Packing and Party...

When we woke up this morning it was snowing and then turned to sheet. It did not last long, but made everything a little slick. We had breakfast and took showers. We headed to BJ's whole club for a few things for the Super bowl party on Sunday. We then stopped at Costco as Beth loves sample day. Then it was on to Party City for paper products. We made it home around 1pm and had lunch. I was able to get 2 suitcases completed packed and ready to go. We only have a few more things let to pack. We were little concerned about the weather the week-end we leave, but it is looking a little better. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Slept late...

I had a hard time going to sleep last night. It might have been all the sugar I ate, but then I did not get up until 9am this morning. I finished doing he last load of laundry and then folded the clothes. Buster went to the groomers at 11am and Beth had a hair appointment at 12:15pm. I put a roast in the over for dinner and Dawn and Rylee came by around 5:30pm. Rylee and I played downstairs until Jo came to pick her up around 7:30pm. It was a little warmer today, but we still have 4 inches of snow on the ground. The are calling for 2 inches of rain next week, so watch out flooding.

Dinner with Kyle...

We were up and at the gym by 8:45am. It was another cold morning and we had about an inch of snow over night. After we got back from the gym, Beth took a shower and I cleaned off the driveway using a shovel. It was not think enough for the little snow blower, but would not melt as it was only 15 degrees out. After I was done, I took a shower and we headed to pick up Beth's computer. We then went to Target and came home. We had a light lunch as we were headed to the Melting Pot for dinner. Kyle passed his driving permit test and can now drive on the rode with an adult. Should be interesting. The Melting Pot had great food as usually and Kyle had a great time. He loved the food and we had great conversation. What a great evening.

Water break...

Beth went down to walk on the treadmill since it was only 5 degrees outside. I played on the computer and finally took a shower around 11am. We had a light lunch as we were taking Kyle to the Melting pot for his birthday. We went to pick him up around 4:25pm and headed to KOP. we got to the place around 5pm and they told us they tried to call, but that they had a water break and were closed until maybe 7:30pm. With dinner taking 2 hours that was way too later. So we will be going back tomorrow. We then went to the Cheesecake factory and dinner.

Day with Kyle...

We were up and at the gym by 8:45am. After we got home, I took a shower and had a light breakfast. I left to go pick up Kyle around 11:30am. I visited with DJ for a while, then Kyle and I left to go have lunch. We then went to a movie and saw Lone Survivor. It was a n ok movie, glad I saw it but don't wish to see it again. When we came out of the movie theater it was really cold and very windy. I dropped Kyle off at his house and came home. Beth had taken Buster to get fitted for a leg brace and got home 2 minutes after I did. Buster will get his new brace on Monday and should help him get around better.

Clearing snow again...

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I rolled out of bed around 8:45am. we had some breakfast and read the paper when she got home. We then went and cleared the driveway and back sidewalk off AGAIN... We came inside and I took a shower. After lunch, I went downstairs to work on printing pictures and the printer would not print correctly. After many attempts, we determined the print cartridge was bad, so we went to staples to get another one. It worked fine, so I printed off pictures of the boys racing and will work on their books. We had eggs, hash browns, and bacon for dinner then watched the movie The Butler. It was very interesting and had a lot of big name stars that have very little roles.

More packing....

We were up around 8am this morning. It looked like it was about ready to snow at any time. Beth decided to post her dsi on the yard sale site and it sold quickly. We meet the guy around 11:30am and it was snowing really good by then. The roads were a little slick, but we made it with no problems. I started giving the bedroom and through cleaning. It really needed it and looks better now. I did a load of both sheets and towels. We started doing a little more packing and are so ready to get to warmer weather. The snow dropped another 2 inches before it was done. We will not climb out of the 20's all week, so it will be another cold one.

Almost made it...

We were up and at the gym by 9:30am. I have only 4 more visits to fulfill my contract and then start another one. We stopped and got both bird food and deer food. We unloaded the truck and Beth filled up the bird feeders. I wanted to put out the deer food at night so the birds would not eat it. Maybe we can see the deer in the morning. We were in the office when someone rang the door bell. It was the grandmother of the lady across the street. She had locked herself out of house and asked to use the phone. Diana, her granddaughter, worked at the school. She called her and her daughter, but had to leave a message for them. She was going to go back over and wait in the garage, but we would not let her. It was too cold out and until some called she could just stay in the house with us. She did not even have a coat on. She was going out to get mail and the dog started outside, so she closed the door, not realizing it was locked. So she was here about 20 minutes and her daughter came over to unlock the door. We then had lunch and went to the mall for valentine's day cards for the kids. We then went to Game Stop and then came home. Beth made beefaroni for dinner with salad and it was really good. We went to Best Buy after dinner for a couple things and boy was it really cold out. We are suppose to get maybe a inch of snow, so we will see.

Heat wave... Not

Beth was up first and I got up around 8:30am. She was not feeling well, so I went to the gym by myself. It was really cold out, but it felt good after the gym workout. I came home and had a shower. I then left after lunch to go to Wal-Mart, CVS, and the dry cleaners. DJ stopped by and Beth showed her how to use the snow blower, incase she needed to clean off our drive while we were gone. The bug guy was here and it was another new guy. Beth went to take a nap after he left and she felt better when she got up. I fixed the chicken, ham, and string cheese rolls ups for dinner and Dawn and Rylee really like them. I think it got to 21 degrees, but it was still in the low single digits with the wind. They say we could get an inch or so of snow this week-end.

Lots of snow....

We woke to a total of 8 inches of snow. We both got dressed and went outside to remove it. Beth was on the big tractor and I used the little snow blower. We had the driveway and both sidewalks cleaned off in an hour and half. It was really cold out and the wind was blowing. Beth then cleaned off the snow on the porch. I started laundry and took a warm shower. I took Beth to the doctor's for her appointment. The highway was dry and clean, but some of the side street were still slick. Our driveway was down to the asphalt in most places. We went to Costco and then out for an early dinner. The high today did get to 11 degrees, but with the wind chill it was on 2. Heat wave tomorrow as it is suppose to get to 21.

The snow arrived....

Beth was up and at Dawn and Jo's house around 7:15am. I got up at 7:30am and took a shower. It was just starting to snow then. I dropped off a breakfast to Beth and then went tot the dentist. Looks like I will be getting a crown after we get home from the cruise. I stopped and got milk and the roads were getting bad already. I then went to see how Beth was doing with Rylee. We all three played and had fun. Dawn and Jo came home around 2pm. We then came home and Beth did the first cleaning of the driveway and I cleaned off the back sidewalk. It was still snowing hard and the wind was blowing. Beth feed the birds and they we so happy. We had grilled cheese and soup for dinner. The snow seems to have quit and we got around 8 inches. The wind is still blowing hard and the temperature is 17 and only going to be a high of 8 degrees tomorrow.

Calm before the storm...

We were up and out the door by 8:30am. We saw Dr. Jill for adjustments and then went to the gym. We came home and took showers and then headed to Reading. We stopped by Vanity Fair and the luggage place and picked up another packing folder. We had 2, but had too many dress clothes and needed another one. We then got some new bras. We then went to lunch at Chipotle's and it was sure good. We then went to Barnes and Noble, Toys R Us, and the Restaurant store. We made it back home around 4pm. We had dinner and then I went over to my hair lady's house. She is thinking of going to Disney, so we talked about all the options for a hour or so, and I was back home by 8pm. We are going to get snow tomorrow and they are calling for 3 to 5 inches. Rylee is staying home for school and we get to watch her. Yeaaaaaa

Love the new blanket...

I got up around 8:30am this morning. I loved sleeping with the heated blanket. Beth said she got too hot. I put a roast with carrots in the crock pot for dinner. DJ and Payton came by to get Gabby and visited with us for awhile. We watched Denver win and are now hoping for a Settle win also.

Watching Gabby...

DJ dropped off Gabby around 11am this morning. We then left and went to BJ's wholesale club. Beth picked up her new glasses and I did some shopping. I found a heated blanket for our bed that sis not cost an arm and a leg. We had some lunch and then came home. The Girl scouts are in force selling cookies everywhere you look. We got 3 boxes and put them in the freezer. I then spent the afternoon making Chex mix. Beth went to mass tonight and I put stuffed peppers in the oven. Then next several day are really going to be cold. I so can't wait until we leave for the cruise.

Run around sue....

We were up a little late this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. I headed out to take the clothes to the dry cleanings and then returned some items to Boscov's. I then picked up Beth and we went to the shoe store. I needed new dress shoes for the cruise. We then went to Costco and came home. We had lunch and DJ stopped by for a visit. We then left and went to the bank and I had to get gas, as it was the last day for the grocery gas points. We stopped by Wal-Mart and then came home. So it was a run around day all day....

New mac and cheese...

We were up and at the gym by 9:30am. We stooped by Bed Bath and Beyond on the way home to get some stuff to clean the coffee maker. I started laundry and Beth was having issues with her computer. Just great. Every computer we have has been in the shop with in the last 2 weeks. Dawn and Rylee came by after her doctor's appointment. We had a new mac and cheese recipe and it was alright. I did not like the hotdogs I used for it. We will try it again and make a couple of changes. I have to go shoe shopping tomorrow and of course we have to go to Costco for sampling day.

Formal shopping..

We were up around 8am. Beth said we had to wait to go to the gym as the roads had black ice. So around 9:30am we left and went to the gym. We then stopped by Wal-Mart to get a few things. We got home and I had breakfast as Beth already had hers at 7am. We had to go to the post office and then we stopped by Boscov's. I needed a couple shirt for formal night on the cruise. I found a couple things, but will try them on and see how it fits.

Packing...

We were up early today and Buster had to go to the vet for a few tests. Beth dropped him off and came back home. We then started trying on clothes for the cruise. We were able to get most everything ready to go. I need to find a shirt for a couple formal nights and get my shoes ready. So we are way ahead of the game. Buster came home around noon and Beth finished vacuumed all the floors. We had the lap top back to Best Buy as I could not get the blog to work. They looked at it and did some changes and it was fixed. So we are almost ready for the cruise.

Busy...

We were up and out the door by 8:20am this morning. We had to meet a lady that we purchase some baby dolls from. We then went to the gym and to Target. We came home showered and had lunch. I had to make several phones called and schedule several appointments. I still have to call the insurance company, but that will be an all day event. I have had a head for the last 2 days and nothing seems to fix it. I hope it is just the weather will be gone by tomorrow. I tried a new recipe for dinner tonight and it was good. Take thin slice chicken breast, add a slice of ham, and roll around a cheese stick. Then roll in butter and bread crumbs. Cooks 30 to 40 minutes and yum yum.

Good games..

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up and went to the gym. I need 10 more visits before we leave for the cruise, so it looks like 4 days a week will get me there. I had breakfast and we read the paper when I got home. We then went to the grocery store and picked up the laptop. Both of the football games were good and close games. I fixed shake and back pork chops for dinner will scalloped potatoes and peas. Yum Yum

Clean and football...

Beth was up and out the door by 8:15am. She had to go give blood for her dr. apt next week. I got up and opened Rylee's door and turned off everything. She was still sleeping, so I came into the living room to watch TV. She was up around 9am. Beth brought donut home and we had then for breakfast. She got dressed for dance and Dawn picked her up around 10am. I then went to the gym and was back home around 11am. I washed the sheets on the spare bed and then set the suit cases on it for packing as we go along. I cleaned the bathroom and vacuumed the floors. We settled in to watch the football games and will do so again tomorrow. The weather was kinda weird here today. When I came home form the gym, it was a low hanging fog and it had rained all day long. The temperature was in the low 60's and I expect some flooding tomorrow.

Sleep over...

When we got up this morning it was snowing really hard and it was slick out. We did not go to the gym as the roads were really bad. It finally stopped around 10am. We took showers and headed out to Lowe's, BJ's wholesale club, and to Costco. We got home around 3pm and we both took a nap. We went and dropped off the laptop to be looked at as it was running slow and also acting weird. Jo and Dawn dropped off Rylee  around 6:15pm. She had requested hotdogs, baked beans, and French fries for dinner and of course that is what we had. Her parents left and we ate and then watched the movie Planes. Thne it was milk time, story time, and bed time. We had a great evening.

New freezer...

For some reason I am find it hard to get up at the 7:30am time and sleeping until 8:30am. But that has to stop and I will work on it, Next week. We went down around 10:45 am to clean out the freezer as the guys were suppose to be here between 11 an 1pm. We by 1:30pm there was no sign of them. They finally showed up around 2pm and had the new freezer in 20 minutes later. The out the old one in the garage and I hope we sell it fast. We let it run for a couple hours then put everything back inside. It was so nice to be able to see everything  and we still had some room. Dawn and Rylee came by for dinner and I made steak as Beth had not had it in awhile. It did reach 30 degrees today and I see it should be 50 by the week-end, but rain and snow. I got all the laundry done, but just have to fold and put it way. That will be a project for tomorrow. We are getting Rylee for a sleep over tomorrow as we were suppose to before I had to leave to go to KC. It should be fun.

Computer fixed...

We were up around 8am this morning. I was in a cleaning mood , so when Beth left around 11am, I started on the kitchen. I got all the pantry cabinets cleaned out and threw a lot of stuff away. I had to make 3 trip to the big trash can, but looks so much better and we have more room. Beth was home around 2pm and we then went to the bank and to AAA for our cruise papers. We then picked up Buster at the groomers and came home. We were home about 45 minutes and left again to go pick up my commuter. It is working so much better and I am glad to have it back. We are getting our new freezer delivered tomorrow and can't wait. A least it got to 22 degrees today, but who could tell the difference.

Damn Cold...

I left for the gym around 9:15 am. At time it was 5 degrees with a wind chill of -15. When I got back home, we started cleaning the basement and getting a new place ready for the freezer. I forgot I had a hair appointment at 1 pm and missed that. We rescheduled it for 4 pm. I never got above 9 degrees and the wind blew hard. Looks like it will be 20 degrees tomorrow, heat wave.

Sick computer...

We weer up around 7:30 am this morning. We drove separately to see Dr. Bill. I then went to the gym and Beth can home as see was seeing the shoulder doctor at 10:30 am. When she got home, we finished putting the Christmas stuff in the attic. Most of the snow was gone as it had rained all night. Beth took Buster to the vet for a check-up. We took my computer in as it had several issues. It should be ready on Thursday. We then went a got a ordered a new upright freezer and it will be delivered next Tuesday. So that gives us a week to get the hole for it ready. The polar vetorx will hit us tonight an the high tomorrow will be 9 degrees. So I hope my truck starts in the morning for the gym run.

Ice here...

Beth watched the church service on TV this morning and I slept until 9am. We left around 11am to go to KOP. Beth wanted to check out this camera strap at the camera store and I needed a couple things at the Lego store. We both found nothing. We did stop at Toys R Us and found more than enough there. We headed home and the ice was starting to fall. The highway was not bad, but the side streets were getting slick. Beth got the stuff out of the trunk and headed inside. I shut the trunk and closed the garage door. As I rounded the door opening I say her laying on the ground. The bask steps were a sheet of ice and she fell. Boy did my heart stop on that sight. After determining nothing was broken. I pulled her back to the garage. We were able to get some salt down and made it into the house. Her leg is sore and I am sure more will be later on, but nothing was broken. I hate to see what we wake up to tomorrow.

Lost both games...

We both slept until 9am this morning. We took showers and headed to Best Buy to have then look at my computer. They have now changed things and you have to have an appointment to have them look at a computer. So I guess will have to call Monday. We then went to Staples and Michael's. we stopped and got a hoagie for lunch and then came home. We watched the first have of the Chiefs game here and then went to Dawn and Jo's house for dinner and to watch the rest of football. Both of ours teams lost, but what is new. It was really cold and we are suppose to get freezing rain the next 2 days.

SNOW REMOVAL...

We woke up the morning to about 7 inches of snow. Beth went out to clear the driveway and I worked on the back deck. The wind had dropped about 2 inches on the covered part of the deck. We finished up around noon. The sun was melting most of the stuff left on the driveway and walkway. It was still really cold and the wind did not help. We had lunch and went to Michael's to look at pictures frames and then stopped by to see J and Rylee. The were out sledding in the back yard. We came home and I finished packing up the Christmas stuff downstairs. It al need to go in the attic and it will be all done for another year.

Snow is here...

It has been a very exhausting week and I am glad to be back home. We spent the day getting ready for the big snow storm. I did laundry and unpacked. Beth got the snow blower ready and in the garage. We got most of the Christmas stuff in the upstairs down and packed away. Like predicted, the snow started around 4:30 pm. Most of it will hit during the night and we will see what we wake up to tomorrow.
