No more rain...

We woke up this morning to a bright sunny day. Beth went out to fill the lawn roller with water and I fixed breakfast. After breakfast, Beth went to rolling the back yard. With all the rain we had it was a good day for it. Kyle and I began pulling weeds from the back fence area. The ivy is beginning to take over nicely and I hope in a couple more years there will no more weeds there. I then had Kyle start picking up the loose stick in the yard. It was not his favorite task and you could tell he had lost his ability to stick with the job. He did find a big stick that he wanted to carve, so I told him as soon as he was done he could work on it. Beth was about finished rolling the yard. She was on the steep side by the back steps. We talked for a while and she only had a little more to do. Next thing I know she turns loose of the roller and it begins rolling down the hill. Picture this, a 150 pound roller going about 40 feet down hill towards a plastic fence. Can you guess the next part. You are right. It went through the bottom part of the fence taking out the last 2 rows. Of course, we now have a hole in the fence and Buster is outside. So I just looked at her and said did you really think that plastic fence was going to stop the roller, Are you crazy? Well I grabbed Buster before he could see an opportunity to get out and put him in the house. Beth was able to fix the fence and get the roller back inside the fence. Sometimes I have to wonder about her. I took a shower as Dawn was going to drop off Rylee around noon. She was going to pickup the pictures at the mall and it was just easier to do it without her. Beth came in to take a shower and I fixed Kyle some lunch. Dawn dropped Rylee off and headed to the mall. Beth got out of shower and got dressed. I handed her Rylee and I had to leave for my follow up doctor's appointment. My knees are better and we have determined that something causes them to hurt when I sit wrong in the chair. I have had no problems since we returned home from Disney and sit differently in the new chair. So the doctor said I would be back to see him sometime in the future as I did have arthritis, but it would be awhile. I got home and Dawn has here. She was going to show us a house down the street that is for sale. They are looking for a new place and Beth's parents might be. We walked down to see it and let me tell you it was no where close to being a $255,000 house. I would give you maybe $100.000. It looked like it had one owner and had never had any updating done in the last 30+ years. It needed a lot of work. So we left and came home. I had to take Kyle to baseball practice at the school. We got there and found a note saying no practice due to wet fields. Well duhhhh. So we came back home. I dropped off Kyle and picked up Beth. We went to Lowe's to get sinks, toilet, faucets, and playground mulch. They had nothing in stock we wanted, so we left and came home. We will try a different store tomorrow. We had dinner with DJ, Maggie, and Payton tonight. It was a great time. We stopped by Rita's for water ice. Kyle and I had Peeps favor and Beth had Swedish fish favor. They were both really good. I am hoping to get a little more work out of Kyle tomorrow then I got today. We still have several projects to do and it is going to be another nice day. We will be coming to KC on April 22 and staying til April 30 or so. It should be a fun trip. Today's picture is of a big topiary troll at Disney.
