No more rain...

We woke up this morning to a bright sunny day. Beth went out to fill the lawn roller with water and I fixed breakfast. After breakfast, Beth went to rolling the back yard. With all the rain we had it was a good day for it. Kyle and I began pulling weeds from the back fence area. The ivy is beginning to take over nicely and I hope in a couple more years there will no more weeds there. I then had Kyle start picking up the loose stick in the yard. It was not his favorite task and you could tell he had lost his ability to stick with the job. He did find a big stick that he wanted to carve, so I told him as soon as he was done he could work on it. Beth was about finished rolling the yard. She was on the steep side by the back steps. We talked for a while and she only had a little more to do. Next thing I know she turns loose of the roller and it begins rolling down the hill. Picture this, a 150 pound roller going about 40 feet down hill towards a plastic fence. Can you guess the next part. You are right. It went through the bottom part of the fence taking out the last 2 rows. Of course, we now have a hole in the fence and Buster is outside. So I just looked at her and said did you really think that plastic fence was going to stop the roller, Are you crazy? Well I grabbed Buster before he could see an opportunity to get out and put him in the house. Beth was able to fix the fence and get the roller back inside the fence. Sometimes I have to wonder about her. I took a shower as Dawn was going to drop off Rylee around noon. She was going to pickup the pictures at the mall and it was just easier to do it without her. Beth came in to take a shower and I fixed Kyle some lunch. Dawn dropped Rylee off and headed to the mall. Beth got out of shower and got dressed. I handed her Rylee and I had to leave for my follow up doctor's appointment. My knees are better and we have determined that something causes them to hurt when I sit wrong in the chair. I have had no problems since we returned home from Disney and sit differently in the new chair. So the doctor said I would be back to see him sometime in the future as I did have arthritis, but it would be awhile. I got home and Dawn has here. She was going to show us a house down the street that is for sale. They are looking for a new place and Beth's parents might be. We walked down to see it and let me tell you it was no where close to being a $255,000 house. I would give you maybe $100.000. It looked like it had one owner and had never had any updating done in the last 30+ years. It needed a lot of work. So we left and came home. I had to take Kyle to baseball practice at the school. We got there and found a note saying no practice due to wet fields. Well duhhhh. So we came back home. I dropped off Kyle and picked up Beth. We went to Lowe's to get sinks, toilet, faucets, and playground mulch. They had nothing in stock we wanted, so we left and came home. We will try a different store tomorrow. We had dinner with DJ, Maggie, and Payton tonight. It was a great time. We stopped by Rita's for water ice. Kyle and I had Peeps favor and Beth had Swedish fish favor. They were both really good. I am hoping to get a little more work out of Kyle tomorrow then I got today. We still have several projects to do and it is going to be another nice day. We will be coming to KC on April 22 and staying til April 30 or so. It should be a fun trip. Today's picture is of a big topiary troll at Disney.

Another rainy day...

We were up early this morning as we had a busy day. We had breakfast and then Beth took me to get my truck. We dropped it off Sunday night for the inspection and emission test. I then had to go over and pick up Kyle as he will be staying with us the next 3 days since he is on spring break. We were hoping to do some stuff outside, but it looks like rain most of the time he is here. We came home and picked up Beth. We were going to see Alice in Wonderland at the movies, but we had to stop at the bank first. Since we had not had lunch yet, we ordered hot dogs and pizza there. It cost around 80 buck for tickets and lunch. The movie was great. We were going to drop Kyle off at baseball practice but no one could say for sure if he was having it since it was raining. So he skipped it. We came home and I laid on the bed cause my neck was killing me, Kyle watched a movie, and Beth was on the computer. We ordered dinner around 4:45pm and Beth went to go pick it up. Beth and I were meeting Dawn and Jo for a class at their church because we are Godparents for Rylee and she is being baptised this weekend. It rained all day and was in the low 40's all day. Tomorrow is another busy day and more rain. Yea us... More pictures from Disney...

Rainy day...

We woke up to a rainy cold day this morning. We had breakfast and then headed to Lowe's. We are going to do some cosmetic changes to the guest bathroom and wanted to see what these changes would cost. I can't talk Beth out of doing them, so I might as well get with the program. Not too bad, should only be around 500 bucks. We came home and had lunch and I went to scrap book and Beth went to the AAA store to pay for our cruise. We had left over brisket for dinner and it was just as good the second night. I had to finish cleaning off the guest bed as Kyle will be coming over tomorrow and spending the next 3 days with us. I hope to get some work out of him, but between his baseball practice and the weather, we will see. It will be nice to just spend time either way. We are going to see Alice in Wonderland tomorrow. Kyle told his mom he wanted to see it and she said ' Ask Nana'...LOL. That is her line when he wants to see something she does not. He and I have the same taste in movies which is really cool. Today's pictures are more of the topiary plants.

Lazy Sunday ...

We slept late this morning. We did not get up until 9am. We took showers and headed to the diner for breakfast. After breakfast, Beth headed to her parents for a visit. I went downstairs to try and finish the Alaska pictures. I put a brisket in the oven around 2pm. I tried a new rub on it. Beth came home around 6pm. The brisket made the house smell so good and it was very good. We will be keeping this recipe. I finished all the pictures and now need to put them in the book. That will be a tomorrow project.

Baby Day...

I was up at 8am this morning and Beth got up at 8:30am. I made us breakfast and Beth took a shower. Jo brought Rylee over around 10am. We were watching her as they were going to see the boys. She was asleep when Jo got here and continued to sleep until 1pm. Beth tried everything she could to wake her up, but it was no good. She final woke up and was hungry, so Beth feed her. We played for about an 1hour and 45 minutes. She was such a chatter box. We put several of the Disney pins on the canvas we had and she loved looking at all the colors. She began to rub her eyes and Beth stuck the bink in her mouth and off to sleep she went. Her parents came by around 4pm to pick her up. Beth went to 5:30pm mass and then stopped by to pick me up afterwards. We headed to the Beef and Beer fundraiser for Chrissy's team. It was a lot of fun. We even won $118 on the 50/50 drawing, which is you buy a certain amount of tickets and half the money goes to the team and the other half goes to the lucky ticket winner. Yea us and we will use the money for the June cruise. So off to bed we go for some much needed sleep.

Just another day...

We were up early this morning. We had breakfast and I started laundry. Beth cleaned the spa filters. We have a call into them for service on the hot tub, but are not sure when they will be out. I had to go to CVS and pick up Beth's pills and then went to Target to get my calcium pills which they were out of. After dinner, we went to Kohl's. Beth got a new mini vacuum and we had a coupon. Not much else going on today. We have Rylee tomorrow and then are going to a Beef and Beer fundraiser tomorrow evening. Kinda of a boring day, but it is good to have them every once and awhile. Today's pictures are of the lights they have embedded in the sidewalk at EPCOT. They flash at different speeds and are really cool to see.

Good Night's Sleep...

I went to bed at 10pm and Beth came to bed at 11pm. We both slept until 10am this morning. Oh what a good night's sleep will do for you. We had breakfast and decided that we were not going to make the movies today. We went to Best Buy as Beth's mom wanted to be able to hook up the laptop for Beth's dad to play. We then went to Bed Bath and Beyond. We came home and had lunch. Beth went outside to put together the lawn roller that came today and pull the weeds from the blood grass. I worked on getting the suitcases unpacked and cleaning the living room. Rain is heading our way tonight and tomorrow, so today was the last good day this week. Not much else going on as we slept the day away. Today's pictures are more topiary of the fairies.

We all survived...

Well we all survived the night. Beth fed Rylee around 1:oo am. I was already in bed, but could not really fall asleep. Beth came to bed around 2am. Things were good until 4am and it was my turn to get up with her. I fed her and she went back to sleep. I put her back in the pack-n-play and went back to bed. She was asleep about 45 minutes and started crying again, but was not really awake. We think maybe she was cold in that room. I took her to the living room and we slept in the chair until 7:30am. She woke up happy. We feed her sweet potatoes and she drank 3 oz of milk. She played with Aunt Beth while I took a shower. After Beth got in the shower, Rylee fell asleep for about an hour. Dawn came over just as she was waking up. She was glad to see her mom. We had fun and would watch her again overnight in a heart beat. It is so nice to fall asleep with her cuddled in your arms. We spent the rest of the afternoon not doing anything of much. We went out to dinner as we were too tired to cook. Beth's mom and dad made it home safe today and we are glad to have them back. Although I am not sure they wanted to come back to cold and rainy weather. The hot tub is on the blink again. It will not stay on and heat up, but we are too tired tonight to worry about it. Heading off to bed soon. We want to go see Alice in Wonderland tomorrow. We are going to try for the 3-D version, but they never seem to have it working when we go.

A night with Rylee..

I had my last physical therapy appointment at 9am this morning. We went over a few of the exercises and then a final evaluation. My therapist and I believe that most of my knee problems is caused by my back and I will be talking to the doctor when I go back on the 31th. But for now, things are good and we will see. I then went to Wal-mart as The Blind Side came out today on DVD and I wanted to get it. I did notice when I was leaving the parking lot that Block Buster Video was going out of business and having a sale. So Beth and I went back up to see what they had. All the pre-viewed DVD were on sale for $7.99, which is a good deal. So we looked around and I found about 10 and Beth got a couple, a DS game, and a Wii game. We then came home and had some lunch. Dawn, Jo , and Rylee came over around 2pm. We are watching Rylee overnight as they are going to see the Lion King show in Philly. We are excited and looking forward to having the little one. Things have been good so far. She is learning to make noises and loves to make them. We are doing well on the feeding and changing routine. Beth is taking the late shift and I will take the early shift. Dawn will be by to get her after her 9am hair appointment. Wish us luck...LOL

What a difference...

Boy what a difference 24 hours makes. When we got up this morning it was cold and rain. Sure a lot different than yesterday morning. We had to see Dr. Bill at 9am, but he was not in today so we saw Dr. Jill. We then headed to Beth's mom's house. we needed to turn the heat up and plug everything in as they will be home on Wednesday. We then went to the pool store to get new spa filters and cleaner. Then finally on to Super Wal-Mart. I fixed lunch when we got home and Beth went to get Buster some dog food. I finished folding the laundry and tried to take a nap, but did not happen. I fixed Crusty Chicken Romano for dinner. It is Beth's favorite meal after steak. I finished printing the Alaska pictures and should be done scrap booking them by the end of the week. My goal this year is to get caught up on all the pictures I have taken. It will be tough with 3 more trips this year still to take. I have so many pictures of the kids still to do also. Today's pictures are of some of the topiary that were in EPCOT.

A day in the sun...

Beth went to church and I slept in. After she got home, we went to the diner for breakfast. After breakfast it was a nice day, so we headed to the first of many trips to Lowe's. We got top soil, peat moss, and 4 plants. The flower beds are in need of spring cleaning. So I worked on the ones out front and Beth worked on Pooh's corner. Hers needed more work and took longer. Most of the bulb plants are coming up and starting to bloom. Then I had to change the bird bath water and fill it up. I headed inside around 2pm to make lunch. I hate spring only because of the allergies it brings. My head feels light and I have a cough from drainage. What a pain. Beth finished up and did a couple more things in the yard. I started dinner, steaks on the grill. It is supposed to rain the next couple of days, so I will work on putting away the Disney stuff then. We wanted to enjoy the nice weather before it turns yucky again. The picture is of JoJo in her Ariel dress, Ariel wears this after she is made human, with mermaid Ariel in her ocean cave in the Magic Kingdom. JoJo was awe struck with all the Princess that she met that day, but Ariel was her favorite.

The day after Disney...

Boy was it nice to sleep in our own bed. We did not get up until after 9am. We had left over cold pizza for breakfast and then I went to the store. Beth took a shower and Played on POGO. We had lunch and I unpacked the clothes from the suitcase and started laundry. Dawn and Jo came by around 3pm to pick up Dawn's car. We were invited over to DJ and Maggie's house for burgers and Hot dogs on the grill. It was a nice dinner and a great visit. Not much else today. It is kinda a let down being the day after Disney, but we know we will be back in October. It was great weather here today. In the middle 70's and sunny. It is nice wearing shorts again, but we know it will not last and will be rain and cold by the first part of the week. I haven't uploaded the pictures from the laptop yet, so no picture tonight.

Home from Disney...

We were up at 5:45 this morning. We only a little bit of packing left to do. We called for a bell hop to help with the bags, while Beth and Lynne went to get breakfast. we were scheduled to catch the bus at 7:35am, but were able to get on the 7:05 am bus and go to the airport a little early. What we made up there we lost trying to get through security. Our plane was on time and the flight was nice a smooth. We landed in Philly at 1pm. We stopped at Olive Garden for lunch, then came home and unload the car. We picked up Buster, who was so happy to see us and headed back home. Dawn and Rylee came over around 5pm and Jo stopped and picked up pizza for dinner. It was nice to visit with the them and play with Rylee a while. She is smiling a lot more and trying to giggle. we will be glad to sleep in our own bead tonight. The beds we had we not the most comfortable ones we have had there. Maggie was able to work on my computer while we were gone, so I will have to hook it up tomorrow and see how it works. Today's picture is of Beth and Jojo inside Bruce.

Our Last Day ...

Today we got up around 7:00, we wanted to get to EPCOT early so that we could ride SOARIN'. Mission accomplished! JoJo was crying at the end, because she wanted to ride it again but the wait was over an hour. We rode the boat ride Living with the Land, which goes through the Disney Food Labs and some of their experimental gardens. They grow veggies in the air, sand and containers. Tomato trees that produce thousands of tomatoes and live for 16 months.
After that Jeanette and I went back to our room to print our boarding passes and just rest. We met up with Kim, Lynne and JoJo for dinner at EPCOT at the Garden Grill. It was a character meal and JoJo got to meet Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Chip and Dale. She is standing with Dale in the picture. Jeanette is now packing us up and we will fly out tomorrow morning.

Day 5 in Disney...

We were out the door this morning at 8am and on our way to Animal Kingdom. It was a little cooler this morning and a chance of rain later in the afternoon, but we could not turn down the chance to wear shorts. We headed to the back to do the safari first. We were able to see a lot of the animals and even had to stop for a while because an ostrich was in the middle of the road. After about 5 minutes she moved and we continued on. Animals have the right of way here. We then headed over to the Expedition Everest roller coaster ride. there was already a hour and 10 minute wait and the fast pass was at 1:30PM. So I got into line and the rest went to Dino land. As I moved slowly up the line the fast pass time got farther out. By the time I finally made it to the front the fast pass time was 2pm. I got the passes and headed to meet the others. Jojo had a melt down because she was not tall enough to ride on of the ride and did not want to do anything else. We went and stood in line for the Finding Nemo show. It was really good. We had lunch and I went to go shopping while they went to ride the roller coaster. Beth and Jojo rode the first round. Jojo did not like it and did not want to ride it again so they came to find me. Beth, Jojo and I went to see It's tough to be a Bug. We then went to get get autographs and then headed to the Boardwalk Resort. We had dinner reservation at EPCOT at 5:40 and took the boat to the back of the park so we did not have to walk so far. We had dinner at the German place and love the food there. After dinner, we had to walk to the front of the park to catch the bus and head home. We are tired and have another long day tomorrow. It is our last full day in Disney.

Day 4 in Disney...

We had to get up early this morning as we had breakfast with the princesses. We caught the bus at 8:15am and headed to Magic Kingdom. The park did not open until 9am, but were able to get in early with breakfast reservations. It was nice. We were able to get several pictures of Jojo in front of the castle with no crowds. We then headed in to the castle for our breakfast. Jojo was so surprised to see Cinderella. Jojo was all dressed in her Ariel outfit. We then headed upstairs to have breakfast and meet the other princesses. She had a great time and they all signed her book. After breakfast, we did a bunch more rides and finally headed over to EPCOT. We had lunch and Beth went to see if we could get Sorin' fast passes. The wait for the ride was 115 minutes and there were no fast passes available. we decided to come back and do that and Fast Track on Thursday. We did some shows and a few rides then headed back to the countries. We were good in the first 2 countries and then everyone got tired and our feet hurt. We made our way out of the park and got on the monorail. We had dinner in the Contemporary and took the boat back home. We went to the hot tub and boy did it feel good. We have another long day tomorrow at Animal Kingdom. Today's picture is of JoJo with JoJo, the main character of a Disney Channel show JoJo's Circus.

Day 3 in Disney...

We slept in the morning and nice. We had lunch reservations at the Liberty Tree Tavern at 11:55am. The food is always great. I had a chicken salad and Beth had pot roast. we then took Jojo over for her Boutique reservation. She first got to pick put the dress she wanted which was Ariel and then the shoes. They called us back and we dressed Jojo in her dress and shoes and waited out front to be called back for her hair and makeup. The fairy godmother that did her hair was great and she did a good job. Makeup and nails were next. She looked really great as you can see in today's picture. We then headed to the front of the park for picture taking. They take several different poses and you can choose 3 for the package deal. The rest are on the Disney photopass along with the ones they take during the sitting session. Kim and Lynne meet up with us and we headed back to the resort. Beth, Jojo, and Kim went to the pool. I did a couple loads of laundry and Lynne watched TV. We left the room around 6pm and headed to downtown Disney. We shopped a little while and then had dinner at Earl of Sandwich. I had a Turkey with a sauce of cranberry and buttermilk. Beth had an Italian. I went to the soap place. They have a large selection of soap bars. Beth had to exchange a gift we got for Payton last time we were here and we all meet at the World of Disney. I found some scrapbook items that were not here in January. We then took the bus over to the Polynesian Resort to watch the fireworks. It was a great show and a lot less crowed. Then took the Monorail to the Contemporary resort to catch the boat to our home. It was a long day and we have early breakfast plans, so off to bed.

Day 2 in Disney..

We were up at 6:15 this morning. We lost an hours sleep last night due to daylight saving time. It did not really matter to me as I am not sleeping well at night anyway. I am trying to kick the sleeping pill habit and it is not going well. Only sleep a couple hours at a time, so I have been really tired the last couple of days. But this is just as good as a place as any to start. We headed to Hollywood Studios at 8am. We were pretty close to the front for rope drop. Beth had our tickets, so she could walk fast ahead and get us fast passes for the Toy Story ride. We had prefect timing as we got in line for the ride just a Beth finished getting the tickets. I love this ride and so does everyone else. We then headed to see The little Mermaid show. It was cute and Jojo loved it. We went to look at pins and then on to ride Toy Story again. Jojo had the first of many melt downs. We had lunch reservations at 11:30am at Hollywood and Vine. Jojo was able meet several characters. We then headed over to see a Beauty and the Beast show. It was good, but my camera battery died in the beginning. We took the little camera this trip and it does not take as many pictures as the big one, but is easier to carry around. We watched the 3pm parade and then hit a few shops before getting on the bus back to the resort. Beth took a nap, I rested, and the rest went to the pool. We left for dinner at 6pm and were going to take the boat over to the Contemporary resort. The wind was really bad and they had already cancelled the boat to Magic Kingdom. We finally got on the boat and went to the first stop at Fort Wilderness. They told us that the rest of the ride was cancelled and we had to get off. So we had dinner there and had to catch the bus back. It was a long day, but the sun was shinning bright. We are hoping to sleep in a little late tomorrow. We are taking Jojo to the Boutique tomorrow. I am hoping for a day of no whining, but fear it will not come. Today's picture is of Beth and Jojo in front of the Miss Piggy fountain.

Melt Down City...

Kim and Lynne finally arrived around 1:30am. We were all pretty tired by bed time. We slept in til 8am and still could have slept a couple more hours. We had breakfast and headed to Magic Kingdom. Jojo was excited to see the castle. We were not inside the gate 5 minutes and she had a melt down. She wanted to wear a Cinderella dress and they did not bring one. So she whined the next 30 minutes. Beth and Kim finally went to get her a dress and she was still not happy cause she did not get crown. Oh my god. Everywhere we went, Jojo had a whining fit. By noon, I was done and could not take any more. We had lunch at the Crystal Palace and then headed back to the resort. Jojo was a little better after lunch. Kim and Lynne took Jojo to the pool and Beth and I went to EPCOT. They have the Flower and Garden festival going on. They have a lot of flower and Topiary out. We watched Paul Revere and the Raiders concert. They were pretty good. We took the monorail back to the Contemporary and had dinner. Beth had a hot roast beef and I had a turkey sandwich with apples on it. They were both great. We are heading to bed early as we are very tired. We have to get up at 6am as we want to be at Hollywood studios at rope drop for the Toy Story ride. Today's picture is of Jojo and Tigger.

What a day of delays...

We were up at 5am this morning. We made pretty good time on the trip to the airport. We did not have to wait long for the bus to take us to the terminal. The line for the Southwest curbside checkin was long, but only took us about 20 minutes to get our bags checked in. We then headed to the security line and of course it was long, but again it only took about 20 minutes to get to the gate. We found out that our flight was delayed. We were to leave at 9:20 and it was changed to 10:05. We found out the there was a high school marching band and a men's college lacrosse team on our flight. We were lucky that we had an A boarding pass, but it did not really matter as it was a full flight. We had to wait on the runway for about 25 minutes for our turn to take off. It was starting to rain when we left and we had a pretty good flight the first hour and a half. The other hour was so bumpy and rough. The pilot said there was no good weather at any level, so we were just going to ride it out. We finally landed and it was raining, but the temperature was 62. It felt nice but was humid. We made our way to the Magical Express and headed to the resort. Upon checking in, we found our room was ready and we grabbed our purple box and headed to the room. We unloaded our carry on and the purple box. We slipped into shorts and rain jackets and headed to the bus for downtown Disney. It took forever for the bus to finally come. We finally made our way to downtown and got Jojo her Mickey's ears. I got new ears also, as the only ones I have are of a snowman. Today's picture is of our ears. Kim called us to let us know that their flight was going to be delayed 3 hours, due to weather. So they will not be getting to the resort until after midnight. We cancelled our breakfast reservation which were at 7:30 in the morning and will sleep in. The weather is going to be great tomorrow. Sunny and in the upper 70's. Can't wait.

Reday to go....

One year ago we started the blogging process. It was mostly a way to let our family and friends know what we were doing and to keep a record of our travels. Both of our mom's are very attached to our blog and become concerned if we do not put something out there every night. I must admit, some nights we just don't have anything to say as it was a very boring day and then other days we could write forever. It has been fun tracking our daily events, so thank you for reading it. We finished packing and cleaning the house. Beth went to her mom's to water the plants and I had to go see Dr. Bill. I had a rib out of place and wanted to get it fixed before leaving tomorrow for Disney. We are having our traditional night before we leave dinner, Pizza. We always take the leftovers for the next day's trip. We then have to go drop off Buster at DJ and Maggie's house. Kim and Lynne are coming by sometime this evening to drop off their bags. We have a 9:20am flight in the morning and will leave here around 6am. I hope it is not raining too hard in the morning. So off to Disney we go and thanks for reading our blog.

Time is ticking so slow...

Another busy day we had today. Had to get up early as Buster had a grooming appointment at 9:30am. We had breakfast and off we went. We first dropped Buster off. He did not really seem to excited this morning to go, but too bad. We then went Lowe's. The connector of the front hose rusted off so we had to get a new one to mend the hose. Poor birds needed clean water. Then to the Pack-n-Ship so Beth could mail in her tax information. I am very proud of her for not waiting until the last minute. We then stopped at Boscov's. Beth needed a new swimming suit and we found one there. Then on to A.C. Moore as our last picture was ready to pick up. Of course we needed a couple things at Target and then the grocery store. I had to fill the truck as I had 30 cents a gallon off at the Giant gas station and it expires this weekend. I like getting gas for $2.39 a gallon. We finally pulled back into the driveway around noon. The groomer from PetSmart called and said Buster was ready and wanted to come home. So Beth went to pick him up and I finished drying his bedding. If he is clean, then his bedding should be clean. We had lunch and I dusted the bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room and Beth vacuumed the floors. I packed up all the Christmas cherished teddies and we will put out the summer ones when we get back. We then went to game stop. I got a couple of games last week and could not even get past the first level. So since it was within the 7 days I took them back and got 3 different ones. Beth made Philly cheese steak sandwiches for dinner. Yum Yum. Beth did make her packing deadline and we are all ready to go. Only a few things left on the list and most of them can't be completed yet. Tomorrow will be another busy day. We did learn that Disney now has resort airline check-in for SouthWest, which we mostly fly. We are hoping it is true and we do not have to worry about luggage check in at the airport. Cross your fingers. today's pictures are the 2 we had framed. they look a lot better framed, but you will just have to come see for yourself.

Tuesday - Sunny and Nice

Today was a great day weather wise. Jeanette cut the dead bloodgrass down and puttered around the yard this afternoon. I had to clean the hot tub filters and give the wooden display unit another coat of black paint. I also started packing for Disney, I have a few more items to throw in and then I'll be done. No picture today.

A day with Rylee...

Jo dropped Rylee off around 8am this morning. She is such a joy to watch and play with. She took about a 45 minute power nap around 10:15am. Then around noon she became very cranky and was crying real tears. Nothing was wrong other than she was so tired. Beth found that if you feed her, she will go to sleep and stop crying. She hates it when one of the kids is crying and she can't do anything for them. I had to leave at 12:15 as I had a hair appointment. I called an hour later and both of them were sleeping, so I knew it was safe to do some shopping. Dawn was there when I got home and Rylee was still sleeping. She slept until 4:30 and woke up screaming. Guess she was hungry, so we fed her. Dawn said that this was normal for her so we felt better. We ordered dinner and Jo picked it up on her way over. We had dinner while Rylee sat in her seat and was very content. She really hates to go to sleep for fear she will miss something. But as you can see from today's picture she is a cutie.

Car Cleaning Day...

I took Advil PM last night to see if it would work instead of my sleeping pills. No such luck. I was awake most of the night and finally was able to fall asleep around 4am. Beth was up and ready for church at 7:30am. I on the other hand slept until 9am and was still tired when I got up. I fixed us breakfast and we read the Sunday paper. It was another nice day. I spent about a 1/2 hour cleaning out the flower bed next to the house. Most of the spring bulb flowers are coming up and it needed to be raked out. Beth began painting the holder we are going to use for our Disney Vinylnation collection. I filled all the bird feeders and changed the water in the bird bath. Our feather friends should be happy now. I went down to do a little scrap booking. Beth was going to clean out the jeep and the car. They were both really yucky inside. Dawn came over around 1pm to pick up the truck. She was going to move her couch and chair out as they have new carpet going down tomorrow. They purchased a new couch and chair and it will be delivered on Tuesday. So we get to watch the little princess tomorrow while the carpet is being installed and then we will have dinner with the Dawn, Jo, and Rylee. We are hoping to see alot of flowers in bloom when we are at Disney in 5 days.

Kid Watching...

DJ and Maggie got here around 8am this morning. Payton was going to go with them and play with Jamie's daughter. After being here about 10 minutes he said he wanted to stay here and got out the coloring books and crayons. He and Aunt Beth began to color. Kyle had a project and a report he had to work on. He must have it finished by Monday or he can not play baseball. We walked Maggie and DJ to their car and Payton changed his mind again and wanted to go. You know 3 year olds. They live in the now. So off they went and we went to breakfast at the diner. After that we came home and Kyle started working on his project. I had to go to CVS again. The doctor called yesterday and wanted to lower my Synthroid again, so I had to get a new prescription. I just filled the old one on Monday and never got to use any of them. What a waste of 25 bucks. I then had to go pick up the dry cleaning, drop of 2 bags of cloths at the good will box, and head to the grocery store. Beth left around noon to go run some errands. I had to stay in the office with Kyle while he did his project on the computer. He proved last time he was here he could not be trusted to be on the computer. He signed up for a My Space page after both his mom and I told him NO. So now I have to be in the room until I feel he can be trusted. It took him a hour to do a simple title page for his project. Talk about watching a pot boil. Beth brought lunch home around 1:30pm. DJ came by around 3pm to get Kyle. Maggie and Payton were in the car sleeping. They asked if we wanted to meet them for dinner around 5 at the Chinese buffet place and we said sure. So we came back in the house and Beth was on POGO and I fell asleep in the chair. We meet them a little after 5pm and had a good dinner. We came home afterwards and are relaxing. I did get some packing done and can't wait for Friday. The hot tub is working better and I can't wait to get in it. I am kinda tired tonight and hoping to not take a sleeping pill. We will see how that goes. The weather was great today and I am hoping to work outside a little tomorrow.

Dinner was Subway sandwiches. Tomorrow we are watching Payton & Kyle for Maggie & DJ while they help a friend move. No picture today.

Good-Bye Sam's Club...

I had physical therapy this morning at 9am and Beth had a doctor's appoint at 9am in Allentown. Dawn was going to try and come over at 10:30am if she could change her phone interview. She was not able to and called around 11am and said she was on her way. We wanted to go to Exton to Cheeseburgers in Paradise for lunch and then to Sam's club. Rylee was asleep when we entered the restaurant. I woke her up so she could eat and the expression on her face was priceless. There were so many bright lights that her eyes got really big trying to take in all in. She was not interested in drinking, only looking at all the lights. We then went to Sam's one last time. We decided to stay with the BJ's membership and my Sam's club membership was due this month. It took 5 people to figure out how to cancel it and 20 questions as to why. Even Rylee was getting annoyed. We then headed home. Beth worked on the hot tub. I went to get in it last night and the temperature was only 91 degrees. The panel read low flow, so we knew the filters needed to be cleaned. So Beth pulled them out and boy want a mess they were. We have to get new ones tomorrow, so another night with no hot tub. Kim dropped off Jojo around 4:30pm. She had parent teacher conferences tonight. Jojo kept asking Kim when she was leaving and even helped her put on her coat. She wanted Aunt Beth all to herself. It was so cute. Kim and Jojo left around 6:30pm. She was not happy at all about leaving, but she never is. Most of the snow is gone. There is some some left where it was piled, but you can see most of the yard. A lot of the bulb flower are coming up, so we will have little time to clean out the beds. Some of the beds still have snow, so who knows what is coming up underneath it. We are so looking forward to our flower bed being full of color as in today's picture instead of all white and boring.

Great Day..

I had to get up early and go give blood at 8:30am. There were not a lot of people there, but I was glad I had an appointment. I only had to wait 10 minutes and was done 5 minutes after that. Beth was able to call Disney and change our October resort to the Bay Lake towers. We were not able to get the Magic Kingdom view, but did get the lake view. They have a direct monorail to EPCOT, where is where we will be spending most of our time. So things were great. I was able to go through the hall pantry closet and clean out some stuff while Beth went to her mom's house. I spent the rest of the afternoon scrap booking and Beth was on POGO. Today is Wednesday and the new badges came out. We did use the new George Foreman grill twice today and I love it. It is so easy to clean up now that you can take the plates off and clean them. The weather was nice and did not get any rain or snow. The weather is looking great for the weekend, so I think the guy was wrong in getting 40 inches of snow. The weather at Disney is looking better and better. It looks like the high will be in the low to middle 70's each day. We are done to single digit days and are so excited. A rare photo in front of the castle without anybody else in the picture. 9 more days till I'm in my Happy Place!!!!!

Busy day...

Beth and I have played tag team all day today. We had to get up early as Dawn was bringing over Rylee at 8am. Dawn left a little after 8:15am for her class and I had to leave at 8:30. I wanted to get in to PT early as I had to give them my new insurance card, pay the $50 co pay, and cancel some appointments. I did leave at 9:45am and when to the store. Beth needed bananas and I wanted to fix Crusted Romano chicken for dinner. Beth was able to have the doctor's office fax over her script for her blood work, so she did not have to go to Allentown. So as soon as I got home, she left to go to the post office and then to get blood work done. Mom a package is on it way to you. Beth had already feed Rylee and she was sleeping, but woke up when I came home. So we did the hand off thing and Beth left. Rylee and I played for a long time. She is able to smile at you now and she is so cute. She was getting a little fussy around 11am. I knew she was only tired and will fight sleep all the way. I did change her diaper as she hates to have a wet or messy diaper. We sat in the chair and I rocked her. She would cry so as not to go to sleep, but lost the battle about 20 minutes later. She was asleep when Beth got home around noon. Dawn came by around 12:30 and I had to leave at 1pm to go to the doctor's. I had to go through the process of changing the insurance information at the doctor's office. What a pain in the butt it is. I finally was called back and the nurse took all the information. I waited about 15 minutes and the nurse came in to tell me that my doctor just got sick and had to leave and could I see another doctor. I said yes but did not like the doctor I saw. I had him in the beginning and changed after a couple of visits. He did explain that being on the sleeping pills was habit forming, which I already knew and we talked about how to ween off of them. So I have 3 more months supply and 90 to kick the habit. Great just great. I figure Disney will be a good place to start since we are so tired in the evening I won't need a pill. There is not much on TV tonight, so it is off to the hot tub. Beth is still not able to go. Her wound is healing and is very itchy today. The nurse said she could put some cream on it to help with the healing and itchy. We should hear something by the end of the weeks as to the green spots. We will attempt to change our October Disney resort to the Bay lake tower tomorrow. We are hoping for a Magic Kingdom view, as we have never stayed there before and thought it might be nice to see what it is like. I have to give blood in the morning to see if the low dose of Synthroid is raising my levels. So the morning is busy, but the rest of the day is slow. It was in the low 50's today, but we are to get snow slush tonight and tomorrow. The roads are too warm for it to stick, so it should not be a big deal if we get snow. Today's picture is of Jojo trying to figure out why Aunt Beth is resting when they are building a fort. There is no resting...

Turning green...

We were up early as we appointments to see Dr. Bill. Beth noticed, as she was getting out of the shower, there were green patches on her chest. So she called the doctor and was able to get in at 9:30am this morning. So we saw Dr. Bill and headed to the appointment. The doctor came in and said it looked like a fungus, but wanted to do a skin slice. So she deadened it with a needle, then took out a razor and cut the area where the green patch was. It did not bleed too much and Beth said she did not feel anything. They used a silver nitrite stick to stop the bleeding and put a bandage on it. She said to use some anti-fungal cream until we get the results back in a couple of days. We tried to figure out where she got it and the only things we can think of is the hot tub. So when we got home, Beth took a sample of the water to get tested, but nothing showed up. So who know where she got it. I went to CVS to change our insurance information and to get this month's pills. I am going to hate this new insurance, but you can't be without it. I have to go back to see the same doctor Beth and I saw today tomorrow. My cancer doctor wants me to get my sleeping pills form my regular doctor now and since they don't have them on file I have to go in and see her first. So I have PT at 9am and then the doctor at 1:30pm. What a busy week it has been so far. Tomorrow we get Rylee, so it will make both of our days. Today's picture is of Jojo watching Aunt Beth go down the sled track.
