Beth can't hang...
We got up early this morning and headed to KOP. We were going to go to the the vendor part of the scrap booking convention. Beth was a little over whelmed when she first walked in. It was the same feeling I had the first time I saw all the cool stuff. We walked around and made some more purchases. About and hour 1/2 into shopping, Beth's back was starting to hurt. We only had one row left and I knew there was not much there. So we headed out to the car. Beth admitted she could not hang with the big scrappers. We went to Olive Garden for lunch. We both had the soup, salad, and bread sticks. During lunch, Beth got a call from her brother saying that her mom was being released from the hospital. So we finished lunch and Beth dropped me off at home and headed to go get her dad. I started laundry and took a short nap. After my nap, I collected all the scrap booking stuff and took it to my scrap book area. I realized that I needed to majorly reorganize all my stuff. So I started working on that and Beth came home around 4pm. She too took a short nap. We had dinner and watched the Phillies blow another game. If we even make the playoffs this year, it will be a miracle. No picture today.

Another day of Scrapbooking...
I got up 6:30am this morning. I was told I should leave at 7am to get to KOP before 8:30am class. So Beth was in charge of watering and I left at 7:15am. Well I did not run into any traffic and was there at 7:40am. So I wondered around for a little while and then headed to class. We had 3 projects, but only got to 2 of them and only a little on each. I then headed to the vendor area. I was able to make my way up and down each row and make all my purchases. I only had to make 2 trips to the truck to drop off purchases. I finally left around noon. Beth went to get her hair cut and up to see her mom. They may release her tomorrow or Sunday which is good news. Today's picture is of the unfinished church in Bermuda. It is a church that was started in 1874 and due to many disagreements it was never finished.

Scrapbooking Convention.
I had to get up at 7:30am this morning. I went out to water and Beth took a shower. I came in and took a shower and we had breakfast. We both left around 9:30am. I followed Beth to Oaks as she was taking the Jetta back to the dealership. It is still smoking and missing. So who knows what they fixed, but it was not right. Then I continued on to KOP. Creating Keepsakes was hosting a Scrap booking convention. I signed up to participate in 2 classes today and one tomorrow. Both classes today dealt with Disney stuff. It is amazing how fast an hour goes when you are working on a project. I did not finish either project, but we were not suppose to. Between classes I went to the vendor area and did some shopping. I was like a kid in a candy store. They had so many different things, it was hard to take it all in. So I started on the left side and made it down 2 rows before I had to go to class. Good thing I have all day tomorrow to look. My class tomorrow is at 8:30am, so I will be done by 9:30am. I saw a lot of things I want to go back and check out tomorrow. Beth's mom is doing a lot better. They took her off of the oxygen and she is walking more. She may even get to come home this week-end. Good news. Beth made cheese steaks for dinner tonight and boy were they good. This picture was taken in St. George, we don't know the guy on the right.

Grass cutting duty..
we were up early this morning as Beth wanted to go see her mom. I fixed Beth breakfast and then I headed out to water. It was a nice morning and cloudy. Beth left and I decide to cut the grass in the back yard. Beth had not had time with all the time she has spent with her parents. I picked up all the dog poop and then tried to weed whack. It was not good. I gave up on it and began cutting the grass. I have a hard time cutting the yard on the back side of the pool as I am not able to keep the mower from running into the fence. But it got done and we don't have to worry about it for another week. I took a shower and had some lunch. I then cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed the floors. Beth came home around 2:30pm. Her mom is doing a little better which is good news. I am taking some scrapbooking classes the next couple of days. I am looking forward to it and the shopping to see what the vendors have for sale. We have to take the car back in again tomorrow. It is still smoking and cutting out. I can't really see that they did anything to make it better. Another picture taken at the Philly zoo.

Another day of not much...
We were both up around 8am this morning. I went out to water and Beth took a shower. She wanted to head up to see her dad and do some stuff up there in the morning. After watering, I had to re stake a couple of the tomato plants. I then did some trimming of the weeds around the pool. I came inside and had breakfast and took a shower. I then headed to the grocery store. I had some tomatoes that needed to be used, so I cut them up with some baby cukes and mini mozzarella balls. I added an balsamic vinaigrette dressing and let them sit in the fridge. Beth called around 2pm and was on her way home. She would have come lunch and we then went down to pick up the car. We then went to BJ's for a few items and Beth headed home as I wanted to stop at AC Moore on the way home. The car is still smoking and Beth said it still seemed to be cutting out. So who knows if it was fixed or not. She is going to call them tomorrow and talk to them about it. We had rotisserie chicken and the vegetables for dinner. It was sure good. I have to clean house tomorrow as I will be gone most of Thursday and Friday taking scrap booking classes. I am so looking forward to them and seeing the vendors there. We found out today that Beth's mom has lung cancer. So please keep her in your prayers. today's picture was taken at the Philly zoo. Oh and the Phillies took game 1 against the DiamondBacks, and gained a game on the Braves with their loss tonight!

A busy day of not much...
After a good night sleep, we were up at 7:30am. We had showers and were off to see Dr. Bill for adjustments. After adjustments, we headed over to watch Rylee while Dawn went to pick up Sydney, the dog. We were afraid Syd and Rylee would talk and Syd would find out he got the shorted end of the deal in places to stay this week-end. Kinda like a 5 star compared to a no star hotel. We left Dawn's place and headed home. Beth had to go pick up her dad and then head to the hospital to see her mom. I went to the mall and then came home. Beth came home around 5pm and began cutting the grass. I fixed steak and potatoes with onions in foil on the grill for dinner. After dinner, we went to Lowe's for a new handle for the back screen door. So it was a busy day, but we really did nothing.

Bye Bye Baby...
Last night was a rough night for all three of us. Beth put Rylee down at 8:30 with no problems. We went to bed around 11pm and Rylee had us back up at midnight. I fixed her a bottle and Beth was able to get her back to sleep but for only 45 minutes. She woke up screaming and there was nothing we could do to calm her down. We walked her, sang to her, gave her more milk, and rocked her, but nothing worked. She was so upset that she began throwing up milk. She would calm down a little then just scream again. After about 2 1/2 hours of this, we finally gave she some infant Tylenol. I had notice her pulling at her ear several times and she was a little snotty. Well that seemed to do the trick. She was out in about 20 minutes. Beth just took her to our bed and had her lay on her for awhile. I was not able to go back to sleep, so I just watched TV in the living room. I think I finally fell asleep around 7am, but Beth's dad called at 8:00am. Rylee finally woke up around 8:15am. She was in a much better mood. I went outside to water and when I came in Beth was feeding her breakfast. I took a shower and then Beth and I had breakfast. We were all three pretty tired the rest of the day. We did go shopping for a little bit at Target. Rylee fell asleep on the way home and sleep about an hour. Rylee had lunch and around 2pm she fell asleep again. We talked to Dawn and Jo and they feel she might have caught a bug last week being around so many people or it could be more teething. They made it to our house around 6pm. They took first place in the state tournament and now will play in the nationals the end of August. Beth's mom had a rough night last night and did not want to see anyone today. We are hoping to get the car back in the next couple of day from the shop. If it is not one thing it is another. It is now 9pm and I am headed to bed and will have no problems sleeping tonight. We have to be up at 7am as we have to see Dr. Bill at 9am. Ten hours should be enough time to catch up on sleep. We would watch her in a heart beat again when asked. Today's picture is of Rylee on the rocking blue dog. She love it and can make it rock herself.

Rylee's first fry...
We did pretty well last night. We were both awake off and on most of the night. Rylee slept like a baby. She was up at 7:30am this morning. I went out to water and Beth spent some time playing. Beth was feeding her breakfast when I came in. I made Beth and I breakfast and Rylee played in the exersauser. We took her downstairs to play with the toys down there but she was starting to get fuss and tired. Rylee fell asleep around 11am for a one hour power nap. Beth was leaving to go see her mom around 1pm, so I made us lunch. After she left, Rylee and I played until 1:30. I feed her lunch and she was so ready for a nap. We both took a 2 hour nap in the chair watching women's softball. It was back to playing and I did manage to get in 3 loads of laundry. They still need to be folded, but that can wait until tomorrow. Beth was going to pick up dinner on her way home, but Rylee could not wait. She finished her dinner and had a bottle on top of it. So when Beth got home, Rylee sat in her chair and had her first french fries. She did very well in sucking on it and taking little bites as you can see in today's picture. She went to sleep a lot better tonight. I think she is getting used to sleeping here and was really tired. Beth said her mom looked better today than she did yesterday. We are all hoping she is on the right track to getting better. It was so hot here today, that I dare not take Rylee to the pool. We are hoping for better weather tomorrow for a big swim tomorrow.

Rylee arrived...
Things did not start our well this morning. I went out to water and Beth took a shower. When I came back in, she said the phone had rang, but was not able to answer it. We later found out it was her mom and she was going to the hospital. Beth headed to the hospital to see what was going on. I stayed here as Rylee was coming over around noon. Dawn and Jo headed for the softball tournament and were hoping to be back early Sunday. Rylee had lunch around 2pm and seemed tired but fought sleep until 3:30pm. She slept until 5:30pm and then had dinner around 6pm. Beth came home around 7pm. They are still not sure what is wrong with Beth's mom. They seem to think it might be the cancer in her lungs that is making she sick, but they had to run some more test to be sure. So we have to play the waiting game some more. Beth gave Rylee her bottle around 8:30pm. but Rylee was having no part of going to sleep. She is so tired, but is not ready to call it a night yet. So we will see when she gives up the fight - 10:30. Today's picture is from the Philly zoo.

Pool Time..

Beth was the one up early this morning. I stayed in bed until 8:30am. I made hash browns and eggs with ham and cheese in them for breakfast. I did not bother taking a shower since I knew we would be in the pool most of the day. I took Kyle home around 11am. Beth had to leave around 11:30am to go pick up Jojo from gymnastic class. We had lunch when they got home and put on our swimsuits. We had been swimming for about 30minutes when Dawn, Jo, and Rylee arrived. Rylee had lunch first then they all joined us in the pool. It was a really hot day and the pool water was 82 degrees. Rylee just loves being in the pool. She loves to kick her feet and splash the water. She also loves to watch Buster swimming in the pool. After a couple hours of swimming, Rylee felt it was time to take a nap. So she took about a 30 minute cat nap. Dawn and Jo were getting ready to leave when Kim came to pick up Jojo. Kim and Jojo left around 6pm. I fixed BLTs for dinner. We have a lot of red tomatoes and that is one of the best things I know to have for dinner. Tomorrow we will get Rylee around 11:30am for the weekend. It will be a lot different then the last time we had her over night. We are looking forward to it. We are going to introduce her to the downstairs play area, so she will be ready when football season starts. Today's picture was taken at the Philly zoo.

Car in shop...
I got up around 8am this morning and went out to water. I only had to water the pots and tomatoes. Beth was already taking a shower when I came in. We had left over dessert pizza for breakfast. I then took as shower as Beth began working on her desk again and Kyle was watching TV. It looked like it could rain off and on all day. Dawn had called and said they would be over to swim around 1pm. We had lunch and Dawn had called to say that Rylee was still sleeping and they would be over as soon as she was awake. Kyle moved to the downstairs to play Wii. We decided to go ahead and take the car to the shop. I followed Beth and boy is the car really pouring out black smoke. We left the dealership and went to Lowe's on the way home. Dawn called again and said they would try again tomorrow morning to go swimming. I talked to my mom today about going on a cruise with us to the Panama Canal next fall. She said she would have to take to Ken and would let us know, but doubted it. I fixed the rest of the roast for dinner. I now have to go back to cooking as we are out of left overs. It will be BLTs for a couple of days as we have a lot of ripe tomatoes. My mom called back after dinner and said she could go with us depending on the price. Yea... So we have planning to do. I will be taking Kyle home in the morning and Beth will be picking up Jojo around noon. We are hoping we hear good news about the car tomorrow. Today's picture is of the baby monkey that was born in April at the Philly zoo. He is so cute.

First day of kids...
I was up at 7:30am this morning. I had to water, shower, have breakfast, and pick up Kyle by 9:30am. After picking up Kyle, we went to Target. I had to take back a couple of things and pick up a couple of things and then we came home. Beth and I got together the games we wanted to trade in at Gamestop. We headed to Gamestop around lunch time. We were able to get 88 bucks for the games we had. We could not find any new ones so we just put the money on our card for future use. We came home and had lunch. It began to rain, but again it only lasted for about 5 minutes. I took a short nap, Kyle watched a movie, and Beth worked on her desk. We ordered pizza for dinner and had another short rain shower. It is going to be this way again tomorrow with the weather and a welcome changed from the hot and sunny weather. Another picture taken while snorkling in St George.

Thunder ...
I woke up this morning to the roar of thunder. I knew we had left the lid open on the coffin and I did not want water in it. So I jumped up out of bed and headed down to the pool. I shut the coffin lid and folded up the moving blanket that was set out to dry. I headed up the hill towards the house and could hear the rustling sound in the woods behind me getting louder and louder. It was a kind of scary noise. I knew it was just the rain coming right behind me. As soon as I hit the sidewalk, the rain cut loose. I could see the lighting reflecting in the table on the deck and knew it was close, but not that close. I was so happy I did not have to water. But that was short lived. The rain lasted about 5 minutes and was only .02 of an inch. Beth slept through it all. So I had some breakfast and about that time Beth got up. I changed and went outside to water. Beth had breakfast and took a shower. She then left to go get gas in the car. We noticed last night coming home the car was cutting out a lot, but we thought it was just low on gas that might have been bad. But Beth said it was even worst after getting new gas. So it is parked in the garage and will go in Thursday for service. So now we had to get the Jeep back from Kim, so we could take it to the airport. So we had some lunch and the Jeep was back home. We left to go pick up Amanda and head to the airport. Coming home the traffic was starting to back up, but we were able to take a couple of short cuts and avoid some of it. After dinner we had to run to CVS and then stopped at the mall. Now it is time for bed. We have kids everyday for the next 6 days. Kyle is here tomorrow and Wednesday. Jojo is her 1/2 day Thursday, and Rylee will be here Friday to Sunday including nights. It should be a fun week.

Adoption Party...
We were up at 8am this morning. Jo was bringing Rylee over a little after 9am for us to watch. Today was her adoption party. We were in charge of making she sure had a normal day of eating and a nap before the party. We went swimming for about an hour and a half. I took a shower first while Beth and Rylee sat outside for a little while. Then Beth took a shower and I feed Rylee. She was just about to fall sleep when Kim and Lynne came over to get the Jeep. That was all it took and she was awake. We laid on the bed for awhile, but she wanted no part of that. So Beth made a 2oz bottle and it did not take long for her to fall asleep. She took about a 2 hour nap. We got dressed and headed to the party. It was another hot and sticky day. I hate it when the humidity is the same as the temperature. We had a nice time and there were about 100 or so people there. We started to clean up around 7:30pm. There was so much to take back home, that we ended up taking Rylee home in our car. We left around 8:15pm and took Rylee home to her house. We gave her a quick sponge bath and put her jammies on. I made her a bottle and we went up stairs for bed. She did not fight it much and was fast asleep. Dawn and Jo came home about a hour later, after everyone had left. It is time for us to take much needed showers and head to bed. Today's pictures are of Rylee relaxing before her party and of her dancing with her Uncle Bob, Dawn's brother.

Mow the grass...
We both slept in last this morning. It was 9am before we got out of bed. We had breakfast and we both headed outside. I had to water and Beth had to cut the grass. I started laundry and went back outside to pull weeds around the pool area. It was another hot and sunny day. I made sure to take Beth extra water as she was cutting. After she finished the cutting, we took a dip in the pool. Boy did it feel really good. The water level has finally gone done enough for it to go through the skimmers. We took showers and Beth went to church. We had left over roast for dinner. Beth posted the remaining Eagles tickets on Face book tonight. We have been able to get rid of all of them except 1 1/2 games. We will go to the preseason games, which is no big deal, but are glad to get rid of most of them. We are getting Rylee at 9am in the morning. It is our job to make sure she is tired and ready for a nap by 11am. She had been taking 3 hours nap and we have to have her at the party by 3pm. So we are going swimming and playing hard the whole time she is here and hoping for a really early nap time. We will see. today's picture is of little chipmunk we saw up at Hawk Mountain. We have them in the back yard and they love to dig at the roots of all the plants. They are a pain in the butt when I plant bulbs as they like to dig them up.

Roasten Rylee...
It was another morning of getting up early. The repair lady called and said she would be here a little after 8am and she was. She was only here for a little over an hour and the TV is now fixed. Beth had to leave around 10:30am to take Amanda back to the dentist. She was just going to drop her off and come home for a hour until she was ready. In the mean time, Dawn dropped off Rylee around 11:15am. She had several things to do and we talked about Jo just picking her up on her way home. That way Dawn could get more done and we could play more. Beth was able to play with Rylee when she came home. She even took today's picture which is so cute. Rylee had her lunch around 1:30pm and could barely stay awake to finish it. I made a bottle and she only had 2 oz. down before she fell asleep. I put her down in the big bed and she sleep 3 hours. Beth came home around 2:30pm and Rylee was up around 4:30pm. We played a little while, then DJ, Maggie, and Payton came over. Jo came by and picked up Rylee. We ordered dinner and then Payton, Maggie, and I went swimming. DJ and Beth went to get the food and we ate by the pool. We talked awhile and they left around 8:30pm. We have nothing planned for tomorrow, but Beth has to cut the grass with all the rain we have had.

Mail Call...
Beth had to get up at 7am this morning. She had to shower, have breakfast, load the car, and head to her mom's house by 8:30am. She had to take Amanda to the dentist. I on the other hand took my time getting out of bed, read some emails, then took a shower, and had breakfast. I had to go to the pack and ship place. I had to mail Jen back her shirt she forgot, Shelly her razor she forgot, and magazines to my mom. After that I could not find anything else to do, so I headed home. I began mopping the floors and then had lunch. Beth came home around 1:30pm. I have had a headache for the last 3 days now. Not sure what it is and Advil does not really do anything for it. So I went to take a nap and Beth joined me. we were only asleep for 20 minutes and Beth started snoring. It was great for her,she was asleep, but not for me, it kept me awake. So we both got up around 5pm and had some dinner. We then took all the magazines to the recycle center and headed to the mall. We needed a card for Rylee on Sunday. They only had 2 to choose from, so I am guessing she is going to have a lot of cards that are the same. The lady is coming tomorrow to fix the TV downstairs. You really don't miss it until you want to watch it. Dawn is bringing Rylee over tomorrow for a stay as she needs to do some shopping and we love having her. Too bad Beth has to go back to her mom's tomorrow. I will have her all to myself. Today's picture is of more fish we saw snorkeling. I could snorkel there every day all day long. we can't wait to go back.

More Rain...
The phone rang at 8:30am this morning, so no sleeping in. It was Sears wanting to reschedule the TV appointment. I was half asleep and thought it was a survey call, I told them Beth was not here. But no big deal, we could call them back. We got up and I made us breakfast. It was still raining outside, so no watered was needed. I decided that since it was a misting kind of rain that I would go pull some weeds. Beth started working on the floors. Well about 5 minutes into pulling weeds, it began to rain a little harder. So I finished up and then had to pull some red tomatoes. We have gotten about 15 so far. I think the hot weather made some of them turn before they could get big. The pool is really full and Beth will have to pump some out. It is a pain adding water one week and pumping it out the next. I finally came inside dripping wet. It was not a cold rain, so it really did not bother me. I took a shower and Beth was almost done with the floors. She took a shower and we had lunch. We then went to Lowe's. Beth needed spackle and a new cover for the electrical box outside. We looked around Lowe's since we had nothing better to do. We looked at an outside 3-person glider that they had on sale. It was really nice and the back even folds down so it is like a hammock. We are going to keep an eye on it and see it it goes down even more in price. We then came home and began cooking. Beth made a big pot of green beans, potatoes, and ham. Since Beth's mom is not feeling well and they have company, we made enough to take up to them. Beth also made a chocolate cake. I put a roast with potatoes and carrots on to also take up. It was a nice day to have the oven on and we will not have to cook for several days either. Today's picture was taken while snorkeling in Bermuda. It is of brain coral, which of course looks like a brain.

Rylee has a cold...
I was so glad to be able to sleep until 9:30am this morning. Since I did not have to water, we had breakfast and showers. My computer was not working last night. I could not get the power to come on. I think the battery in the surge protector is not working any more. I also think the noise I was hearing was the surge protector and not my computer. So we checked it this morning and changed it out with a spare we had and it is working fine. We had some lunch and headed over to watch Rylee. Rylee had a cold and was not feeling well. She was asleep when we got there, but woke up shortly after Dawn left. she was in a great mood and ready to eat. She has learned, thanks to her Aunt Beth, how to blow raspberries with food in her mouth. So of course I had on a white shirt and she was having green beans. Need less to say, I wore a dish towel while feeding her. We played on the floor, until Dawn came home. We left there and headed to Target and to Staples and then home. Beth made salads for dinner and then we had watermelon for dessert. We are hoping for more rain again tonight and are seeing lighting, but no rain yet. Beth's mom got her test results and still does not know anything except she needs more tests. Today's picture was taken in the Crystal Cave in Hamilton Bermuda.

More Rain...
We were up at 7am this morning. Well Beth was up, I was so tired I could not pull myself out of bed until 8am. We saw Dr. Bill and then headed to Target. We had to get a new blanket for the bed. The spread we have on now is so hot and using just a sheet is not enough. So we got a light weight blanket. We then went to Best Buy. There were 3 new CDs I wanted and I get points there. The last stop was the grocery store. It was only in the mid 80's but was humid. The weatherman is calling for showers, but the sky is not looking like it. I finally went out about 4pm to water and would you know it the clouds started to roll in. Just as I was about to put the chicken on the grill, tiny little rain drops began to fall. I was at least able to finish dinner before the heavy rain fell. We are in need of rain, so I am not going to complain about it. I did fix a ham in the oven and we will eat on it the next few day. Beth will make her green beans with ham soup. The rest will be used for salads and sandwiches. I am hoping to sleep in late tomorrow as I have been really tired since we came back from vacation. Dawn called today to say our princess was sick and running a fever. So we will see how she is tomorrow. We are watching her since Dawn has an interview. So if she is not feeling any better, we will go over to her house. We were unable to sell our Eagles ticket as a package deal, so we are now trying to sell them by the game. Training camp starts at the end of this month and we know for sure we will miss 2 games. We are all hoping for the best with Beth's mom's doctor appointment. We will keep her in our prayers. Beth shot today's picture while on the sailboat in St. George.

Bye Bye Hot Tub

We both had to get up early this morning for different reasons. Beth had to go to church and I had to take Gabby home. Beth left first and I had to get Gabby on the leash and to the jeep. Since she is a tank, it took all I had to hold on to her when I opened the gate. But I got her in the jeep, then on our way. I took all the stuff into DJ and Maggie's house first, then holding on again with all I had I opened the door and she went right up the stairs. I then stopped by the donut place since we did not have too much time for breakfast this morning. Jen said they would be here around 10am to get the hot tub. We had about 25 minutes to eat and were just finishing up when they got here. The first wave was the help. They took all the panels off, removed the cover, and disconnected the electrical. The second wave arrived with the trailer. After discussing how to get it off the deck and down to the trailer by the gate, the move was under way. They side it off the deck and carried it 1/2 way. There were 8 of them and the hot tub weighted 840 pounds. They rested and then moved it to the trailer. The next move was onto the trailer and then to it's final travel spot. They strapped it down and were gone all with in 2 hours. The deck sure looks big now with it gone. The cement under it is in good shape, so not much as to be done to it. It was another hot day, so we watched the Phillies win then went to the outlet mall to look for luggage. After looking in about 5 stores, I did not find anything I liked. I guess I will know it when I see it. We had dinner and came home. Tonight was trash night and we had a lot of it. We have appointments to see Dr. Bill in the morning and then on to the grocery store. Today's picture is of a fish we saw while snorkeling.

Finally Rain...
It was sure a nice site to wake up to rain. I did not have to water, so I made up pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast, I started the laundry and Beth headed up to her mom's house. Since her mom has not been feeling well and is have company tomorrow, she cleaned the house for her mom. I decided since she was gone, it would be good to clean our house. The rain continued to pour most of the day. For some reason , my weather station was not getting a signal form the rain gauge. That really sucks. But the other one said we had about 3 1/2 inches of much needed rain. I was able to get everything done and Beth will do the floors tomorrow for me. She called about 3pm and said she was on her way to Jojo and Dawn's house to return the blow up bed we used. I think she just wanted to spend time with the baby. She finally made it home around 5pm. I fixed pork chops, prorogues, and peas for dinner. We are watching the Phillie in 0-0 game in the top of the 10th. I did sign up for some scrapbook classes in the end of July. The Creative Memories group is having a 3 day workshop and there is going to be a lot of vendors and workshops. The hot tub will be leaving tomorrow around 10am. We can't wait to see how they get it loaded on the trailer and moved. Today's picture is of the swing bridge we had to wait for it to open. It opens twice an hour and as you can see the middle section swings open to allow boats to pass. It was kinda cool.

Reed Family say Good-bye
I got up around 7:15am this morning. Shelly said they would be leaving today in order to get home and rest before they went to work on Monday. I did the watering and came inside. Beth was out of bed and the Reed family was getting things together and packing. Beth, Shelly, the girls, and I went to Target around 10:30am. They needed to pick up snacks for the trip home and I needed a few things. My mom is looking for Christmas list items early this years, so Beth was playing in the electronic department and making notes of things she wanted. We finally left there and headed home. The Reed family left around noon and headed to WAWA for gas and hoagies. We will miss them and had a great time when they were here. It was quite around here the rest of the day. We were expecting rain and it looked like it could, but nothing happened. We went down to BJ's as we need to take in stuff for the troops to Dr. Bill's on Monday. It was raining cats and dogs in Philly, but we still have nothing. So we are hoping to see some rain tomorrow and then I won't have to water. This was taken when we snorkled off of St. George in Bermuda.

A Quite Day...
For some reason someone called at 7:10am this morning. Not sure who it was and the caller ID did not pick up a number. So we all got up and started the day. I began the watering outside. We have a slim chance of rain today, but nothing to get excited about. Beth began pulling the weeds from the bird sanctuary and the rest of the gang headed to NY. After the watering, I also began pulling some weeds, cutting the off shoots on the contorted fig bush, and cut the thistles. When we finished it was starting to get hot and our day was done. We took showers and had breakfast. I spent the rest of the afternoon reading and doing nothing. Beth headed to the pool store and to get gas in the car. It was a quite day of rest. We had spaghetti and I had to water again tonight. We might catch a break and the temperature will fall ton the high 80's this weekend. They are coming Sunday to get the hot tub. The deck will sure look bigger when it gone. Today's picture was taken at the Royal Dockyards in Bermuda, believe it or not people still use pay phones there.

Rest...
It was going to be another hot one today, so I got up early to do the watering. After that, we had breakfast and I took a shower. Shelly and McKenna went shopping and Beth and I did nothing. We did clean the house a little, but not much more than than. The lady came about 2:30pm to look at the TV. She said something about a PCB board, but I have no idea what that means. All I know is that it will cost $450 dollars to fix and that was well below what we had set for a needing a new one. Of course, the part had to be ordered and it will not be here until the 19th. But no matter at least it can be fixed. She said it was in great shape for as old as it was. She did say that having a non-smoker's home will help a TV last 5 time longer. I guess the smoke builds static on the TV and they don't last as long. Good to know. Steve called and said they were in their way home from DC. So we went to dinner since we figured they would be another couple of hours. We took 2 cars and after dinner Beth went to see her mom and dad. The rest of us came home and Steve was already there. They forgot to tell us they were already an hour on the road when they called. I had to water again and will have to keep it up until this hot weather breaks. The gang is going to New York tomorrow and I think Friday will be a rest day before they start home on Saturday. I have a lot of weeds to pull tomorrow, but who knows if they will come out of the ground as hard as it is. Today's picture is of a humming bird we saw when we went to Hawk mountain with Jen.

Hotter than Hot...
We got up early this morning. I had to water and we wanted to leave around 8am. Steve, Parker, and Sienna left to spend a couple of days in Washington DC. The rest of us were headed to the Kutztown Folk Festival. It was already 85 degrees at 8am, which was not a good sign. I have to water all the plants twice a day now and tomorrow is going to be hotter. We got to the festival around 9:15. I was able to find everything I wanted in the first couple of hours. We had ordered a frame for our Bermuda trip and the mat would be ready in 30 minutes. We went and had some lunch in the covered area. It was already hot and the sweat was dripping of of us. We picked up the mat and decided to call it a day. We made a quick stop at Echo Hills for some frozen cherries and a few other things. The weather just seems to zap the strength right out of you. We all took a short nap, except for Beth who went to CVS to pick up the underwater camera pictures. Beth and I had steak salad for dinner and Shelly and McKenna went and had chicken parm at the local Italian place. I had to do the watering at a slow pace tonight. We might see a drop to the lower 90's by the weekend but with rain coming the humidity will climb and it will be really nasty out. We have a guy coming to look at the TV tomorrow and are hoping for some good news. Today's picture is the bust of Ben Franklin located at his grave site in Philadelphia.

Movie Time..
Boy was it nice to sleep in our bed last night. Beth rolled out of bed around 8am and I was about 20 minutes behind her. I had to water and it was going to be another hot day. Thanks to Shelly, I only had to water the front flowers. After that I took a shower and started laundry. We were headed to the movies to see new Twilight movie. Sienna is in love with Edward and I knew Beth would never see it with me since she had not seen the first two. The lines were long to get tickets and to get popcorn, but the movie was well worth it. While we were gone, Beth called and got an appointment for someone to look at the TV and did most of the laundry. I dropped off Shelly and the girls and Beth and I went to the store and had to pickup Gabby. We are watching her while DJ and family are in KC. Her and Buster get along so well and they both could care less about Shelly's little dog. Steve and Parker went to Gettysburg today and were on their way back. We fixed fajitas for dinner, but they had already eaten. I had to water again tonight since it got up to 100 degrees today and tomorrow is going to be the same. Steve, Parker, and Sienna are heading to Washington DC tomorrow and will spend the night. The rest of us are headed to the Kutztown festival. I love the food there. Today's photo was taken on the Hex Barn tour when Jen was here. It was very colorful.

Home Sweet Home
We were up at 5:45am this morning. We finished packing and went to breakfast. We are trying to figure out how to get to the Lido deck tomorrow morning for breakfast. Guess it will be back to cereal again. We waited in our room until 7:45am and we were told we could leave. We were one of the first ones off, through customs, and headed to the car. Did I mention that we forgot to lock the car when we left. But no worries it was still there and everything was fine. It took a little while to start, but it did and we headed home. It took us about 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to the house. We both called out parents to let them know we were home and safe. We look forward to going back to Bermuda. We left around noon and headed to the store. After the store we were starving , so we made a quick stop at Wendy's. We were both still feeling the boat rock, so I laid down to see if that would help, but it did not. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee got here around 3pm. Rylee did not get her full nap and still looked sleepy. We have an adoption date of Aug 11 for the final process. We all went swimming for a while and the water was nice. It was 98 here today and will only get hotter the next few days. Dawn and Jo tried several time to get Rylee to finish her nap . but she was not having any part of it. We fired up the grill and had London broil, corn on the cob and pasta salad for dinner. It was good. Shelly had everything ready to go which was a big help, so hats off to her. Rylee finally gave in and went to sleep. She is so afraid of missing something. but is a cutie. Steve and the kids began lighting off some fireworks. Dawn and Jo headed home with Rylee still sleeping. Beth and I joined the others to light off more fireworks. It is now time for sleep in our own bed. We did not have time to down load the Bermuda pictures from the laptop, but here is another Lego animal we saw at the Philly zoo.

Bermuda - Day 7
Today was our last day at sea. We got up around 7am. We still had a lot to do today and it all started early. We showered and had breakfast in the Lido room. We had a autograph session with the players at 9:30am. After that we headed to the Showroom for the disembarkation meeting and crew show. We are doing the expedited and can leave around 7:30 in the morning. After the meeting, we headed back to the room to change and headed to lunch. Because this was our second time on a Holland America Cruise, we were having lunch with the captain. When we got there, we found it was us and about 150 other people and the captain only gave a little speech. So it was not as special as we thought, but the food was good. After lunch we finally had some time to relax. I began packing and Beth went to the casino to finish losing the money she had on credit. She was only gone about 30 minutes. I packed what I could and then went to the library to do some reading. Beth went to mass and then came to the library. I read and she took a nap. We headed to dinner around 6pm and then on to a final cocktail party at 6:30pm. It is now time to do our final packing and head to bed. We should be home around noon some time and will call both our parents to let them know we arrived safely. We have had a great time, but look forward to being home.

Bermuda - Day 6
Today was our last day in port. We were going to get up early, but when the alarm went off we both went back to sleep. We slept until 9am. We got up and took shower, but it was to last to get and breakfast. So we decided to go to the movies. We saw It’s Complicated. It was a funny movie and we are glad we saw it. We headed up to the Lido deck to get some lunch. We noticed it had been raining outside, so we made a good choice to sleep late. The boat was leaving at 1pm. It was funny to see so many people running to the boat a the last possible minute. We pulled away a little after 1pm. We had a great time and look forward to coming back again. After lunch, we went back to the room. I picked up a book and my headphones and headed to the library to read. Beth waited for the casino to open. There was a cupcake tea at 3pm I wanted to go to. Beth was not so sure about it. So I found her at 3pm. The casino was not open, so she went with me to the tea. It was kind of nice. They had several different cupcake to choose from and I had mike and Beth had tea. I then headed back to the library and Beth went to Eagles Trivia contest. I went to find her around 5:30pm and she was playing slots. She only had a few dollars left to play with, so I came back to the room and she followed about 30 minutes late. It was formal night in the dinner room, so we ate in the Lido deck again. They are having a Dessert Extravaganza at 10:30pm tonight. We are hoping to stay up for it, but we will see.

Bermuda - Day 5
Another great day we had. We slept in late this morning and it was great. We got up around 8:30am and took showers. We went up to the Lido deck for breakfast. We had a few more things to purchase so we exited the boat and went shopping. We came back to the room and watched a little TV before lunch. We had our first excursion at 2pm. It was a snorkel one. The weather took a turn and the wind kicked up. It looked like rain and we were afraid it would be cancelled. We changed into our suits and headed to the meeting place. We found out we would not be able to snorkel around the ship wreck due to the weather but would do a glass bottom over the wreck and snorkel in the cove. You could cancel if you wanted, but we said no way. So we headed out on the boat. We anchored in the cove and we jumped in. The water was nice and clear. I can at least say I was in the Bermuda Triangle. We had about an hour and a half in the water. It was great. We saw several kinds of fish and plants. We headed back to the dock. We were given a Rum Swizzle and we both loved it. We had about an hour and 20 minutes to shower, change, and have some dinner before our next excursion. We made it in plenty of time. The next excursion was a sunset Pirate cruise. It was a little disappointing because it went to the same wreck we just saw. But the Pirate information was interesting. We decided to sleep in again in the morning. We are leaving dock at 1pm and Beth is so afraid we will miss the ship if we do anything. Oh and to clarify something, I was wrong as to where Bermuda is located. It is directly over from North Carolina and is an hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
