It was so cool at night that we could open the windows. I was even cold in the middle of the night and had to shut the Windows in the bedroom. After breakfast, we had to run to the bank and a few other errands. I as able to ride along but had to stay in the car at Lowe's. Beth's mom and dad stopped by around 11:30am. After lunch, Beth began cutting the grass and I started laundry. It was still nice and cool, so we were able to keep the windows all day. You can tell fall is just around the corner. We called and the pool will be closed October 1. We will probable only be in it a couple more times. Can't see the weather getting any higher than 80 the rest of the summer. Beth put a humming bird feeder out front. I have seen a little humming bird out there the last several nights. Maybe we will have more visit next year. We are watching Monday night football since the Phillies are off tonight. Today's picture is of the sand castle fort we built on the beach.

Watching the Boys..
Beth got up at 7am this morning and got ready for church. They have finally moved back into the new place, so she had to leave earlier than normal. I on the other hand slept until 9am. Guess I was tired from yesterday. Dawn and Jojo came over to copy the pictures we had of the twins. This will be their last week with them and they will be returned to their birth mother on Sunday. It is so sad. Maggie came over to drop the boys off a little after noon. They had a wedding to go to so we were watching the boys today. Beth tried to put Payton down for a nap, but Payton kept facing Beth and whispering to her. Beth would then laugh and then Payton would laugh. I finally had to go in and keep the two quite and it did not take Payton 5 minutes and he was out. He slept a couple of hours and was ready to play again. I began printing off pictures to start scrap booking next week. College football begins Saturday and I will be in the scrap booking room all day. We ordered pizza for dinner. Beth and Payton took out the trash. He is all about helping right now. They played outside for a while then came in. Maggie picked up the boys about 10pm. We are not watching to see if the Phillies can hold on and win. Today's picture is of the bad storm in North Carolina that rolled in really fast and how quickly it cleared out. You can see the clear sky right behind the heavy rain. So weird..

Draft Day..
Draft day is always a busy time around our house. We always hold the daft at our house for the 10 teams involved. I had several things to to early this morning with regards to the food. Started fixing the hot dogs, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks about noon as the draft was to start at 1pm. I was the stand in for the Saltdawgs team as Jackie had to work. We started right at 1pm. We managed to get through the first 8 rounds in little over an hour and took a break. Jackie was able to walk me through her first 8 picks and gave me advise on who she was looking at for the remaining 8 rounds. Time sure does fly when we do the draft. We finished that last 8 rounds in a couple more hours. It always takes longer the farther you get. Most people took off as it was Saturday and had other plans. We did not have many leftover, so clean up did not take long. We have a very bad storm rolling in with tons of lighting, so I have to get the blog updated before we lose the lights. Sorry no picture tonight.

Pre-draft day...
Beth and Kyle finally got home around midnight last night. Beth had to be up at 7:30am as she had a doctor's appointment about here arm going numb at 9am. Kyle and I slept until 8:30 and then had breakfast. Beth got home around 10:15am and took Kyle home. She had a hair appointment at 1:15pm and then was going to her mom's to drop off the Sam's order and then on to the grocery store. . For me, I spent my time on the couch again. Beth fixed dinner, then we headed downstairs to prepare things for the draft party tomorrow. It is always a busy time getting things ready for the draft. I will not be on a team this year, but will be picking for Jackie since she has to work. I have found the last 2 year I do not enjoy watching football when I have to worry about how players are doing. Beth says it is my A type personality that has to won so much. So I would rather be a consultant for who every and enjoy watching the games again. It will be so great to watch college on Saturday and pro on Sunday/Monday. We have everything set up downstairs, beer in the keg, soda/water on ice, and food list ready to go. I love this time of the year. Today's picture is of Jojo dancing on the beach. She is so cute and loves to dance.

Eagles Game..
We had to get up early as Dawn was coming over at 8:30am. Beth made us all breakfast before they headed to Exton for shopping. Kyle began cleaning the floors both upstairs and down. The draft party is Saturday and I could not go to Sam's, so Beth and Dawn went. I think it was good for those two to go together. They came home around noon. Beth had gotten everything on the list except hot dog buns. What a shopper. They left to go have lunch and to go to the beer store. I had Kyle spray the backyard for broad leaf grass. I had to sit our side and supervise him but it felt great to just be outside. Beth, Kyle, and Jess headed to the football game about 4:30pm. It took them 2 1/2 hours to get into the stadium. I am watching the Eagles and the Phillies play and texting Beth Phillies scores. Sure wish I could have gone, but not in the cards. Today's picture is of a whale her baby. This is on the side of one of the condos on the beach. It is really cool and big.

Resting Sucks..
I had a hard time sleeping last night and was up at 6am this morning. The rest of the gang got up at 8am. Since I am to rest my foot as much as possible, I spent most of the day on the couch and it was not fun. For us type A personalities it is hard doing nothing all day and not being active. It is up to Beth to keep the tomato plants watered outside and she is now doing most of the cooking. Not much else to report and don't expect anything exciting to happen in the next 2 weeks either. I am not going to the Eagles game tomorrow. It will require to much walking and going up and down stairs is not in my best interest. So Beth and Kyle will be on there own. I will be watching from home and wishing I was there. Today's picture is of Beth and Jojo plaing in the sand on the beach.

Not a great day...
We picked up Kyle around 9am this morning. We then went to Lowe's. We had to get brush killer, broad leaf grass, killer, and mold killer. Uhmmm i see a theme here. We then came home and Beth began to weed whack the yard. I called the foot Dr as I did not feel my foot was getting any better. They said I could come in but not until Sept. 11. Hell my foot could fall off by then. I had them ask the doctor if there were any other anti-inflammatory pills I could take as I did not think these were helping. The nurse said she would ask and call me back. So I went out side and did my trimming and pulled some weeds from the flower beds. I came inside about an hour later and the doctor's office called back and said I could come in for a cortisone shot. Past experience told me it would hurt but it was the only thing that would help. So I had an appointment at 4:15pm. We had lunch and Beth went to cut the front yard and Kyle did the back yard. I was told to stay in the house and supervise Kyle from the window. I hate feeling helpless. So I played water girl and stayed off my foot as much as possible. I left for the doctor's office about 4pm. It was only about 10 minutes from the house. I got right in which I thought was a good sign, Boy was I wrong. I waited almost an hour before I saw the doctor. We talked about all the possible solutions and came to the following. I would get a cortisone shot, continue taking the anti inflammatory for 2 more weeks, get fitted for a custom insole, and wear a boot cast for the next 2 weeks. The boot cast was so not in the picture. So now it looks like I will not be going to the Eagles game on Thursday. It requires a lot of walking to get to the stadium and I have to go up and down about 30 stairs to get to our seats. Not sure that is smart right now, but we will see. The couch is suppose to be my best friends the next 2 weeks. That is so not what I had planned. But better to get my foot better now and ready for P-town the second week of October. So it looks like Kyle will be my gopher the rest of the week. He will be so ready for school to start by then.

Rest day...

We slept really well in our own bed last night and did not want to get up, but we chiropractic appointments at 9am. There were a lot of people in to see Dr. Bill this morning, so it took it longer than normal. We had to be back home by 10am as the insurance guy was coming to look at the roof and the leak. I headed to the target and the grocery store. It took for ever to get through the grocery store. The people working the deli are morons. When I returned home the insurance guy was there and gone. He said that we would probably have to put in 2 claims. One for the leak, which he said they should pay for and one for the hail damage. He indicate that the hail damage may not be covered since no one else in the area had reported any roof damage. Now I have to ask myself, how many people get out on top of their roof every time we have hail to check for damage? We would not if it had not been for the leak. Another Moron. I spent the rest of the afternoon doing laundry and resting from the week at the beach. We have to get going on the yard work tomorrow as the grass is getting tall. Have to pick up Kyle in the morning as he will be stay 3 day with us. He starts school on Monday. Today's picture is of a hermit crab that took up residence in a sea shell. You can see his beady little eyes.

On the road again...
We set the alarm last night for 6am with the hope of being on the road by 7am. Well that did not work. We rolled out of bed at 6:30am. Not bad since we had slept til 8:30am almost every day. We took showers, finished packing, and cleaned our end of the condo. We were hoping now that the car was packed that it would start. It did and we were on the road by 8am. We made pretty good time. We really only ran into a couple of heavy traffic spots. We made it home in 8 hours and 40 minutes, which is a whole lot better than the 11 hours to get there. We stopped at KFC on the way home for chicken. The car is unloaded, the trash is to curb, and Buster is happy that his peoples are home. Things are good. Still have to transfer the pictures from the laptop to my computer, so no picture no night. Sorry...

Last day at the beach..
Today is our last day at the beach. We will be heading back home early tomorrow. We talked about leaving early since the waves were so high and the ocean was really rough. We went to do some last minute running around and found the car would not start. Beth called AAA and they said it would be an hour before anyone could get out there. Ok so we wait. The called about 45 minutes later and said they were running behind and it would be another 30 minutes. It was about 1:15 before they got here. It took the guy a few times to get the car started. Who knew it took more juice to jump a diesel car then a gas powered car. He said it would take 30 minutes to charge the battery and that was no problem since we had several trips to make. Only difference was we could not turn off the car at each stop. We stopped at the Trolley Stop which is the little 12 x 12 shack that sells the best hot dogs. Only 8 people at a time can stand inside the door way due to how small it is. But boy are the hot dogs good. We saw the angry clouds start to roll in again. You could look to the right down the shore line and see the rain as it headed in. Sure enough the clouds blew in and the rain began to pour. It lasted about 20 minutes then is was sunshine again. I have never seen rain move in so fast and gone in the same amount of time before. We are packing what we can in the car tonight, so we can get an early start tomorrow. Hoping to miss a lot of traffic.

Another day of showers...
We had a great breakfast of eggs and bacon this morning. Beth and I headed to beach around 11am. The waves were really rough and the tide was high. We should have looked at the clouds behind the condo as there were several angry clouds again. Based on our experience from yesterday we knew that the rain would be here soon. So after about 45 minutes on the beach, we packed up and headed for the condo. We were almost there when the rain drop started to fall. Good timing. By the time we finished with our showers, the thunder was loud and the rain was falling. At times the rain was so hard that you could hardly see the ocean. We had tacos for dinner and are now watching the Phillies on the computer and waiting for preseason football game to start. Tomorrow is our last full day on the beach and they are calling for rain. Let's hope it holds off so we can enjoy the beach one more time. Today's pictures are of the angry rain clouds and the fierce ocean waves that took place today.

A giant down pour
We were up late last night watching the Phillies bet the diamondbacks. Sorry mom. We slept in til 8:45am, had breakfast, then headed to the beach. The tide was high, yea I know that is a song, so the under current was strong. Since we had Jojo, we stayed close to the shore. She kept drifting down from us, so we decided to play in the sand for a while. We made sand castles and tried to make a fort. It was really fun. We noticed some angry clouds coming in behind us, but saw no lighting. We started to play in the water again and felt a few rain drops. We decided to go ahead and go in since it was close to lunch time. All of a sudden the sky opened up and it began to pour. The wind blew the umbrella out of the holder and it blew down the beach. By the time we collected everything and made our way to the landing we were soaked. Ok, we were already soaked from being in the water, but now our towels are also soaked and sand covered. By the time we made half way back the rain had stopped and the sun was out. We had lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon resting. Beth and I went out to dinner. We went to CiCi pizza since they do not have them in Philly. We then did a little bit of shopping and headed home. The Eagles play the Colts tonight in the second preseason game. We are also watching the Phillies on the computer. right now they are winning. Today's picture is a ground level view of a wave coming in.

Short day at the beach...
We slept in later this morning. We decided not to go to the beach this morning, but to do some more shopping. We tried to find a scrap booking store, but found it was no longer in business. We had to stop at the store for a few things and then headed home. The rest of the gang was at the beach, so we had a nice quite lunch. Everyone else came back from the beach around 1pm. We told Jojo that after she took her nap we would go down to the beach. We headed down about 5pm. The tide was coming in and the waves were really rough. We spent some time playing in the sand and then headed to the pool. The sun was going down so it was not so hot outside. We had dinner, pork and sauerkraut, and then went to Rita's for water ice. Today's picture is of Beth covering Jojo in sand.

Another great day at the Beach..
After breakfast, we headed to the beach. The sun was bright and the temperature was hot. The water was cool again, but felt great. I took a book along to read and even managed to get a few winks in. The waves are very soothing and relaxing. We were outside about 3 hours. I could feel the slight burn I got being in the water most of the time. We headed back to the condo, but stopped for a quick dip in the pool. We took showers and had some lunch. We then headed out to do some shopping. After a couple hours of shopping we headed back to the condo. I took a quick nap before dinner as I had a headache. Today's picture is a great shot of the beach and the waves.

Beach Day...
We got up around 8am this morning. We had breakfast and headed to the Beach. The water was at low tide so there was a lot of beach to play with. We hit the water first. The water was a little cool, but what do you expect it is the ocean. The waves were a little mild and it was great playing in the water. It was a little over cast so the sun was not shining bright which was nice. We saw several little fish caught in the low water and a couple of things that looked like little baby sharks, but they were not. Only about 6 inches long. We then began building a sand castle. The sand was a little dry but we managed to make the basic outline. It is so fun playing in the sand. We were out about a couple of hours and then came in for lunch. Everyone ended up taking a nap after lunch. Playing in the water is hard work. Everyone went to the pool, except me, for a little while before dinner. I am trying to rest my foot as much as possible. My new sandals were a little hard to get used to, but I love them now. They are so comfortable and I think they help support my arch better. We did get a set of insole for my tennis shoes, so we will see how they feel tomorrow. Watching football right now and we are so ready for the start of the season. Today's picture is of a sail boat on the ocean. What a great day.

Shopping at the beach...
We slept in late this morning. We were really tired from traveling all day yesterday. Beth and Jojo had the vacation breakfast of Lucky Charms and I had a bagel. Then we took showers and went shopping. I found a pair of Birkenstock sandals and then we headed to the grocery store. We then headed home. It was a cloudy day, but the beach was full of people. We decided to not go to the beach and hang out at the condo. Beth took a nap for a couple of hours and I read a book. We started dinner around 6pm. We made chicken flautas. Everyone loved them, except JoJo. Hopefully my foot will feel better tomorrow and we can head to the beach right after breakfast. Today's picture is the view of the beach from the condo balcony.

Traffic Sucks...
We got up at 6:30am this morning in hopes of leaving by 8am. We did pretty well and were only 30 minutes late. We made pretty good time until we reached Alexandria and then it came to a dead stop. We moved along at a whopping speed of 10 miles per hour. It took us 6 hours to go less than 200 hundred miles. It was a real pain in the ass. It was all beach traffic and nothing we could do about it. We finally cleared the log jam about 2 1/2 hours later. We skipped eating lunch to try and make up some time. We stopped about 4:30 for dinner at Cracker Barrel. It was nice to get out and stretch our legs. We finally made it to the condo at 8:15pm. It has been a long day and we are so glad to be unpacked and resting. Tomorrow we will hit the beach and enjoy the sun and sand.

And the doctor said...
We had a lot to do today to get ready to leave for the beach tomorrow morning. We had to finish packing, clean the house, and mow the grass. I had a doctor's appointment at 1:45pm. But as usual the doctor is always running behind and she was 30 minutes late. She was confused at first since I was there in April to have my left foot looked at. After she realized it was the right foot that hurt this time she was ready to go. She said I had some soft tissue sprain because the insoles were not wide enough and I kept rolling my foot every time I walked. Also said that I had broken my foot before and wanted to know when. Said I had no idea. Who knew. So it looks like I will need custom insoles when we return. I have to check and see if the insurance will cover any of the cost. She also suggested wearing Birkenstock sandals since they have a wide support. So she taped my foot and gave me some anti-inflammatory. She said she could give me a shot that we all know will hurt like hell. Also have to put heat on it 3 times a day. She said I could just cover it was sand and that would probably work as a heat pack also. Finally got out of the office at 3:15pm. Beth began cutting the grass and I had to run to CVS to get the prescription filled. We still had to go to the bank and then to see Beth's mom. And some time in there have some dinner. Finally got home about 9pm. We have to load the car and we are done for the evening. We will try to leave around 8am tomorrow since it is an 8 hour drive and would like to be there around dinner time. Today's picture is of one of the sled dogs at a demonstration we saw in Alaska.

Preseason Begins...
We had to get up early this morning as Payton and his mom were here at 7:15am. We took showers and headed to the chiropractor. We stopped at Dunkin and had breakfast. Payton was able to put away 5 mini powder sugar donuts,. On the sixth one he licked all the power sugar off and said he was done. It was so cute. We had a lot of errands to do and it began to rain AGAIN. First stop was Target. Payton got a dinosaur and named it Daisy. Then it was on to CVS to pick up prescriptions. The last stop was to Game Stop to sell some DS games that were no longer wanted. I fixed chicken frys and peroigees for lunch. Payton almost fell asleep before lunch was over. He did not want to take a nap, but it only took him 5 minutes to fall asleep. The Phillies played an afternoon game and beat the Cubs big time. DJ came and picked up the boys about 4:30pm. We had an early dinner and began packing for vacation. The Eagles first preseason game was on tonight. Big news as the Eagles signed Micheal Vick to their roster. It is going to be an exciting year. Thank god I go to the doctor about my foot tomorrow. I would be all for cutting it off if it would stop hurting so much. Today's picture is of a beach in the Bahamas from 2005.

Movie day..

Since the roofer came yesterday, we decided to go to the movies today. Kyle and I saw G I Joe and Dawn and Beth saw Julia and Julie. Our movie was good and they said theirs was just ok. Kyle started on the floors when we got home and I began packing a few things for the trip this weekend. I put out a text message to my friends in KC in search of a lawyer in Missouri regarding the house. We found out today that it has not been sold and will be actioned off on August 31. So I want to see if there is anything I can do. Got a couple of names and will try to make contact tomorrow. It began to rain, of course, around 6:30pm. The house sitter was coming over around 7pm to go over things. I did a couple of loads of laundry, so we could begin packing tomorrow. Watching the Phillies beat the Cub right now. It is a good game. Payton will be joining us tomorrow for a visit. Today picture is of a guy wind surfing at the beach. Pretty cool.

In Threes...
They say that things in threes and I am beginning to believe it. The roofer was due to arrive between 9 and 11am this morning. I figured it would be closer to 11am, so Kyle and I went downstairs to try and clean up what I will call the tool room. it was full of crap and was hard to get to any of the rooms down stairs. So off we went, picking up stuff and putting it away. The roofer arrived about 11:30am and climbed on the roof to take a look at things. And of course the worse possible news was we need a new roof. Two things were wrong. The valley between in the front has a metal trough that is way too small and the hard rains we have had cause the water to run under the shingles and then into the bedroom. That is about what we expected. The other part was the last hail storm we had caused a lot of damage to the shingles and needed to be replaced. The only saving grace is that the replacement of the roof might be covered by the insurance. There was no point in fixing the valley if the whole roof needed to be replaced. We are waiting on the estimate from the guy to submit a claim. Then the pool guys show up to check the pool pump. Good news there, it was only a seal that needed to be replaced. So let's see..a new tire for the riding mower, a new roof is needed, and the pool seal was bad. That is three so we can stop with the bad things now. I could tell by noon that I had been on my foot way too long. It was really sore and painful this afternoon, so I did nothing else. I am so looking forward to movie day tomorrow. Today's picture is of Jojo at the beach last year. We are so looking forward to going and hope the weather is nicer this year.

A HOT Day...
Boy what a hot day it was today...I had a hard time sleeping last night and was up a 6:45am. The rest of the gang was up around 8am. Had breakfast and then had to water the tomato plants. One plant is about done producing tomatoes, but the other 3 are still going strong. We finally got a hold of a roofer and he will be her tomorrow to look at the roof. Beth had the tire replaced on the riding mower and the pool guy will also be here tomorrow. So things are at least moving forward. Had a hair appointment today and was so glad. My bangs were really getting long. It was 96 degrees, sunny, and very humid. We spent most of our day inside. They are calling for some rain tonight and tomorrow. I just hope it holds off until the roofer is done doing what ever it needs to stop leaking. Beth is hoping to cool down by looking at pictures from our Alaska trip. We took an excursion from Skagway to the Yukon region of Canada. T0day's pictures is from there and the area is called The Terrible Tundra. It was very freaky to see this in person.

The start of Football season...
Sorry for not putting a blog out yesterday. There was really not much to tell and I was to tired last night when Beth asked me if I put one out there. Beth cut the grass and I did some trim work. Other than that we did nothing. Real exciting...not. Today we slept til 8am. Got up, took showers, and off to the diner for breakfast. Stopped at WAWA for a paper, then back home. DJ, Maggie, and the boys came over about 3pm. Dawn, Jo, and the twins got here about 4pm. We were supposed to go swimming, but the rain put a damper on that. So the kids played downstairs with the toys and the adults did some visiting and catching up. We all kinda know the time with the twins is coming to an end soon and they will be missed for sure. We grilled hotdogs and had chips for dinner. There is nothing better than grilled hotdogs. Yum Yum... The start of football season gets under way tonight with the Hall of Fame game. I am so excited for football season to start. The Eagles have their first preseason game on Thursday. We have to find a roofer tomorrow as the leak in the spare room is getting worse. So next week will be a busy week with everything we have to get done. We are still hoping to go on vacation the following week, but a lot depends on the roof and my foot. So we will see. Today's picture was taken in 2007 of the Eagles training camp. Of the 3 quarterback shown from 2 years ago, only 1 of them is still with the team. It is funny how things can change from year to year.

A Do Nothing Day...

Foe some reason I was awake at 5am, but finally went back to sleep about 6:30am. We finally rolled out of bed about 8:15am. I had to fertilizer the plants today and that always takes time. After fertilizing. I began to pull weeds from the flower beds. They were not too bad but it is always good to catch them early. I then had to cut the saplings from the walking tree plant. I should have done it earlier but forgot. We finally had breakfast around 10am. We took showers and headed to the UPS store. Beth sent some camera equipment off that she sold and I sent my mom a t-shirt we found in Reading. Then we headed to Beth's mom for a visit and to drop off some tomatoes. We are getting about 5 tomatoes a day now and they are starting to pile up. We were back home around 3pm and had lunch. The rest of the day was spent doing nothing. Today's picture is of the mounted police they had at the concert. A nice looking and big horse.

Good-Bye Shelly
Today was Shelly and Sienna's last day of vacation. We spent the day visiting and relaxing at home. I fixed a late lunch, so they would have a good meal before their trip home. I was able to call the foot doctor's office, but can't get in til next Friday. So I will have to suffer another week, but hopefully I can rest my foot a lot more. We left about 3:40pm for the airport. The traffic was lighter than normal and we made it to the airport in about an hour. Coming home was a different story. We hit the middle of rush hour traffic, but it only took us an hour 1/2 to get home. We had the sandwiches Shelly forgot to take with her for dinner. I fixed some soup to go with them. We miss you already Shelly. Today picture is of the Fahrenheit roller coaster ride at Hershey Park. This is the first hill climb then an almost straight down fall. There is no way in hell any of us wanted to ride this coaster. How about you????

Rest Day...
After being on the go for the last 3 days, we took today as a day of rest. Beth and I slept in til 8am which does not sound late but we went to bed at 9:30pm last night. We had breakfast and just laid around the house all day. It was nice to not be on the go and just relax. We made tacos for dinner, then went to Rita's for dessert. They have a new favor called Swedish Fish and boy was it good. We then came home and made popcorn and watched a movie called Inkheart. It was alright but I don't have to see it again. Time for bed as tomorrow is Shelly and Sienna's last day visiting. We will be sad to see them go, but know that all good things must come to an end. Today's picture is of Beth and Sienna in the Howler. I think this ride got the best of Beth with the round and round motion.

Hershey Park...
We got up at 7am this morning to take showers and head to the park by 8am. We did pretty well by being only 10 minutes late. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to get there and we paid for premium parking so we did not have to walk as far. We got there just as the gates were opening and headed for the first roller coaster ride of the day. The lines were not long at all. I think the most time we spent in line was about 15 minutes. Most people were at the Boardwalk, which is the water part of the park. We were starting to get tired about 2:30pm and decided to head for the chocolate factory. We did the little tour and received our free chocolate kisses, then headed downstairs to do some shopping. They have every type of product that Hershey makes. After about an hour we headed to the car for the ride home. Seemed like it took longer to get home than to get there. We were hot, tired, and ready for a nap. And take a nap is what we all did when we got home. We then order Italian from the take out down the street. Shelly and Sienna got in the hot tub while Beth and I tried to find the tomato worm that seems to have hit the plants. I killed one, but I think there are more. Boy they are hard to see. I am going to bed early as my foot hurts and I am tired. The doctor finally called today and said there is no fractures and no arthritis but that I have a sprain and a heel spur. Not much they can do as I need to see the foot doctor and she is gone for another week. Today's picture is of Beth and Sienna on the Scrambler.

Musikfest
We had to get up early as Beth and I had a chiropractic appointment. Shelly and Sienna were lounging by the pool. We had lunch and headed for Bethlehem for Musikfest. Musikfest is where a bunch bands are showcased all over different parts of the park. We had tickets to see David Cook from American Idol and the gates opened at 6:30pm. It was a hot day and the sun was shinning bright. There was not really much to see so we had some dinner and listened to one of the near by bands playing. Their music was pretty good, but not enough for us to get up and go see who they were. We got in line a little after 6pm and the gates opened at 6:30pm sharp. We found our seats and waited for the warm up band to begin playing at 7:30pm. The were called Green River Ordinance and were from Texas. They were pretty good and we bought their CD. David Cook began playing about 8:30pm. I have to admit I did not know many of the songs, but Sienna had a good time. Why is it every time you go to a concert people must stand the whole time. We pay for a seat but never get to set in it and see the performer. We left early to try and beat the crowd back to the transportation bus. It was then a hour drive. We got home a little after 11pm and had to get up early the next day. Sorry for the late posting in the blog, but we were really tired. Today's picture is of Shelly and Sienna.

Happy Birthday Mom...
Want to wish my mom a very Happy Birthday and I love you. About 3am this morning I was awaken to loud clasp of thunder. I knew it was not going to be a dry day. When we got up it was raining lightly. The weather forecast was for rain most of the day. We decided to forgo going to see the Liberty Bell and surrounding area and boy am I glad we did. We went to the diner for breakfast and the rain started to fall harder. All through breakfast it was raining and just as we returned home the sky opened up and rain fell in buckets. We had about an 1inch in 30 minutes. Part of the city were flooded. We headed to Reading to go shopping. Found only a few things, so we headed to King of Prussia to do more shopping at the mall. The rain finally stopped falling about 3pm. Shelly was able to find some school clothes for Sienna and Beth was able to look at new phones. We headed back home and I fixed Sliders and sweet potato fries for dinner. Just as we finished dinner the rain began to fall again. At last count we had received over 3 1/2 inches of rain today. The pool was almost running over and Beth had to backwash it to get it below the skimmers. Hope the rain stops soon and dries out as we are heading to Musikfest tomorrow. Going to see David Cook from American Idol in concert. today's picture is of my mom and cricket.

Shelly's Here....
We slept in late again this morning. I had to water and found to my surprise that most of the leaves were gone from one of the tomato plants. This could only be that I had a tomato worm. After searching for 30 minutes I finally found it. They blend in so well with the other leaves. I am just hoping it was the only one. Guess I will know in the morning. We finished cleaning house and then waited for Shelly to find Kyle at the airport. After they hooked up and I knew their flight was on it way, there was nothing to do but wait. Beth went to Saturday service so she would not have to get up early tomorrow. We left about 6:45pm for the airport and they arrived right on time. It was so great to see my dear friend again. We stopped and had pizza before coming home. DJ came by and picked up kyle and now we are just sitting around visiting. We are going to Philly tomorrow to see the Liberty bell and other things in that area. We will have cheese steaks from Pat's tomorrow. Today's picture is of Gabby and Buster taking after a hard day of play. Hopefully Gabby can come back for a visit soon.
