dance tickets..

we got up at 7am this morning. We left the house to go stand in line to get Rylee's dance recital tickets. Dawn told us to be in line by 8:15am. So we were, but we both did not hear Dawn sale they went on sale at 10am. So Beth stood in line and I went back home and got a bag chair, coffee, donuts, and a paper. I was able to find a place to park and we waited until 10am. I took the chair back to the truck and Beth made the purchase. I guess there was some drama after I left, but people, it is a dance recital. We left there and went to the cemetery as it was Beth's dad birthday. We then went to the bank and had lunch. We got home around 2pm and I had a splitting headache. I laid down to see if it would go away and Beth went out to cut grass with DJ's mower. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee asked us to dinner and we went to Giovanni's. I had to water as it is going to be in the 80's the next few days.

Wedding...

We were up around 7:30am. we took showers and headed out around 9am. We were meeting DJ and Maggie at the courthouse. We were standing up with them during their exchange of wedding vows. The judge was really funny and talked really fast. After that, we headed to get some breakfast and then went to KOP. we then came home and had some lunch. we spent the rest of the doing nothing. We went to dinner with DJ, Maggie, and Payton. It was a great time. The guys came to pick up the riding mower, but for forgot to take the mowing deck, so just they are coming back tomorrow to get it. Not sure how they missed it as it was right in front of the mower. Morans...

Dinner reservations done...

We both got up around 7:15am this morning. Beth had to take her meds as she was going to the dentist. I had one last dinner reservation to make and all of the reservations for the Disney November trip are done. We then went to Arby's for lunch. It was really good and we had a coupon. We then went to Kohl's and picked up a few things and came home. Dawn and Rylee came by around 5:30pm. we had sloppy joes and chips. Rylee had buttered noodles. It was a cold and gloomy day today and I hope it is warmer tomorrow.

Where did the day go...

I got up around 7:15am this morning. I made more reservations for Disney and did some other stuff on the internet. Beth got up around 9am. We had breakfast on the deck and then did some more stuff for Disney. All of a sudden it was 11:30am. Where did the day go??? We took shower and I had to go to the store. We had lunch when I got back and CJ and his mom came by for a visit. we left around 2pm to go to CJ's bank, my bank, AC Moore, Target, and finally home. Beth worked in the office and I made Olive Garden's pasta Fagioli soup. It was really good, but needed to set a day or so to be better. Beth had steak and a salad. So we have one more day of making Disney dining reservations, then in a couple months we will make the fast pass reservations and finish the tee shirts.

Lawn mower broke

we both slept until 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and talked a little about Disney again. I took a shower and Beth headed out to mow the yard as it needed it again. I left around 12:30 pm to get  my hair cut and colored. Beth had shut down the mower and was walking around it. I stopped to see what happened and she thought a belt might have slipped off. She was going to look at and I went on my way. When I got back, DJ was unloading her mower and I found out that ours needed to go to the shop as a bolt was broken. So I talked with DJ until Beth finished up and then DJ loaded the mower and let. Beth took a shower and we went to AC Moore. As we were checking out, it started to down pour. So we waited a little while for it to ease up a bit and made a run for the car. We came home and had leftovers for dinner. we worked on the iron on transfer for the Disney trip. So turned out good, others not so good.

Disney Dining...

Beth was up early as she thought she could make on Disney dining reservations. She called the number and they told her she had to wait until tomorrow. So I got up around 9ish as I must have been tires. We got dressed and went outside I finished planting the plants and Beth worked on cleaning the deck. we got have the deck cleaned and all the patio furniture and stopped to have lunch. Beth notice an email saying she could sign up for dining. So off we went to get the places we wanted. we were not able to get our first 2 choices on the days we wanted, so we did some substitutes. We could only book the first 7 day and will have to do the other days later. We had some issues with places, so Dawn came but to give her advice and we are now set. We have 2 days without a reservation and the group is talking over options for those days. Beth finished getting the deck done and looks really nice. Heather, George, and Grayson stopped by to pick up a cozy coup car and to visit for awhile. Grayson sure is a cutie. It got to 84 degrees today and will be glad for the rain a lower temps tomorrow.

Rio 2

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up and got dressed as Dawn and Rylee were coming down for breakfast at 9:15am. Beth came home and we waited for Dawn and Rylee. We finally text them and Rylee had 2 nose bleeds and Dawn asked us to come up there. So  no problem and off we went. We had breakfast and decided to go to the movies at 1:40pm and see Rio 2. So Beth and I left, Beth had to take a water sample up and get it checked. I came home and took a shower and meet someone at noon as we sold an item. I them went to Colonial Gardens to see if they had another spider plant and I could not find one, but boy was there a lot of people there. Dawn and Rylee headed down and Dawn asked if I had seen facebook. I had not and when I checked this is what I found:

 

 

 

Dawn was gone to pee and came back to this. It is not the washable kind. She was able to get it off in time to go to the movies, but was not a happy camper. It was a good movie and we went to BJ's wholesale club afterwards. I fixed dinner and then had to water. The water will be my new evening routine for now own. I still have a few more plants to plant tomorrow and it did not get done today. Beth will be staying up til midnight and will try to schedule our Disney dinning for November. 

Planting...

I did not sleep well last night, so I was a little draggy this morning. We left to go to Staples, AC Moore, Home Depot, and Lowes's. Both Lowe's and Home Depot had free hotdogs and we had a couple for lunch. we picked up potting soil and more plants. we came home and Beth swept the pool and I planted about half the plants and all the pots. I will do the rest tomorrow and will be done planting for awhile. We had pizza for sinner and ate on the deck. A quick shower rolled in and lasted about 10 minutes, but was good for the new grass and plants. And of course, I picked up another spider bite. They must just love how I taste cause I average 3 or 4 a summer.

Final ...

I got up around 8:30am this morning. My back was still sore and stiff. I decided to start taking the pills the doctor gave me for my for to reduce the inflammation. I started to feel a little better by the afternoon, so will that them for a few days. I started laundry and we then worked on some Disney stuff. We have decided to not try and have a wedding this year, but to wait and have it on our anniversary date next year. We just have took much on our plate and don't want to settle for anything. Beth was able to get the yard cut as it needed. Dawn and Rylee came by for dinner as Rylee was upset she did not get to come over yesterday. Dawn left for an appointment and we had hotdogs, tator tots, and baked beans. Jo joined us and Dawn came back after her meeting. We talked about Disney plans and other things. The left around 8:45pm and we came inside as it was getting chilly sitting outside.

Jojo's Play...

We were p around 8am this morning. Beth took a shower and took Buster to the groomer. I had a 10:20am doctor's appointment, but they called and I did not have to go in to see them. I spent most of the day making phone calls and working on the computer. I did take time to make a German Chocolate cake. I had to go see Dr. Bill for another adjustment and may have to go back on Monday. He told me to do nothing this week-end but rest. That as we all know id hard for me to do. We had dinner and then went to the Pope John High school as Jojo was in a play. It was really cute and we had a good time. So the 2 things we are working on now for the wedding is finding someone to marry us and a place to hold it. After that, the rest is easy.

Marriage plans...

We were up around 8am. My back was a little better today, but still needed some rest. I had a knee doctor's appointment at 1pm. Everything was good and I only need to see him if things flare up again. I then went to Target, AC Moore, and Staples before coming home. We have talked a little about marriage plans and Beth called here accountant to she what the changes would be for her taxes. We are thinking some time in October, but we first have to find out how many will be coming and what we really want. So more talking and planning are needed, but very excited.

Finally...

I woke up this morning and went on the back deck to talk with Beth. We cam in about 30 minutes later and went into the office. As I sat down, I felt my back hurt. The pain would not go away as much as I tried to stretch. I took a hot shower hoping it would help and it did not. I knew Dr. Bill was in in until 3:24pm. So I laid on the bed hoping this too would help, but it did not. I got in to see Dr. Jill and as I suspected, my hips were all out of whack. She adjusted them, but will see how they do in the morning. Need less to say, I did not get anything done today. The pool fairies came and opened the pool. We were both surprised at how blue the water was and not the slime green color. So we will see if it clears up and how fast. It was a great day in PA as the Judge strikes down the ban on same sex marriage. We are waiting to see if the appeal happens. It not, we will start the wedding plans.

Car's boo boo...

We were up early this morning as Southwest opened it fares to Jan. 2. We were able to book all of our flights to Disney. We then headed to see Dr. Bill for much needed adjustments. I stopped by the foot doctor to get my inset for my shoe and then wen came home. we left about 30 minutes later, which was just enough time to eat breakfast. The damage to the car was checked by the adjuster and estimated at about $1400. The will be doing the fix in June some time and it will take 5 days. We then got gas, when to the pool store, the flower place, and then to Wal-mart. Just as we were going into Wal-mart a couple came out and the police were waiting for the guy. Her took off running and the finally caught him and the tazor pointed at him. Not sure what it was all about, but never dull when you go to Wal-mart. We came home and had some lunch and Beth started cutting the yard again. It looks a lot better and we should be able to stay on top of it. Tomorrow is flower planting day as it is going to rain the rest of the week.

Grass cutting...

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I wanted to stay in bed, but had to get up and take a shower. As soon as Beth got home, we left and went to Jake's flee market. It was really packed today and we found a few things to buy. We came home and Beth began working on the yard. She was able to get all the grass cut, but will need to cut it again tomorrow. It was a little chilly today, but we still kept the windows open.

Happy Birthday to me...

I got to slept until 8:30am this morning. Beth helped Dawn load a hugh TV and take it to a recycle place. They both came back around 10am and then went to Toys R Us to get Rylee a new bike. I went to Lowe's and colonial gardens to get flowers for the pots out back. I started laundry and picked up some stuff around the house. They came back around 1pm and we started putting the bike together. Jo and Rylee came down around 2pm. I watched Rylee while Dawn and Beth took the bike to the bike shop. The could not figure out how to get the front brakes working correctly. They were back in about 20 minutes and had everything working. Dawn and Rylee went home around 4pm. Beth and I went to go get my birthday cake and then came back home. Beth had picked up ribs and chicken wing for dinner and we had baked potatoes and cucumber salad for dinner. We all watched the Wizard of Oz movie as Rylee had never seen the original. It was a great day and I got a lot of birthday wishes.

Finally Home...

We got home around 2pm. The traffic was really bad and the rain did not help any. We got the car unloaded and then we headed to dinner around 4pm. We did not stop to have lunch, so we were really hungry. It was cloudy and finally stopped raining around 5pm. The grass is really high and needs cutting. We are both glad to be sleeping in our own bed tonight.

Heading home...

We were awaken by jackhammers at 8:04am. This project should be done by the first of August. We took showers and had breakfast. We left and went to Home Depot. We had to take back the light cover were got as it was the wrong type. We found a couple lights we likes and got them. The one we got from Target was broke and that was our next trip to return it. We stopped and had lunch at IHop. I had chicken and waffles and Beth had a BTL. We then stopped at Einstein Bagel and picked up bagels for breakfast on the ride home tomorrow. We came home and finished packing and took pictures of the condo. After dinner, we had a meeting with the HOA vice president. There was another couple that had moved into a condo on the 10th floor. She basically explained the rules and we had to sign a piece of paper. Afterwards, we talked about different places to eat and various other things. It was a really good meeting. We did talk to the office and we will not be fined for the moving issues, so we are happy about that. So we will be leaving at 6am tomorrow and will be home Friday afternoon. I am hoping that we are behind the rain and not in it on the way home.

Another day of shopping.

We both slept until after 9am. We expected the worker to wake us up with their jackhammering, but they did not. We took showers and had breakfast. I went done to check and see if the office had any paperwork on the windows and they were not open yet. Who know what their hours are. We then left and went to the insurance place to make a payment. If we can get the paper work, they will credit us the difference. We then went to Total Wine and More. Then it was on to Target. We got a lamp for the living room, so we now have light in there. It was 2pm and we had lunch at Long John Silvers. It was then to Beth's bank and a finally stop at BJ's wholesale club. I am tired of shopping. The ocean still had the red and purple flags up, so no beach today. We are meeting with the HOA people tomorrow night, so we will be leaving Thursday morning. So maybe we can hit the beach tomorrow.

Sea Lice...

We woke up this morning to men jackhammering the patio. Not a pleasant thing to wake up to. we got dressed for the beach and headed out. We noticed the life guard tower had a red and purple flag out. The waves were really big and looed rough. Beth went over and talk to the life guard to see what the flags meant. The red flag was a very strong rip tide. He said that several people over the week-end had to be helps because of it. The purple was for sea lice. Apparently, sea lice is some type of baby jellyfish and sting you. The life guard had several red welds on his side from them. So, we just walked on the beach as we did not want red welts on us as they last about a week and hurt. We came back to the condo and took showers. The guys had moved up a couple floors, but the noise was still there. We left and went back to Ikea. we wanted to get the ottoman that matched the sofa and look at a couple other things. We also needed a couple parts for the bed drawer that we broke when putting it together. We first had lunch at Chipotle's. The lines were so much longer than at home. After Ikea's. we went to a couple places to look at lamps, but could not find anything we liked. We found an Old Time Pottery place did some shopping there. They have one in KC and we love going there. We finally got home around 5pm and unloaded the car. We had some dinner and are just enjoying the piece and quite. We have to go to the insurance place tomorrow and then to Target. If the Wednesday meeting with the HOA guy is cancelled, we will start home on Wednesday morning.

Just great.

It has been a very busy week since we closed on the condo. We went shopping all day on Thursday at IKEA and had it delivered on Friday. We were scheduled for a 1-5 deliver and it got changed to 5-9pm. Little did we know there were to be no deliveries after 5pm. In the mean time the cable guy was here to hook up the cable and we found all the cable cords had been cut. I guess in a condo, all the cable lines are run through the base boards or in crown molding since the floor and ceiling are all concrete. so when they remolded, they skipped that part of putting cable back in the baseboards. They had a fake line coming out of the wall where the cable was. So the only he could do was run a line across the floor. So at least we have cable, but will have to get it done correctly next time we are down here. So as I was getting that bad news, Beth was down stairs with the movers. And of course, one person of the many that came by had to complain about our delivery. We did not know about this rule as it was not in the House Rule book we got. So after he complained to the night manager and said he was turning us into the board. Great way to make an impression on your neighbors. So all the stuff we ordered was delivered and we went to see the office on Saturday. She could not find anything in our book about the delivery time, so we will see what happened. So the sofa, TV stand, and guest bed are all put together. There are still a few more things we have to do, but it is livable for now and we are glad we have the beach so close. We are hoping to go tomorrow morning for a few hours as a reward for getting stuff done. I will be posting pictures later, so stay tune.

Condo owners...

It has been a long 3 days, but were finally condo owners. We left Disney around 9:30am this morning. We drove down the Florida turnpike. For the first 75 miles, bugs were splattered allover the window shield. You could not use your wipers to clean them off. We stopped at one of the toll plazas to get gas and pee and they had windshield washing stations. It is a shower of water that is sprayed on the windshields and you turn you wipers on to help clean the bugs. Really, I can't make this kink of stuff up. They have it for cars and big trucks. We found the place we needed to be to sing papers and then had time to get lunch. We finished up and headed to the office. We were there about 30minutes and done. We headed to the condo and unloaded the car. They have bell hop carts and shopping carts to help. We had to make 3 trips, but got it all unloaded. We took a look around and just kinda rested. We  went to check into the hotel room and then went to get something to eat and to Lowe's. We had already reserved the room and it was too late to cancel, but we are glad to be here tonight. We can not get the TV service hooked up until Friday, but the condo has a room where we can watch the draft tomorrow.  This is the view from our balcony. Packed and ready to go...

Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up around 8:30am and took a shower. We picked up Payton around 10am. we were taking him shopping and to lunch for his birthday. We hit Toys R US and away he went. He knew what he was looking for and asked how much he could get. Beth told him she would tell him when it was getting close. So with one item left, he made his selection. He then found some other things and did the swap game and finally settled on the things he wanted. We then went to McDonald's for lunch. we dropped him off at his house around 12:30pm and then came home. We started packing the car and got most everything in it we wanted for this trip. We will leave early in the morning and hope we don't run into much traffic.

Little more rain...

We were up around 8am this morning. I made waffles and bacon for breakfast. Kim came to pick up Jojo around 9:30am. Jo and Rylee stopped by around 10am to get a couple of fans as a friend of hers had a wet basement. We left around 10:45am to go pick up a small curio cabinet for the condo. Then it was on to the next stop and we picked up a metal fish picture for the condo. We were back home for lunch and then Beth went to cut the grass. I started cleaning the house and packing for the trip. Around 5pm it started raining, but it looked like just a few angry clouds and would pass. Beth was still cutting the grass in the rain and was a drowned rat when it was over. I fixed pork chops on the grill and had potatoes w/onions. We are taking Payton to lunch and shopping for his birthday and then we will see how much we can pack into the car. We will leave early Monday morning and stop at Disney for a couple days before the closing on Thursday.

More mulch...

We were up at 7:30am this morning. Dawn came by around 8:15am, as we were going to help her landscape her front area. We were to Colonial Gardens and got some plants and a load of mulch. It only took us a couple hours to get everything planted and it looked good. We came home and took a shower and had lunch. We then left and went to BJ's wholesale club. We had to stop by the bank and wired money for the closing. We then had to call about insurance. Kim dropped off Jojo around 4:30pm and we went to dinner. we then went to Zern's as I was looking for buttered popcorn jelly bellies. So not I am so ready for bed.

Great day...

We were up around 8:30am this morning. The sun was shining and the temperate were climbing. I started laundry and we went to Lowe's, Bed Bath & Beyond, and the grocery store. I worked on getting the house ready to leave next week and Beth went to see Dr. Bill. What a 2 weeks with back issues. Dawn and Rylee came over of dinner and then movie time. The water was running very high most everywhere. Some of the roads were open and some still closed. I have never seen water that high in a lot of places. They say we got 6 inches of rain. Way to much to fast.
