We picked up Kyle around 9am this morning. We then went to Lowe's. We had to get brush killer, broad leaf grass, killer, and mold killer. Uhmmm i see a theme here. We then came home and Beth began to weed whack the yard. I called the foot Dr as I did not feel my foot was getting any better. They said I could come in but not until Sept. 11. Hell my foot could fall off by then. I had them ask the doctor if there were any other anti-inflammatory pills I could take as I did not think these were helping. The nurse said she would ask and call me back. So I went out side and did my trimming and pulled some weeds from the flower beds. I came inside about an hour later and the doctor's office called back and said I could come in for a cortisone shot. Past experience told me it would hurt but it was the only thing that would help. So I had an appointment at 4:15pm. We had lunch and Beth went to cut the front yard and Kyle did the back yard. I was told to stay in the house and supervise Kyle from the window. I hate feeling helpless. So I played water girl and stayed off my foot as much as possible. I left for the doctor's office about 4pm. It was only about 10 minutes from the house. I got right in which I thought was a good sign, Boy was I wrong. I waited almost an hour before I saw the doctor. We talked about all the possible solutions and came to the following. I would get a cortisone shot, continue taking the anti inflammatory for 2 more weeks, get fitted for a custom insole, and wear a boot cast for the next 2 weeks. The boot cast was so not in the picture. So now it looks like I will not be going to the Eagles game on Thursday. It requires a lot of walking to get to the stadium and I have to go up and down about 30 stairs to get to our seats. Not sure that is smart right now, but we will see. The couch is suppose to be my best friends the next 2 weeks. That is so not what I had planned. But better to get my foot better now and ready for P-town the second week of October. So it looks like Kyle will be my gopher the rest of the week. He will be so ready for school to start by then.

Don't you just love it. I was in my for 6 weeks before I could finally get back into a shoe. Of course, I had a bunion removed and my second toe's tendon tightened.
