Happy Halloween

We both slept in til 10am this morning. We took showers and both had several things to do today. We found out last night that Dawn and Jo were getting the boys for an overnight visit on Halloween and would be able to take them trick or treating. We had volunteered to take over some toys for them since they did not have any at their house any more. I got a few together and Beth ran them over to their house. I finished putting out the pumpkins that we carved last night and a few other Halloween touches. Our yard looks really good this year. It began to rain early evening, which is never a good sign for trick or treats. Kim and Lynne brought Jojo over around 6pm. DJ and Maggie came over about 7:30pm and Dawn and Jo brought the boys over around 8pm. We only had 3 older kids come by in the rain. Oh well it leaves more candy for Beth. The Phillies game started late because of the rain so it will be another late night. We have to get up early tomorrow as we are going to the Eagles game at 1pm and have to leave the house at 10:30am. Today's picture is of the our yard decorations. Kinda cool...

Pumpkin Carving..

Sorry this did not get posted until late. We went to Dawn and Jo's house for pumpkin carving. We each took 2 pumpkins for carving. There were about 15 or so people there carving pumpkins. We had pizza, cake, and lot of other munchies to help us through the carving process. All the pumpkins turned out great. I think as a whole we are all getting better each year. We got home around 1am. We both heard a loud banging noise when we got home. It sounded like it was coming from the house in the woods south of us. Of course no one lives there so we both got the chills just thinking about what it could be and being Halloween eve did not help either. Today's picture is all the pumpkins that were carved.

Another late night...

We were up late again last night watching the Phillies. I worked out on the arch trainer for 15 minutes again this morning. We had breakfast and then went to go look for pumpkins. The place we usually go to had no pumpkins to speak of, so it was off to the next place. We found the perfect size and pickuped up 5 of them. I am hoping my hands hold out on carving two of them. Beth spent the rest of the afternoon scooping the stuff out of them and making the inside front wall thin. What a job. I worked on fixing the leak in the bathroom water supply line. We noticed it was leaking a couple of days ago and just shut the water off to it. I took it apart and after making several trip to Lowe's, found out the piece that was leaking has to be made. So I bought the part for it, but decided to see if I could get the other piece to stop leaking first. I found some plumber's grease at Lowe's that I thought might work. So I put the pieces back together and added some plumber's grease to each piece and tighten it down as far as I could. And to my surprise, no more leaking. So we will hope and pray it holds. We are watching game 2 of the series and the score is tied 1-1. We are hoping for another victory to bring the series back home with a 2 game lead. Today's picture is of our pumpkin ghost in the front yard.

Go Phillies...

Not much today. I am so far behind on scrap booking that I spent more of the day doing that. Beth is still working on her computer and about has it completed. Beth had to go to her mom's for computer issues and I went to the gym with DJ. It was a little rough since I had not been to a gym in 6 months but things will get better. We had a late dinner and are now watching the first game of the world series. The Phillies are up 2 to nothing and we are hoping for a big win tonight. Today's picture is of Beth and one of the pumpkins she carved last year. We are going to get pumpkins tomorrow for the Friday night carving.

Yea Eagles...

We were up late last night watching the Eagles beat the Redskins. We are still worried about the offensive line but a win is a win. We both got up 9am. I went down to work out and then we had breakfast. I had to start on the laundry as it was flowing over the top of the hamper. Beth decided to clean up her computer hard drive. I knew that was my key to leave and go do some shopping. So off I went to Lowe's, Target, and then to the grocery store. I was back home about 3pm. Beth was still working on the computer but had continued the laundry process so I had very little to finish when I got home. It was a rainy cold icky day. I fixed Steak Diana for dinner and it was great. No baseball or football on tonight, but the world series starts tomorrow. Go Phillies. Today's picture is of some witches someone had decorated their yard with in P-town. Only a few more days to Halloween.

Nothing much to say

Today's post is going to be short. Jeanette & I went to the chiropractor and then played with our Halloween decorations. I then went to Sam's Club and to my parents house, while Jeanette took Kyle to the movies to see Zombieville. From what I heard, I'm glad I didn't go with them. After we were both home, I cut the back yard grass. And then we had leftovers for dinner and got ourselves ready for some football. The Eagles beat the Redskins, but our offensive line worries me to no end. There isn't going to be any easy games this year. Today's picture is of a tree not far from our house.

What a football day...

We were up early this morning. We wanted to go to the new Wegman's grocery store. Can I just say Oh My God. First it is huge and had a large variety of everything. They have large bakery and we sampled some apple cider bread. We then moved on to the take out food area. They have some many different entree' and side dishes to choose from. We them looked in the beer area. The beer was sorted by region and you could buy individual bottles. Beth thinks we need to get a couple of other people and each by a 6 pack and have a tasting party. The meat department is to die for. We selected a couple of steak filet's so I can make steak Diana this week. Beth was so happy to see the cheese department and selected a few small samples. I took us about an 1 1/2 hours to completed the whole store. We headed over to the Petsmart store. We found they have a pet hotel in the store and we took a tour of it. It is a really nice set up for pets. They even have a suite for dogs that has a TV in it and they have a phone the owners can call on and talk to their dogs. What a set up. We then came home and finally had breakfast around 11:30am. Kickoff was at 1pm. Beth's fantasy team did not do well in the beginning, but was able to come through in the end. She is currently up by 6 points and has one player tonight. Her opponent has one player tomorrow, so it will be close. Then she took Miami to lose in the loser's pool. Miami was up by 21 points, but did manage to lose it in the last minutes of the game. So things have turned out pretty good for her so far. The picture is of Buster on the downstairs sofa, he so doesn't care about football.

Rainy Fall Day..

I was up at the crack of dawn this morning. Could not sleep for some reason. Beth on the other hand slept until 9:45am. It was rainy gloomy day. I watched the pilot program of White Collar which did not go off until noon. I then took a shower and began my Saturday routine of watching college football. Beth was on the phone most of the afternoon talking to Disney about our dinner reservations. I think we are finally all set for the January trip. Beth went to evening mass and then stopped and got dinner. The rain has stopped, so I am off to the hot tub and to bed. Hopefully I can sleep better tonight. Today's picture is of a ceramic frog outside one of the stores in P-town. I wanted to bring it home but we had no room and I was afraid to ask how much it cost. So a picture will have to do

Halloween decorations.

I was up at 7:30am and down stairs to work out. I set the arc trainer for 15 minutes this morning. It was a little tough, so I think I will keep it here for a week or so. Beth was up at 9am and we had breakfast. We then headed to the garage to get the Halloween decoration out of the attic. The attic was a mess with all the dropping from having the roof redone. I vacuumed a bit and decided to do the rest later. Beth had to leave to go to Dawn's to help her trim their bushes. I began putting out the decorations. The weather started to turn winded and the clouds rolled in. I was outside for about 4 hours and gave up, which was a good thing as it started to rain. Beth and Dawn showed up about 3pm. They went downstairs to replace the screen in our door and dawn's door. They were able to get ours done, but found the roll of screen we had was the wrong size. So off to Lowe's they went to get a roll of screen. About 45 minutes later, the door opened and it was Jo. She had just talked to them and they were just checking out. I have to ask myself 'How long does it take to pick up a roll of screen' , but then I thought it is Beth and Dawn. Jo said they had to get plexi glass for their door to keep the dog from scratching it and it all made sense then. We order dinner from the italian place down the street. By now it was really raining and the wind was blowing hard. We had a great time eating and talking over dinner. Guess there will be no hot tub tonight and boy could I use it. Today's picture is of our Japanese maple tree and it's fall leaves. Nice color..

Me time...

Today was alone time for me. I working on the arc trainer again for 10 minutes. It felt good to get back to an exercise routine. I am hoping to start to the gym with DJ on Monday. After breakfast, I headed to Exton to shop at A. C. Moore, MoDell's, and then on to Sam's club. Beth had an MRI at 11:15am to check on the cyst that she has had for years. A. C. Moore had scrapbook stickers and paper on sale and it is hard to pass that up. Since the Phillies won last night and are National League champs, I stopped by MoDell's to check out the t-shirts they had. I got Beth and myself one. We are hoping to buy world series champion shirts. My last stop was to Sam's club. We needed the basics, paper towels, Kleenex, and toilet paper. I got home about 2pm and was starving. I had lunch and chatted with Beth a while. She had to leave at 4pm. She was taking her mom to dinner then to a show in Reading for her birthday. Happy Birthday Bernie!!! So I picked up ribs for dinner and am now watching college football. What a great evening. I love the colors the trees are turning right now as seen in today's picture.

Productive day...

We were up at 7:30am this morning. I went downstairs to see how my foot felt using the arc trainer. I did 10 minutes on it and things seemed good. I am hoping to get back into a routine and work up to 30 minutes a morning. After that, I went outside to empty the 5 bags of dirt on the plants by the mailbox. I soon realized that those 5 bags did not even make a dent. So off I went to get a truck load of dirt. Beth started working on the gate for the back patio. We are tired of worrying about Buster getting out during parties, so we are putting up a small fence. I unloaded the dirt and boy is that better. I am hoping all my hard work will pay off and plants will grow there. We get so much salt from the road there I am hoping the wall will stop some of the run off and we can have flowers there. Only spring will tell. Beth finished the fence and it looks nice as you can see from today's photo. We took showers and had to go pick up the car. Beth had some blood work done and then headed home. We are now waiting for the Phillie to play and hoping for a game 5 win to win the National league.

Visit to the Dentist...

I had an appointment with the dentist at 10:45 this morning. I hate going to the dentist and my last check up was not good. So I changed the way I brushed my teeth, when I brush, and started using Plax in hope of reducing the pockets. I was hoping for much improved results. To my surprise and my dentist's, things were much improved. My pockets size, with the exception of one spot had all reduced and she was please. I left the dentist feeling very happy for a change. We then went to Ace to see about getting some more fencing. After lunch, Beth began cutting the front yard and is hoping this is the last time this year. I had to leave around 2:45 to pick Kyle up from school and take him to the doctor. He can only get his meds for two months and has to go back for a review each time. It does not take long and we were out by 4:15. I dropped him off at home and then headed back to the house. Beth was just finishing the yard. There is no baseball game on tonight, but look forward to tomorrow night and hope the Phillie can win the division. They pulled one out of the fire last night for a 3-1 game lead. Today's picture is of the bear in front of the purple feather in P-town. It is a gourmet chocolate shop and has great desserts. I love the bear.

Busy Day...

We had a appointment to see Dr. Bill at am this morning. My knee was killing me and was so glad to see him. We talked a little bit about my foot and he took a look at it. He said their was a little bone out of place and did an adjustment on it and wants to see me again next week. I sure hope this works cause I am getting tired of it hurting all the time. We left there and had to stop at Ace Hardware and check on the fence they were looking at for us. They could not get in any more, but said Lowe's carried it. So it was off to Lowe's we went. And sure enough they had it. We got all the section they had, but will be a few short. Not to worry there are plenty of other stores. We want to put it up around the back patio so we don't have to worry about someone letting Buster out at parties. We can also take it down when Beth has to cut the grass. We had to take the car in for service. And of course it would not start again this morning. The guy seems to think it is the battery but who knows. I had a hair appointment this evening and was due for a cut and color. We are watching the Phillie game and they are up by 2 run hoping to take a 3-1 lead. Today's picture is on of the trees in P-town that was just turn colors.

Crazy Football day..

We slept in until 9am and the only reason we were up then was Buster had a groomer appointment at 10am. We dropped him off and had a late breakfast at the diner. We then came home and Beth began to vacuum and I put Buster's bedding in the wash. I had to run to the store and CVS and was back home before Kickoff at 1pm. I put a pot of stew on for dinner. I was able to get 5 loads of laundry done and only have a couple more for tomorrow. We watched the Chiefs beat the Redskins and were glad to see the Chiefs get a win. We were hoping for a Eagles really big win but were left with a really big lose. They did not look got at all today. The good out come was the 10 people were dropped from the loser pool that Beth is still in. I think with the 2 big upsets today there were 17 people dropped and only 38 left. We started with 140 so she is doing good. We are watching the Phillie beat up the Dodges right now and are hoping they hold the lead. It was windy and cold here today, but no rain. We are so glad we came home yesterday instead of today with the snow they got in Massachusetts. Today picture is of a little crab we found when walking on the beach.

Home again..

We got up at 5:30am this morning and were on the road home by 7am. We ran into a little rain, but for the most part it was an easy ride home. We can say that cause we did not have to drive. We both took naps in the back and let Dawn do all the driving. It took us a little over 7 hours to get home. We unloaded the car and greeted Buster as he oh so missed us. Beth went to mass tonight and pickup up dinner on the way home. I unloaded the dirty clothes and found I have a big pile of laundry to do. I hate fall/winter, you have so many more clothes in the laundry and what used to be 3 loads a week is now 5. It was cold and rainy at home and we found we left the windows open in our bedroom when we left. Boy was it cold in our room, but hopefully will heat up before bed. Today's picture is of a pond with ken and barbie dolls all around it. What more would you expect in gay town...

Last Day in P-Town...

Today was our last full day in P-town. We woke up to rain, wind, and cold weather. Good thing we have a fire place in our room as it was chilly climbing out from under the covers. We had breakfast in the room as we did not want to go out in the rain. I did a little bit of packing just to get it out of the way. Beth and I went across the street and had lunch. I had a great burger and Beth had pulled pork, oh wait that was yesterday. Today we all walked down to Bayside Betsy's for lunch, I had a pear salad and Beth had a chicken sausage wrap. She thought it was chicken & sausage, but it was sausage made from chicken. We walked back to our rooms in the rain. Beth agreed to go with me to a book signing and reading. I was so excited, but I don't think she really heard the part about a reading. She was really suprised when the reading started. But I was proud of her for sticking around, but I think I owe her one. We had tickets to Vicki Shaw at 5pm. She is a very funny comic and our stomachs ached from laughing so much. After the show, we came back to the room and watched the Phillies lose and then headed out for dinner. We all had steaks and it was the best meal we have had all week. We are now finishing the packing and heading off to bed. We will try and be on the road at 7am. We had a great time and enjoying the relaxing week with Dawn and Jo. Today's picture is of a boat we thought would sink this morning but made it through

Chilly Day..

Last night right below our room they had a party and we found out that we could hear and feel the base in the music really well. Did not really bother me as I took a sleeping pill and was out in about 30 minutes. Beth said it took her a while to get to sleep. We ended up sleeping in late, but was no big deal. Beth took a shower and then ran out to the bakery to pick up breakfast. We ate breakfast in the room and finally went out about 11am. We hit a couple of stores that were finally opened and found a couple of items. We then hit the book store again and I am now stocked up on books. The weather was chilly and turn colder as the day went by. We came back to the room and took a nap. We headed out about 5pm to see a comic at 5:30pm. The rain had started to fall and the temperature was cold. We had to stand in the rain for awhile as they were running behind on the show before us. She finished about 6:45 and we hurry down the street to see Kate Clinton at 7pm. She is a very funny political comic and was great. We headed back to the room a little after 8pm and are now watching the Phillies. The rain is still falling and will be all day tomorrow. Good thing we have some board games for tomorrow. Today's picture I think needs no explanation. Who does not wish for a cone this big sometimes.

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

We had breakfast a little late this morning. but no big deal as most things are not even open til 11am. We ate at the Art House. Beth and I had meat lover omelet sandwich. It sure was good. We then headed back to do some shopping at some places that were not open yesterday. It was sunny today so we were able to take a few more pictures. We were going to see one of the movies being shown at the Art hose but it was sold out and the next showing is not until Saturday, but we will be on our way home then. So we came back to the room to rest and to determine what we wanted to see tonight. I went to an authors book signing around 3:30pm. I had a great time and came home with 8 new books to read and have a more I need to get. We went to see Sandra Valls at 6pm. She is a comic that we saw last time we were here but were not impressed with her comic routine. We went to dinner at Bubala's. Another bust. Dawn and Beth had burgers and they were good, but Jo had fish that still had the skin and tail on it. Not very appetizing. I had a Thie chicken salad and it had no flavor at all and they did not even have ranch dressing. When then went to the 8:20pm showing of a very funny comic named Poppy Champlin. We are back in the room and so ready for bed. Today's picture is one of the sail boats we saw out our window this afternoon.

Ship Wrecked..

It was rainy this morning when we headed out for breakfast. We tried several places but most of them were closed, so we headed to the Postoffice. We knew they had a great lunch menu, but had never had breakfast there. I had potato skins with eggs, cheese, and ham in them. They were great. Beth and Jo had eggs, potatoes, and toast. Dawn had pancakes. After breakfast, the rain had stopped so we strolled by the shops north of the center of town. Most of them were still closed, but it was nice to window shop. We headed back to the room and just hung out the rest of the afternoon. Beth made some dinner reservation for our January trip to Disney world. We headed out for dinner around 4pm, since we did not have lunch. The place we wanted to eat did not open til 5pm, so we just walked around for a while. We were seated for dinner a little before 5pm. Dawn ordered a burger, she could eat them all the time, Jo and Beth had steak, and I had stuffed pork tenderloin. The food was excellent. After dinner, the wind had picked up and it was really cold out. We decided to stay in tonight and just hang. Today's picture is of two ships that were stuck in the sand as low tide came in.

Day 2 in P-Town..

Jo and I got up early this morning and headed to a meeting on tax information and investing for gay couples. It was held at an over 55 apartment community. They served us free breakfast of eggs, french toast, and link sausage. It was very good. They started the meeting at 9:30 and it ended around 11:30. We then took a tour of the complex. They have 2 bedroom, 1100 sq. ft, for $2200 per month and a lease buy in of $400,000. Don't think we will be moving here any time soon. We left Dawn and Beth in charge of getting us moved to the different and bigger rooms. They found out our rooms will not be available until after 1pm, so they went walking the streets with a bag of M&M's. They came to meet us on our walk back. Since we could not get in the room yet, we went for lunch. Dawn and Jo had pizza and Beth and I had sandwiches. After lunch, we headed back to the rooms. We were able to move our stuff around the corner to our new bigger rooms. We finally unpacked and took it easy the rest of the day. We had sandwiches in the room this evening and then headed out to see Mimi Gonzales. She is a wonderful and very funny comic. We then saw The Women of Motown. They are four women that sing Motown songs. We had a great time. After the show, we headed down to the Art House for hot chocolate. We are now watching the Phillies try to win game 4. Today's picture is the view out our window. It is a great view of the inlet.

Provincetown Day 1 ...

We had breakfast at the Portuguese Bakery this morning. Beth and I had ham and cheese croissants and Dawn and Jo omelets. They were very good. After that were walked along the water and enjoyed the sites. It was a nice sunny day and the temperature was in the low 60's but we were able to wear shorts. We had lunch at Bayside Betsy's. We have eaten there before and they have really good food. After lunch, it was time to find a place to watch football. It was touch since being in New England and with the red sox in the baseball playoff, most place had baseball instead of football on. But we did find a place and was able to watch the Giant vs Raiders. No Eagles but we really did not expect to see them. After the early game was over, we headed back to the room to watch the 4pm game and find a place for dinner. We decided on a place called the Way Out There. Boy were we disappointed. The food was pricey and had no favor. After dinner, we were just going to walk around, but ended up going to see Jessica Kirson. She is a comedian featured on the Jay Leno show and had a special on LOGO. Oh my god, she is so funny. After watching her show we all had stomach aches from laughing so hard. We are now flipping between the Phillies and the football game. Jo and I are going to some financial planning meeting in the morning and are leaving Dawn and Beth in charge of getting us moved to our new room. Wish us luck.

We made it ...

We were up at 5am this morning. We had a few things to do before we left, we left our house about 6:10am. We left Dawn and Jo's at 7am. The drive was different from the last time time we drove here. The GPS took us thought the worst part of New York. Boy did we drive fast through there. We made it here around 2:45pm and were able to check into our room. We only have this room til Monday and then move to a bigger room. So no unpacking right now. We headed to the Post Office Cafe for dinner. They have really good food. We walked around for a while and then got tickets to see Karen Williams. She is a black comic and had a great show. We then walked around a while and then came back to the room to watch a little college football. We are looking at the book to see who else we want to see and do the rest of the week. We are hoping to go whale watching one day.

Ready to go...

Well Beth did finish packing last night. I was so proud of her. Beth decided to tackle trimming the bushes out back today. It was not a pretty site. When I left, to go run last minute errands, the bushes were about 5 feet high and 3 feet around. Well when I returned home the bushes were down to only a few inches out of the ground. Guess they lost the battle. Beth did say that when she was taking the limbs to the woods, a snake was racing her to see who could make it to the woods first. She said as soon as she saw it, she screamed and ran the other way. Guess the snake won the race. It was raining today, so no cutting of the yard was done. I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and packing. We had Maggie and the boys over for pizza tonight. It was good to see them before we leave. Everything is ready for the trip tomorrow. We will get up at 5am and head to Dawn and Jo's about 6:15 am hoping to be on the road by 7am. It is about an 8 hour drive and Dawn only allows Pee and flee breaks. No messing around at the rest stops. LOL We are so excited to be going to P town and have a fun filled week planned. Today's picture says it all.

One more day...

After breakfast, we had some errands to run and ended up at McDonald's for lunch. This week was the start of the monopoly game pieces. The car would not start again this morning. Beth made appointment for service and to get it looked at AGAIN. I worked on and finished packing for P town. Beth promises she will have hers done before she goes to bed. I filled all the bird feeders and pulled the weeds in the bird area out front. We headed to the liquor store after dinner to get the Bailey's Irish Cream for the trip. We are so looking forward to leaving for P-town and only have one more day to wait. Today's picture is of Aunt Beth and Jojo painting a picture.

Shrub cutting

After breakfast, Beth went outside to finishing trimming the front shrubs. I pulled my truck around to the front so she could stand in the back and reach most of the top. She used a ladder to trim the remaining bit. Boy do they sure look nice and were in need of a cut. I finished the laundry and most of the house cleaning. I was able put up the Halloween and Thanksgiving bears on the shelf. Our back yard is so bare now with everything put away for the winter. We will get the Halloween decorations out after we come back from P-town. I have most of my clothes ready to go and Beth will complete (start) hers tomorrow. Today's picture is of the a punk rock club in seattle. Not some place I would visit but looks interesting.

Tiki Bar vs Winter

Today had absolutely beautiful weather, so after we had breakfast around 9:30, we went outside and did some fall clean up. Jeanette worked on the flower beds by the driveway and by the mailbox. She pulled all of the annuals out and thinned out the hosta (with a pick ax, I might add). I kept busy by trimming the shrubs along the front walkway, around the light post and the lonely boxwood by our wrought iron flag pole. I still have more to do, but the weather is changing and I will have to take advantage when it is nice out, even if it is a little cooler.

We had decided to store the tiki bar in the shed for the winter, so a little rearranging was in order again. Jeanette put all the table umbrellas in the covers and got them stowed away for the winter. Now even though the bar is on wheels, we have to lift it into the truck bed and drive it from the pool area to the shed. It isn't as bad as it sounds, but I'm really glad I put the double door gate at the bottom of the fence so we can get a truck into the pool area. So what if I have to move the snow blower every time I need to cut the grass, maybe 8 more times, the tiki bar is safe from winter!

Avenue Q

We both had chiropractor appointment this morning at 9am. After that we stopped by Ace hardware to look at some fencing. They did not have what we were looking for so we came home. Beth had a doctor appointment at 10:30am. She had a cyst that needs to be looked at and has an ultra scan tomorrow. Nothing to worry about. Beth left around 2pm to to go get gas, visit her mom, and pick up Dawn. We have tickets for Avenue Q. The best way to describe them is a x rated version of the Muppets on Sesame Street. It was a great show and we had a good time. We are now watching the last of the Packer Viking game. Sorry no picture tonight.

Football Sunday

We love football Sundays! We love it even more now that we have found the NFL's Red Zone Channel, it shows every scoring drive in every game that is played on Sunday afternoon! It is awesome to see each game, in little snips, instead of being stuck watching whatever game the TV gods decide that I should watch. So as you can imagine we watched football all day and are now in the process of watching the evening game. That is all we did. Jeanette made chili yesterday for today, that way cooking didn't interfere with the games. Today's picture is of the upper level of Lincoln Financial Field home of my Philadelphia Eagles. The seats are colored to make the eagle on both sides of the field, you can only see it when the stadium is empty or I guess from the air.

Grass cutting saturday...

I had to go shopping for a new rug for the back door this morning. I was tired of the other one always getting stuck in the vacuum cleaner, so I threw it away. So off to Bed Bath and Beyond I went. Plus I had a coupon which is always good. The one I loved to get was not machine washable and I was not paying 50 bucks for it, so I got the second best one. DJ and Maggie stopped by to drop off the truck. After they left it was time for college football to begin. Beth began cutting the front yard and then cut the back yard. She was one tired puppy. We watched the Phillies lose again but they were still able to get home field advantage for the first round of the NLDS. Today's picture is a reflection of where we will be this time next week. We are all so looking forward to the trip.

Having a baby...

Beth had a hair appointment at 10am and I had a foot doctor appointment at 11am this morning. Beth went to leave a little before 10 and found the car would not start again. So she had to take the jeep. I had lent my truck to DJ and Maggie since their car was getting worked on, so we were down to 2 cars and one had a dead battery. I told her would work on it and she would try to be home in time to take me. So I put the charger on it and let it set for about 15 minutes and then but it on super high and it started. I let it run for about 20 minutes the took a trip around the neighborhood. Beth was home about 10:30am which was a super fast time for her to get her hair cut. Since the car was working again, I headed to the foot doctor. We talked about the left foot first since it was pretty straight forward and decided to get another shot in the heal. Then we moved on to the right foot. I explained to her the pain free day of yesterday and today and that I had changed shoes and insoles. She had me step into each insole again to determine the difference. We determined that my right foot has a ridge on the outside of it and the insole also has a ridge. This caused the outside of my foot to turn upward and strain the foot tendon. So we are sending it back to the insole company for an adjust. But right now 2 pain free days since March is a great sign. We found out tonight that Dawn and Jo are pregnant. The pee on a stick came back positive. We are all so happy and hoping for the best. More on this to come later. Today's picture was taken from the top of the Pilgrim's Monument in Provincetown Mass. in 2006. It took me about 45 minutes to climb to the top, Jeanette stayed on the ground. The view is great from the top, but I don't have to climb it again any time soon.

Pool closing...

I did not sleep well at all last night. The changing of the season has us both with sinus and allergy symptoms. And of course we are going to P-town next Saturday and hoping we get rid of them soon. We had breakfast and called Dawn to tell her we were running behind. We still had to go to Lowe's and pick up 8 2 x 8 sheets of plywood. We were putting them in the attic above the garage for them for more storage space. It was one of the easier project we have done. It only took about an 1 and half to complete it. When we came home the pool fairies were here closing the pool. The area around the pool looks so bare now and the pool has it's winter cover. We finally had to turn the heat on today. It was 67 in the house and a little cool. Today's picture is of the world series trophy that Philles won last year and are hoping to do again this year.
