No excitement

We got up around 9am this morning. I made french toast for breakfast and boy was it good. We took showers and I started laundry. Other than that we ready did not do much of anything. We waited to see who got cut on the Eagles and well there was no excitement in the day.

Rylee's last day...

We got up around 8am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. I left to go to CVS, Michael's and then to the grocery store. I came home and we had some lunch. We left around 3pm to go to get hoagie rolls and to the post office. we then picked up Rylee around 3:20pm. It was her last day at this school and the school is closed tomorrow. So she had to say her good-byes to everyone before we left. I fixed cheese steaks for dinner and they were really good. Dawn joined us for dinner and we had a good time visiting. It is the last night for preseason football and most the games will be the 3rd and 4th strings, but it football. College games start tomorrow morning at 9am and I will be right there watching it all day long.

Grass cutting...

We got up around 9am this morning. I made breakfast and I took a shower. I then went downstairs to work on some scrapbooking stuff and Beth went out to cut the front yard. I had some nachos for lunch and then went to pick up Kyle as she was going to weed whack and cut the back yard. He finished up and took a shower. He had some home work to do and finished up just as DJ came to pick him up. I made him a sandwich to eat and they left for the track. I made steak for dinner and it is now time for  football.

Car show...

We slept until 9:30am this morning and then watch TV in bed for a while. We had a quick breakfast and I took a shower. Beth went out to run a couple of errands and then work on getting the car cleaned up for the car show this evening. I worked in the scrap book room. We had some dinner and I felt around 6pm to go pick up Jojo. Her parents had a meeting at school, so I stayed the last 30 minutes of hockey practice, then took her to the car show. They had some really neat cars and truck there.

Round 2 for the light...

we had to get up at 7:30am this morning as we had to see Dr. Bill at 9am. We stopped at WAWA for breakfast and then came home. After breakfast, I had to go to the UPS store and then to Wal-mart. I was back home around 11am. We had lunch before the light guy was to come. I out a pot of beans and ham on before leaving to go get my hair cut and colored. I called Beth on the way home and the guy was still looking at the light. I stopped by CVS and the store on my way home. The guys were just finishing up and found the problem. They have to order a the part that is not working right, but at least they found the problem. We had dinner and then we to the meeting about the sewer. It was very interesting and the out come is not at all what we thought it would be. The board wants the developer to pay something for making us hook up to the sewer and will re-vote again int 2 weeks. So I alot of phone calls and meeting to get it hammered out before the next meeting. So we will see what happens.

Football...

Beth was up and at church by 8am this morning. I got up just after she left and a shower. I started the laundry and played on the computer until she came home. We had breakfast and read the paper. I put all the magazine in a plastic bag and Beth took them to the recycle on her way to her parent's house. She went to the cemetery to put flower out for her mom. She had been gone 2 years today. She then went to the house to do a quick cleaning. DJ and Dawn arrived around 12:30pm. I went with DJ to go get Maggie's SUV and then came home. Dawn and Jo left about 5 minutes after I got home to go see some things at the new house. Rylee and I waited for Aunt Beth to get home and had some lunch. Dawn and Jo came back around 2pm and had to leave to go to the store and back home as Jo had an install for work she had to do. Beth and I started watching the 4pm football game and then has dinner at half time. we are getting ready for the 8pm game and then will wait to see who got caught up in the first rounds of cuts.

Almost a day of nothing...

I got up around 8:15 and Beth got up around 10am, We had breakfast and took showers. Beth headed to BJ's wholesale club and I cleaned the bathroom and then worked on some scrapbook. When Beth got home we had lunch and then watched the football game at 4pm. We then had dinner and are waiting for the next game to begin. So as you can see it was almost a day of doing nothing.

New Phone...

Happy Anniversary Beth. I did not get up until 9:15am this morning and Beth slept until 10am. we had breakfast and took showers. We then went to the bank and to the mall. We stopped by the Verizon store to look at new phones. I finally found a phone I like and we got it. It is a Samsung Stratosphere and I love it. It will take me some time to figure out how everything works. We finally got home around 3:30pm and rested until 5pm. We headed to KOP to the Melting Pot for our anniversary dinner. It is alway good and we are stuffed. We are now watching the Eagles game and hoping for another win.

To the ranch...

We got up around 8am this morning. We took showers and had breakfast. We then headed to the ranch. We found little at the ranch, so we headed to Cabelo's. We found alot of things there and had a good time. We were back home around 2:30pm. I put a chicken in the set it and forget before I left to go pick up Rylee. Dawn and Jo joined us for dinner of chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, and gravy. Jo had to left as she had a hair cut and Dawn and Rylee left around 8pm. We are now watching the Cardinals Titans football game.  Tomorrow is our 7 year anniversary and we are going to the Melting Pot for dinner.

Racing...

We both got up around 8:30am this morning. Beth was felling better, which was a relief. We had some breakfast and I took a shower. Beth changed into grass cutting clothes. She was still have problems with getting the order for Liz's book and had to work on that. It took alot longer than it should have, she she finally got it to work. It was time for a quick lunch and I then went to pick up Kyle. Beth was cutting the front yard, so I dropped Kyle off and went to the store. We needed the basics, eggs, milk, and bread. I came home and Kyle finished cutting fist and Beth was not far behind. The both took a shower and DJ came to pick up Kyle and the trailer around 4:45pm. We had some dinner and left to go to the track. Payton was first up and took a nasty crash that hurt his leg. He finished the race and got 3rd place. Kyle was up next and their were no kids to run in his class, so he ran with the Jr. unrestricted. He started in 3ed place and quickly took the lead. It was a great race to watch and he won, but he should have running in a lower class. But his lines and passing were good. We are going to the ranch tomorrow, so that should be fun.

No light...

I got up around 8:30am this morning and Beth got up around 9:30. I fixed bacon, egg, and cheese muffins for breakfast. Kyle text that he wanted to come over tomorrow to mow grass instead of today, so since I was already dressed for work, I went out to pull weeds. There were alot of them with the rain and lower temps. It took about an hour, but the beds look better. I can inside and the guy called about fixing the light in the kitchen. When we came home from vacation, we notices that half the light in the kitchen did not work. So he checked everything and could  not find the problem. He was here over 2 hours and finally left to return another day. So the light is still not working. Beth fixed ham, potatoes, and green beans for dinner and it was good. She was not feeling good as the day went on and went to bed early. Great, all I need is for her to get sick.

Phone call day...

We got up around 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. Beth had several phones calls to make and it took most of the morning. Kim came by to have Beth scan something and email it. We had lunch and I went downstairs to work on the tool room a little. Beth's niece came by and they worked on ordering her books for school. We had dinner and settled in to watch the eagles play football. They don't look that good and Vick got hurt in the first quarter, but the rookie played pretty good. Tomorrow is grass cutting day and we are back to a weekly event. The weather is starting to change and you can fall is on the way.

Draft day...

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got and toke a shower and began doing the final prep of food for the draft party. We had everything ready to go by 1pm when people started getting here. Beth went over rules changes and then I started the draft. My job was to keep things rolling, call out the names chosen, and maintain the draft board. We make good progress this year and finished in about 3 hours. Then it was time to visit and eat. Everyone left around 7pm and we had a easy clean up and were done by the 8pm kick off of the Steelers and Colts. It was a good day and the start of the regular season is near.

Start of cleaning ...

We were up around 8am this morning. I took a shower and Beth got dressed in cleaning clothes. we had breakfast and I left for the grocery store. I forgot today was the last day to get the discount on gas, so I came home and go the gas cans and went back to get in line. It was not to bad and there were only 2 cars ahead of me. I had 60 cents off a gallon, but still cost 80 buck to fill everything up. I stopped at Best Buy and got the new Hunger Games dvd with the gift card I got for Christmas. So I came home and started making chili. Beth was busy cleaning the furnace room. After making the chili, I had 90 cake pops to dip in chocolate. I used light and dark chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, and cherry with a french vanilla cake mix. I then went down to help Beth with some cleaning. We made a good dent in it and will continue next week. We had some dinner and watch the Giants and Jets football game. We have the football fantasy draft tomorrow and wanted to get a look at as many players before then. So it will be a busy morning get the rest of the stuff ready for the 1pm party.

Kid free zone...

We got up around 8:30am this morning. Jojo was dressed, packed, and ready to go home. Little did she know her mom was working and would not be going home until 4pm, We had waffles for breakfast and then Jojo did her homework and reading. We had some lunch and Beth and her watched a movie on the blue ray.  I did laundry, cleaned the fridge, make cake pops, and cleaned the kitchen. I tried one of the 5 hour energy shot and boy did it work. I only took have of it and it has an awful taste, but it gets you going. Beth took Jojo home around 4pm. We had dinner and are ready to watch some football. Rain is heading and bringing with it some cool temps.

All 3 kids...

We got up around 8:30am this morning. we had breakfast and Maggie dropped of Payton around 9:30am. He was spending a few hours with us while Maggie had to work. I left to go to KOP to get the Build a bear lost shoe that got left there yesterday. Beth, Jojo, and Payton went swimming. I got home around 12:10pm and Beth was making sandwiches for lunch. I got Payton changed into his good clothes, as he had kindergarten meeting at 1pm. Payton wanted to come back afterwards, so Maggie dropped him off around 3pm. I left to go get Rylee from school around 3:30pm and picked up pizza on the way home. Maggie had just arrived to pick up Payton when Rylee and I got home. So Payton left and Rylee hopped in the pool with Beth and Jojo. we had dinner around 5pm and Dawn joined us. They had someone looking at their house tonight and om Saturday, so let hope it is a good sign. Dawn and Rylee left around 7pm and Jojo was in bed by 8pm. So it was time to relax and enjoy a little football before bed. What a day it was,

Run day...

We were up around 9am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. We headed to KOP to the Build a bear shop there. Jojo built a multicolored bear and put a Disney dress on her. After that, we stopped by BJ's wholesale club to get a few things for the draft party this Sunday. We then came home and had a late lunch. Beth went to pick up the boys around 3:30pm and bring them over to our house. I fixed them hamburgers and corn on the cob. Since we had a late lunch, I fixed us the same thing around 5:30pm. DJ picked the boys around 5pm and headed to the track. Jojo and I went to the track around 6:30pm. Beth had church tonight and was not able to go. Kyle was moved up to the next class and won first place. He did well and looked good. Payton took fourth place and seem uninterested in racing tonight. Not sure what is up with him lately. The weather is turning and is only getting in the mid 80's during the day and 60's at night.

Hobby Lobby shopping..

We got up around 8:15am this morning. It had been raining and looked like it was not done. I fixed cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then took a shower. The sky opened up and the rain just poured. we got about 3/4 and inch in about 20 minutes. When the rain let up. we headed for the car and headed to Reading. We needed to get some more nacho cheese for this week-end football draft party. We then headed to Allentown to have lunch and CiCi's pizza and do some shopping at Hobby Lobby. They had paper 50% off and I was running low on specific colors. The skies were nice for the ride hope, but stated to cloud up again just as I was fixing dinner. At this rate, we will be back to cutting the grass every week.

A crazy day...

We had to get up at 7:30am this morning as we were seeing Dr. Jill at 9am. Beth took first shower then got Jojo ready and had breakfast. We came home after see Dr. Jill and I went to pick up Kyle. The back yard needed to be cut and all the weed whacking needed to be done. We had lunch around 13:30pm and took Kyle home around 2pm. We then went to Best Buy and Target for a few things. Beth and Jojo went swimming and I tried to take a nap, but a fly would not leave me alone. Needless to say he will not be bothering anyone again. I fixed nachos for dinner and then took Jojo to house as we had a meeting to go to. we picked her up about a hour later and came home. Football was on at 8pm, so I went downstairs to watch it and make a list of paper I needed. We are going to Hobby Lobby tomorrow as they have paper 50% off. So tomorrow will be a running day.

Renaissance fair

We got up around 8am. We were just getting out of bed when Dawn called. She was at our back door. She dropped of the booster seat for Jojo and visited a little while. We then took showers, had breakfast, and left to pick up Jojo. She is staying the week with us as her vacation away from moms. We headed to the fair and it was a great day for it. A little cloudy, but no rain. We had a great time seeing lots of shows, shopping, and eating. I had a Scottish egg, which was to die for, fried mac and cheese, strudel both apple and cherry, and a soda. We left around 4:15pm to come home. We stopped at Sonic for dinner and made it home around 6pm. Beth and Jojo went swimming, but the water was a little cold for me. So now, we are watching the closing ceremonies and then off to bed.

Cleaning...

We got up around 9am this morning. we had breakfast and I took a shower. Beth got changed into her work clothes and cut the front yard. I did laundry and cleaned the house. We left around 3pm to go to Zern's so Beth could get a couple books for her coin collection. We then stopped by the school to pick up our chicken dinners for the Pottsgrove Marching Band. We came home and Beth went to mass. She stopped by the beer store on the way home and got a new keg. We then had our chicken dinners for dinner and they were great. We watched football and relaxed the rest of the evening. We are picking Jojo up at 9:30am in the morning and got to the PA Renaissance fair.  She will be spending the week with us as her vacation.

Same old...

We got up around 9am this morning. We had pop tart for breakfast and then took showers. I went downstairs and did scrapbooking and Beth worked on her coins again. She had an appointment at 2:30pm to meet her new insurance agent as her old one retired. Dawn and Jo came over around 4pm. They had been out looking at new day cares for Rylee and decided to now he to the Goddard School near Exton. We had dinner and DJ and Maggie came by to borrow the truck and the cooler. The Pottsgrove band is doing a car wash and Chicken dinner tomorrow. It was another night of football and a chance to see the teams in action. Can't wait for the start of the season. Saw the hightlights of the Chiefs  Cardinals game and mom, your team is not looking so good. Might be a long season for you.

Eagles win...

I was up at 8:30am and Beth got up at 9:30am. I made bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin for breakfast and it was sure good. I took a shower and headed downstairs for scrap booking all day. Beth worked on sorting and reviewing her coins. I came upstairs around 3pm and the sky was dark and you could hear thunder. About 10 minutes later, the sky cut loose and it rained almost 3/4 an inch in 40 minutes. We left to go pick up Rylee and it had not rained at her school. We started home and the rain was gone and the sun was shining. I have to look at the gutters as the strip over the window does not seem to be working right. We had spaghetti for dinner and then watched some Mickey Mouse club. I gave Rylee a bath around 7pm and Jo got here just as Rylee was getting out of the tub. After they left, it was time to setting in and watch the first preseason football game. We did win, but it was not pretty. Waiting to see what next week holds.

Kyle takes first place..

We were both up around 9am this morning. we had breakfast and I took a shower. Beth got changed into work clothes and went outside to work on the doors and windows on the back side of the house. I spent the day scrap booking again. We had lunch around 1pm and went back to what we were working on. Dawn came by around 5pm to pick up Beth to go get her car. Beth came home and we had BLTs for dinner, before heading to the track. Payton took 3rd place in his race and Kyle took his first 1st place race. He pasted his girlfriend with 5 laps left and won. Good for him. Payton still needs some fine tuning of his car.

Whole day of scrap booking...

I got up around 8:30am this morning. I played on the computer for about a hour, then took a shower. Beth was just getting up, so we had English muffins for breakfast. I had to go to Best Buy and get ink and then on to target for a couple of things. I got home and went downstairs to scrapbook. I had to print some more pictures first. We had lunch around 1pm, then back downstairs. Beth had to go see Dr. Jill as he back was really out of place. She text me around 6:30pm to see if we were having dinner. We had planned to go see Dawn's softball game, but with her back and me being on a roll, we did not make it. We order Chinese for dinner and then I was back downstairs until 11pm. I made good progress and can't wait to get started again tomorrow. I think Beth worked on her change collection and got things up to date, before we trade in what we have.

Return and Clean...

We got up around 8:30am this morning. We took showers and got ready to take back the equipment. They unloaded all the equipment and we went to the drive up window to get the credit for the cleaning charge and then headed home. We had an early lunch since we missed breakfast. Beth started cleaning the downstairs and I worked on the upstairs. It was nice to have the house back in order and clean again. I had 4 loads of laundry to do since it did not get done on the week-end. I fixed steak for dinner as the next couple of night are filled with softball and racing. So tomorrow, I can get back to scrap booking again. Yea...

Clean up just in time...

We did not get up until 9am this morning. Jojo was also just getting out of bed. Beth and Jojo had breakfast as I had to wait an hour for mine. Beth took a shower and went to 10:30am mass and then went to pick up Buster. Beth took Jojo home around 12:30pm and was followed home by Dawn and Jo. They took the Jetta home last night and came by today to change to the caddy with Dawn's car in the shop. We visited a while and after they left we got down to cleaning up. We managed to get all the equipment cleaned, loaded in the truck, and the truck in the garage, before it cut loose. We could see the clouds rolling in fast and hurried to get as much other stuff done outside before the rain hit hard. It is a weird sound to here something through the woods and know it will rain as soon as it clears the trees. So now all we have are a few things to pick up downstairs and put away and the carnival is unofficially over. We will take all the equipment back tomorrow and thank god they will unload it. Then it will be time to rest a few day, before planning the fantasy football party on Aug. 18. The Phillies to 2 out of 3 from the diamondbacks, so I had to call mom and brag about it. She was a good sport about it. Tonight was the first preseason game of the football season and we were so excited. That means college football is also just around the corner.

Carnival Day...

We were up at 7am this morning. It was all ready very humid and we were sweating like crazy. We got all the tables set up and the games out. Beth took Buster over to stay with Gabby around 9am. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee got here around 9:45am. Dawn car had some issues and she was able to coast it into the driveway. She called to have it picked up and taken to the dealership to be worked on. Jo and Rylee left around 10:30am as they were going to see Curious George. So the three of us got everything done outside and came inside to begin the food process. We started with the cotton candy first. As you can see from the photo, Beth had a great time making it. We had cotton candy threads all over the downstairs. We could not do it outside as the humid was to high. So after that mess, we moved on to making the slushy mix.We had conflicting instructions, so we followed the ones on the machine. Those turned out really well and were a big hit. So everyone started arriving and swimming was on every one's mind. The water was nice and refreshing. I got out of the pool around 3pm to start the oil for the fries and corn dogs. We tried everything we could , but could not get it to light. So we called the number they gave us for help and a guy came out to look at it. It took him 45 minutes and 2 phone calls, but he got it going. So we were a little behind on the food, but when it was ready, everyone enjoyed it. So after all the cooking, I was really hot, so into the pool I went. Around 6:30pm, I started the funnel cakes. They were OK, but I think the batter was to thick. Everyone started clearing out around 8pm. We did the clean up of most stuff, but will clean all the machines tomorrow. It was a great time and we enjoyed having everyone over.

Still alot to do...

We were awake at 8am this morning as Gayle came to get the old car. She took it to get it inspected by her son and brought it back. After she left, we took showers and headed to the rental place. Good thing we have a truck as the bed was full of items. The guys kept telling us how heavy the fryer was and that we would need help. So when we got it home, we had to laugh. Sure it was a little heavy, but he must have thought we were wimps. We got everything else unloaded and stored in the basement. There was a chance of rain most of the afternoon and evening, so we could not set up as much as we wanted to. But everything is downstairs and ready to go. We will be up at 7am setting everything else and Dawn will be by around 9:15am to help. The Phillies are playing the Diamondbacks and are leading, so I am sure it will hear about tomorrow from mom. But to our defense, our starting picture for tonight was traded and the guy that started could only go 4 innings.

Happy Birthday Mom...

I want to wish my mom a very Happy Birthday. I was up around 8:30am this morning and Beth got up around 9:30am. We had breakfast and I took a shower. I headed to the grocery store since they had alot of good sales. I came home and Beth helped me unload the truck. We had fried chicken for lunch and it tasted really good. we then had to go to Beth's parents house to pick up a long table. We came home and Beth went to pick up Rylee at school. I made BLTs for dinner. Rylee had hers deconstructed but liked it. We then went swimming and the water was 98 degrees. Almost to hot for swimming. We swam for 2 hours until Jo came to pick up rylee. We are now watching the Olympics and the Phillies game.

Hip Better...

I got up around 7:15am and took a shower. I called to see if I could get in to see Dr. Bill and they told me to come on down. He was able to adjust my hip and said it really needed it. I then stopped at WAWA and got some milk and a donut for Beth. I came home and she was still sleeping, I had breakfast and watched TV until she got up around 10am. After Beth took a shower , we left to do some more shopping. We went to Reading to the restaurant store to get oil, funnel cake mix, more slushy mix. We then stopped at Chipotle's for lunch. It was then on to Costco for more shopping and then to the pretzel factory to order pretzels for Saturday. We finally made it home around 4pm. I put some ice on my hip and rested until time for dinner. We had leftovers and then headed out again. We were going to watch the boys race, but it began to ran, so we went to BJ's for another round of shopping. We are watching the Phillies , who are ahead right. So tomorrow is another running day, as we have to go to Beth's parents house to get another table and then stop at the grocery store. We will pick up Rylee tomorrow from school and then put up the canopy over the back deck. My hip is stilla little sore, but does not hurt like it did yesterday.
