Flooding everywhere...

We were both up around 8:15am. I took a shower and headed to the dentist. It was already starting to rain. As I was leaving, It was really pouring. I picked up Beth and we went to reading. I had a book that I ordered at Barnes and Noble and it finally came in. I dropped Beth off at the door as it was still raining hard. We stopped at 5 Guys for lunch as I was starving. We then went to Reading China and Glass. We picked up all the spoons, turners, and other kitchen stuff needed for the condo. We will be back after we know more about what we want in the condo. We started back around 2pm and there was so much flooding everywhere. I have only seen this kind of flooding once since being here. I had to go se Dr. Karen, as my hips were still not feeling right. She adjusted my back and hip and they are feeling better. I hope they feel a lot better tomorrow. We were sitting in the living room and saw a long line of cars coming down the road and figured the roads around us are closed. Sure enough, 2 of the roads were closed. I had to see what tomorrow brings as it is going to rain all night long.

Happ Birthday Payton...

We were up around 8am this morning. we had showers and left around 10am. I had an appointment to see the foot doctor as my insole for my shoe was not fitting right. She agreed and we had to send it back and get some of it shaved off. We then went to the bank and opened an account for the Florida condo. Then it was off to the Auto tag place and Beth want to get the 999 Ghosts auto plate transferred to the jetta. It was starting to rain and will be raining the next 3 days. Oh yea... We then went to Kohl's for a couple things and then came home. We had lunch and Beth left to go pick up Buster's toe grips. It should help with him sliding on the floor and the deck. We went and had dinner with DJ, Maggie, and the boys. It was Payton's birthday dinner. We then went back to the house for cake and ice cream. So Happy 7th Birthday Payton!!!

Approval received...

Beth was up early and out the door by 7:10am. She had the first shift at watching Rylee. I took a shower and headed out to see Dr. Bill. After that, I went up to watch Rylee, who was still sleeping, and Beth went to see Dr. Bill. She came up later and we watched several movies. Rylee was feeling better and will likely go to school tomorrow. We did hear that we were approved with the HOA on the condo. So the only issue right now is what we will do about the a/c. We heard that it has a leak somewhere and will need to be fixed. So we are waiting on a estimate.

Very Tired

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up and took a shower and had to fold the rest of the clothes. We had breakfast and then headed to Colonial gardens. We got some more flowers and a full truck load of mulch.  We came home and I started digging a hole for the new bush and began unloading the mulch. I was able to get pretty close to both areas by the pool, so we did not have to carry a lot of mulch. We finished the back yard part around 1pm and had some lunch. We then started on the front by the flag pole. We planted flowers, plants, and laid down more mulch. Beth cut the back yard while I finished up everything. Around 4pm, we called it a day. We rested a bit on the deck and then came inside. I tried a new receipt for dinner and it was really god and will be made again. We are watching Rylee tomorrow as she has strep and was still running a fever. So I am off to a hot shower, some Ben-Gay, and nite nite time.

Yard sales...

We were up at 6am this morning. We took showers and headed out the door by 7am. We stopped and got breakfast and then headed to Jack Flee market. There were not a lot of people out as I think the rain last night scared some people off. we did find a few things for the condo. We then just started stopping a few more yard sales and a couple of barn sales. We again for a couple thing, but for the most part it was a bust. But we will try again next week. We came home around 11:30am and I left and went to the store. We had some lunch and Beth parked the old car by the mail box and put a for sale sign on it. She did have one guy stop by and seemed interested. Beth got some of the plants planted and we will get the rest done tomorrow. After dinner, we went to Lowe's and looked at a few things for the condo. we then went and had some ice cream and came home. I am so ready for bed.

Just in time...

We got up around 7:30am. I took a shower and had some breakfast. I went our side to work on the yard some more. Beth dis laundry and fixed lunch. It was kinda strange in the reverse role mode. My mom called around noon, as my stepdad had question with his pandigital ereader. After several conversation, we determined it was time for a new ereader. So off to Barnes and Noble he went to get a Nook. I think he will be a lot happier with it and it is easier to work with. I got all the dirt unloaded and Beth went to Lowe's to get a couple see blankets for the back. we put some seed on half the bare spots. No point in doing all the spots as Buster will not stay off of it. So maybe alittle at a time will help. Eric, the landscape guy came by to look at the tress we had issues with,. Most of them were fine, but a couple may have frost bite, but should be ok. He will have to come back and stake up the tree that fell over. Beth cut the front yard for the first time this year. Her back help up pretty good through the process. We left and went to Reading for some shopping. We went to Olive Garden for dinner and it started to rain just as we got inside. So we got all our yard work done just in time for the rain.

Very tired....

We were up around 8am this morning. we had breakfast and took showers. Beth went to work on her deck and I headed outside. I wanted to get the areas in front of the deck started. We just left it last year and it got to late and we really did not know what we wanted. So one side will be blood grass and some other flowers, to be determined, and the other side will be a mulch area for the gnome garden. So I had to move the blood grass from the one side and plant it on the other side. I stopped for lunch and then we headed to colonial gardens for a load of dirt and flowers. I got a full scoop of dirt and boy was the truck back end heavy. I was able to get a bout half of it unloaded tonight and in the flower bed area. I then laid down a dirt on the bare spot in the back yard and put some grass seed down. By then my arms, back, and legs were saying they were done for the day. We ordered dinner from Ice House and Dawn and Rylee got here just after the delivery guy left. We watched the Pirate Princess again and then Dawn and Rylee left. I an now ready for bed and it is only 8pm. I will unload the rest of the dirt tomorrow and get a load of mulch.

QVC shopping...

We got up around 8am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. We left around 9:30am and headed to the QVC outlet. I needed some Lock & Locks for the condo. It took us about 30 minutes to get there. We got there and found they did not have any Lock & Locks. We did find a pressure cooker and it was 35% off. We then headed to the QVC store and found the Lock & Locks. We then had some lunch and came home. We received our inspection of the condo. as we thought the a/c is not in good shape. There was also an issue with one of the outlets in the living room. There were several other little things and they were not an issue. Our realtor is going to have a guy look at the a/c and let us know what he thinks. One thing after another. So now we are watching QVC on TV and ordered a few things.

Hair cut day...

We lost our electric around 2:30am. Not sure why as there was no wind or rain. It was out for about 20 minutes. It took a little while to go back to slept, but we slept until 8am. We both had hair cut today and we needed them. It started to rain around 2pm, but did not last long. After dinner, we went up to Dawn's and as soon as we walked into the door, it cut loose. It only last about 10 minutes, but it came down hard.

Ridding with Kyle...

I got up around 7:30am this morning, while Beth slept until 9:15am. I left to go pick up Kyle around 10am. I let him drive my truck most of the day today. We went and got much and then came home. He was a little nervous getting on the highway as it was his first time. He unloaded all the mulch and put it in the flower bed next to the house. He then cut the grass and hauled some brick out of the yard. We all left around 12:30pm to go get some lunch and then I took him home. DJ took him down to the track and I followed as 2 licensed drivers had to be there for them to drive on the track. He was there about an hour and had some issues with his car. I then came home and was ready for a nap. We left and went to Lowe's for some things and then came home. We had left overs for dinner and they were good. We had a couple more things to do for the condo today and the inspection is being done tomorrow. Hope they don't find anything wrong.

Happy Easter...

Beth was up and out the door by 8am. I got up and took a shower. I had to do the towel and sheets we purchased for the condo. Beth came home and we had breakfast and read the paper. I made deviled eggs for dinner. We headed over to Aunt Eenie's house around 3pm. We had a great dinner and talked about the Nov. Disney trip. Happy Easter to all and hope you had a great day.

More shopping...

We were up around 8am. I took a shower and loaded up the banker boxes. We had 16 boxes to be shredded. We headed to Amity and found a long line. It was done in front of a grocery store and people were using the cart to put there items in. We that was not going to work for us as only 3 boxes would fit in a cart. So we talked to the people in charge and found that we could stand in line and when it was our turn, I could back the truck up to the area. So this worked out well for us. So after unloading the boxes, we were on our way. We had to get propane for the grill and then came home. We unloaded the boxes as they only took the paper inside. We then had to go to the post office and to the Fed Ex office. We came home and had lunch and then went back to Kohl's. We still had the 30% off our entire purchase, so we got towels, sheets, coffee maker, and dish towels. Most of the items were already on sale, so we saved even more. We came home and both of us took a nap. Beth's back is getting better, so we try not to push outings. After dinner, we went to K-mart and got a few of the dishes we needed for the condo. We are pretty set for the basics and have saved a lot.

Coloring eggs....

We were up around 7:30am. Beth was hurting a lot and called the doctor. He gave her some pain pills and they seemed to be working. I had to go to the store to get eggs for coloring and some other things. We spent part of the day filling out more paperwork for the condo. We know that 2 of the people we put down as references got emails to fill out. So at least that process is going forward. Everyone got here around 6pm and we had pizza first and then colored eggs. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a good time.

Busy day...

We got up around 7:30am this morning. we found we had an email for the realtor with what needed to be done next with the condo association. Beth made a call and they sent us some information. I printed the condo rules off and Beth went to see Dr. Jill for another adjustment. When she got home we read the rules and did not see anything that would make us want to cancel the contract. We then started filling out the application. I had to go to Staples to get some ink to print off some forms we had to take to our banks. I left around 3pm to go to my bank and Beth left to go to hers when I got home. I did manage to get some laundry done also. We have decided not to go to KC as we will probably have to go back to Florida for an interview and closing. After dinner, we went to Kohl's and got a great deal on pot and pans. We are getting things little by little and as they are on sale and we have coupons.

We have a condo...

What a day it has been. I got up around 7:30am and logged onto the computer. We had to print and sign the new offer sheet. So Beth got up and we both signed and we faxed the paperwork. Then we heard form Rob that there were 2 changes and wee had to refax everything again. Well our fax is not the fastest, so it took us 20  minutes to fax all the pages. We then sat in dismay that we had just bought a condo. We were told that the LLC for the seller had to approve it, but there was nothing to worry about. we took shower and finally had some breakfast. Beth had to go back to se Dr. Karen for another adjustment. They are thinking she might have a pinched nerve, but she was a little better today. She will go back again tomorrow for a follow up. We came home and had some lunch. we left again around 1:30pm to go see the financial advisor. We then came home and rob had sent an e-mail of all the stuff we needed to do. We had to set up the inspection and we have to get insurance. we should be getting the info on the HOA for the condo tomorrow. we may have to go down for a interview, but will not know for a few days. After dinner, we went to Kohl's to look at some kitchen stuff and get some prices. Our closing date is May 8th, which means the trip to KC many have to be cancelled, but we don't know yet.

Bad Back.

Beth got up this morning and could not walk. Her back hurt so bad that she could hardly get around. She called Dr. Bill, but they were not in the office until 2:45pm. We had an email from the realtor with a counter offer of $250,000. we have talked a lot and expected it to be that. we talked to our realtor around 9am about our options and the next step. We have decided to decline their offer as I don't think they will every come down to what we need. So now we have decided to go back to the first place and put in a higher offer. We realize that is the place we want to be and we will not find anything cheaper. So we made another offer and hope to hear in a couple days if all parties agree to the process. It has rained all day long and very heavy at times. The river and the pond behind us is almost out of it's banks. Good thing we live on a hill. Beth went to see Dr. Jill for another adjustment and was feeling better when she left. So we hope everything is better tomorrow.

Time to rethink our position...

Well we heard back on the offer this morning. The client first lowered his offer but after thinking about it all night, he changed it and when back to a full price offer again. So I do not think he wants to really sell it for anything but a full price. We did make a counter, but we all fell it will not fly. So it is time to rethink what it is we want to do. We are going to talk with our realtor in the morning. We went to see Dr. Bill this morning as we both needed adjustments. We sat outside a bit and enjoyed the nice day. I cleaned house a bit and DJ stopped over for a visit. After she left, we had lunch and Beth had to do some tax stuff.

Grayson birthday party

I slept until 9am this morning. I got up and took a shower. Beth went to get gas in the car and picked up a paper. We had to drop off the freezer we sold at 11am. We are so glad to get it out of the garage. We left around 12:30 to headed to New Jersey to go to Grayson's first birthday party. It was a good time and Grayson had fun. We came home around 4:40pm and we were both stuffed from eating at the party. so we had a little of this and a little of that for dinner. We still have not heard anything about the offer and may not until morning.

New offer...

We were up around 8am this morning. We loaded the truck with all the boxes we wanted to get shredded and headed to Amity. Well dummy me had the dates wrong and it is next Saturday. So we came hoe and unloaded them in the garage and will be ready for next week-end. We then worked in the yard as it was a nice day. We put in another offer on the condo that needs renovating as the guy seems to be playing hardball. So we will see where this offer goes. Beth went to church and I fixed dinner. we are now sitting by the fire pit outside enjoying a nice spring evening.

Movie day...

We both got up at 8am this morning. Beth took a shower and I made hand pies. Beth has been craving cherry pie so I made 10 little cherry pies. I then took a shower, just has Beth's brother arrived. we had not heard anything on our offer, so the realtor was checking on it.  We decided to go to the movies. I saw Divergent and Beth saw the new Muppet movie. As we were leaving the movie, we got a text from the realtor. I guess the owners did not like our offer being so low and had emotions involved in the process. He came back with a full offer counter. So I realtor is working with theirs to see what the happy meeting ground might be, My thought is if you are that emotionally attached to a place, then maybe you should not be selling it and maybe you have the wrong realtor to guide you. So we will see where it goes from here. It was a nice day and even got to 80 degrees. We have had short on the last 2 days and hope for a couple more before driven back to long pants.

Another offer made...

I slept until 8:45am this morning. We both took showers and had breakfast. I text our realtor and we put in an offer on another condo. We then left and went to Pep Boys, Tractor Supply, and then to the grocery store. We came home and had to sign some paperwork for the offer and of it went. Not we wait for a counter off and see what to do then. DJ called and Gabby was not doing well today. It was decided that it was time for her to be put down and she was going down hill fast. I spent the rest of the day doing laundry and Beth picked up sticks out of the yard. DJ dropped of Payton around 5pm as they did not want him to go with them to the vet. Dawn and Rylee got here around 5:30pm and we had dinner. We then watched the new Tinkerbelle movie Pirate Fairy. It was really cute and we all liked it. Dawn and Rylee left around 7:45pm. DJ and Maggie came to get Payton around 8pm. They told him what happened to Gabby and he was sad and cried. So Gabby is in a better plays having fun with all the other dogs and not in pain anymore.

Doctor's appointment

We got up around 8am this morning. We took showers and had breakfast. Liz came by around 10am to get the extra blender we had. I had to leave and got the knee doctor. He took x-ray and I got a cortisone shot to see if that helps. I have to go back in 2 weeks if it is not any better and 6 weeks if it is. So I came home and we talked about the other condo we are interested in. I needs work and if we came get it for a good price, we can add out own touches to it. So we went to Lowe's to try and price out some stuff. We have a good ballpark guess of the remodel, so our offer will go in tomorrow. Any waiting game.

No go...

We were up around 8am this morning. We finally got a counter offer on the condo. After going back and forth, we could not come together on a price. So we will still look at other options, but for not we will not be getting the condo. DJ came over today and told us the Gabby was not doing very good. She had stopped eating and was pooping all over everything. She had been to the vet a couple of time and they were changing her meds. After she left, we had lunch and then went to Best Buy. We stopped by DJ's house to see Gabby and then came home. It was kinda a nice day out and we need to do some yard work. I have an appointment to see the knee doctor tomorrow, so we will see what he says.

Home...

We left Sunday morning and headed home. We made it to Petersburg and got a hotel for the night. We were able to make an offer on a 3bed/2 bath condo on 1/2 a block to the beach. We arrived home around 3pm and were really tired. It rained on us all the way home and the traffic was not bad, but the rain made people drive like stupid people. We are waiting to hear about our offer, but expect to get a counter offer. So the process of back and forth begins, but I hope we come out on top.

Condo searching....

I got up around 7:15am this morning. I guess I was excited about looking at condos today. We started around 10:30am and finished around 5pm. We saw about 8 places and boy were we surprised at some of them. One place that will stay with us was a real dump and I am not kidding. The only thing you could do with it was to gut every room and start over. It did have a lot of space and was right on the beach. But for $325,000, it would have to come down ALOT for us to even consider it. We drive and saw a lot of the neighborhoods and downtown Fort Lauderdale. We have 2 that very high on list right now and are move in ready. We are hoping to see 5 more tomorrow. It was a long day, but very productive.

Search areas...

We got up around 7am and had showers. we ate breakfast while looking at several more listings. we headed out around 9am for our first stop. We stopped at Singer Island. The areas before the bridge was not the best, but over the bridge was good, There were no shops of any kind and we both did not feel comfortable in the area. So we headed and stopped at Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, and Pompano Beach. We loved all three of the areas. We finally made it to the hotel around 4pm. We were upgraded free to a suite and it is nice. We had dinner at Longhorn as Beth wanted steak. After dinner, we drove around a little and really like the area. We are suppose to look at 15 places tomorrow, so it should be fun. The weather is really great with temperatures in the middle 80's and sunny.

Made it to florida...

We were up at 7 am this morning. We took showers and had breakfast. Breakfast was not that great, but it held us until we stopped for lunch at Cracker barrel. Traffic was not bad and the outside temperature gauge read 90 most of the way here. We it to the hotel around 7pm and checked in. we had dinner at IHOP and then went back to the room and went over listing. We did not find any more to look at, so we are still at 20. We will take our time driving tomorrow and look at some of the area we have pegged and then check in to the hotel tomorrow night.
