Hurting Hip...

I had a migraine when I went to bed last night, so I took the Excedrin for migraines. Of course it is great for the headache and it was gone in 15 minutes, but the caffeine in it lasted until 3am this morning, so it was a short night. I was up at 8am, showered and out the door to pick up Kyle by 8:45am. He had to weed whack the whole yard and do some weeding in the beds by the house. He finished up around 11:15am and took a shower. He had an appointment at Wal-mart to have is eyes checked for his contact. Beth found a helium tank and come neon balloons that she thought would be great for the carnival on Saturday. We dropped Kyle off at his house and then went to five below for some hula hoops. Then it was on the get some lunch. I hip was really starting to hurt by now. Not sure what is wrong with it, but will have it looked at tomorrow. We had to go to the mall as Beth needed to mail some letters and I needed to look for some weighted ducks, which we did not find. So it was off to Exton to Party City. They did not have any in stock, so it was on to plan B. We went to Toy-R-us to get some plastic balls instead. It was around 4pm when we got home. I laid down on the bed to see if my hip would stop hurting, but it did not help. Beth was not feeling good, so we spent the rest of the evening watching TV. The Phillies traded 2 of their players today and now they are playing people to see what they have for next year, so it looks like we will be at the bottom of the league this year.

First of many...

We were up at 7:30am this morning and seeing Dr. Bill at 9am. After our adjustments, I dropped Beth off at Kim and Lynne's house to pick up the caddy. We came home and had some breakfast and left to go to her parent's house. We stopped along the way to get a St. Joseph statue to plant at the house. It is suppose to bring good luck in selling a house, so we will see. we had to pick up our table and being it home for this week-end. after we left there, we had to stop at the pool store and pick up some chemicals, then we stopped to get gas. Our last stop was at Wal-mart. I sure this will be the first of many shopping trips this week getting ready for the carnival. I put two small pork tenderloins on the get it and forget for dinner. We did have a bout a 10 minute rain cloud go over, so it should have help the grass.

Pool cleaning...

Beth was up and out the door to church by 8am this morning. I tried to sleep late, but it just was not happening. Finished my shower just as Beth got home. We had breakfast and went outside. Beth cut the back yard and I cleaned the pool. With the last the last couple of nights, there was so much leaves and pine needles all over the solar cover. So I rolled up the cover, hosing it off as I went along and the scooped what I could off the top of the pool. The sweeper's bag was full, so I emptied it and off it went cleaning the rest of the stuff off the bottom. When Beth finished cutting the yard, we put the cover back on to hold heat. Beth then cleaned all the holly leaves from under the tree, so they could go out to the trash man tomorrow. We came in side and had some lunch, before Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came over. We tried out the new hotdog cooker, so we would know how long to cook the hotdogs this week. After they left, we took all the trash out and are now watching the Olympics.

Race day...

I got up around 8am this morning. Beth slept in until 9:15am. I made scrambled eggs with hash browns and ham in them. Beth took a shower and went to Lowe's. I took my shower and started laundry. We left around noon to go to the rack and watch the boys. We are helping Kyle with the purchase of his racing car. I made the full purchase and Kyle will be paying us back for it. I sat down and made a plan and thinks he can have it paid off by the end of next summer. It was a hot and muggy day. We watched the warm-up and the first of their races. we then left and came home. They both finished second in their race and both got trophies. Beth cut the front yard today, as it was mostly the weeds that were growing, but it needed to be cut. I fixed Beth a steak for dinner and we had corn on the cob. I hugh storm had rolled in with heavy winds and we are hoping some rain comes with it.

Another day of scrapbooking...

I got up around 8:30am this morning and Beth was up around 9am. We had leftover cold pizza for breakfast and I took a shower. After my shower, I went downstairs to work on Rylee's book some more. Around 12:30pm I came up and fixed chicken and pork chops on the grill. They had been in the fridge for a couple of days and needed to be fixed and lunch seemed like a good idea. After lunch, it was back downstairs. Beth came down a couple of times to see what I had done and to just chat. I finished for the day around 5:30pm and we had dinner. Beth is now watching the Phillies lose and also watch the Olympias on TV. 

Scrapbook and Rylee...

We got up around 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. I went downstairs again to work on scrapbooking stuff. Beth washed Buster's bedding since he was going to the groomers at 4pm. We had lunch around 1pm and I was back downstairs. Beth vacuumed the floors since Buster was downstairs with me. We came upstairs around 3:30pm and we both left in opposite directions. I went to pick up Rylee and Beth took Buster to the groomers. We had backed Zita for dinner. Dawn came by around 5:30pm and had dinner with us. I gave Rylee a bath just as the rain and winds picked up. we had bad thunder and lightening. Dawn and Rylee left as the rain slowed to a sprinkle. So the temperature cooled off with the rain and we are still getting rain which is good.

Race Day for both boys...

We got up around 9am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. Beth had to go see about getting a new CPAC mask. I ran to Lowe's to get weed killer for the yard. I could not use it if it was going to be 90 degrees or higher, if it was going to rain with in 24 hours, or we would cut the yard with in a day or two. All of those applied to us so will have to wait to use it. Beth and I got home about the same time. I went downstairs to scrapbook and she watched the Phillies game. She did make us sandwiches for lunch with was appreciated. The Phillies pulled another win in the 9th inning making it 3 in a row they won with their last at bat. We headed to the race track to watch Payton and Kyle race. Payton started third in his race and had some steering issues and came in third. He thought he was in first place and cried when he found out he was in third. He was fighting the steering of his car the whole way, but will do better with the changes made. Kyle was up next. He started in forth place and quickly moved into 3rd. He was able to get to second with 6 laps left and came with in 2 feet of winning. But second place was really good for his first race. So both boys did well. Payton is in the #3 car and Kyle is in the #4 car.

Running all day...

We got up around 9am this morning. We had bagels and took showers. DJ and Kyle came over and we took their change to our bank to cash in. We then had to go the doctor's office and get Beth's CPAC script for a new mask. Then it was on to AC Moore for a few stickers for scrapbook projects. Then it was on to the rental place. We rented the equipment we needed for the carnival and then got the propane tanks filled. We came straight home and unloaded the tanks. We then went to Jack's Wayback Burgers for lunch. It was then on to Staples, GNC, and Bed Bath and Beyond. We then went to Costco for a few things and then it was finally home. It was time for a little nap and then talk about what was for dinner. I had chops and chicken thawed out, but the tanks were not hooked up to the grill. So we had leftover fried chicken and chicken salad. After dinner, I went downstairs to work on scrapbooking stuff and Beth watched the game upstairs. The Phillies won another come from behind game and now they have 3 in a row. We are going to watch Payton and Kyle race tomorrow. Kyle has now joined the racing team in the Sr. Novice and Payton will be in the Jr Novice. It should be interesting.

Phillies win

We slept until 9am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. I had to go to the grocery store and get a few things. I heard the penalties the Penn State program received and was disgusted about them. The NCAA needs to step back and think about about what they did and call it setting an example of taking the chicken shit way out. But enough said. I made chicken salad for lunch and Beth had fried chicken. I then went downstairs to work on Rylee's scrapbook. We had leftovers for dinner and then it was back downstairs. Beth came down to watch the Phillies game and they pulled it out in the 9th inning. Good win for them. Tomorrow is a run day as we have several errands to do and they are all in the same direction. We got a little bit of rain which is good, but it is very humid now and the temp will be rising in the mid 90's all week.

Ribs for dinner...

I had a good night's sleep and did not get up until 9am. I put some biscuits in the over and Beth got up. We had breakfast and took showers. I went downstairs to work on some scrapbook stuff. DJ came over around 4pm and visited. We had ribs for dinner and they were so good. We have a few leftover for tomorrow.

Dinner with the twins...

I slept a little better last night, but still got up at 7am. Beth got up about an hour later. I started laundry and we had breakfast. Jess came over to talk to Beth around 10am. I cleaned both bathrooms and our bedroom and they needed it. We had lunch and I really did not do much except laundry the rest of the afternoon. We left around 4pm to go over to Dawn and Jo's house for dinner. They had the boys this week-end and had a few people over for a cook out. We had a great time and it was good to see everyone. We came home around 8:30pm and are ready for bed. I feel a little better today, but still in a little funk. Sure hope it goes away soon.

Not a good day...

I have not slept well the last 2 night and last not was even worse. So when I got out of bed, I had a headache, was light headed, and in a bad mood over all. I had some breakfast, took a shower and began coating the rest of the cake pops. I went downstairs to get the cake pops out of the freezer and hit the bottom of my lock and lock on the chair and cracked the bottom. Just great. So I came upstairs and started coating the pops. I got the first set done and was washing the plastic tongs and the side broke off. Just great again. This day was just getting better and better. So I finished the pops and cleaned everything up. I had some lunch in hope it would help my head, but it did not. It was a chilly, rainy, gloomy kind of day. Jo had text to tell us they would not be over to go swimming, but invited us to come over and hang out with them. I tried taking a nap, but that was not happening either. So Beth let Dawn know we would not be over this evening. We had leftover for dinner and are now watching the Phillies. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Coating the pops...

We got up around 8am this morning. we had breakfast and took showers. We out to the party rental place. We wanted to price a funnel cake fryer, a hotdog roller, and snow cone machine. We found we need to have a weeks notice so they could get them in from the other store and the prices were about what we thought. So we left there and went to Reading the restaurant store and the farmer's market. we priced a few thing for the carnival and then got ribs at the farmer's market. We then went to Chipole's  and got lunch and then came home. I began coating the cake pops and Beth went to get a hair cut. I got the bubble gum, grape, and banana ones done and have 3 flavors to do tomorrow. I went to pick up Rylee from school. She was in a mood today and not liking anything. We had roasted chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and carrots. Dawn came by around 5pm to eat with us. Rylee was having no part of eating dinner. We played a little bit after dinner, but Rylee was so tired and they left to go home. I cleaned the kitchen and was ready for a rest. It only got to 82 today and the high tomorrow is only going to be 73 and rainy.

Rain did not last long...

We both got up around 9am this morning. We were just sitting down to breakfast when Dawn called and asked if she could come over. We said sure and she hung up. Of course you mind races with what could be wrong, is someone hurt, and every other bad thing. So I took a quick shower and Beth just got dressed. So when Dawn got here, she was just upset with alot of crap going on at work and just needed to get away. So we talked and then went to lunch at TGI Fridays. We stopped at Pier 1 and did a little shopping and then came home. I made some cake pops and then froze them. I will dip them in candy melts tomorrow and use some favoring with them. I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things tomorrow. Dawn and Beth were trying to find Dawn's relatives on ancestry.com. I went and picked up Rylee from school before the rain hit. I got her all strapped in her car seat and the first drops hit. We hit some big drops on the way home, but made it in the house before it cut lose. Dawn and Rylee left around pm and I made dinner. I made BLTs and they tasted so good. The rain did not last long and we only got a 1/4 of a inch. Not much to get excited about.

Rain on the way...

I got up around 7:45am this morning. Beth watched all of the Phillies game , so she did not come to bed until late and was still sleeping. I took a shower around 9:30am and went downstairs to work on scrapbooking. Beth got up around 10:15am and had her breakfast. I came upstairs around 12:30pm to make us lunch. After lunch, I went back downstairs to work some more. I called it a day around 5pm and got dinner started. we had London broil on the grill and used up all the propane. So time to get a refill. After dinner, I watered the flowers and then we went for a swim. The water was very warm and felt good. we are under a heat wave and are expected to get heavy thunderstorms tomorrow around 4pm. So it looks like rain is on the way for the next several days.

Adjustments...

We had to get up at 7:30am as we were seeing Dr. Bill at 9am. Neither one of us wanted to roll out of bed and take the first shower, but I finally did. Since it was our anniversary, we got T-shits and candy bars from Dr. Bill. We came home and had some breakfast. I went down to work on scrapbook stuff and Beth, well I am not sure what she did. She was kinda in a funk all day. We had some lunch and I left to get a cut and color. After my hair appointment, I had to go get gas and had a 50 cent a gallon off coupon. I came home and played POGO for awhile. We had pork chops on the grill and salad for dinner. The Phillies are in LA the next 3 games, so it will be a 10pm start for us. I will not be watching any of the games, but I am sure Beth will. We had a inch of rain last night, but I think the ground was too hard for it to really do any good. The temperatures will be in the upper 90's the next 3 days. Oh yea.

Scrapbook Clean Up...

Beth and I got up around 9am this morning. Beth took a shower and headed to church. I took a shower and cleaned the kitchen. Beth came home and we had lunch. I went downstairs and began cleaning the scrapbook area. it needed to be reorganized from top to bottom. Beth went to Staples and got me some different label maker tape. By 5pm I had everything all organized and ready to go. Beth played on the Wii and downloaded some new games. I make Bar-b-que chicken for dinner and it was really good. A really good rain storm rolled in and dropped an inch of rain which we really needed.

Clean up...

I got up around 8am this morning. I started putting all the toys back in the toy closet and cleaning up the house. I put some cinnamon rolls in the oven around 9:45am. Beth got up about 10 minutes later. I put a load of laundry in and we had breakfast. I took a shower and went downstairs. I needed to put away all the new scrapbook stuff I got at the expo and the whole area needed to be reorganized. Beth cleaned all the floors and even folded the laundry and put it away. Dawn and Jo came over around 4:45pm. We  cooked steaks and had buttered noodles. Yum Yum We then went downstairs to play. Jo's parents were in the area, so they stopped by to see Rylee swim. So we changed into our suits and went swimming. The water temp was down to 88 degrees and was a little chill, but Rylee did not care. She is such a water baby and could stay in there all night. Jo's parents left around 8pm and Dawn and Jo's left around 8:45pm. It was a great night.

Vacation over...

I was up at 6:30am this morning. I took a shower, dressed, and went to the office. Payton had just gotten up and came into the office also. I got Beth up and left around 7am. I headed to oaks for the scrapbook expo. I got my wristband and noticed that the number of booths were about a 1/3 of the last expo. We started lining up around 8:30am and were let in at 9am. There were several booths I wanted to go to first and then hit the other ones. I finished up around 11:30am and then headed to BJ's wholesale club. Beth and Payton were at Build-a-bear and were having ice cream for lunch. I finished shopping and had some lunch and came home. Beth and Payton were eating pizza and then Payton took a nap. Beth also took one. Payton got up around 3:45pm and we went downstairs to play. Beth came down about 45 minutes later. I fixed hotdogs with mac and cheese for dinner. Beth and Payton gathered his stuff and put it in the car. We had dinner and then took Payton home. It was nice having him, but enjoy the peace and quite. I learned several things this week:

1. Boys are different thans girl when playing.
2. American cheese must be white not yellow.
3. A 5 cent piece of plastic it the best present a kid cane get.
4. Buttered noodles are not the same in every household.
5. Naps are very important and needed.
6. A hug will make everything better.
7. Swimming at night is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
8. Kid never eat the outside edges of a pop tart.
9. Kids will come clean about something if you threaten to call mom and ask her.
10. Spending time with a kid is priceless.

Speech Day...

I got up around 8am this morning. Payton meet me at the door and hwd been up awhile according to him. Payton had pop tarts and I had cereal. Beth got up around 9am and took her shower and then had breakfast. Payton had a speech appointment at 10:30am. Beth waited in the car and called her brother Frank. Payon saw his teacher and sat at the little table. I sat to the side and watched her work with Payton and another boy. it was very informative and I have a better understanding of how to work with Payton on his S words. We left there and came home. We had lunch and Payton and Beth went down for naps. Jo called and said we did not need to pick up Rylee as Dawn was. They forund out she had the start of a Staph infection and needed to get come meds. What a bummer. Beth and Payton got up around 3:15pm. We ordered pizza for dinner and went to play in the pool. Around 7:30pm, I gave Payton a bath and got him ready for bed. I have a big day tomorrow and will be attending the Scrapbooking convention and Beth and Payton will be on their own.

Payton wins again...

I got up around 7:45am this morning. Payton was already up. He said he woke up and it was orange outside, so I am guessing the sun was just coming up. Beth got up about 20 minutes later. I made mini cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  We took showers and headed out the door to pick up Jojo. We headed to to movie theater to see Brave. We ate hotdogs before the movie and then Beth and the kids shared a large tub of popcorn. The movie was good and the kids enjoyed it. We then took Jojo home and came home. Payton went down for a nap since it was race day. I took a little one in the chair and Beth could not got to asleep. Payton got up around 3:30pm. We got him dressed and headed for the track. We stopped and got McDonald's for dinner and ate at the track. Payton and the rest of the drivers had warm up laps. Payton was into the second lap and his car lost power and stopped. Come to find out they had worked on the car and forgot to change over the gas and he was running on the reserve. So he was in the second race and started in 3rd. At the green flag he took off and grabbed the lead and never let go. He took the checkered flag and was happy as a lark. He got another first place trophy.   We came home and went right into the pool. Payton loved having the lights on the pool at night. we swam for about an hour and he was in bed by 9:30pm and we not far behind him. 

Jungle Wonder...

Beth and Payton got up around 7am this morning. I got to sleep until 8am. They had already had breakfast when I got up, so I ate alone. Beth took a shower and headed out to pick up Dawn. They had a funeral to go to. Payton and I went to Jungle world. It is an indoor arcade type place. We say 2 buses out front and knew it would be crowed inside. We got some tokens and played some games. We played air hockey and he had a great time. we traded in our tickets and he got 3 little plastic sea creatures and a little UFO thing. He was happy as could be. We then played mini golf and then headed out. We stopped by Wal-mart for a couple of things and then came home. Beth text around 1pm and we meet her and Dawn for lunch. Payton had about a 15 minute nap on the way and start awake on the way home. We went swimming for about an hour and then had dinner. Payton barely made it through dinner as he was so tired. He went to bed at 7pm with no fuss and no TV on. So we will see how long he sleeps tomorrow. Tomorrow is movie day and racing.

Zoo day...

Payton and I were up at 6:45am this morning and Aunt Beth did not get up until 8:15am. we had breakfast and took showers. We left for the zoo around 9:45am. We had to park in the back lot, but it was much better than were we usually park. We started off with a camel ride, which he loved. Then we made our way around to the different animals. We stopped around noon to have the lunch we took with us and then were on our way again. He was so happy when we hit the reptile house.  Aunt Beth was having no part of that and waited outside for us. We made out way to the back of the zoo and stopped to have ice cream before we left. Payton was in the car 5 minutes and was out like a light. We stopped at the store on the way home and he woke up long enough to get a drink and back asleep. We got home and he laid on his bed for about 20 minutes and then was up. We worked on his word for speech and he got a couple of prized for completing them. We had a little issue with him eating his dinner and he decided he was done and would not be going swimming. So we we colored until it was time to go to bed. It was a great day and he had fun.

Start of Payton's vacation...

I got up around 8am this morning and Beth was up about an hour later. We had some breakfast and showers. I went to the grocery store and Beth went to 10:30am mass. I wanted to get some chicken for lunch, but they were not going to have it out until noon and I did not wait for 30 minutes. So I left the grocery store and decided to go the the little Giant by us. They had their chicken out and I got a couple of pieces and some salad. Beth did all the laundry this week and I appreciated it. She had the last load in when I got home. We had some chicken and salad for lunch. We watched the Phillies lose another game and fall farther behind. I have a feeling their season is over and it is up to them what they make of it. Beth went over to pick up Payton while I got dinner going. I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans for dinner. Payton is staying with us this week and having a week of vacation. He is a little upset that he only gets 5 days of vacation and his brothers gets 10, but he likes being here. So we had dinner and then went swimming for awhile. The plan was to wear him out before bed. We put him done around 8:15pm and gave him a dvd to watch before going to bed. It is now 9:15pm and we have not hear a thing from him. I will check on him before we go to bed and move the dvd player to the night stand. We are going to the zoo tomorrow the weather looks pretty good for it.

Finally Rain...

I got up around 8am this morning. Beth did not sleep well last night and was still sleeping. I took a shower and went to Lowe's and Micheal's. Beth was still sleeping, so I garbed a ham sandwich and went downstairs. Beth got up about an half hour later. I came upstairs around 12:30 and we had some lunch. It was hot side, but clouds were rolling in. I went downstairs to work on more scrapbooking, until tile to make dinner I grilled pork chops on the grill and we had salad. After dinner, the thunder and lighting started. The wind picked up and the rain began. Buster was having a fit, so he and I went downstairs. The rain only lasted about 30 minutes, but it was nice for the grass and flowers. 

Scrapbooking all day...

I got up around 7:30am this morning. I went out to water, fed Buster, and played on the computer until Beth got up. I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I took a shower and and then went downstairs. I worked on scrapbooking stuff all day. I had to come upstairs a couple of times, but did not stay long. We had chicken Cesar salad for dinner and then went swimming. The water was nice and warm. I wanted to get a couple loads of laundry done, so we would not have to have the dryer going with the temperature 103 degrees. So the next couple of day we will not be out much as the temperature will be 100 plus.  

Egg frying hot...

I got up around 8am and Beth was up around 9am. we had breakfast and took showers. Beth had to go pick up Jojo from gymastic. We had left over hamburgers and pasta salad for lunch. Then we went downstairs to play Wii. Kim came by to pick up Jojo around 2pm. I left around 2:30pm to go see Dr, Bill. I had a rib out of place and it was killing me. I was hoping it would get better, but never did. After my adjustment, I went to the grocery store and came home. I then went to go pick up Rylee and Beth made dinner. Dawn came by around 4:30pm and we had dinner and then visited for awhile. It was so hot and humid today. I call it egg frying hot as you could cook an egg on the sidewalk. It was even to hot to swim.

Happy July 4th...

We were up around 8am this morning. I took a shower and we had some breakfast. We took Buster to DJ and Maggie's house as he was spending the day with Gabby. It is better for him as he would have to spend the day in the office. He does not do well with alot of people in the pool anymore and gets a little agressive. We then came home and Beth cleaned the white lounge chairs and I did some last minute things in the house. We changed into our swimsuits and the guest started arriving around 1pm. we had a great time in the pool and it was a great day out. I started the grill and fixed hotdogs, chicken, burgers, and brats. Everyone one brough a side dish and we had a great dinner. Everyone was gone around 7pm and I was so ready for bed, but it was too early. So Happy July 4th to everyone.

Party prep day...

We were up around 8am this morning. I took a shower and went to pick up Kyle. I dropped him off at the house and then went to Target and the grocery store. I was back home around 11am. Kyle finished up the mowing and said he did not feel well, so I took him home. I came home and we had lunch and Beth went back out to finish the mowing and I did the floors downstairs. I then came up and pulled weeds in the flower bed and they were getting out of control. I took the hotdogs and chicken out of the freezer and took the stuff I got at the store downstairs. I stocked the fridge with soda and cooks dinner. we went to the pool store to test the pool water. It was pretty good and only needed one thing, but I can't remember what is was. So we went to Beth's parents hose to get the hose reel they had for our extra hose and found it already had a hose in it. So we came home and talked about the few things we need to do tomorrow. It appears the rain should hit over night and will be sunny for the party. We will see it that happens.

Kutztown day...

We were up at 7am this morning. We went to see Dr. Bill at 9am and then on to Kutztown to the festival. It was starting to get hot and the sun was shining bright. We first went and ordered the pictures frames we needed as we knew it would take awhile to have 4 of them made. After that, we went and got a blooming potato and a lemonade. Then we walked around and looked at all the different stands. we purchased a few things and dropped them off at the car and headed back in for round 2. Beth had a couple of hot dogs  and a beer for lunch and I had a corn dog and more lemonade. We picked up our picture frames and headed out to the car. The temperature was up to 91 degrees and with the sun beating on you , it was really hot. We stopped by Echo Hill on the way home to get mini mashmellows and a few other things. We made it home a little after 2:15pm. We both ended up taking a little nap. We had soup and salad for dinner as both of us were not that hungry. Tomorrow will be a busy day as we get ready for the July 4th party. I will pick up Kyle at 9am and have him cut the grass and clean the downstairs floors.

Tired today...

Beth set her alarm for 7am, but never made it up until 8:30am. I got up and took a shower and then went to the grocery store. I think everyone waited to go shopping the same time I did as the store was packed. I got a few things and will be back later in the week. Beth went to 10am mass, went to Kim's water and turn their air on, and then to the bank. We had some lunch and then the Rhotinis came over around 1pm to swim. We water was great and we had a good time. We are going to the Kutztown festival tomorrow morning after we see Dr. Bill. We are going to be in the mid 90's all week, so I see alot of swimming in our future.
