Snow is a coming...
We had to get up at 7am this morning. We had appointments to see Dr. Bill at 9am. After Dr. Bill we headed to the the broker to talk about our investments and what changes we need to make. After talking with him for a hour and making changes, we left and went to BJ's wholesale club. We needed to get some things for the Super Bowl party on Sunday. After shopping, we headed home. We had lunch and then Beth headed out to get a new gas cap for the snow blower. We think that is the problem with it not working correctly. I had an appointment to meet DJ at Sylvan to go over Kyle's test. We meet with Mike for about an hour and determined Kyle would benefit from some help. He has a lot of problems with sentence structures, so that is why he struggles with writing. He is way above average in reading, but can not write worth crap. We will sign him up for the help he needs and get him back on track. I came home and fixed burgers for dinner. We are expected to get snow, sleet, and ice the next 2 days. It should be fun, NOT.

Pro Bowl Sunday...
We got up around 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and Beth went to 10am mass. I took a shower and then went to Super Wal-mart. I needed a few things that Giant does not carry. I came home around 11:30am and finished removing all the snow from the back of my truck. I then took my truck to the car wash for a much needed bath. Beth is still trying to move things around on her desk. I went downstairs to begin the sorting of scrapbook paper and stickers. I worked until 6pm on it and only made a small dent. I put a ham on for dinner and it was really good. We are now watching the pro bowl game. It was not very interesting and a little lop sided the first half. Only the Super Bowl is left next week and another year of football is over. I sure hope there is football this fall. We will be having a Superbowl party and hope to see you there.

Snow flurries...
We went to breakfast around 9am this morning. After breakfast, we took kyle home. We then made a couple more stops and then it was home ourselves. I finished folding the laundry and then headed downstairs. I thought I could make something the hold the caster so I could get the paper unit up. I finally was able to take a board and use it to hold the caster. It worked out well. I figure it could take days to get a replacement part, so why wait. Beth helped me put some of the holders together as my hands were all worn out from the last couple of days. I am not ready to sort and organized all the scrapbooking stuff, which will be my project for the next several days. I made dinner and we are now watching a little TV before bed. We had some snow flurries, but again nothing stuck to the pavement. We are waiting to see what the big storm on Tuesday brings.

Nice Day...
I was so tired last night I forgot to take out my contacts. So when I woke this morning I could not see and wondered what the hell was going on. I remembered putting solution in the case and adding the insert that hold the contacts, but did not put the contact in the holder. So I took them out and had to wear my glasses all day. Dawn came by around 8:45am. I made sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast. It was kinda a nice day until it starting snowing again. Kyle was outside playing in the snow and trying to build a snow fort. I needed to do laundry and Beth had to try and find her desk. My paper storage cube came, so I went downstairs to put it together. Well it was not all there. The bottom piece was missing a corner, so it would not hold the caster and one of the dividers was broken. So I email the company to see what to do, I refuse to send it all back. They can send the replacements. So I fixed leftover pizza for lunch and Kyle and I watched the movie RED. It was funny, but glad we did not pay full price at the movie theater to watch it. The snow was very light and only lasted about 3 hours. It was to warm to stick to anything, so it melted away. We kept Kyle again tonight and will take him home in the morning. It is nice spending time with him.

So tired...
Well we woke up this morning to about 12 inches of snow on the ground. We had a quick breakfast and were out the door to do some snow blowing. The big blower would just not stay started this morning, so it was put away to be looked at another day. The little one was up for the task. It took us about 2 hours to do the front driveway and a path along the back sidewalk. We called Dawn and Jo to see it they needed help and they were just starting their driveway. We told them we would be over in 30 minutes. The snow was wet and heavy and with 12 inches it would take forever to do it by hand. So we loaded up the slow blower and off we went. It only took us about 40 minutes to clean off their driveway. We took had a rest and then played with Rylee for awhile. We then headed over to pick up Kyle. He is out of school tomorrow and spending the night with us. So we picked him up and we came home. Beth called Kim and she needed us to do some plowing for her. So Beth cleaned off the back deck and we headed over to Kim's house. We plowed a place for her car and then headed home. As we were coming up our road we saw a little old lady trying to clear her driveway. We stopped and offered to do it for her. She was so appreciate for the help. She said she had to pays us for doing the work. We did not want anything for it, but she said she could not allow us to do it unless she paid us. We said ok fine. So off we went clearing the driveway. It only took us about an hour and we felt good doing it. We came home and took hot showers and then went to dinner. We are now resting and can't wait for bed tonight. Today's pictures are of the snow. In the second picture you can see the dear tracks coming from the woods.

Snow everywhere...
When I got up at 5am to pee there was little or no snow on the ground. But when we finally got up at 8:45am, boy was it a different story. The snow was coming down hard and you had a hard time seeing outside. We had breakfast and the snow was starting to let up a bit. So we got dressed and went outside for the first on many snow removals. Beth used the little snow blower to make a path up to the mail box so she could mail a letter. I used the shovel to move the snow from the front of the garage door. Then I was given the little blower and headed around back to clear that area. I finished the back and came around front. Beth was having a hard time getting the big blower started. So I just began using the little one to clear what I could. I would look up every now and then and I know it got kicked a couple of times, so I knew it was not going well. Beth then gave up and used the shovel on the front walkway. We finished the driveway and came inside. It was still lightly snowing. We had lunch and rested a bit. Early evening you could hear the sleet hitting the window and we saw lighting. So strange to see lighting with snow on the ground. We had a late dinner and could see the snow was starting to fall again and heavy. By 10pm when we let Buster outside, the back door was hitting snow. It appears we have about a foot already. It is suppose to end around 1am, so we will see what tomorrow brings. Today's picture is of Rylee getting her hair cut and sitting in the chair all by herself. What a cutie..

Heat Wave...
We had to get up at 7am this morning. The sears guy was coming between 8am and noon to look at our washer. We are getting a F11 message during the spin cycle. F codes mean an electrical problem. So we had breakfast and waited. At 11am they called to say he was running late and it would be after 12pm before he could get here. What the hell did we have to get up at 7am for then. So at 12:50pm he shows up. I explained the problem and off to work he goes. He took the top cover off and boy washing machines are sure different than they were 10 years ago. With all the wires and 2 mother boards, they are so fussy. So after a doing some checking and $138 dollars later, it was a loose wire. I guess with all the spinning they do this is a common issue. So it is fixed and ready to go. I had to leave around 2:40pm to go pick up Kyle form school. He was having his test at Sylvan at 4pm. It was a real heat wave and got up to 40 degrees to day. But rain, sleet, and snow are on they way and will hit tonight and last for the next couple days. So I took Kyle for his test. DJ met me there after she got off work. The test lasted 2 hours and he got out of taking a couple of tests that would have taken an additional 1 1/2 hours. We will meet with them on Saturday to see what the results are. I came home and fixed dinner. We tried a new recipe tonight. It was spaghetti with chicken and a peanut sauce over it. It had cucumbers and peppers in it. Well it looked good, but boy oh boy was the peanut sauce hotter than hell. It had a good favor and we both wanted to eat more, but it was too hot. I got some milk to eat a little more, but my lips were burning too bad. Who knew peanut sauce was so hot, well not me. So that is off the list, never to be made again. Beth finished putting together the last storage unit of mine. I am still waiting for the paper storage unit to get here to start the re-org process. Might do a little tomorrow if it is going to be nasty outside. So off to bed as I am tired and so ready for sleep.

I Love IKEA...
After breakfast and showers, I headed outside to put the cargo net in the back of the truck. We headed to IKEA for a little shopping. I needed new storage units for all the scrap booking stuff that is now on all over the floor. We had looked in the catalogs and found a few things to look at. So off we went making down the items we wanted. We ended up getting 2 metal filing units which will be great for stickers, a large wooden unit to set the cricut machine on and has drawers, a bookcase, and lots of boxes. Beth also got a filing unit for her desk. She had a plastic unit now and calls it some really bad names each time she needs to get in it a find something. I think it will be headed to the trash, but don't tell the unit that. We checked out and found we spent way more than planed but we really needed. It was nice to know we could get 2 hot dogs, chips, and a drink for a total of 2 bucks. We loaded the truck and headed home. The tricky part was getting everything down the stairs. As you know nothing comes assembled at IKEA and is all in compact heavy boxes. We were able to put the boxes on the chair and roll them to the steps, set them on the steps, and slide them down to a waiting dolly. Easy as pie. Beth began putting her unit together and I helped a little. Kim and Jojo stopped by for awile after Jojo was out of school. DJ called and I will be taking Kyle to Sylvan for his testing tomorrow. It is a 2 hour test so I need to make sure the DS is fully charged. We did get the bookcase assembled tonight, so we are making progress. It was cold as heck here this morning. I think the temperature gague read 1 degree and it looks like a 40 degree day tomorrow. But snow, sleet, sleet and rain are on the way for Wednesday.

And then there were 2...
Beth was up at 7am to take her shower and head to church. I got up shortly after that and took my shower. Beth picked me up after church and we went to the diner for breakfast. The girl scouts are out in force selling cookies everywhere you go. After breakfast we went to Lowe's and girl scouts were there also. Next was off to the pet store for dog food and again girl scouts selling cookies. I truly expected them to be in the driveway selling cookies when we got home. We left around 2pm to go to the Rhotini's house for the game and to play with Rylee. Rylee got her hair cut yesterday and looks so cute. Jo made meatloaf for dinner and it was really good. We watched the Packers win and are now watching the Steelers/Jets game. Then will be down to only 2 teams. Boy was it cold today. The high I think was only 17, but coming home tonight it was 5 degrees. We are going shopping at IKEA tomorrow and I can't wait.

A day in the downstairs..
We got up around 9am and had breakfast and showers. We then went downstairs to work. The holiday room needed reorganizing and the tool room, well it was just a mess. We then decided to move things around in the scrap booking room. It seemed to make more room, but I really need a major upgrade on all the scrap booking stuff. So we are hitting IKEA on Monday to see what they have. We headed to Lowe's and Michael's, but found nothing we needed. We even went to Target and still came home with nothing. Beth was able to make flight arrangements to go see her dad in North Caroline again. They have a lot of things to talk about and papers need signing. So I will be another week with out her, but should have stuff around here to keep me busy. We had ribs for dinner tonight and they were good. The menu plan is working out well and keeps us on track. It was sure cold here today. Only got to a grand old high of 19. Tomorrow will only be a high of 11 and a low of 4.

Day with Dawn...
We woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow. We had breakfast and Beth went out to clear the driveway and walkway. I took a shower and began cleaning out the hall pantry. Dawn called and asked if she could come over. She was on a 2 hour delay and her roads were still not cleared. We said sure. So Dawn came over just as Beth was cleaning off the walkway. Dawn made herself at home in the living room and I continued cleaning the pantry. I have lost the electric cord to the griddle I use for pancakes and other things. I was hoping it got lost in the pantry, but it was not. I am not sure where it is and Beth and I have looked everywhere, except where it is. I guess we will see if we can get a replacement or just get a new griddle. I fixed lunch as Dawn had to be back to work at 1:15pm. Dawn was able to tell us that the house we were looking at to buy and flip just sold today. So we will look and see if we can find anything else. We want to try this and see if it is for us.

More snow on the way..
Beth was up early this morning as she had to meet her Dads broker at 9am and had to be at her brother's house by 8:30am. I slept until she left and then got up to take a shower. I started laundry and headed to the grocery store. We have found that not planing what we are going to eat is not a good idea. So we are going to a menu plan. So I went to the store and picked a variety of things and then stopped to get gas. I got home around 11:30am and put the groceries away. I sat down and made a list everything we had in the house for both dinner and breakfast. Beth was home around noon and we had lunch. I then had her go day by day and write down what she wanted from the list. That way we know for the next 7 days what we are having for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is a little tricky as I never now who will be home and when we eat, so it will be sandwich, soup, salad, or leftover kind of day. It also lets me know what I need to get out of the freeze each day. I finished the laundry and put it away, which I hate doing. Beth put the belt on the snow blower and cleaned off the front sidewalk. We are expected to get 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight. It seems we are on a every 4th day of snow. At least it has not lasted long and is easy to deal with. So we will see what we wake up to in the morning.

An adventure for lunch...
We were up around 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and showers and headed out. We first went to the parts place to get a belt for the little snow blower. After that we headed to Beth's dad house. We cleaned out the fridge and picked up some stuff. Since we were kinda close to Lansdale, we went on an adventure to find the Long John Silvers there. The GPS lead us right to it and boy was it a great lunch. We then headed to Super wal-mart, best buy, and CVS. We finally made our way back home around 4pm. Beth played on the computer and I played with my DS game. We were not really hungry for dinner so it was a popcorn night. Frank called to tell us that Beth's dad was being released and would be staying with Frank. It was great news. We just hope his aggression issues get better. So the next round of snow is due Thursday night with 1 -3 inches expected. Sure am glad we found the belt. It was a good day..

Snow and Ice..
We woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow and freezing rain on top. By mid morning it had changed to rain. Beth left around 1:30pm to go get a hair cut. I decided to shovel off the back sidewalk and deck. It was not too bad as a lot of it way already melting. What I was not able to get with the shovel melted with the temperatures in the high 30's. I started on the driveway. The snow blower was not going to work on this stuff, so I had to use the shovel. I got about half of it done and came inside for a break. I talked to my mom for a while and then realized it was 2 hours since Beth had been gone. So I called to make sure she was OK and she was in the driveway cleaning the rest of it. What a gal.

More snow on the way...
We were up around 7:30am this morning. We had showers and were off to see Dr. Bill for adjustments. After we saw Dr. Bill, we stopped at Sylvan learning center to get some information for Kyle. After that we stopped at Dunkin donuts and then headed to DJ's house. Both boys were sick and a good thing there was no school today. We gave DJ the information and then headed home. Beth took down the Christmas lights and I brought all the Christmas stuff up to the garage. We then put all the Christmas stuff in the attic. All signs of Christmas are gone for another another 11 months. Beth took Buster to the groomers and I did his bedding. Beth took a look at the little snow blower and found we need a new belt for it. I fixed steaks for dinner and then we went to Passmore to see about getting a belt. They did not have any, so we will try a different place tomorrow, weather permitting. The weather is suppose to turn bad this evening. We are to get 4 inches of snow then freezing rain on top of that. so we will see what it is like in the morning.

Lazy Sunday Day
We slept in until 9am and boy did it feel good. I fixed breakfast of pancakes and sausage. Beth took and shower and headed to church. I took a shower and look at some insurance stuff on line. Beth got home around 12:15pm and we then headed to the Rhotini's house to watch some football. It was a great day of watching football, visiting, and playing with Rylee. We need more days like today.

Beth is Home...
I had a hard time sleeping last night. Guess I was excited that Beth was coming home. I was up at 8am and took a shower. I picked up a little and talked to Beth after she got to the airport. I checked the flight status and her plans was due in 20 minutes early. So I left for the airport around 11:30am. Beth called around 12:40 pm and was heading to the baggage area. It was so nice to her and I was go glad to have her home. We stopped at the Cheese cake factory for a late lunch but it was going to be a hour wait, so we left. We went to P. F. Chang. We took seats at the bar. The food was ok, but I would not have to eat there again. We came home and Buster was so happy to see Beth. We are now watching the playoffs games and just finished chili dogs with slaw for dinner. Beth said there is no way in hell she is getting up early tomorrow, since she has been up everyday at 5:30am. We are going to the Rhotini's house to watch the games tomorrow and play with Rylee.

Movie Time..
I was up at 8am this morning. I took a shower and had breakfast. Talked to Beth for awhile and then headed out. I had to go to the pack and ship place and mail a box to my mom. Boy will she be surprised. well not really as she read the blog, but she will be surprised as to what is in the box. Then headed to Oaks to do some shopping at BJ's and then to see a movie. The movie, Season of the Witch. started at 12:10pm. It was an OK movie and I would not buy the DVD of it, but glad I saw it. I headed home and put away the stuff I got at BJ's. Buster was so glad to have his chickens strips. he was tired of the little leftovers and prefers a whole strip, but will take what he can get. I put a pot of chili on for Sunday. It is always better once it sets a day or two. I saw the weatherman is calling for snow showers tomorrow. I will be so pissed if Beth is delayed and can't get home. But the weather man says it will hit in the afternoon and will only be a dusting. He better be right this time or someone is going to pay. I will head to airport around noon tomorrow as Beth is due in at 1pm. I found the cell phone lot so I will wait for her call.

An evening at the Rhotini's
I got up around 8:30am this morning. I took a shower and had some breakfast. I wanted to go over to Sylvan Learning center. Kyle has asked for help with school and we told him we would check it out. He seems to only be able to focus on one subject at at time, so we are hoping they can help him with study habits. So off I went and wouldn't you know it, they were closed until Monday. So I will go back and talk to them. I them had to go to CVS as Beth had a couple of prescriptions that were ready. I came home and made another batch of cookies. I had lunch and then did some laundry. I have a box to ship to my mom tomorrow and then I think I will go to the movies. I also need to go to the whole sale club as Buster is out of chicken strips. I left around 5pm to go over to the Rhotini's house. Rylee is getting so big and talking up a storm. She can say ma ma, thank you, and hates to be told no. I loved spending time with her and visiting with Dawn and Jo. It was a great evening.

Not to bad...
I woke up this morning to about 5 inches of snow on the ground. The sun was shining and I wanted to get the snow off the driveway. So I bundled up and headed to the garage. I filled the snow blower with gas and plugged it in. It started the first time and off I went. I had never done the driveway by myself. I am used to following Beth around after she uses the big blower. So I did the best I could and it was not too bad. I was about 95% done with the driveway, when the blower stopped turning. Beth thinks we need to tighten the cable, but I had to do the back sidewalk by hand. I was dead tired when I came inside. It took me about an hour and 45 minutes to clean up the snow, but it is done. The sun was able to melt what I missed off the driveway and well the back never gets sun, so I will work on it again tomorrow. I took a shower and rested for an hour. I then had some lunch and began making cookies. It was cold outside and having the oven on helped warm the house. Beth called to say her dad was having problems with his potassium levels. So they are running some test. He is having problems communicating his needs to the nurses also. Beth brother Tom is coming in from Mexico tomorrow, so that will be good for them to have someone else around. She said she is tired of eating out, so I guess I am out of luck for getting her to go out and eat. So home cooking it is for the then week or so. I am going over the the Rhotini's house tomorrow night to visit and play with Rylee for awhile. I so miss her and it has been a whole week since I last saw her.

It's snowing...
Beth called around 8:30am this morning. Her dad had been moved to a private room and was doing well. I had breakfast and a shower and began cleaning the mud room. I needed to sack up all the magazines and take them to the recycle place. So I loaded them up and took them down there. There was a chill in the air that snow was on it's way. I then vacuumed then house and cleaned the kitchen. I had leftover tacos for lunch and then had to decided what to have for dinner. Unlike the summer time it now takes forever for something to thaw from the freezer. I decided to head to the store. If I was going to be stuck int he house all day tomorrow, i might as well make cookies and head the house with the oven. The weather man said bitter cold weather mixed with snow will be here all day tomorrow. So it sounds like a good cookie making day. So off to the store I went. I picked up a piece of chicken for dinner and made some rice. The snow started around 6pm. By 10pm we had about an inch already. I was able to cover the steps so it would be easier to remove the snow. So we will see what the morning brings, but I am sure it will be more snow.

Calm Before the storm...
I got up around 8:30am this morning. I took a shower and had breakfast. Beth called to say that they had about 8 inches of snow and it was still snowing. She said her dad was doing a lot better and we made reservation for her to come home on Saturday. They will move him out of the ICU ward as soon as they have a bed available. I had to go fill the car up with gas and then went to Target and then to the grocery store. I was back home around 1pm and it was getting colder outside. Our snow is suppose to hit Tuesday afternoon some time. The guy came back around 5pm to pick up the lawnmowers for service. It was really cold out and the wind was blowing hard. I fixed tacos for dinner and am not watching the BCS championship game.

Christmas packed up...
I had a hard time getting to sleep last night. I am not used to sleeping by myself, but did fall asleep around 1am. I was up around 9am. I had breakfast and took a shower. I then went out to shovel the snow off the sidewalks and driveway. I only took me a hour to complete it and it was not all that hard. I was back inside by the time the Chiefs kicked off. It was a good game up to half time, then they just lost it. I was able to pack up the Christmas stuff and move it to the attic. I still have the stuff downstairs to move to the attic, but will have to wait for Beth to come home to do that. Beth said her dad was doing better today and they might move him to a regular room tomorrow if he continues to make progress. I am hope she will be able to come home on Saturday and we will know tomorrow. Next it was time for the Eagles to play and they did not look good either. I will be nice to watch football next week and not have to worry about our teams and how they are doing. I have a busy day tomorrow and want to get some things done before the next snow storm hit on Tuesday. I have alot of projects to do inside and since Beth is gone, this is a good time to do them. Any time I have to clean out something, I don't have to worry about things I throw out come back into the house.

Not a great day...
I woke up at 7:30am this morning and Beth was up around 9am. I fixed breakfast and the snow began to fall again. Beth got a call from her brother saying her dad was doing better. Great news we thought. I took a shower and began working on finding my desk. Beth took her shower and was playing POGO. I had to pack up last years statements and stubs. I was able to find my desk, dust it off, and got everything packed before the phone rang. Frank called to say that Beth's dad had taken a turn for the worse. As Beth packed, I looked on line to see what flights were available. There was a 3:35 and a 5:15 with US Air. We loaded the car and headed to the airport. Thank god there was no traffic and the snow had stopped about 10 minutes away from home. I dropped Beth off at the airport and waited in the cell phone lot, until I knew she had a ticket. They were able to get her on the 3;35 flight, which we both thought would never happen, but it did. I stopped by the store on the way home and made it home before kickoff of the first playoff game. It was a great game and a big upset for the Seahawks. I am still waiting to hear how Beth's dad is going. She should be at the hospital, so the waiting begins. So since Beth is not here to proof the blog you will be getting the first time version. So please forgive the spelling and grammar errors and just enjoy the happens.

Snow Snow Snow,,,
Well we woke up this morning to snow on the ground. I would say between 3 to 4 inches. I made breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and rolls. We then took showers and again did nothing. They had to put Beth's dad in the the hospital last night. He was so dehydrated and has a UTI infection. So it has been a long day waiting on information, but things were looking better tonight. I did go down and packed the ornaments on the Christmas tree and packed the stocking and holders. I would like to get everything back into the attic on Tuesday. Then maybe we can get the storage room cleaned and organized. Beth was able to get the snow removed from the sidewalks and driveway. The streets were clear and things were running good.

Insurance Sucks
The phone woke up up at 7:45am this morning and I was sleeping so peaceful. I got up and made us Disney pancakes. They were pretty good but it took too long to cook them, so we ate in shifts. We took showers and really did nothing most of the day. We did get letters in the mail that they are raising our medical insurance $50 more a month. I refuse to pay that much for insurance. So I jumped on the Internet to check what other companies were offering. Boy is it confusing on what the hell is out there and what you need. Nothing is ever simple anymore. So after hours of asking questions, taking surveys, and getting quotes, I think we are going to go with Aetna. I will fill out the application first, since I have the biggest questions of health. We are hoping that my cancer will not effect the price. So tomorrow I will begin the process of filling out the application and waiting to hear. We then had to run up to Beth's dad's house to check on something and to bring in the trash can. We came home and had sausage and cheese for dinner. We are expecting to wake up to snow tomorrow, so we will see if it is true or not.

Feeling Human Again...
I was nice to wake up and feel human again. I was tired of being sick and not feeling well. After breakfast and showers, I began on the laundry AGAIN. It seems like I just did it, but that was 6 days ago. I then went to Best Buy, Target, and AC Moore. It was nice to get out and the weather was pretty good. But look out, snow is on the way. Came home and fixed us lunch. Beth was glad I was also feeling better, but for different reasons. She was tired of having to fix her own meals and it not being what she wanted. She is used to me fixing it and putting on the table and her eating. It took her to much time to figure out what to eat, fix it, then eat. She likes skipping the first 2 steps. That's my girl. Gotta love her and I do. She then headed up to her dad's house. She wanted to clean out the fridge since her dad is in NC with Frank. She was back home around 5:30pm. I heated up the pork and sauerkraut for dinner and I am go glad my taste buds are back. So with snow coming in I need to head to the store tomorrow and make sure we have enough of what ever. You can never trust the weather man on the snow amounts.

Too many mice..
We were up around 9:30am this morning. I thought I was feeling better, but I was wrong. Beth was not feeling any better either. We will both try and get in to see the doctor tomorrow. The bug guy came around 11:30am. We told him about the mice problem we have and he took a look. He said that since thy dig up the area across the street for a new house, that they found their way to our house. He also told us that mice are almost blind and find their way by feel and smell. The don't stray to far from where they come in either. So all the trap that we set in the middle of the room, thinking they would go after the bait, do no good. You have to place the trap right up against the wall where you think they are coming in at. We did not know this and it a good to know thing. So we will go at them form a different aspect. He did set out some new bait and if we still have them in a few days to call and he will do some additional things. I spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping in the chair. I know Beth was able to use most of the oranges we brought home from AZ and made juice. We did receive our boxes we shipped home from christmas. It was nice to see our christmas presents and get to use them.

Having Rylee is so different now...
I got up at 6:45am this morning. I took my shower and was all ready to go when Jo dropped Rylee off at 7:30am. I feed her breakfast of yogurt and a banana along with her milk. After Beth took her shower, we headed to see Dr. Bill. Rylee was all excited to go for a ride in the car. Dr. Bill told us that he might have someone who wanted to buy our playoff ticket. He would call us later today to let us know. We are so happy to hear that news, since we had to buy the tickets, but did not want to go sit in the cold to watch the game. We came home and went downstairs to play. It is so different watching her these days. She can go where ever she wants and can get into anything. She started to get sleepy around noon, so I came upstairs to get lunch ready. She had roast beef with mac and cheese. It was her first time for roast beef and she loved it. Of course, mac and cheese is her favorite. I gave her a bottle and put down at 12:30pm. I think she was a little nervous, since it had been awhile since she spent time her. So after 5 minutes of crying, I went in and she was so tired she was crying with her eyes closed. I picked her up and it took her about 3 minutes to calm down and to fall sleep. She slept for 2 house. Sh had now learned to do laps through the kitchen hallway and living room. All the kids do it and she is no different. Jo came to pick her up around 6pm. I had to fix steaks for dinner as they had been in the fridge to long. And of course, the grill was out of gas. So out can the Foreman grill. Of course, nothing I eat has any taste nor do I have much of an appetite. Each day I fell a little better than the day before, so I hope by Friday I will be fine. WE are hoping to do nothing tomorrow, but rest and relax. The bug guy come in the morning , so we hope can can get rid of the mice problem we have cause it is really starting to piss me off. Jen, I might need to borrow the Rat Zapper you have. We just got a call and the playoff tickets are sold. We are so happy. Today's picture is of Rylee and Aunt Beth having ice cream for a snack

The End Of the Regular Season
We had an end of season gathering today and watched the Eagles 2nd team lose to the Cowboys 1st team in the last minute of the game. We are both very tired and fighting some creeping crud, we will start watching the late game in bed and I bet we don't make it to half time. Good night.

Happy New Year
Well my new year did not start out very well. I was not feeling very well last night and it got worse. I slept until 11am this morning. I wanted to make Beth breakfast before she left for her dad's house and that did not happen. She said she left around 9am but I have no idea. I was able to put a brisket in the oven for the football party tomorrow and then fell asleep in the chair. I finally took a shower around 1pm and then put the pork and sauerkraut on the stove. I was still sleepy and running a fever. Beth called to make sure I took the brisket out of the over and put the roast in. I finally starting feeling a little better around 4pm and hope it is behind me. I was able to get all the food ready for tomorrow but not much more than that. Beth was able to get her dad all packed and he will head to North Caroline with Frank tomorrow. So the new year is here and let's hope it gets better.
