Alarm review...

Beth was up and gone by 8;30am this morning. She had an appointment with Dr. Bill at 9am and then a doctor's appointment at 10:30am for her blood pressure check. I got up around 9am and had breakfast and went outside to pull weeds. I was able to get the bed by the house and the bed by the flag pole done. I sprayed the pool area and the Scott's guy came to treat the lawn. The company we used last year really set us back and we have all sorts of weeds this year. Beth came home around noon and we had lunch. The alarm guy called and said he should be here around 4:30pm. I hate that every time we cook bacon it sets the alarm off. So we waited and watched the Phillies lose their ball game. The guy called and said he was at the airport and headed for our house. We knew that time of the day, he would not be here until 6:30pm. And sure enough he was here at 6:30pm. He looked over the system and found that we needed a new battery. He was not really able to tell us why the alarm goes off when cooking. He did say the vent needed to be taped better and that might cause the smoke to set off the alarm. So we will put it into test mode next time and see what we can see when cooking bacon. We ordered Chinese for dinner and will have steak tomorrow night.

Phanatic visit...

We were up around 8:30am this morning. we did not get any weeds pulled, but they will be there tomorrow. We had breakfast and showers and left for Rylee's day care. The Phillie Phanatic was coming to she day care for a visit. We got there and she was glad to see us. She showed me around her classroom and we played with some toys. The Phanatic came into her room and she was not scared at all. She was the only one that would go up to him and touch him. We think Disney is going to be for her. We left and took her with us. We came home and had some lunch. I went to put her down in the pack n play and she was fine for awhile, but started crying. So I put her on the bed with me and we just rested for about an hour. She was tired, but would not go to sleep. So we go up and headed to the bank. She lasted about 10 minutes and was asleep. We drove around the long way to Target, as she needed a swim suit and shoes. She woke up just as we pulled into the driveway, so she had a good 45 minute nap. We changed and went swimming for about an hour. We changed and Beth went to pick up my truck and drop off the caddy. Rylee and I went downstairs to play. Jo came to pick up Rylee around 6ish. we had a great day with her. I fixed another new item for dinner. It is a sourdough bread with cheddar cheese, bacon, and thousand island dressing grilled in butter. Boy was it good and we look forward to having it again.

Car number 1 in...

We got up around 7:15am this morning and took showers. We had to have the jetta to the detailing guy by 9am. I followed Beth over to drop the jetta off and then went to Quest, so Beth could give blood. She did not have to wait long and was done in about 30 minutes. We then went to Kim and Lynne's house to check the border paper and it was still on the wall. So we put all the furniture back and then came home. The air conditioner guy was here early to service the unit and found one problem. There was a wire that was burning through the cover and would have required a service call soon. Thank god for preventative measures. We then left and went to the movies. we had a free ticket and wanted to see Cars 2. When we went to pay, we were told the movie was too new and we could not use the free ticket. Who ever heard of that. So now I have to see if there is anything I want to see before the end of the month. We went and dropped of the truck and picked up the jetta. We then went to Best Buy and bought the Toy Story box set. I have seen bit and each story, but have never seen then all the way through. We then went to Lowe's to get a new filter for the refrigerator. We had dinner at Lone Star and then came home. We had a 30 minute rain shower, so it should make pulling weeds a little easier in the morning. We have to go to Rylee's daycare tomorrow around 10:30 as the Phillies mascot is going to be there for the kids. It should be fun.

Rest Order...

We were able to get in to see Dr. Bill the morning. After will needed adjustments, he told us to rest and take it easy today. And that was fine by us. We came home and Beth finished doing her parents bills and making a few calls. I finally had to call the dentist and make an appointment. I could not get in until mid July, which I hope will not effect my cancer scan. We had some lunch and I had to leave to go get my hair cut and colored. Beth had a gyno appointment at 3:30pm, so she was gone when I came home. We had something new for dinner. I have cut several recipes from the Food Network magazine and tonight we made one. It was in the what I call the Pick A section. It was you pick a type of pasta, a protein, 2 vegetables, one add in, and a dressing from the list they have selected. So we used a shell pasta with chicken, carrots, peas, sunflower seeds, with a creamy Parmesan cheese dressing. It was really good hot, so we will see how it is tomorrow cold for lunch. We have appointments to get all 3 vehicles detailed over the next 3 days. So we will drop off the jetta tomorrow and we are going to see Cars 2 at the movie theater. I have a free ticket that will expire the end of the month, so now is a good time to go.

Thistle pulling...

Beth went to church and then picked me up for breakfast. The diner is not full at all and we got our breakfast right away. They are closing on Tuesday for 4 weeks, so we will have to find another place for that time period. We then stopped at WaWa for milk and a paper. We both still have sore backs, so we will be seeing Dr. Bill on Monday. We had some lunch and then went to CVS and to the bank. Later in the day we had to pull the thistles on the back bank. They were getting bad and starting to flower. Lord knows we don't need any new ones sprouting. We were able to get 4 bags which was about 95% of them. I made dinner of hotdogs and hamburgers with corn on the cob. Since Beth has to leaving on July 5th to go to her brother's, we are having the July 4th party on Sunday. We want to go to the Kutztown folk festival, so it will either be the 2nd or the 4th of July.

Hurting today...

We both slept until 9am this morning. I got up and took a shower and was a little sore and still from moving furniture and hanging wall paper yesterday. Beth got up and could hardly move. We were suppose to move 2 twin beds over to DJ this morning, but had to reschedule that. Dawn and Jo came by this morning to get the hedge trimmer. The wanted to clean up their yard and make it look like someone lives there. Rylee was just happy playing with the toys. We did alot of just sitting around the rest of the day. We ordered pizza for dinner and are watching the Phillies.

Hanging paper...

We got up around 9am this morning. We had french toast for breakfast and then took showers. We then went over to Km and Lynne's house. We put up a border in Jojo's room with the princesses on it and then put up a fathead of the castle and the princesses on the walls. It was very humid out and we had a giant down pour. We finished in a couple of hours and headed home. We are hoping the paper stays up as it did not seem to have alot of paste on it. We will go back on Monday to see how it is doing. I fixed Beth steak for dinner and I had a salad. I also made fried potatoes with onions. We are now watching the second round of the voice on demand and hopefully send the third round tomorrow. We will get up early tomorrow and go get 2 twin beds from Beth parents house and take them over to DJ and Maggie. The boys need new beds and we hope it does not rain until we are done.

Jojo on vacation...

Jojo was up around 8:30 am this morning. I fixed bacon and eggs for breakfast. Beth and i took showers and we headed out. We took the hedge trimmer back to Lowe's and got the one we wanted. We then went to Beth parent's house and put out the trash and picked up a few things. We then stopped at the mall and had lunch. We then came home and went swimming. The water felt nice and Jojo had a great time going down the slide. We took her home around 5pm, as she and her parents are going to the beach for vacation. We then went to the grocery store. They had also of things on sale, so we stocked up. we came home and had dinner and re now watching the Phillies lose the final game to St. Louis.

Jojo staying the night...

Beth was up a little before 8am. The guy was coming to clean the furnace between 8am and noon. I got up and took a shower and made waffles for breakfast. The guy came around 9:30 and was gone by 11am. We had lunch and Beth went over to pick up Jojo. She is staying the night with and her and her parents are leaving for the beach tomorrow afternoon. They were going to go swimming, but the rain came. So Beth went and took a shower. As soon as she was done, the rain stopped and the sun came out. We left and went to Reading to the outlet mall to check on luggage. We found one , but wanted to check around some more. After that we went to Olive Garden for dinner. I can't seem to order anything except the soup, salad, and breadsticks. After dinner we came home and Beth and Jojo went swimming. I have had a headache the last couple of days and nothing seems to help. I think it this weather and hope it breaks soon.

Slide is in...

We got up around 7:30am this morning as Beth had to give blood at 9am. Just as we were leaving the guy came with the slide for the pool. After giving blood, we headed to BJ's wholesale club for some shopping. We needed alot of stuff this trip, so we were there about an hour and a half. We left there and came home. The guys were already gone and the slide was installed. It looks really good and I am sure the kids will enjoy it. The also put pins in the reel so it will stay secure while we roll and unroll the pool cover. So we unloaded the groceries and had some lunch. Beth went out and cleaned the mowers and fixed the weed eaters. We are getting Jojo tomorrow and she will be staying the night with us. She will be leaving for the beach Thursday evening.

R-Phils game...

We were up at 7:30am for our much needed appointments with Dr. Bill. After that, we went to the post office so Beth could make her parents change of address permanent. We then came home and had breakfast. Beth was not feeling well, so she went and too a nap. They slide did not come today, but maybe it will tomorrow. We went to Reading to watch the Phillies AA team. It was Cole Hamel's garden gnome night. We left at the bottom of the 5th inning and they we losing. As we were coming home, a young deer ran across the road. Good for us it was in front of the car that was in front of us, but it was a scary moment.

Happy Dad Day...

Beth went to 8am mass and then picked me up for breakfast at the dinner. After breakfast we went to Lowe's. Beth was looking for a new hedge trimmer and I needed some lumber to make bobble head shelves. We then got a Sunday paper and came home. Beth began cutting the back yard. DJ and Kyle came by to help us move the coffin to a different place. They are coming tomorrow to install the side and we needed to move it. We sat down and had a talk with Kyle. He had been going through some not so good stuff the last couple of months and we needed to talk about a few things. After DJ and Kyle left, Beth cut the front yard. She wanted to finish before the Phillies game came on at 4pm and she just made it. I had laundry to do and a kitchen to clean. We had dinner and made a schedule of the places we wanted to get reservation for at Disney in November with Dawn, Jo, and Rylee. I just need to update the spreadsheet and send it off to them for their opinion. We went to Rita's fore some ice water and then came home. We see Dr Bill in the morning and at looking forward to it.

Shopping with Rylee...

We got up around 7:30am this morning. I made an apple carmel coffee cake for breakfast. Dawn and Jo dropped off Rylee around 9:45am. They were going up to see the boys and we got to watch Rylee. We left right after they did and went to Exton. I had a coupon for Barnes and Noble and it expired tomorrow. We stopped at Target to get an umbrella stroller, so we would have one in the car all time. Of course she also got a couple of shirts and some new jammies. We then went to the book store. I picked up a book and Rylee got 3 books. She loved her Elmo alphabet book. We then went to Cheeseburger in Paradise for lunch. Ryle loved sitting in a booster set at the table instead of a high chair. We headed home and she fell asleep for about 15 minutes. Beth went to put he in the pack and play and she was awake. No more napping for her. We played down stairs until her parents showed up around 4:30pm. We had dinner and then went for a swim. The water was a little cool but was still nice. Rylee was getting tired, so Dawn and Jo left with her. After they left, we unloaded the big screen tv we brought home from her parents. It looks really good in the scrapbooking room. Today's picture is of Rylee playing with the train track.

No slide...

We got up around 7:30am this morning. We wanted to get a early start on working on Beth parent's house. We got there around 10am and got started. I was able to get 95% of the kitchen done and about 70% of the laundry room. Beth was able to get most of the stuff in the office done. We brought the tv home and need help getting it unloaded. We are hoping that Dawn and Jo can help tomorrow when they drop off Rylee. Beth got her hair cut today and it looks so much better. She was becoming a shaggy dog again. We had steak for dinner and Beth was a happy camper. The Phillies are on the west coast, so Beth will not be going to bed until late the next 3 nights. The pool slide was suppose to be installed today, but it was not. They now say it should be here Monday morning. We will see.....

We then went to TGI Friday's for lunch. after lunch we went to CVS to get Beth's prescription and then came home. Beth had an appointment to get a new CPAC mask. We watched the Phillies take a 4 games from Florida. The rest of the day was spent doing little to nothing. We are going to Beth's parents house in the morning to try and get a lot of things moved to the garage.

Cooks day off...

Beth was up way before me this morning. She made her own breakfast as I had to wait an hour to eat. We had a couple of printer that we were no longer using, so she took them to Cash Converter to see what they would give her for them. I went outside and had some weeds to pull and had to trim the sucker limbs off the walking stick bush. Beth came home with lunch and said she did not sell the prints as they were only going to give her 6 bucks for them. What a joke. So we ate lunch and Beth was able to get in to get the Synvis shot in her knee at 2:30pm. So we went down there and I waited in the car, since it was not going to take long. I had to drive home, since her knee was a little sore from the shot. I went downstairs to watch a movie and Beth put ice on her knee and took a little nap while watching the Phillies. We ordered out for dinner tonight, so I did not have to make any meals today. It was the cooks day off and felt good. We took a great shot of a hawk sitting it the yard across from us.

Rollin with Rylee...

We were up at 7:10am this morning. Jo dropped out Rylee around 7:45am. I made Rylee breakfast of waffles with cream cheese and jelly and a banana. She was content to eat my cereal with milk on it. after breakfast, Beth and I took turns with showers and playing with Rylee. We then went outside to play. we first down by the pool and Rylee played on the slide and walked around the pool. We made Aunt Beth nervous, so we went a played in the driveway. We were outside for a couple of hours and Rylee was getting tired. We came inside and had some lunch. Rylee went down for a nap and it did not take long for her to go to sleep. She slept until 3pm and Jo picked her up for he doctor's appointment. She has alot of dry skin patches that are itchy and the doctor said it was eczema and gave she some stuff for it. We get to sleep late in the morning.

Outside chores...

I got up around 7:30am this morning. I made a call to Dr. Bill as my upper back was killing me. The were able to get me in at 8am, so I left and headed down there. After a much needed adjustment, I headed back home. Beth was up and had already had breakfast. She got dressed and headed to the dry cleaners, CVS, and the pack and ship. Mom a box is coming to you. I headed to Super Wal-mart, as my lens for my glasses were ready. I also told her about the new contact she gave me to try. So she changed my contact prescription back and I was able to order new ones. I did some other shopping and headed home. Beth was already cutting the grass. I put away the groceries and made us lunch. We ate outside on the patio and it was nice. Beth finished cutting the grass and cleaned the pool filters. I had to put more soil in the tomato plants and gave them fertilizer. We are watching Rylee tomorrow as she had a doctor's appointment. A shout out to my step dad as he caught a cat fish in the local fishing hole. He was been close several times and finally landed one, so good job.

Organization...

Beth went to 8am mass this morning. I got up around 8:30am and took a shower. I made breakfast for us and we read the paper. Beth had to meet Jess at her parent's house around noon. I worked int he scrapbook room and was able to get a lot of it organized. It looks so much better. DJ came by for a visit around 2pm and left about an hour later. Beth came home and I fixed her some lunch. Criminal Minds was having a marathon on today, so I watched as many as I could. Beth watched the Phillies win their ball game and then we put the cover back on the pool. The temperature had gone done 10 degrees since Friday, so we are hoping it will rise with the cover on the next few days.

IKEA shopping...

We did not get out of bed until 9:30am this morning. It had rained early this morning and the clouds blocked the sun from shining in the window. We got up had breakfast and I went to get gas in the truck and the mower cans. Beth was going to cut the grass, but it began to rain again. So she took a shower and we had lunch. We then headed to IKEA for some shopping. The traffic on the way down was horrible. We should know better to head to Philly on a weekend. So after shopping we took the turnpike home and it was a whole lot faster. I had two London broil I wanted to fix on the grill, so we could have some for dinner and the rest eat as leftovers on salad or in wraps. The rain held off long enough for me to get the grilling down. Dinner was great and the rain is starting to fall again and we need it.

All is good..

I had to get up at 7:45am this morning. I left the house and was at the cancer doctor by 8:45am. Everything is good and I have to have a full body scan this year. This means I have to take a low dose of radioactive iodine and than have a body scan done. If everything is good with that, then I don't have to have anything done for 3 years. I also only have to see the cancer doctor yearly now. So all is good. I came home and had some breakfast. Beth was not feeling well and was able to get in a see the doctor. She may have some type of infection and gave her some pills to help. So after her appointment, we went to the store and then had some lunch. We took the cover off the pool and had to do a little cleaning. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came over around 6pm for pizza and a swim. The water was really warm and we had a great time.

Beth is Happy...

We got up at 7am this morning and left the house around 8:30am. We made it to the hospital around 9:20am and got checked in. They called us back around 9:45am and the waiting began. They finally to Beth back around 10:30am and she was done by 11am. It took a whole lot longer to get there and get checked in, then to do the procedure. But everything was OK and we were out of there by noon. We stopped at Super Wal-mart and picked up lunch and some bubble wrap. We then headed over to Beth's parents house. Beth was feeling good, so we did some packing. I was able to get all 90% of the stuff out of the kitchen and into the garage. Beth worked on the office. It was a little warm in the house, so we turned the air on. We left around 3pm and had a productive day. We came home and rested. I fixed dinner and had to water. Around *pm the wind kicked up and a rain storm took place. It is not surprising as it was 97 degrees today and humid. The pool water is 88 degrees and ready for swimming. I see the cancer doctor in the morning for check up and that is the last of the doctor appointments for this week.

Printer installed...

We were up at 7:45am this morning. Beth had a knee appointment at 9:30am. The doctor wants to start the synvics shots and go with a stretch brace. The insurance needs to approve the shots first, but she was able to get the brace. We came home and Beth began here cleansing process. I went to work on setting up the new printer. It was easy to set up and I installed the wireless printer part on the laptop. Beth spent the rest of the afternoon running back and forth to the bathroom. We have to be at the hospital at 9:45am. So she should really hungry by the time we leave there. We want to stop by her parents house to check on things and see if it is hot in the house. So I was able to load some boxes in the car to take up and pack some stuff. I went out to dinner tonight as it was only fair since Beth could not eat anything. I had to water the plants tonight as the temperatures got to 97 degrees today and will be the same tomorrow.

New Printer...

I got up around 8am this morning and Beth was up around 9am. I made waffles for breakfast and then I took a shower. I left around 10am to go to super Wal-mart for my eye appointment. She changed my eye glass prescription and we are looking at changing the contacts also. I feel really old today. I have a set of contact to try for a few days to see if they help before we order more. She also dilated my eye, so they were really sore with the bright sun shine today. I came home and we had lunch. Beth had not been able to eat vegetables or salad the last 2 day. She is having a colonoscopy on Thursday. So I have tried to be good and not eat things she can not eat in front of her. We spent the rest of the afternoon inside. We did go to Best Buy around 4pm. We needed to get a new printer as mind is dead. I did some research on Consumer Report and found the one we liked was rated high and was on sale. So we purchased it and came home and will try to hook it up tomorrow. We had dinner and after dinner, Beth went out to clean the pool. The water is really clear and we can see all the stuff that needed to be vacuumed up. We are supposed to be in the high 90's the next few days, so we put the solar cover on to help keep the evaporation of water done. Beth has an appointment with the knee doctor to see about getting a brace and when replacement can take place.

Looking of lights...

We had to get up early this morning as I had to give blood at 8am. We then went to Dunkin donut for breakfast and then to see Dr. Bill. We then went to Boyertown to a place that carried lighting stuff. They really did not have any low level lighting, but gave us a book that we could order from. We then came home and had some lunch. We then left and went to the UPS store, CVS and to game stop. I have several games that I did not play anymore and wanted to trade them in and they were also give 50% more on the trade, so we got about $120 in trade in. I did not see any games we wanted, so we came home. I fixed steak for dinner tonight and used one of the disposal grills. We are trying to determine if we want to use that instead of the gas grill when we go to the beach. I have to go to Best Buy tomorrow and get a new printer. The last time we lost power, I think it bit the dust. It is 8 years old and we want to look at getting a wireless all in one.

Little to nothing..

We slept til 10am this morning and it was nice. We took showers and then had lunch. I went to the grocery store as Giant had several things on sale. Beth worked on her desk and did bills. I can home and unload the groceries and really did nothing after that. I did work on cleaning the kitchen a little bit and got a good start on it. I did finish folding the laundry and put it away. Beth cut the thistles in the back and pulled some of the weeds out front. It was a pretty uneventful day and it felt nice.

Cleaning mode...

It was nice to sleep in this morning. Beth got up early to see if she could get in to see Dr. Bill and was able to go at 8:30am. I took a shower and stripped all the beds and started laundry. Beth came home and brought breakfast. After breakfast, I got into a cleaning mode. I started with the dining room and cleaned the table and chairs, dusted, and wiped down all the base boards. The moved on to the living room. Everything was dusty with pollen and needed to be wiped down and vacuumed. Then all the floors got a good mopping. I will start on the kitchen and mud room tomorrow. Kyle did come over and mowed the back yard and did the weed whacking. Beth went to 5:30pm mass, so she could sleep in tomorrow. It was another cool day, but will be climbing in temperature by the end of the week.

Kids filled day..

I woke up this morning to Payton yelling for me that he had to poop. What a way to start the morning. We had breakfast and I took a shower. Beth went out to cut the grass. It was a cool morning, so I opened all the windows. Kim dropped off Jojo around 10:30am. So both Jojo and Payton had fun running up and down the hall and playing hide and go seek. I on the other hand were losing my mind. Beth finished cutting the grass and took a shower. we took the kids to McDonald and they loved it. We came home and Payton took a nap. Beth and Jojo played and colored. I went to pick up Kyle around 3:30pm. He was going to cut the back grass, but he forgot his shoes on the kitchen table at home. Jojo left around 4pm and DJ picked up the boys around 5:30pm. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came over for dinner around 6pm. We had hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill. So we were able to see all four of the kids today. It was a great day seeing all the kids, but we are glad to be kid free.

Milder day...

We all slept until 8:15am this morning. Beth had a doctor's appointment and left around 9am. Payton and I went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Beth was back home around 11:30 am and we had lunch. Payton and Beth went out to try and fly a kite and the big Styrofoam plane, but the wind was to bad. So they came in and Payton went down for a nap. Beth played POGO since she missed it most of yesterday. Payton work up around 3pm and was ready to go swimming. It was a lot cooler today than it had been in the last several days. We had to go to the pool store to get a new vacuum for the pool. The pool is all clear and now Beth can what needs to be cleaned up a little more. We had dinner and went out to the pool. It was to cold for me to stay in long, but Payton could play all night. Beth finished cleaning the pool and we put the solar cover on it hoping to keep some of the heat in. Tonight is Payton's last night of vacation and I think he is ready to go home. Kyle is coming over tomorrow after school to mow the grass. It is not to high this week , since we have not had any rain. That way we can have the whole week-end of doing nothing.

Cabelo's

Payton had a rough night last night. I guess he got to far on the edge and fell out of bed around 2am. He was fine, just scared. Beth moved the crates closer to the bed and he went back to sleep, only to wake up at 6:15am. I think we would have gotten more sleep if we had Maggie bring him over every morning. LOL Beth took Kim and Lynne to BJ's this morning to use the gift card we gave them for Christmas. After she got home, we had lunch and headed to Cabelo's. Beth was looking for a metal detector and wanted to see what they had. It took us well over a hour to get there and Payton took a nap along the way. I sure wish I could have taken a nap cause I sure needed one. The place was big and we looked at most everything things. Payton loved looking at the fish in the tanks. I found the smoker I want to get and a few other cooking items. Payton got a toy of 2 boats and some guys fishing. Beth got her metal detector and we were all happy. We left around 4:30pm and stopped at the pizza place down the street for dinner. We then came home and got in the pool. It was a high of 95 degrees and the pool was clear and 80 degrees. Payton had a great time swimming and can jump off the side of the pool now. It was a great day and we are all tired and ready for bed. Oh a shout out to my cuz who got a new car over the weekend, but broke her ankle and can not drive it now. Hang in there cuz.
