Movie with Rylee

We were up around 7:30am. We took showers and headed to Dawn and Jo's house. Beth and Dawn were going to put together Rylee's new bad and Rylee and I were going to the movies. Jo was going to yoga class and then over to her mom's house. So Rylee and I headed out. It was bitter cold with temps in the 18, but the wind was blowing hard. We were seeing Strange Magic. There only 12 people in the theater and the movie was really good. We then went to Target and back to pick up Beth. Rylee's bed was nice and she loved it. We went to Giovanni's for a early dinner. We came home and cleaned the downstairs for the party tomorrow. We are suppose to get snow again tomorrow, but I am hoping it holds off until everyone is gone. Go Seattle!!!!

Blizzard conditions...

For some reason we both slept in late this morning. We had a light breakfast and then I had to take Beth to see Dr. Jill. Her hip was really hurting and needed a big adjustment. I dropped her back at the house and went to Michael's and PetSmart. I then came home and had some lunch. I then went downstairs to print off some pictures for scrapbooking. Then I ran out of paper and had to go to staples. I made a new recipe for dinner. I took slices of flat iron steak and marinated them in Worcestershire sauce. The you take carrots, zucchini, and red peppers and cut them in thin matchsticks. You lightly sauté the veggies and then put them in the center of the meat and roll them up. Them you pan fry and spoon a balsamic vinaigrette over them. There was a lot of prep work, but boy were they so good. After dinner, I went downstairs to work more on scrapbooking. We had blizzard like conditions most of the late afternoon. We both were not expecting any snow, but it did not stick on the streets. Glad it did not last long.

Dinner and a movie...

We were up around 8am. we took showers and Beth took Buster to the vet again. He has an issue with a sore on his face. I started laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Beth got home around 10am. Buster had a staff infection on is face from scratching. He had pills, medicated cleaning patches, and cream. DJ stopped by for a visit and we had a great time chatting. We had lunch after she left and then went to Staples. I spent the rest of the afternoon in the scrapbook room, until it was time to start dinner. Rylee called to see if we could watch the Book of Life after dinner. So we had tacos and then watched the movie. The weather took a turn and we are to get another inch of snow tonight. I hope Florida is in the future very soon.

Day of running...

We were up around 8am this morning. We took showers and had breakfast. We headed out around 11am. I had to go give blood first. We then to the UPS store and I had my picture taken for the pass port renewal application. We then went to the post office, so I could mail the application. We then went to Longhorn steakhouse for lunch. I had soup and salad and Beth had a salad. Beth dropped me off at the grocery store and she went to Best Buy and Petsmart. She then picked me up and we went to Wal-Mart. We finally made it home around 3:30pm. I went downstairs and worked on scrapbook stuff. It was a little chilly here day. The temperature said 32, but the wind made it feel a lot colder.

No Snow...

We woke this morning to no snow. I was only a light covering and no more. We had breakfast and I took a shower. Beth went out to clean off the driveway and then took snow off the edges of the roof. The sun was out and was melting a bit. I filled out the paperwork to renew my passport and we will get the picture tomorrow. I made a batch of roasted veggie and had chicken for dinner. The veggies were really good and we will have them a lot. Tomorrow will be a very cold day and the high will be 22 with a low of 7. It appears they took the snow out of the forecast fore the rest of the week and the week-end, so the Super bowl party should be good.

Snow a coming...

Dawn called at 7am this morning to see if we could watch Rylee today. we said sure and Jo brought her down around 7:30am. We played some games and had breakfast. We went outside to play in the snow for awhile. Rylee helped Aunt Beth us the small snow blower. She did 4 rows and then asked if she could go play. We were outside about an hour and then came in. Rylee had some issues with pants wetting today. So the last time, I sent her to her room to go sit on her bed for awhile. Well as usually, she fell asleep. She had been fighting sleep most of the afternoon. She got up around 4:30pm and Dawn was here to get her around 5pm. They are expecting us to get 4 - 8 inches of snow over night. I hope the winds will not be as bad as they say. The snow is very light and blow easily, so I don't expect it to have much effect on tree limbs. We had the tub full of water to use for toilet flushing if necessary and all cell phone and ipads are charged. So we will see what tomorrow brings.

More snow coming...

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up and put a roast with carrots and onions in the crock pot. When Beth got home we had breakfast. Beth went out to pull some of the snow off the roof. we are expected to get another foot the next couple of days. Dawn came done to get the truck as they were getting a snow blower. I had to get meet a lady and pick up a metal wall hanging I got off the yard sale site. I then picked up Rylee on the way home as we told her we would watch the Boxtrolls this afternoon. We had some lunch and watched the movie. Then we found a box and Rylee became a box troll.

Jo came and picked up Rylee around 4pm. she was so excited to show them her box. We had dinner and are not relaxing. It was a good day and I am still feeling good.

Snow

We were up around 8am this morning. Snow was all over the ground. We had breakfast and went to clean off the driveway. There was about 4 inches of snow and no ice, which was good. Beth used the big snow blower to clean off most of the snow. I used the little snow blower to get down to the driveway surface. It was already starting to melting and was heavy. It took us about an hour and a half to get everything cleaned off. We came inside and took showers and then had some lunch. Beth worked downstairs and I took a nap. I was really happy to see that maybe the iron shots might be holding this time. I was able to do all the driveway with out getting winded. More snow is coming Monday and then cold weather right behind it.

Snow is on the way...

We were up around 8am this is morning. We took showers and headed out the door. Beth dropped me off at the grocery store and went to the John Deere store. We had prefect timing as I finished checking out as she arrived to pick me up. we dropped off the groceries at the house and then left to go to the wholesale club. We were back home around 12:30pm and had some lunch. Beth went out to feed the birds and the deer as snow is on the way. I went to Best Buy, to TSC to get suet squares and a deer mineral bock, and then got gas for the tractor. We had dinner and then went up to Dawn and Jo's to drop off their stuff we got for them at the whole sale club. The snow will hit some time in the night and continue til tomorrow afternoon. We are suppose to get 2 - 4 inches and some freezing rain and then 2-4 inches on Monday.

Thinking clearer...

I had a had time sleeping last night. I finally went to bed around midnight and got up around 5:45am. We only got about a half inch of snow and it was melting. We took shower and headed to see Dr. Bill. We drove separately as Beth went to take the car in for inspection. I came home and started laundry and made a few calls. I then left and went to Costco to get a chicken pot pie for dinner tonight. I came home and did a little cleaning until Beth go home. Beth had to go pick up Jojo from school at 3pm and Kim came to pick her up around 4pm. Dawn and Rylee got here 5:30pm and we had dinner. They left around 7:30pm to got home. I feel much better today and my throat does not hurt anymore.

GI day....

I got up at 7:15am. I started drinking as much as I could with the 12 pills I had to take. I finished at 8am and could not drink anymore. We left around 11:10pm and got checked in. I had to meet with the insurance lady first and then waited for them to call me back. I finally got called at 12:15pm. I had to meet with several people and got my IV started. I was told the there was someone ahead of me and then it was my turn. I was finally taken back and got all set up. It was then night night time. I remember waking up a bit and them taking to me and spraying some stuff in my mouth and then going back to sleep. So the good part is that the lower part had one little polyp and was nothing to worry about and no bleeding. The upper did not go well. They said that I produced too much juice and cause it to go into my lungs. I had problems breathing and had to be bagged of a while. They had to stop the process. They said I needed to go the hospital to have the process done as they are equipped for my type of issues. They said I made them earn their pay today, and not in a good way.   I truly do not think there is going to be any bleeding, but I will wait for another 2 weeks to find out. We stopped and got hoagies and came home. It was just starting to snow and they are expecting 1 - 3 inches. We came home and my throat hurt too bad for a hoagie right now, so I had mac and cheese and pudding. I was able to get the hoagie for dinner. So it appears going to Florida might happen the first of March, if we are lucky.

Prep time...

We got up around 7:30am this morning. I had not heard back form the center yesterday on my time for Wednesday, so I called again and left another message. Finally around 11am they called back. Not sure why they had some cancellations, but they wanted to push my test off until next Tuesday. I kinda lied when they asked if I had already taken the day off and I said yes. Not sure why they wanted to only work a half day, might have something to do with the snow coming in tomorrow, but I was not waiting another week. So I am set for noon tomorrow and have to be there by 11:30am. She said it would take 2 to 2 1/2 hours. We then went to Best Buy and I call from the insurance person at the center letting me know I had a $750 co-pay for the procedure. I think I will have no problems meet my deductible this year. So we came home and I started drinking juice, Gatorade, and tea. I had some vegetable broth for lunch and dinner. I started taking the first 4 pill and 8 oz of juice at 5pm. Then 4 more pills and 8 oz of liquid every 15 minutes. It was so much easier than drinking that god awful stuff and the process began working before the last se of pills were taken. I will have to take 12 more pills at 7:30am and can not drink anything after 8am. I will be starving by 3pm tomorrow, but at least will know something after the process.

Last day....

We were up early this morning. We meet Dawn around 9am and headed to Shady Maple. They have the best food and we were stuffed. We went to the Craft barn and picked a few things. We headed back home and stopped by Michael's. I had a coupon for 30% off and needed several things for the wedding. we did not find what I was looking for, so we came home. I called the Surgical center back and had to leave a message. They said my appoint would be at 1pm on Wednesday. So I will start the prep tomorrow and then headed there on Wednesday. We headed to Exton and found what I needed at the Michaels' there. We picked up Rylee form school on our way home.

football sunday

We woke up this morning to ice on the roads. It took Beth a little longer to get home from church, but she made it will on minor sliding. I finally ventured out to the store around 2pm and the roads ere not bad. Dawn and Rylee came down around 3:30pm to watch the game with us. Jo called around 5pm and their lights were out. So we ordered some dinner and she picked it up on her want down. They said their light would be back on around 1pm, maybe. Jo and Rylee left around 8 to go home. We offered the guest bedroom, but she was fine going home. If the weather is nice tomorrow, we are headed to Shady Maple for breakfast.

Movie day...

We were up by 7:30am this morning. Dawn and Rylee were picking us up around 9:30am to go to the movies. We went to see In to the woods. I knew there was singing in it, but it started 30 sec. into the movie and continued. Rylee did go except for the last 30 minutes and then she got bored. We stopped by Staples on the way home to get some big envelopes. I needed to work on getting my scrapbooking projected organized. Dane and Rylee stayed about an hour or so then went to their house. I went to the scrapbook room and Beth wen to walk. she is doing really good with the walking and eating. I am really proud of her. Buster went to the groomer as he really smelled like a dog. He got home around 8:30pm and smells so much better.

Another doctor's appt.

We were up around 8am. We took showers and had breakfast before headed out. We were able to see the doctor around 11:30am. He schedule the upper and lower GI at the same time to save time incase we have to do the camera pill. So Tuesday is the prep day and I do not have that drink that nasty stuff but will take 32 pills and to the clear liquids all day. After leaving the doctor's office, we went to AC Moore and then stopped at CVS for the pills. We had lunch and I went downstairs to work in the scrapbook room. I have way to much STUFF and need to get it organized. I made the rest of the roasted veggies for dinner and we both like them very much and will have them more often.

Laundry day...

We were up around 8:15am this morning. We took showers and had breakfast and I started laundry. We had to go to the grocery store for tonight's dinner of sloppy joe. Beth did her walked this afternoon and I continued laundry. It was kind of cold again and only got to 28 degrees. I have an appointment with the stomach doctor tomorrow, so we will see what he says.

Not much of anything...

We were up around 8am. We had breakfast and took showers. we then went to AC Moore as I had 2 coupons. I fixed a great dinner of pork chops with roasted veggies. It was really good and will be a keeper for the future. Beth went to Home Depot and I worked on a couple of things for the wedding. It was still chilly and made it to 26 degrees today.

Second shot of iron...

We went to bed late last night so we sleep until 9:15am. We took showers and I started lunch around noon. We had fajitas in lettuce wraps. They were really good. I left around 2pm to go to the hospital for my second iron shot. I then stopped by the store on the way home. Beth put most of the Christmas stuff in the attic and we only have a few items still up. We are still hopping to get to Florida sometime this winter, but hope to know something by the end of the week.

Big game....

We were up around 8:30am. We had breakfast and took showers. It was a little icy outside, but the roads were not bad. We went to the bank and to Lowe's. We are trying something new and having our big dinner meal for lunch and a lighter meal for dinner. It will take me a while to get used to cooking big at dinner and having things ready then. We both spent the rest of the afternoon on the phone to the insurance company. They denied claims for this year saying we were not active members. so after several conversation, I think that is solved. I have a couple more issues they are still working on. What a mess. The college football championship is tonight and I am hoping for a ducks win.

Taxes...

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up and took a shower right before she got home. We had breakfast and read the paper. I then went to work on my medical for the taxes. What a mess I had. After about an hour I had most of it figured out and we added to the spreadsheet Beth had. I have to do better next year. We then started watching the football game. we left around 1:45pm to go up to Dawn and Jo's house. Jo invited us to Dawn's birthday dinner. We had meatloaf with mashed potatoes. It was yummy. Afterwards, Rylee and I spent most of the time building and playing in the fort. We finally left around 4pm to come home and watch the other game. It was a great day. I am still feeling good, so we will see what happens with the second shot on Tuesday. We are suppose to get freezing rain in the morning, so we will be staying home most of the day.

Clean up time....

We were up around 8:30am this morning. I took a shower and then went to the office to work on my medical stuff. Beth went to go take  a shower and I then heard the back door open. Rylee came running into the office. Rylee said they just stopped by to say hello. How cute. They stayed a couple of hours and we had a good time. Rylee now love Capt. Crunch cereal and took the rest of the box home with her.  We went to BJ's wholesale club for a couple things and then came home. We went downstairs to work on the Holiday room. Beth had taken everything out of it and cleaned it. So we started working on the Christmas stuff first. We finished that then when we had some dinner. We just started working on the other holiday stuff, when Kyle and his new girlfriend came over for a visit. we had a nice time chatting with them and look forward to more visits. we then went back to the room and finished all the other holidays. Now were just have all the crap left to go through. We have a lot of stuff to put on the yard sale site and a lot of trash to take out. We will work on it a little at a time, but it already looks better.

Good day...

We were up around 8am this morning. I felt really good and had more energy than I have had in awhile. It was bitter cold out and only made it to 16 degrees today. We took showers and headed to Best Buy. I picked up my computer and then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond. We then went to Wal-Mart and came home. we picked up a pizza at Wal-Mart for lunch. It was really good and cheap. We had to take Buster to the vet for his shots and his check up. His limp is doing a lot better  and he gained a pound with was good for him. Rylee called on the way over for dinner and asked if we could watch Ariel the Beginning for a movie tonight. We had tacos for dinner and then watched the movie. It was a good day and I hope it stays that way for awhile.

Iron shot...

We got to sleep in this morning. Beth had a massage appointment at 11am, Beth had a massage appointment and was back home by 12:30pm. It was bitter cold out and the wind was blowing again. She went out after lunch and cleaned off the driveway. I left around 2pm to go get iron shot number one. I made it back home around 4pm. I was able to get an appointment to see the stomach doctor on Jan 16th. Hopefully I can get all the procedures done by Feb. 3.

Snow....

We were up around 7:30am this morning. It has already started to snow and the ground was covered. We took shower's and head to the doctor's office. We got checked in and waited almost an hour before going to the room. The nurse did explain that they were backed up and it might be a while before we see the doctor.  He finally came in about 15 minutes later. We still don't know anymore than we did. I am scheduled for 2 more iron shots and he want me to have an upper and lower GI again. He still believe that I am bleeding some where. But if all these test come back good then the next thing will be a bone marrow biopsy. So were finally got out of they at noon and came home. Beth spent the rest of the day pulling al the stuff out of the Holiday room and we will go through it tomorrow and organize it. The snow stopped around 4pm, but the next few days will be bitter cold.

COLD....

We got up around 7:30am this morning. I was very cold and windy out. After seeing Dr. Bill, we came home and had breakfast. Beth left around noon to go to her doctor. Her doctor put her on Lipitor also. I had to go to the bank and then to the store. They called on my computer and needed to reinstall a couple programs, so we had to take the disc up to them. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow. It is going to be in the los 20's to single digits the next couple days. I am so hoping to go to Florida soon.

Blue screen of death...

We slept in late this morning and Beth went to 10:30am mass. She then picked me up and we took my computer to Best Buy. I have gotten the blue screen of death twice. so they ended up keeping it and hopefully can fix it. We came home and watched the football games and worked on getting the Christmas stuff organized. Dawn came over around 4pm to watch the game with us. Too bad the Loins lose, but oh well.

Cleaning up Christmas...

I slept until 10:30am this morning, but did not go to bed until 1:30am. I cleaned out the fridge and all lefts are gone. I then cleaned the bathroom and did the laundry. I was really tired and will finish the rest of the bathroom tomorrow. I then settled in to watch college football and then the playoff games. We took the Christmas tree done and sorted all the ornaments we have and got them organized. We have needed to do this for a long time and now seemed as good as a time as any.

Finalize cater...

We were up around 7am this morning. We decided that it might be easier to have Beth stay home with Rylee and I would meet with the cater. So I left around 8:30am and got there early. We were able to finalize questions we had and put a deposit down to hold the date. She send cookies home with me and they were to die for. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing with Rylee. Beth took her outside to play with the bubbles and they had a lot of fun. Dawn came by around 5pm to get Rylee. It was a fun day.

Happy New Year...

We got up around 8:15am this morning and I put cinnamon rolls in the oven. We had breakfast and discussed the wedding plans and what we still needed to do. We then took showers and I went to the grocery store for pork and sauerkraut for dinner. I spent the rest of the day again watching football and GOOOO Ducks..... Dawn put Rylee to bed around 8pm and we had some time to play before then. We are meeting with the cater tomorrow to go over the food for the wedding.
