New Year's Eve..

Beth was up around 7am this morning. She had to be at her dad's house to take him to breakfast at 8:30am. I slept until 8:30am and then took a shower. Jo called around 9:30am to see if I wanted to spend some time with Rylee. She was taking Dawn to the Urgent Care. She has been sick since Christmas and was not getting any better. She had seen the doctor already and got some good drugs, but they just were not working. So I headed over to their house and was meet by a smiling Rylee. I was so glad to see her. Dawn and Jo left and Rylee and I played with her toys she got for Christmas. I fed her lunch and put her down for a nap. She was so funny. She was talking to herself and making all kinds of sounds. She finally fell asleep around 12:45pm. Dawn and Jo came home around 2:30pm. Dawn now has pneumonia and got some drugs in an IV to help her get better. Beth stopped by after she was done at her dad's house for a visit. Rylee finally got up around 4pm. Beth got her baby time and we headed home. I stopped by the store first as I did not know if they would be open tomorrow. I got home around 5:30pm and was just freezing. I could not get warm, so I sat in the chair with a blanket on and turned the heater on. I think I fell asleep and woke up around 6:45pm. I finally got warm , but was starving. So we have no plans for New Year's Eve except to get some sleep and hope the new year is better than last year. So Happy New Year to you and I hope the new year is good to you.

Busy Day..

We were up around 8am this morning. Beth took a shower and headed to her dad's house. I started laundry as I had 6 loads to do. I then took a shower and went to Target and the grocery store. We have been hit with mice this year more than normal and need to get some traps out. The got into my Christmas sock and ate my carmels. BASTARDS...they were my favorite. I had to leave around 1:45pm to get my hair cut and colored. It was way past due. But first I had to scrape all the snow off the truck. It did not take long and with the sun out it melted pretty fast. Beth came home around 5pm and we had a quick dinner, then headed over to do Christmas with Jojo. She loved all her gifts and had a princess type Christmas. We are now ready for bed as both of us had sore throats today, but I think it was just from the plane ride and dry air.

We are home...

Mom and Ken dropped us off at the airport around 8:45am this morning. We had no real wait for checking bags and no real wait for security and were at our gate by 9:10am. We grabbed some lunch and boarded the plane around 10:50am. We were a little late taking off and it was a full flight. We had turbulence all the way up to 37,00o feet and then it smoothed out. We landed on time and had a good tail wind to ride home. We collected our bags and headed to the bus to take us to the parking lot. We were glad to see no snow on the car or on the roads. We got home around 8pm and we opened out presents. Buster was so happy to see us. We had a great time visiting Mom and Ken and want to thank them for everything and especially for our gifts. It is nice to be home and sleep in our own bed.

Bingo Day...

We were up around 8am this morning. We had breakfast and then headed to bingo. We got there around 10:30am and set up. We then went to play the slots until it was time for bingo. I am not a slots player so after losing my 5 bucks, I went back in and played with my DS. Everyone else came back around noon and we ordered lunch. Bingo started around 12:30om. We used the machines which do everything for you except call out bingo. Mom had her machine and had additional cards. Ken won 2 games and the rest of us came close, but did not win. We left around 3:30pm and had a great time. We came home and I began packing. Beth and I had Chipotle and mom and ken had Culvert's. We are now watching the Eagles and hoping for a win. We will leave for the airport around 8am tomorrow and hope we take off on time.

Packing...

We were up around 8am this morning. We had showers and breakfast, then headed out the door. We went to Hobby Lobby. I got a gift card for Christmas and looked forward to using it. They had all their scrapbook stickers and paper for 50% off. So after looking at everything scrap booking and loading the cart, I headed for the check out. I think I did very well and only had to us $40 of my own money. We then went to Barnes and Noble. I wanted to get a screen scratch protector for Ken's ereader. We then went to the post office to turn in mom's application for a pass port. But they only take appointments, so she made one for Jan. 5th. We still have plenty of time before we go, so she is good. We then went to the store and then to lunch at Souper Salad. After lunch, we came home and everyone took a nap. Well Beth played her DS game and I napped. I then had to pack a couple of boxes to ship home as our presents would not fit in the suitcases. So we went to the UPS store and then on to game stop. Mom found a couple games and I found one. We then came home and fixed dinner of chicken and perogies. Mom had only had them boiled and I could see why she did not like them. I fried them in caramelized onions and they were really good. We are now watching football. Again it is strange for the game to come on at 6:20pm. We are going to bingo tomorrow, so it will be a busy day and our last full day in AZ.

Miss the NFL Red Zone...

We were up around 8am this morning. Ken, Beth, and I all had pie for breakfast. Mom had a sausage cheese biscuit. In AZ, the football game came on at 11am. It is really strange watching it that early. Mom does not have the red zone, so we watched the 49er and rams game. We flipped to the bears and jets game. We then watched the giants get their butts beat by the packers. It was a good game. I missed a lot of the second half has I was helping mom and Ken. They both got ereaders for Christmas and I had to help them set them up. Mom is not really sure she will like it as she does not read a lot, but Ken does. So I was bouncing back and forth on each one of theirs. We had leftovers for dinner and they were better the second time. After dinner, Beth and I went to Target. Mom wanted some Christmas bows and cards and we got some cards. Since the Eagles game was moved to Tuesday night, we are now able to see a college bowl game. So some football is better than no football. We have a very busy day tomorrow. We have to go to AAA, Hobby Lobby, and Barnes and Noble. It will be our last day of shopping as we are going to play bingo on Tuesday. Time has sure gone by fast and I will hate going home, but know we have to.

Merry Christmas...

We were up at 7am this morning. I fixed breakfast of hash browns, sausage, and eggs casserole. We then took showers and Lee and Cindy arrived. We had breakfast and then began opening our presents. The cats had a great time playing in the wrapping paper. I got lots of lock 'n' locks, which were much needed. Beth got lots of games for the Wii. We got lots of present and had a great time. It was fun being with my family for Christmas. Mom always gives us scratcher tickets and this year I won $33, but mom was the winner with a whopping $67. After presents, I began making the salads for dinner and the delved eggs. Ken put the deep fried turkey on and mom put the sides in the oven. We ate dinner around 3pm and everything was so good. We cleared the table and then just relaxed. The football game came on at 5:30pm. We were so glad to see the cowboys lose and mom was glad the cardinals won. It was nice to watch the whole game and then do things besides go to bed afterwards. It was a great day with family, food, and football. Merry Christmas to everyone and hope Santa was good to you also.

Christmas Eve...

Today was another busy day. After breakfast, Beth and I went to CVS to print some pictures. We got my mom 3 cat ornaments and had Tom, Jerry, and Pumpkin's picture put in them. Mom was so happy and loved them. Beth then made a cherry and a pecan pie. They look really good and can't wait to eat them tomorrow. We then had lunch and I had to install a new door lock and handle on the front door. I think mom's list is getting shorter and I love helping out. Mom made potato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. Beth had tomato soup. We then went to Glendale to look at the lights they have. There are really pretty, but kinda strange seeing palm trees with Christmas lights. We then drove around looking at some houses that were really decorated for Christmas. We were back home around 8:30pm. Beth and I changed and went to Christmas mass. It was a really interesting mass and we both enjoyed it. So we are back home and waiting for Santa to come. So Merry Christmas to all and we hope Santa brings you all you want and more.

Zoo Lights...

After breakfast this morning, we had some running around to do. We had to go to the water store, get gas, go to the movie place for a gift card, then on to the grocery store. We were back home around 1pm. We had a leftover pizza for lunch and then took naps. We headed to Cooperstown around 5pm. It is restaurant owned by Alice Cooper. I had the mac and cheese and it was great. Beth had the brisket and it was really tough. Mom and my sister had fish tacos. We then headed to the Phoenix zoo for the Zoo lights presentation. The line to get in was really long and took about 20 minutes, but once inside it was great. The zoo had several displays with lights around. The dancing trees was set to music. It was really fun and we had a good time.

Rainy Day...

We were up around 7am AZ time. We took showers and I looked over some papers mom had on getting a new roof. I did not like what they had and when Ken came home we talked about it. We then had breakfast. Mom got Beth Lucky Charms and she was in heaven. We then went shopping. It was a rainy but warm day. Ok at least warm for people visiting from PA. It was 69 degrees. We headed for dinner around 5 pm. We went to the Organ Stop. They have really good pizza and a guy plays the pipe organ with several different instrument add-ons. It is really cool as seen in today's picture. Mom had a long list of stuff for me to do on her computer and updates for her Garmin. So we worked on doing it after we got home.

Finally in Phoenix...

We were up around 8am this morning. We finished packing and had breakfast. We loaded the car and left around 10:30am. Buster was not happy at all. We had a quick drive to the airport and found a close place to park. We did not have to wait on the bus, nor did we have to wait for curbside check-in. Things were going well. Then we got to the gate and we were already 20 minutes delayed. No problem. We started watching Beauty and the Beast. We boarded the plane and then sat and waited and waited. We took off about an hour late. The flight was smooth and we arrived around 7pm. We decided not to go to the Organ Stop tonight, but will go tomorrow. We grabbed some dinner and came home. We unpacked and are now relaxing. It was 65 degrees and felt great.

Only hours left...

After breakfast this morning, I headed out to do some shopping. Beth took a shower and headed to her dad's house. I was back home around 11am and started working on the final things on the To Do list. I had to feed the birds, fix the blow up snowman as he was leaning, finish cleaning the kitchen, get the rest of the clothes together, and several other things. I sat down for lunch and my friend Shelly called from KC. We talked for about 30 minutes, then I had to call my mom. As I was talking to her, I had to print off our boarding passes. Beth came home around 2:30pm. I then had to run to the bank and to CVS. We had dinner plans with Jess and Amanda at Olive Garden. It was a nice dinner and we were back home by kick off. Beth is doing the floors now and the packing is all done. Just a few things for the morning and we will be out the door by 10:30am. So we are down to only a few hours before we leave. Today's picture is of Kyle yesterday.

Christmas with the kids...

After breakfast this morning, we began working on a few last minute things before the party. DJ, Maggie, and the boys got here around 12:30pm. Payton took a nap before the Dawn, Jo, and Rylee arrived at 1:30pm. We ordered pizza around 2pm and Payton was up around 2:30pm. Rylee even loves pizza. She had 2 teeth on the bottom and the tops are trying to come in. Rylee finally crashed around 4pm. She was back up around 5pm, but was not a happy camper. Between teeth and very little nap, she was cranky. We opened presents and the kids liked everything they got. Dawn and Jo took Rylee home and she was ready to go. DJ, Maggie, and the boys left about 15 minutes later as they had to bake cookies for Payton to take to school. We loved watching the Eagles get a come from behind win and are so happy the Chiefs won also. It was a great day and we thank everyone for coming and we love our gifts.

Ready to Kick the cold...

Boy did we sleep in this morning. It was almost 10am before we got out of bed. I took a shower and we had breakfast. DJ came by to bring over pictures of Kyle and Payton with Santa. We had to make her some more prints of the Santa picture. We had a nice visit. DJ and I left at the same time. I had to go to the grocery store and to CVS. I started laundry when I got home and began dusting our room. I am not sure why it gets the most dust, but it is clean now. Bathrooms are clean and ready to go. Beth finished the final touches on the downstairs bathroom and it is all ready. I am about 60 % packed and Beth, well let's just say she has a long way to go. We are having Christmas with the kids tomorrow and it should be fun. I am so ready to trade in the 20 degree weather for some 75+ degree weather, even if it is only for a week. Today's picture is of Payton with Santa.

Happy Birthday Jojo !!!

Today is Jojo's 6th birthday. Happy Birthday girl. Beth was up first this morning. She was showered and out the door before 9am. She wanted to get to her dad's and get stuff down before 2pm. I slept in and then began cleaning the dinning room. I am going room by room and hoping to be done by Monday. I think I will make it. Beth was home by 1:30pm and Kim dropped off Jojo around 2:15pm. She was spending the afternoon with us to open her birthday presents then we took her to dinner. After dinner, we all went to pick up Kurt at school. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive up there. Jojo fell asleep around 7:30 and woke just as we got to the college. We did stop at the Krispy Kreme donut place on the way and got some for breakfast. How cool is that ? Jojo was very excited to see Kurt and talked non stop all the way home. We had a great time, but are so ready for bed.

Oh my god, only 5 more days...

After showers this morning, we left to go see Dr. Bill. Beth needed another adjustment on her neck. It was only 18 degrees when left, so I decided to stay in the warm car and listen to Mike and Mike on the radio. After her adjustment, we headed to BJ's wholesale club. We stopped at Wegman's for breakfast rolls. They were great. We did our shopping and then went over to Lowe's. I needed an extension for the bathroom drain and wanted to get it done today. We came home and I fixed the bathroom sink. It is all done and no drips. Beth spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and hanging all her metal signs in the bathroom. Only one thing left and that is to hang the door. It really looks nice down there except for the shower, but there is nothing we can do about it right now. We had Jack Stack chopped brisket for dinner tonight and it sure was good. We only have 5 more days before we leave for Phoenix for Christmas. We still have not packed, which we all know is driving me crazy. I still have to clean the house and get things ready for the house sitter. We are having our Christmas for the Rhotini's and the McWalters on Sunday and I still have things to do to get ready for that. But some how, some way it will all get done before we leave. I hope...

Loose Ends..

We slept late this morning. After breakfast and showers, we went to the pack and ship to mail packages. I like having all the addresses already in the computer as it saves time. We left there and stopped for a slice of pizza. I had the taco and Beth had the buffalo wing. We came home and started on the downstairs bathroom. We started on the medicine cabinet. We had to remove the current bracing and cut it down then reinstall it. Beth had to leave to go to the doctors, so I finished drilling the holes and had to wait to install in until she got back. I next worked on the new light. I turned off the electricity to the light and removed the old one. I rewired the new one and added the light and cap. It worked with no problem. Beth came back home and to top it off she now has Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The doctor gave something for it and something to help calm her nerves. So we installed the cabinet and then moved on to the vanity and sink. We drilled a hole for the drain and installed the facet. I tried to install the drain but it was too short. So off to Lowe's I went. I got a couple of thing that I thought might work, but they were too big. So we worked on just cleaning up the the excess tool and crap laying around. Beth installed the threshold and we called it a night. I will go to home depot and see if they have what I need tomorrow. So little by little all the loose ends are coming together.

Packages are ready...

Beth was up at 7:30am this morning. Dawn came by to pick her up. They went and had breakfast and then to go pick up the jeep. I opted to sleep late and have breakfast at home. Beth was back home around 9:30am. I had made the guest bedroom and got it all read for our house sitter. Beth had 2 more batches of cookie to make and needed butter. So she ran to the store and I made us lunch. After lunch, Beth began her cookie making and I worked downstairs. we both finished up around 4pm and took a little nap again. I think the cold weather is a great time for napping. The high today was 25 and we had snow off and on all day. And the wind was really blowing. We had to run to the mall and decided to eat there. I have been craving salad the last couple of day and they have a big salad place in the mall. After the mall, we came home and I started boxing up the cookies to send to friends. I have 4 boxes to take to the pack and ship in the morning and hope they get to them before Christmas. We are going to try and finish up the bathroom tomorrow. We only have a few items left and want it done. We are having Christmas on Sunday with 3 of the kids and their parents and want a working bathroom. Jojo and her parents will not be able to make it, so we will have Christmas with her when we come back home. Time is flying by and we are not even packed for our Arizona trip. Guess it will all get done one way or the other.

Monday morning...

We had to get up at 7:30am this morning. We left to go see Dr. Bill at 9am. Beth is having problems with her neck again and will need to see Dr. Bill again on Thursday. We left there and had to go pick up the jeep at Kim and Lynne's house. The check engine light is on, so we needed to get it looked at. I followed Beth to the jeep dealership and then we stopped and had breakfast at Friendly's. I had the strawberry filled french toast and Beth had eggs and pancakes. It hit the spot on a cold winter morning. We came home and Beth left to go see her dad. I finished the last batch of cookies and did a couple loads of laundry. I had a lunch and Beth was home around 3:30pm. We both took a short nap and I started dinner. While dinner was cooking, I made the chocolate pretzel rods. After dinner, Beth began making her cookies. I had to run to the store for a couple of items she needed and boy was it windy and cold out. I went downstairs to begin the clean up process. Dawn called and said Rylee's doctor appointment was cancelled tomorrow and we would not see her. What a bummer. Today's picture is another one of Rylee's Christmas pictures.

Rest...

We slept until 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and showers, then headed to Lowe's and Micheal's. We were back home by 11am. I began frosting the sugar cookies and Beth was on the computer. We watched football the rest of the day. It was kinda nice to rest up a bit before going full speed next week. We had Jack Stack for dinner. Bar-b-Que brisket with baked beans and corn casserole. Boy was it good. It rained all day, but I will take that over snow.

Cookie Baking..

We slept until 9:30am this morning. We had breakfast and showers. Beth headed out to do some shopping and I began making cookies. I started with the vanilla chip cherry cookies. Then on to the pecan drizzles and then on to sugar cookies. Beth came home around 3pm. The last cookies we made were snowman cookies. They all turned out great and Beth loves to sample them. It ended up being about 15 dozen all together. I still have a couple more to make and then Beth will bake chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin on Monday. That way I can pack them up and ship them off on Wednesday. We are hoping to finish our Christmas Cards tomorrow while watching football. We only have 10 more day before we leave to spend Christmas with my parents in Phoenix. It will be the first time Beth will be away from PA at Christmas time.

Night Out...

We were up again at 8am this morning. Beth headed to her dad's house and I went to the grocery store. I wanted to get a jump on my cookie baking. So after the store, I came home and started laundry. I then had some lunch and began the baking process. I have chosen 6 different cookies to make this year. As I was getting the ingredients for the first batch, I discovered that we had a bottle of almond extract, but it was empty. So it was on to cookie number 2, a lemon cookie. I decided to use the Kitchen Aid mixer this years as my hands just can't take the stirring. Oh was it a big help. So I made about 4 dozens cookie and they were pretty good. Beth came home from her dad's house around 4pm. We went out to dinner and a concert with friends. It was a nice time. So tomorrow, I will finish my part of the cookie making while Beth does her shopping.

Toilet installed..

We were up at 8am this morning. Dawn came by for a visit and to pick up the pictures of Rylee. After she left we had breakfast and showers. I took Beth to pick up the Jeep and I went to the bank. Beth stopped at Lowe's to pick up the door hinges and a couple of other things. Today was the day to get the toilet installed downstairs. So off we went. We had problems with one of the bolts not fitting, so we went to plan B and added a spacer and used a different screw. Beth could hardly wait to turn on the water. So slowly the water was turned on and no leaks. We did the flush test and no water. So Beth is a happy camper that the toilet is now working. We decided that we could only get a 20 inch vanity and the choices were very limited. So off to Lowe's we went to get the vanity and a water supply line. We carried the vanity downstairs and set it in the space and boy does it look good in there. We want to install the mirror first, but need to shut the electric off first. We will then install the light and new switch. We then left and went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get the towel bar and toilet paper holder as I had coupons. We came home and I fixed steak for dinner. We then went back downstairs and Beth worked on the toilet paper holder and I finished wrapping presents. We have so many things to still do in the next 11 days. I am starting my baking tomorrow, so I can get the rest of the packages mailed.

What now...

We were up early this morning. We had to take the jeep in to get the brakes checked on it. After dropping it off we stopped by Lowe's to get a couple of tiles and to look as faucets. We then came home to change cars and went to IKEA. We had to take back some items and exchange them for different things. We then drove down to Home Depot to look at theirs faucets. My ears started hurting and felt swollen. This is the second time this has happened. We left Home Depot and walked a ways to BJ's Wholesale club. When I got in the store both my face and ears were swollen. It felt like hives, which I had when I was a kid. We did some shopping and then left. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then to the Disney Store. We came home and both took a quick nap. We headed to DJ and Maggie's house at 6:30pm. They are looking at a new house and wanted us to check it out. As I was checking out the outside, I could feel my face swelling again. I had a hat on this time so my ears were good. It was kinda scary. I did some research when we got home and found I may be allergic to the cold. Just great. I will call the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get in. It seems to be the cold weather causes hives on the exposed area. Guess we sill spend the winter in Florida.

Oh what a day...

We were up at 8am again this morning. We had a lot we wanted to get done. The new refrigerator was being delivered between 10am and noon. So we had breakfast, got showers, and Beth went out to pick up poop. The guys were here around 10:30am. The fridge was installed and running and they were gone by 11am. It sure looks nice and fits great. We then turned our attention to the tiles. I took the paper backing off and made sure they were turned the right way and Beth laid them down. The process of laying the whole tiles went fast. Then we came to the cutting part. I was of no use cutting. I could not hold the straight edge and cut. I just don't have the hand strength any more. So Beth took the measurements and I set up the tiles for cutting. We did really well and were able to get them all done by 2:30pm. We had some lunch and then took a rest period. DJ called to tells us that Kyle got beat up at school this morning. Long story short, he tried to do the right thing yesterday about seeing a fight, but it got him beat up in gym class. Not sure what the school is going to do about it as they are still looking into it. Then to top it all off it appears the Kyle might have rheumatoid arthritis. He is going to see a specialist to see if it is true. So it was one heck of a day.

New tiles..

We slept until 8am this morning. Dawn stopped by for a visit and had to go do some realtor business. We took showers and headed to Home Depot, the post office, and Lowe's. We found some new tiles for the bathroom downstairs and will put them down in the morning. We would like to complete everything by the end of the week-end. Beth left and went to her dad's house. I was able to get the bows and tags on the rest of the Christmas presents. I only have a couple more presents to buy and I will be done. It was cold here today and we had some flurries. I am going to do my baking this week-end so items cane be shipped by the 15th. So much to do and running out of time.

Christmas presents wrapped...

Rylee had a great night last night. I heard her cough a couple of times, but she slept until 8:20am this morning. We had oatmeal for breakfast and then went downstairs to play with the toys. Dawn and Jo came by to pick her up around 12ish. She was so ready for a nap. We tried to feed her some baby food for lunch, but she was having no part of that. She wants real food now. So she had cottage cheese, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cranberry sauce. She loves cranberry sauce. We settled in watching football on the big screen. I wrapped all the presents and even got some of the bows and tags on them. I will finish the rest tomorrow as I am tired and going to bed.

Rylee spending the night...

We slept until 9am this morning. We had breakfast and I took a shower. I had to go to Kohl's for a couple of Christmas gift and had a 15% off coupon. I then went to Giant as I had to redeem our free certificate and got a party size lasagna. I came home and Beth was working on the bathroom floor. I cleaned the dinning room and kitchen. I also started laundry. I went to to see how Beth was doing and it was not good. Some how the glue and and tiles were not working. She was in tears. So the project stopped and we will work on it Monday. I think the stress of the holidays, her dad and this project have caught up with her. So we had lunch and just relaxed for a bit. I made dinner around 6pm and Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came over around 6:45pm. I am watching Rylee tonight and the rest of them are going to Wendy's Christmas party. I had the option of going, but who could turn down watching football and playing with Rylee. Not me for sure. So they all left around 7:30pm and Rylee and I went downstairs to play. All her toys are in the playroom now and she loves it. We played until 8:45pm and then got ready for bed. She had her bottle and went right to sleep. No fuss or crying. The time we had was too short, so I am glad we have all morning to play some more. She went and had her 1st birthday and Christmas pictures taken today. As you can see for the picture, she did great. I just love them and she is so cute. Not sure what time Beth will be home, but I don't expect her to be too late and I hope she has as good time as I did with Rylee.

Run Run Run...

I had to get up early this morning, as I had to be at the cancer doctor at 9:15am. All test were good and I will have another body scan next July. If all is good, then I will not have anything for the next 5 years. After I left the doctor, I headed to Exton to do some Christmas shopping. I hit about 5 stores and then went to BJ's Wholesale club. On the way back, I was getting really hungry. I had not eaten breakfast and it was already 1pm. So I stopped at Subway for a quick sandwich and then more shopping. I finally made it home around 2:30pm. I was able to find most things I was looking for and even a few things I did not know I needed. Beth was home around 5:30pm from her dad's house. I made dinner and we headed back to Target. I just love shopping with coupons. Leapster Explorer $70 on sale for $60, $10 Target coupon combined with $10 manufacturer coupon equals Leapster Explorer for $40, priceless!

Payton to the doctor..

I got up around 8:00am this morning. There was a text to call Maggie. She said Payton woke up with a rash on his chest this morning and had a doctor's appointment at 10:20am instead of 2:40pm. So I took a shower and got dressed. Beth was up and we had breakfast. She put the car seat in the car and I left to go pick Payton up at Maggie's mom house and then on to the doctor. We had to wait awhile, but finally got to go to the back. They did a throat culture and it was negative. The doctor believes the rash was just a heat rash and was nothing to worry about. But since we were there he went ahead and gave Payton his flu shot. Payton was not to happy to hear it was a shot. He did well and only cried a little bit. We left there and came home. Beth took us to lunch at Friendly's. We did a little shopping in the mall then came home. Payton took a nap and Beth set up the camera equipment. After Payton got up from his nap, we changed his shirt and went to take his picture. DJ and Maggie are sending them out in their Christmas cards this year. DJ came by to get Payton around 5pm. Beth and I left to go check out some Hallmark stores. We were looking to the Christmas count down ornaments for the kids. We thought it would be a good gift for them so they could track when Christmas will be here. Rylee is a little young and maybe even Payton, but it will be good for them next year to have. We stopped and got dinner and are now watching the Eagles play. I have to get up early again tomorrow, as I have a doctor's appointment at 9:15am.

IKEA Shopping...

It was another rainy gloomy day when we got up this morning. We had 2 1/2 inches of rain last night. We had breakfast and then decided to go to IKEA. Beth was looking for storage for her wine. So on our way we went. We looked at several ideas and decided to get a wooden shelf unit. It was a little bigger that we original thought, but it also get us some more storage room. We had lunch at IKEA. Beth had chicken fingers and I had the Swedish meatballs. We did some more shopping, then loaded the car and came home. Beth began cleaning out the area for the shelf. I came upstairs and finished putting out the rest of the Christmas item upstairs. We had dinner and went to Lowe's. Beth had over 100 screws to put in for the shelving unit. We got a socket bit for the drill to make it easier. Beth began putting the unit together and if I know her she will have it done by the time she goes to bed. And it is!
