Beth coming home...

I was up around 5am this morning, but went back to sleep until 7am. I got up and took a shower and headed to the dentist. The dentist is not my favorite place, but one I must go to every 3 months. After the dentist, I had to go back to professional pharmacy to get a toilet height extender. The only had one that would fix our toilet, so that is better than none. I came home and began installing it and found that I now had to get a new toilet set, as our would not fit. So off to Lowe's I went. After several tries I was able to get the bolts off. It really suck having no hand strength. But finally everything in the bathroom is ready to go. I then had to get Buster's dog food ready. Once again we were out of snack bags, so off to the store I went. So Buster was all ready to go see his girlfriend tonight. I had just enough time to make a sandwich and hit the road. I had to take the caddy today, as Beth wanted to practice getting in and out of it. So I made it done there and we had time to chat about her day and all the things she could do on her own. We headed to the gym around 3pm and we first worked on getting in and out of the car. Beth felt really good about the process. She then took a walk outside while I went to park the car. The PT people took her back to the gym and she did her finally measurements. She was able to get both knees to bend to 90 degrees. We talked about what to expect the next few weeks and got all of our questions answered. So we went back to her room and I packed up all of her stuff she would not need, so we did not have so much to bring home tomorrow. I left around 4:45pm to come home. There was a little rush hour traffic, but not big deal. I fed Buster and took him over to DJ and Maggie's house. I then came home and started on round 2 of getting things ready. I had to remove the rug from under the dining room table. I put a chair by the front door, for Beth to sit in when she comes in from outside. So I think everything is ready for her to come home tomorrow, but I am sure there will be things we will have to work around. It will just be good to have her home. This is the x-ray they took after surgery. You can see the staples in her knee and the darker caps on the end of the bones is what they replaces.
