Last day of good food...

Beth was up and at church at 8am this morning. I slept until 9am and got up just before she got home. We really could not decide what to have for breakfast, so I was fend for yourself. I then took a shower and then headed out to do some errands. I am on a special low salt diet next week, so I had to gear up for that. I first stopped at Wal-mart for a few things. Beth called and said Gayle and Angie were on their way over to go over the instruction for the house and Buster before we leave next week-end. I had to go to get Beth some coffee and then on to the store. I hate going on Sunday's because it is always packed and today was no exception. I made it home around 1pm and Gayle and Angie were just leaving. The Phillies game came on and I went downstairs to work on some scrapbooking stuff. I want to try a couple of the new layouts I got at the convention. Beth made green bean and ham soup for dinner and it was great. It will be my last good meal for the next four days. It will be strictly fruit, vegetables, and peanut butter. Yum Yum. I have my first shot tomorrow morning and can't wait..NOT

Soccer and Swimming...

We got up around 7:45am this morning and headed to Rylee's soccer practice. She was so cute and doing alot better. We left there and had to go to the Pack-N-Ship place to mail off the Eagles tickets to the guy who bought them. We then came home and had brunch. Beth left around 11am to go meet Kim and Jojo for the Kimberton fair. I finished the laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Beth came home around 4pm just as I was rolling up the cover for the pool. We had a bad storm last night and there were some leaves that needed to be fished out. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee were here around 4:45pm and we all went swimming. The water was nice and warm. We ordered pizza and had it delivered around 6:30pm. Rylee now loves the meat lover's pizza. We changed and came inside to watch the Phillies game and the addition of Hunter Pence to the club. He did well for his first game.

Another great day of scrapbooking...

I was up and out the door by 8:30am this morning. I had a early entry pass for the shopping part of the convention. I wanted to finish visiting the shops I did not get to yesterday. My first class was at 11:10am and I had 2 more classes back to back from there. The first 2 classes were talking about new products and we got alot of scrapbooking stuff. I did win a $15 dollar gift certificate to one of the booths as a door prize. The classes were worth the time and I look forward to it again next year. I know the same show is coming to KC for all my friends there. If you are in to scrapbooking or card making, please look into the convention. I was home by 4pm tonight. Beth was a busy girl today and finished trimming all the plants and then powered washed the area around the garage doors. They must be painted this year as they were in bad shape. We had left over London broil for dinner and lettuce wedges. A big old rain storm came in and dumped alot of rain in a short period of time. The light flickered a couple of times, but never went out. We are going to watch Rylee play soccer in the morning and then they are coming over for a swim in the afternoon.

Great day at the Scrapbooking convention...

I got up around 8am this morning and on the road by 8:45am. I had was headed to KOP for the scrapbooking convention. I went to it last year and it was great. I was like a kid in the candy store and this year was no different. I had 2 classes today and spent the rest of the time in the area shopping. I was hot in the shopping area and it was a smaller than normal area. I wanted to get through at least half the shops today and the rest tomorrow. i do have a free pass for Saturday, but don't want to go there until I need to. I headed home around 4:14pm and the traffic was not bad at all. Beth fixed dinner tonight and it was great. We had the grilled London broil with corn. I have another full day of classes and shopping again tomorrow and look forward to it. A shout out to our friend Sal who had surgery today, get well soon my friend.

Glued to the tube...

I did not sleep well at all last night. I finally went to slept around 1:30am and was awake at 3:45am. I finally got back to sleep around and slept until 8am. I was watch the TV most of the day trying to get some info on what players are going where and if the eagles have traded Kevin Kolb yet. We took showers and headed to the mall. I needed a birthday card for my mom and all the Hallmark Christmas ornaments are out. We had lunch at the mall and then came home. Beth wanted steak tonight, so we had to go get gas for the grill. I took out a London broil, but it did not thaw out in time for dinner. So we went to Longhorn for dinner. It was really good and Beth will have steak again tomorrow night. I have my scrapbook convention the next 3 days, so Beth will be home to do what she wants all day. My mom called to tell me that Kolb had been traded, but we see nothing in writing about it yet.

Migraine all day..

I got up around 7:30am this morning and Beth was up about an hour later. we had a light breakfast and then took showers. We had some errands to run and as we were leaving the house, the guys were putting down the new asphalt on the road from our house. We returned home and were glued to the TV to get info on all the rumors around the NFL. Beth's car was read to pick up, so we went down to get it. By this time my headache was getting worse and the upset stomach was starting. A true sign a migraine is on the way. I took some migraine pills and closed my eyes for a while. Finally around 6pm, things were starting to get better. We had dinner and watched the Phillies win their game.

Finally Rain...

We were up around 7:15am this morning. we had appointments to see Dr. Bill at 9am. They seemed really busy this morning, but it did not takes us long to get in. Beth had to have additional ice and stem on her lower back. We then came home and had breakfast. It was really cloudy out and we were hoping for rain. We stayed glued to the TV most of the morning getting updates on the NFL lockout. We have to make sure we are able to get our tickets guy that bought them before the first preseason game. And of course we will be at the shore, so we are a little nervous about when the tickets will be shipped. We had some lunch and I went downstairs to watch TV. Beth was watching the Phillies game and the rain began to pour. It was a great site and the temperature dropped. We are hoping for more rain this evening, but tomorrow and the rest of the week will be back in the 90's.

A day of crafting...

we did not get up until 9am this morning. Beth took a shower but did not make it to church. She went to Lowe's and to WAWA. She came home and we had an early breakfast and Kim came over. She wanted to get some bromine tablets for the pool they got Jojo so they did not have to let the water out everyday. Beth watched the game and I went to scrapbook and work on the room a little bit. The Phillies won again today and we are hoping for a braves lost tonight. I was able to get all the paper organized and then worked on some more pictures. I fixed dinner and then we moved the old pool fountain to the road for the trash truck in the morning. We have appointments with Dr. Bill in the morning and are looking forward to them.

Beth was on a roll....

Beth was up around 8am this morning. She had to pick up Jess and be at the broker by 10am. I took a shower and had breakfast. I tried soy milk on my cereal this morning. It was just ok, but I would not get it again. I can do the turkey bacon, turkey sausage, and turkey hotdogs, but can't do the soy milk. Beth was home around noon. I had started the laundry and went downstairs to work on the scrapbook. Beth got on a roll and did all the floors and even did the laundry. She even folded it and put it away. I was shocked and grateful. We watched the Phillies win and go 5 games up on the braves. I then fixed burgers with corn on the cob and tomatoes from our plants. We then went out to do our swimming exercises. We should see some cooler temperatures next week, which will be a welcome site.

OMG....HEAT

We were up around 8:30am this morning and it was already 87 degrees. We had eggs and bacon for breakfast. I made regular bacon for Beth and turkey bacon for me. Beth tried it and was really surprised at the taste and would try it again. Score one for me. By lunch time the temperature was climbing and was near 97 degrees. I saw the claim against my insurance for the 2 shots I need for the body scan I will have to make sure the cancer is still gone. The total amount was a little over $6000 and my part is $755. Thank god for insurance, but I wish it would pay for more. But what are you going to do???? We had lunch and then went to A.C. Moore and Micheal's and the temperature gauge in Beth's car read 108 degrees. OMG is it hot or what. We do not see this hot of temperature and my tomato plants are not liking it at all. Should see a break in the weather early next week and it can't come too soon. We had tacos with no shells for dinner and it was really good.

Enough of the heat...

It was already 85 degrees at 9am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. We headed out around 11:30am to go pick up Jojo from gymnastics. We then headed towards Reading to go to ACE hardware store. We had a gift card that was about to expire and wanted to get a new patio umbrella. We then went to the whole food store. I was looking for some low carb items, but they really did not have anything. We came home and had hotdogs for dinner. It was now 100 degrees outside and it was nasty out. After lunch, Beth and Jojo went to the pool and I went down to scrapbook. Kim came to pick up Jojo around 4pm. We had dinner a little early as I wanted to go to the grocery store when it was a little cooler out. After we put the grocery away, we went swimming and the water was great.

To hot to do anything..

We slept until 9am this morning. We played on the computer a while then took showers. We skipped having breakfast and had an early lunch. I then saw that Southwest was having a sale on flights and did some checking. We found that our flights for the panama cruise were cheaper than when we purchased them. Beth called Southwest and we got a $180 credit towards our next trip. Mom's flight were higher, so it paid to get her flight back in March. I then went ahead and booked out shore excursions. So we are all set and ready to do the count down. We will start getting ready after we get back from the beach. We then went downstairs to watch the Phillies game. Beth came into the scrapbook room to watch it with me, while I would on my project. The Phillies did ready well and came away with a win. I fixed dinner and of course the grill ran out of gas, so I had to use the grill by the pool. after dinner, Beth went swimming and did her workout. We will pick up Jojo after gymnastics tomorrow and will go swimming then.

I hate the dentist...

We were up around 8am this morning. We took showers and Beth had breakfast. I was too nervous as I had a dentist appointment at 10:30am. I hate the dentist because I always get bad news there and today was no exception. I have to go back in 3weeks for a full scale cleaning. I hate that process and it hurts like hell. So we left there and came home and had some lunch. Beth worked on her desk and I went to scrapbook. We went outside to swim around 6pm and the water was nice. It was another hot day and will be for the next week or so. I finally got to pick some small tomatoes off the vine today and keep them. The other seem to be turning and should be ready in a week or less. I told Beth today that it might be cheaper next year to just buy them at the local farmer's market. We will see what happens.

Build a bunny...

We were up around 8am this morning. We had showers, breakfast, and were out the door around 9:45am. We had to pick up Jojo around 10am as Kim had to go to work. After picking up Jojo, we went to KOP mall to do some shopping. I needed some body cream and wanted to look at shorts and shirts at J C Penney's. Beth and Jojo went to Build A Bear and both built bunnies as you can see for today's picture. We had a great time. We then stopped at Olive Garden to have lunch. Soup and salad is always a great thing there. We then came home and went swimming. It was 100 degrees today and the pool felt nice. I came in around 4pm and those two stayed out there til 5:30pm when Kim came to get Jojo. We had dinner and then headed out again. I needed to go to Michael's and Beth needed to go to Lowe's. We then came home and watched the Phillie's play a very ugly game. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it. But at least I will get it over and move on. We also found out today that the beach vacation we were planing will be a little different. Some how Kim got her dates messed up and to Lynn took the wrong week off. So we will take Jojo down to the beach on Saturday and Kim and Lynne will come down on the following Friday morning and stay the week after we leave. That way Jojo gets 2 weeks at the beach.

Hacked...

Beth was up and at church by 8am this morning. I slept until 8:45am and then took my shower. Beth came home and we read the paper and had breakfast. DJ and the boys came by around 11am to go swimming. I changed and went swimming with them. Beth was busy printing some pictures off for me and doing some paperwork. DJ and the boys left around 1pm and we watched the Phillies game and had lunch around 2pm. We were invited to Beth's brother Jeff's house for dinner. So we left at the bottom of the 7th inning of the game and finished listing to it over there. We had a great dinner and conversation with everyone. We came home around 7pm and went swimming. We are doing a light workout everyday in the pool to also try and get in shape. We are picking up Jojo tomorrow and watching her for the day. I found out today that someone hacked my email ID and sent out some stuff on it. I have since had to change my password and hope that worked. We will see.

Picture printing...

After breakfast, Beth went out to finish trimming the shrubs in the front. I took a shower and had some errands to run. Before I left, I backed my truck up to the tall shrub and Beth got in the back and was able to trim the top of the shrub. It was a lot easier than getting the ladder out and doing it and safer. I then left and went to CVS, Target, AC Moore, and the grocery store. I was back home around 1pm and Beth was finished and taking a shower. We had lunch and I went downstairs to work on scrapbooking. I was able to work on a couple of small items, but needed to print pictures. So I started printing the pictures of Jojo's trip to Disney. Beth took Buster over around 4pm to the groomer and boy did he need it. We had dinner and Buster was ready to be picked up around 8pm. So I will spend the next couple of days working on the book for Jojo and then move to the next project. I love having my scrapbook area all organized.

Sleeping late...

We both slept until almost 9am this morning. I talked to my friend Shelly and KC and our thoughts are with you girl. We had breakfast and Beth went out to trim more shrubs. I would on the kitchen that was in need of a good mopping. I put a brisket on for dinner and Beth came in around 2pm and we had lunch. She went back out after lunch and went swimming to cool off. the temperature was not too bad today and the clouds helped. We watched the Phillies beat the Mets and Beth is go glad baseball is back on.

Working outside ...

Beth was up before me this morning and glad I got to sleep in. We had breakfast and then went outside. Beth started trimming the shrubs and I had weed pulling patrol. We make good progress and worked until 2pm. We had lunch and then went swimming. The pool felt nice and cool. I don't think I will get any tomatoes this year and most of them have the blossom rot on the bottom. I think it might have something to do with the water softener we are using, but not sure. So we will see what we get and plan for something different next year. We are on our third day of eating low carb and doing well. We are sticking with mostly meat, salad, and some fruit and we are working out in the pool everyday. I was able to finalized shore excursion with mom today. She wants to leave here first port open just in case she feels sea sick. I think she will be fine and will have a good time.

Beth was up at 7am this morning and at the hospital before 8am for her second mammogram. The did call later in the day to say what ever was there before was gone and she is good another year. I got up and took a shower and we had breakfast when Beth came home. We then had to go get diesel in the car, get a couple of parts at the pool store, went Bed Bath and Beyond for coffee, and then to the grocery store. We then came home and finally had some lunch around 3pm. Beth then went out to cut the grass and I had to go to wal-mart for vac-u-seal bags. I then put all the meat we got yesterday in bags and put them in the freezer. The vac-u-seal machine is on it last leg and will be hitting the trash this week-end, which mean I cane finally get a new one with more options. We had dinner and a little rain fell, but not enough to get anything wet. Beth and I went over the excursion tonight for the Panama cruise and I will talk to mom tomorrow about what we decided on, so she can determine what she wants to do also. I did get a call from the cancer doctor today and I will be taking the 2 shots on Aug. 1 and 2 and then have the body scan Aug 4. I will not be able to be around Rylee for that week, so I will have to see the week-end before as we are leaving for the beach Aug 6th. They say there is only a little chance Rylee could contact the radioactive iodine, but we are not taking any chances. Today's picture is of a little bunny that was hiding in the yard while Beth was cutting grass. It was so scared and did not move at all.

Hot Hot Day...

Beth was up early this morning has she had to go to the hospital for her mammogram. I got up after she left and took a shower and water the tomato plants. We got our first tomato yesterday, but it was really small. The plants seem to have some problem as all the leaves are turning brown and the tomato are not getting big. I am not sure if it is the soil or the water. Beth came home and we took the cover off the pool. It was suppose to get to 100 today and the water is getting too warm. We then left and went to the AAA store to finish paying for the cruise. we talked to Kristin about our 50th birthday plans and she gave us several ideas and books to look at. We were going to go to the movies , but had took much time to waste before it started. So we went to BJ's and did some shopping. We needed alot of meat, vegetables, and suntan lotion. It was really hot and yucky outside by noon time. We came home and had some lunch and stayed inside. Beth had to go get Buster some dog food and I finished cleaning the garage, so baby ( her car) could go back into the cooler garage. We are hoping for lower temperatures the rest of the week.

Paying for a good adjustment...

We were up and out the door by 8:45am. We had adjustments with Dr. Bill and needed them. My chicken wing was in need of an adjustment and my neck. My neck popped really well, but I paid for it the rest of the day. I had a head ache at the base of my head and aspirins did not really seem to help. This is not the first time this had happened, but it will feel really good tomorrow. We then went to the bank to trade in all of our coins. We get gave a guess as to what we thought was in the basket and I was off by 74 cents. Beth could not believe it. We then went by the AAA place to finish paying for the cruise, but they were not open. So we will go by tomorrow. I spent the rest of the day doing very little. Beth was able to catch up on her POGO games and find her desk. We have decided to go to a low carb diet to get in shape and get ready for our trips. I fixed chicken, flat iron steak, and round steak for dinner. We had veggies with it and have leftovers for tomorrow.

Swimming in the sun...

We slept until 8:30am this morning. Beth was glad to be sleeping in her own bed. She went to 10:30am mass and then came home. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee were coming over to go swimming as it was a hot sunny day. We went down to the pool and took the cover off. The water was really warm and it was hard to find a cool spot. Beth and I were swimming for about 30 minutes when they arrived. Rylee was ready go swimming and wanted to go down the slide. We had a great time swimming and the water was great. Rylee tryed to take a nap, but was only able to rest and not nap. She came back outside and went swimming some more before they left around 6pm. We ordered dinner and it arrived around 7:15pm. Beth is now checking op on her POGO games and might be there for awhile.

Beth made it home...

Beth left for home around 5:30am this morning. I got up around 7:45am and took a shower. I headed to soccer complex to watch Rylee's first soccer practice. The are called ANTS right now. There are 2 other boys in her class that are the same age as her. The first class was trying to learn some basic things. For the first class the kids did well. They practiced Red light Green light, running around cones, and popping bubbles with different part of their body. All three kids lost focus several times during the practice, but it was fun ti watch. After practice, I came home and and talked to Beth. She was making good time and would be home around 3:30pm. I had to go to CVS and to the grocery store. I wanted to make tacos for dinner and needed a few things. Beth was home at 3:30pm and was able to watch the Phillies in extra innings. I made dinner and she is unpacking now, so I cane do laundry tomorrow.

Did nothing...

I did not get out of bed until 9am this morning. I had some breakfast, took a shower, and then played on the computer. I did manage to clean our bathroom and vacuum the floors. I had some lunch and went to watch another movie. It has been a great week to catch up on movie watching. After the movie, Buster and I came upstairs and it looked like it was going to rain. About 5 minutes later is cut loose big time and the lights went out a couple of times. I had some dinner and then had to go to Target and fill the truck with gas. I am meeting Dawn, Jo, and Rylee in the morning for Rylee's soccer practice. Beth will be traveling home tomorrow and I am hoping for good weather for her.

Garage cleaning day 2....

I picked up Kyle around 9am this morning. We started on the garage, but Kyle soon lost steam and gave up. He began playing with the bubbles and the toys that go with them. He was able to clear everything off the shelves and put them in piles. I them vacuumed around the shelves and started putting things back. It was another very hot and humid day. I think the high was 96 degrees today. We worked about an hour and a half and then Kyle went swimming. I took a shower and then went out to watch Kyle. I made us some lunch, then took Kyle to his counseling session. We got checked in and Kyle headed to the back. I went out to the truck as there was alot of people there and it was hot inside. At least in the truck I could run the air. We left there and I took Kyle home. He forget his band stuff when I picked him up this morning. We then came home and watched another movie. I fixed us dinner and we headed off to school for his band practice. I knew where I was going, but Kyle though he had a faster way to get there. He took us so far out of the way, he was a little late in getting to school. My way would have been faster, so I will not listen to him again. I had to spray all the tomato plants tonight as alot of the tomatoes were getting the bottom rot. So let's hope the spraying helps. Beth called several times today and I think she is ready to come home. She will start home on Saturday and should be home by dinner time.

Garage cleaning...

I was up around 8am this morning. I had an appointment with Dr. Bill at 9am and really needed it. After the adjustment, I went to pick up Kyle. We came home and started cleaning the garage. Kyle was not much help and we only worked for a couple of hours. It was very hot and humid out, so I decided it was time to stop for the day. We came inside and I changed and we to go get some lunch. We then watched a couple of movies and I took Kyle over to his girlfriend's house. I came home and had some dinner and talked to Beth for a little while. I went back out to the garage and worked a couple more hours. I am hoping to make a big dent in it tomorrow, but will only be working a 1/2 day on it as Kyle had counseling and band practice.

Beth in North Carolina...

Beth was up and gone by 8am this morning. I took a shower, had breakfast, and began a major cleaning spree. The mudroom was the first room then the kitchen. I talked to Beth around 10am as I was to watch the Rachel Ray show and report back on the bar story they did. I then tried to call at 11:30am but got no answer. I continued try every 20 minutes until I finally reached her around 1:30pm. I was getting a little worried, but just thought the mountains had something to do with the reception. She was just stopping for lunch and getting ready to call me. We think her phone was in the sun and got too hot and shut off. So we set specific times to check in the rest of the trip. The pool guys came to fix the leak in the bromine tank and I did not know they were here until they left. Beth made it to North Carolina around 6pm, so I could stop worrying about her. The reception down there is really crappy, so she has to find the one stop she can call and get reception. I will see Dr. Bill in the morning and then pick up Kyle. We are going to work on cleaning out the garage the next couple of days. Buster is still really sore today with his legs. He could hardly move yesterday, but today is better. He is still getting aspirin every 4 hours and should be good to go tomorrow.

Monday, July 4, 2011

Relaxing Day...

We slept until 9:30am this morning and boy did it feel good. We decided to skip breakfast and have an early lunch of left over hotdogs and hamburgers. We then went swimming for a couple of hours. The water was still very warm on top and cool about a foot down. The sun was shinning bright, so sunscreen was a must. We emptied the cooler and took the recycle to the trash. We took showers and then around 6pm we went to the NORCO carnival. It did not take long to walk around the area and then we went to dinner. The restaurant was very empty and we found lots of space at the bar. The Phillies game was on and the food was great. I got the laundry all done and need wait for Beth to pack, so I cane put the rest of the clothes away. She is planning on leaving around 7:30am in the morning. Since she is going by herself, I will be calling every couple of hours to check on her. My main goal for the week is to clean the garage and find out what is really in there.

Party Day...

We were up by 8:30am this morning. I had to make the sliders and run to the grocery store for more buns. Beth was cleaning the pool area and then took a shower. She then went to go get ice for the cooler. We just finished loading the cooler when Dawn, Jo, and Rylee arrived. About 10 minutes later, DJ, Maggie, the boys, and a friend of Kyles arrived. We had a great time swimming and the slide was a hit. Payton is big enough now to walk on the bottom of the pool and he was so excited. Rylee loved the slide and enjoyed going down it, at least the 2 feet she went down. I started dinner around 4;30pm. Gayle and Angie stopped by on their way back from the shore. We had hotdogs, sliders, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, and cookies. We had a great time swimming, visiting, and eating. The day started out cloudy, but turned sunny and warm. I feel a sunburn will show int he morning.

Prep before party...

Beth got up way before me this morning. I finally rolled out of bed around 8:30am. We had breakfast and Beth started cutting the grass. I went to Target and then to the grocery store. Ryan was having his birthday party today and invited us to it, so we needed to get him a present. after grocery shopping I came home and Beth was about finished with the yard work. I made us lunch and we watched the Phillies beat the blue jays. I made potato salad for the party tomorrow and got all the dinner out. Beth went to %:30pm mass and I fixed dinner. We had smoked sausage and pergoies for dinner. We are having our July 4ht party tomorrow instead of Monday. I am hoping the rain holds off until after the party. The pool is warm and ready for swimming.

Bed moving...

We got up around 8am this morning. we took showers and headed out to Beth parent's house. We had to wrap up the wild turkey decanters and pictures for Beth to take to her brother. We then loaded up 2 twin beds and took them over to DJ, as Kyle and Payton needed new beds. We then came home around 2pm and had some lunch. After we watched the Phillies win, Beth cut the back yard and I made dinner. Beth wants to get up early and cut the rest of the yard. I need to go to the grocery store and get food for the Sunday party.
