RIP Bernie Bevington...
We had to get up at 6:30am this morning. We needed to shower, have breakfast, and be at Beth's dad's by 8:45am. The town car came to pick up Beth and her dad and take them to the church. The rest of us drove our own cars there. The family had a private viewing first and then the rest of the family and friends were allowed in at 9:30am. I had never been to a Catholic service before and found it was kinda like Sunday church. After the service, we headed to the grave site. It was about 96 degrees already and the service was short and to the point and really nice. Everyone headed to the restaurant. There were a lot of people that came and the place is small to begin with, but adding about 200 people made it seem really small. With my hot flashes going on, I thought I would sweat my sock off several times. We finally returned home around 3:30pm. We changed and both of us took a nap. Of course Beth did not put her mask on and about 20 minutes into the nap, her snoring woke me up. No big deal as I knew she was getting much needed rest. We had some dinner, watched some TV, and waited for the Phillie's game to start. Rylee will be joining us around 8am as Dawn will be taking her test.

Water Baby...
I had a hard time going to sleep last night. It might have something to do with the brownie I ate after dinner. Note to self no chocolate before bed. It was after 2am before I fell asleep and around 8 I rolled out of bed. We had to take the car back to the shop again. The engine light was on for a couple of days then went out. So they gave us a loaner and off we went. We came home and Dawn dropped Rylee off at 1pm. We all had lunch and then we played for a while. Rylee took a 30 minute nap which seems to be the norm these days. We are not sure what that is all about, but she is a cranky little girl afterward. Beth striped Rylee down to her diaper and she played in the sink. She just loves water as you can see from today's picture. Dawn and Rylee left around 5pm and we went to get the car. It was just some sensor that had stuff on it and should be OK. We stopped at Olive Garden for dinner. We then had to stop at Wally world for socks for tomorrow. It will be a long day tomorrow, which we are not looking forward to. But afterwards the healing will begin.

Dead Battery..
We were tired from all the excitement yesterday and slept until 8:30am. We had breakfast and Beth got ready for 10:30am mass. I had to water the plants and fold the laundry. Beth was back home around noon. DJ and Kyle stopped by to pick up the truck and then they were heading to a movie. We left and went the bank. We had lunch at KFC/Taco bell and then headed over to Kohl's. We both wanted to look for shirts for Tuesday. Just as we were going into Kohl's, Maggie called and was having battery problems with her car and she was at the storage locker with Payton. So we went back to the car and headed home to get tools and then to meet her. She had a new battery in the back of her car, but did not have the right tools to install it. As soon as we got there, Payton asked us if we were there to save them. How cute. We changed out the battery and the car started right up. We left there and went back to the mall. I was able to find a shirt and Beth said she would just wear what she had at home. We came home and Beth left to go up to her dad's house. I watched a little TV and tried to take a nap, but it just was not happening. Beth was home around 6:30pm and we had dinner. We have Rylee tomorrow afternoon, so we don't have to get up early tomorrow. She will be spending Thursday, Friday, and part of Saturday with us as Dawn and Jo have a softball tournament. We will drop her off at Jo's mom on Saturday. I think it will be good for Beth to have her around.

Draft Day...
I got up around 8am and took a shower. Beth was up around 9am. I had to go to the store and get ice for the cooler. I picked up breakfast and headed home. We unloaded the car of the beer and ice and filled the cooler. We then had breakfast. I still had a lot of food to prepare and went to it after breakfast. Beth sliced the roast beef and I cut up the veggies. I did not have enough cheese for the mac and cheese, so it was off to the store again. I boiled the elbow macaroni and heated the broth for the roast beef. Everything was coming together. I only had to heat the mozzarella sticks and deep fry the chicken tenders. DJ and family were here first. They wanted to try and put Payton down for a nap before things got started. He was not happy at all about that idea, but went down anyway. Dawn and family arrived next. Rylee was asleep when then came in, but was soon up. Jo tryed to put her down, but she was not having any part of that. I started the rest of the food prep and everyone else just kinda filed in. All the food was ready by 1pm. The draft started around 1:30pm. I was in charge of posting the players picked and keep everything on track. We finished round 8 and took a food break. We began the second half rounds about 30 minutes later. The second part always takes a little longer, but we finished around 4:30pm. We had more food and the first wave of people left. Beth's brother, Frank came by to get our blow up mattress and had a drink. We watched the end of the Phillie's game and they won. Everyone was gone by 7pm and we cleaned up. There was not much food left, so it did not take long. Beth entered all the players in to the computer for each team. I am so tired and heading to bed soon. It was a great day.

Cooking all day...
We slept until 9am this morning and it was nice. We got up and had breakfast, then took showers. I had a lot of cooking to do today and wanted to get started early. First on the agenda was making cupcakes. I made 24 vanilla and 24 chocolate. When they were done the roast was next in the oven. I also started laundry. I had to run to the store for more eggs, so Beth watched the cupcakes and then put the roast in. After I go home, I put eggs on to boil for deviled eggs. We had lunch and Beth left to go to her dad's house. She had to pick out the clothes her mom was going to be buried in. She said last night she had no idea, but woke up this morning knowing the exact one. Maybe her Mom had a little to do with that. I finished peeling the eggs and took the roast out of the oven. I then headed to super Wal-mart for chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. We usually get them at Sam's Club, but no longer have a membership there. I found the mozzarella sticks, but not the chicken, so we are trying something new. Beth was already home. I am not used to her being home this time of the day, so it was a good surprise. We had to go to the beer store for beer and soda, then back home for dinner. I made chicken and cheese quesadillas and they were good. We then watched the Eagles play the Chiefs in the 3 preseason game. The Eagles pulled out a win with 24 seconds left in the game. Tomorrow is fantasy football draft day and I still have a lots of food to finish making, but it will get done in time. Most of it is last minutes stuff anyway. Today's picture is of the cupcakes I made today.

Sad Sad Day...
Beth woke me up around 1am to tell me that her mom had pass away. It was a really big shock and so unexpected. But we guess she was tired and it was her time. She is in a much better place and eating all the chocolate she wants. So we were up until almost 3am and then slept for a couple of hours. Beth was up first and I was up about 30 minutes later. We made a couple of calls to our friends to let them know what had happened. I started to make breakfast for us and Jo stopped by to bring us comfort food, donuts and a coffee for Beth and Ice Tea for me. It was great and we really appreciated it. We took showers and Beth left to go to her dad's house. We decided that we are still going ahead with the draft party as her mom would have wanted us to move forward with our lives. I called my mom to tell her what had happened. It has really not been a good week at all. My aunt passed away last Thursday, my mom had to put her dog down, and now Beth's mom is gone. Can someone please stop the heartaches. Enough is enough. So I left around 10am to go pick up Kyle. We went to BJ's for the party items and then came home. Kyle started on the floors downstairs and I cleaned the area in prep for the party. Kyle and I watched a movie and then he did the upstairs floors. He was a big help to me today and much appreciated. I took him home and then had to go the the store for a few items. Beth called to say she was on her way home. We had chicken and salad for dinner. we are both very tired and hoping to get to bed by half time of the game tonight. The services will be held on Tuesday, so until then we go one day at a time. Today's picture is of Beth's mom and dad at the party we had last year.

Catch up..
Tuesday morning we were up early again as Rylee came to visit at 8am. We played awhile and then she had breakfast. She was having no part of a quick nap, so we played some more downstairs. She likes playing in the garden center with the mail. we came upstairs and she had some lunch around 11:30am and then was just going to sleep when Dawn came in. We put Rylee down in the pack 'n' play and I fixed us all lunch. We had left over meatloaf, noodles, and carrots. Rylee woke up around 2pm and they left right after that. Beth and I got ready and headed to Philly for the baseball game. It was a cool misty night. The game went 16 innings and we did not get home until 1:30am and we were in bed by 2:30pm. I slept until 9:30 and Beth got up at 10am. I took a shower and called my mom to see how she was doing. She had to put her dog to sleep on Monday and she was so sad. Cricket was part of the family, but was just in so much pain that it was for the best. Beth got a call this morning saying they were moving her mom to Pottstown Hospital this morning which is a good thing. It is a lot closer for Beth to travel. I headed to Exton to go to party city and to Barnes and Noble. We are having the football fantasy party here on Saturday. We are planning a Cruise to the Panama Canal in October and wanted to get a travel book for that area. I headed home and Beth had already left for the hospital, but came back home around 4pm. Beth and I headed to the mall to mail her parents tax information and then came back home. Beth went back to the hospital around 5:30pm. I had several emails and letter to get done. My Aunt Pat's memorial service was last night and my cousin said it was a great time. We are hoping my cousin Julie will join us in Disney when we go in October. She needs a vacation with all she has been through this last year with her mom. I am going to pick up Kyle tomorrow as I need him to do the floors before I take him to the movies. We will then go to BJ's for all the party food.
Too late to blog...

First Donut...
Dawn was here with Rylee at 7:50am. Beth was already done with her shower. Rylee was in a good mood and was making all kinds of noises. Dawn left for training and I jumped in the shower. Beth started feeding Rylee breakfast. We left around 8:45am and headed to see Dr. Bill. Rylee was excited to be in a new place and was all smiles to everyone she saw. She loves to see people and all of them are her friends. We left there and stopped at Dunkin for some breakfast. Aunt Beth ran in and got breakfast and then we headed home. Rylee was excited to finally get her first powdered sugar donut hole. She loved it and was careful not to take too big of a bite. After breakfast, we played for a while. She loves having the shades up and can see all the trees outside. I had to leave and go to the grocery store. Aunt Beth was giving Rylee a bottle when I got home. She was getting tired, so after her bottle she was put in the pack 'n' play. She was not liking that at all and we would give her 5 minutes to see if she calmed down. Well about a minute later, Aunt Beth went in to get her. She can not handle any of the kids crying and must comfort them. So we went in the office to play on the computer. Rylee loves pounding on the keyboard. Dawn finished training and came by around 12:30pm. I started fixing burgers on the grill and when I came in the house Rylee had fallen asleep in her chair during her lunch. She was so cute. Beth put in back in the pack 'n' play and we had lunch. She was awake just as we finished lunch. Dawn and Rylee left around 2pm. Beth got a call from her brother to let us know her mom had fell in the hospital and was in a lot of pain, so they were giving her morphine. Beth left for the hospital around 3pm. So we will see how thing are when she gets home. Rylee will be here again in the morning.

Tornado Warnings..
We tried to sleep in late this morning, but phone calls would not stop. Frank called at 6:57am and needed to know something from Beth. Beth decided that she would go to 10:30 mass, so we went back to sleep. Then my alarm went off at 8am as I forgot to turn it off. Then the phone rang again at 9am. We finally got up around 9:30am. We decided to take showers and go to breakfast at the diner. I don't think we have been there in the last 3 months. By this time it was 10:30 and Beth did not make it to church today. After breakfast, we went to A C Moore and Target. We were back home around 12:30pm. Beth left for the hospital and I had some errands to do. I finished my errands and went downstairs to scrap book. It had been raining off and on all day, sometime hard at times. Around 3:30pm they came across the TV with a tornado warning for our area. We do not usually get these types of warnings. I text Beth in case she was on the road to be careful. I came up stairs and it was bright sunshine, but the sky in the north was very dark. We got about an inch of rain which will make pulling weeds a little easier tomorrow. Rylee will be here around 8am. We see Dr. Bill at 9am, so she will be going with us. It might be her day to try donuts. You just never know. We will only have her until 11:30 as Dawn has school bus training.

Restless night..
We were in bed about an hour when Beth's brother, Frank, called and said they were taking her dad to the hospital. He was having pains in his arm and not feeling well. So great that is all we needed. So needless to say we did not sleep well. Frank called around 9am to say they were keeping her dad and running some tests today. We had some breakfast and went outside. Beth began cutting the grass and I had to water and pull some weeds. Around 1:30pm, I came in to take a shower and start lunch. Beth finished the grass and took her shower. We had leftover roast from the freezer, mashed potatoes, and sliced tomatoes. After lunch, Beth headed to the hospital and I finished the laundry and went to work on scrap booking. Beth came home around 8pm. They release her dad and said that it might have just been anxiety. They are hoping to move her mom early next week to a different hospital. It will be good for us, since it is only about 10 minutes away and she will get better care. Today's picture is of Rylee and the new toy she got after her adoption.

RIP Aunt Pat...
I woke up this morning to the news that my aunt had finally passed away. She is in a much better place. We slept in this morning and had no kids today. We had breakfast and I headed outside to water. Most of the tomatoes are gone and there are no more blooms. Beth called and the pool is closing Sept. 28, so we will be able to pack up the pool area before we go to Disney in October. I came in and took a shower and headed to Target. I had to get some seal a meal bags for the tomatoes. I came home and fixed lunch. We had steak and the left over frys from last night. Beth is so glad we have the speed cooker for frys. They stay crunchy and hot. After lunch, I sorted through the tomatoes and selected the ones that were still good for slicing and the rest were going to be frozen. There were still about 20 that we will use for tomato sandwiches. I started a pan of water boiling and dropped the tomatoes in to remove the skins. I then placed them in bags. I put about 8 in a bag and had 6 bags. Does that tell you how many tomatoes we had. I put them in the freeze first before sealing, since I don't have the seal a meal that has a liquid setting. I have to wait for this one to shoot craps before I can get a new one and it is about on its last leg. Beth left for the hospital. She was going to talk to her mom about changing hospitals and doctors. We just don't think she is getting the care she needs. I worked on scrap booking stuff while she was gone. I am working on Rylee's book right now, but will have to stop and work on the calendar for mom for Christmas.

Dawn's day at work...
I did not sleep well last night as I was thinking of all the stuff my cousin Julie must be going through. Dawn came by around 7am to drop Rylee off as today was her first day of work. Since it was early, we gave Rylee a bottle first thing. Beth and I then had breakfast and Rylee sat in her chair and ate cherry puffs. We then played as each of us took a turn showering. We then went downstairs for a while. We made an attempt to put Rylee down for a nap and she was out for about an hour and 20 minutes. We came upstairs and had some lunch. Around 3pm we put Rylee down in the pack 'n' play and closed the door a little. She was not too happy, but only fussed for about 10 minutes then went to sleep. I had to leave at 3:45pm to go pick up Kyle and take him to the doctor's of his meds check. They were running behind big time and we never even got back to a room until 5:05pm and our appointment was at 4:20pm. We left the doctor's office and Kyle was happy that he had grown 2 inched since mid June. But he had also lost 2 pounds. I dropped him off at home and headed home myself. Dawn was still here. Beth and her had decided that we were having dinner at our house, which was great. Jo was about 10 minutes behind me. I went down to pick up dinner from the Italian place. It is always good. After the Rhotini's left, I went downstairs to work on scrap book stuff and Beth watched the Phillies lose. My cousin texted me to let me know that her mom was still holding on and hoped she lets go tonight. Beth did not go to the hospital as we had a lot going on, but said her mom was doing a little better. She will know tomorrow after she goes up to see her. Rylee loves playing in her little garden center downstairs.

Payton for a day...
I was up around 8am this morning. Payton and Kyle were already up, but had only been up for about 30 minutes. We talked for a while and decided it was time for breakfast. So Payton and I went to get Aunt Beth out of bed, then we went into the kitchen for breakfast. Everyone wanted left over pizza for breakfast. After breakfast, Payton and I went out to water the plants. I did the tomato plants and well he just played in the water. He had a good time for about 30 minutes just playing with the hose and spraying everything, including himself. We went inside around 10am. I stripped him down, dried him off, and put on dry clothes. He went to play with the animals flashing lights that Beth has and I took a shower. Beth left around 11ish to go to the bank and to pick up lunch. KFC and Taco bell were on the agenda. We had lunch and went downstairs to play Wii for a little while. It was nap time and Payton was not happy about it. Up to bed we went and it did not take long for him to fall asleep. Kyle and I went downstairs to watch a movie and Beth played on the computer. Payton was up around 3pm and ready to play Wii again. DJ called around 4pm and said she would pick up the boys in about 30 minutes. Payton was not happy to leave at all, but a cup cake to take home stopped the tears. Beth left around 4:15pm to go to the hospital again. I got news today that my Aunt Pat is not long with us and that tonight might be the last night. Please keep her family in your prayers. We have to get up early tomorrow as Rylee will be here at 7am. No picture today, we are slacking.

Kids all day..
Dawn was here around 8:15am this morning. We had breakfast with Rylee and then I took a shower. As I am getting out of the shower I am hearing Beth fussing with Rylee. I came out and Rylee had pooped in her diaper so much it came out the top and the sides all over everything. It was a mess. We got her cleaned up and I had to rinse out her shirt and shorts. She even had it all over her sock. Beth went to go take a shower. Rylee was kinda fussy today. We could see she was pulling at her ear again, so her teeth must be bothering her again. Dawn came by around 12:15pm after her eye doctor appointment. I fixed us chicken sandwiches for lunch. They were really good. Beth left around 2pm to go to the hospital. I left around 4pm to go to Target and then to pick up the boys. We came home and Payton and I played in the bedroom and Kyle watched TV. I had ordered Pizza and it was going to be delivered in 30 minutes. Payton and I set the table and Kyle got the pizza when it was delivered. Beth called around 7pm and she was on her way home. we finished dinner and Payton and I went outside to play until Beth got home. Beth had dinner and Payton played her songs while she ate. It was go funny. I gave Payton a bath and he got ready for bed. I was a little worried as to how he would do, but there were no problems. He got up once when Buster left but went back to bed and went to sleep. Today's picture is of all the tomatoes I picked yesterday. What the hell do I do with all of them????

Twins
We got up at 6:30am this morning as I thought Dawn was bringing over Rylee at 7am. Well I was wrong and Rylee did not get here until a little after 8am. Dawn had training today on how to drive a school bus. Rylee had breakfast and played for a while. Beth took a shower and Rylee took a cap nap of about 40 minutes. As you can see from today's photo they were twins. Dawn came by a little after 11am to pick up Rylee. We had some lunch and then went to Target and the grocery store. Beth got a call from her brother and her mom was still in recovery, so Beth decided not to go to the hospital today. They did determine the pain she has been having in her leg is a cancer tumor. Not a good sign. My aunt is not doing well and it is only a matter of days before she leaves us. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We are pickup up Payton and Kyle tomorrow night. Payton now wants Kyle to stay the night with him. It was raining off and on all day today and the humidity was high. I did have to water the plants, so we did not get a lot of rain.

Busy Day
Beth was up and at church by 8am. I got up took a shower and did some things on the computer. Beth came home around 9:15 and I fixed bacon and eggs for breakfast. Beth had to leave around 10:45 and go over to the mall. She was meeting a friend that bought the Texans tickets for a swap. She came home around 11:30am. We really did not have lunch as we were full from breakfast. Beth took a quick nap and I watch some football. We left around 2pm to go pick up her dad and head to the hospital. Beth's mom was still having a hard time breathing and they are going to put the drain in tomorrow afternoon. We stayed for about a hour then took her dad home. We stopped by Michael's as they were have a moon light madness sale and I needed a few things. We then went out to dinner and was finally back home around 7pm. It was a busy day, but we got a lot done. We have to be up early tomorrow as Rylee will be here at 7am. Today's picture is of a hawk that landed on top of the bird feeder. We have never seen them that close to the house before.

Jojo's Pool Party...
We got up around 9am this morning, since we did not got to bed until after midnight last night. I went out and turned the grill on to clean it off and use some gas before Beth went to fill up both tanks. I then watered the plants and pickup some stuff around the deck. Beth came back with the tanks filled and breakfast. We then had to take Buster over to DJ and Maggie's house. We thought it would be easier to not have him here today with a lot of people around. We were home about 30 minutes when Kim, Lynne, and Jojo arrived. They began setting up stuff outside. The first guests arrived around 2pm. I went downstairs and worked on scrap booking stuff. I have been working on the layering of characters. It is fun, but very time consuming. They really make the page stand out. There were 6 kids and 6 moms here today. The kids had a good time swimming and playing. The party was done around 6pm. I went over to pick up Buster and he was ready to come home. Payton was not happy that I came and took Buster. He wants to come over and spend the night. We will try and set up something for Tuesday/Wednesday, but he wanted to come over tonight. Little tears were running down his cheeks and he just could not understand why he could not come over tonight. When he was alright about coming over later, I returned home. Kim and Lynne were packing up the car and left about 30 minutes later. We have a busy day tomorrow and will be on the go for most of it. Today's picture is of JoJo going off the diving board.
Eagles win...
I got up at 8:30am this morning. I took a shower and read emails. Beth got up around 9am and we had breakfast. I headed over to Dawn's around 9:30am. Dawn, Rylee and I headed to Dawn's credit union then on to Costco. I wanted to get some more of the corn bread mix they had. We searched the stored but could not find it. So Dawn picked up a few things and we headed back to her house. I left there and came home around 1pm. Beth had already left for the hospital. I had some lunch and headed downstairs to make robots with the cricut machine today. It is really fun learning and make new die cuts. Beth came home around 3pm and we rested for about an hour. We headed to the Eagles first preseason game. It was a good game and we have high hope for all the new players. We are hosting a swim party for Jojo tomorrow and have to get the back yard in order, so no sleeping late tomorrow. Today's picture is of the 2 robot die cuts I made today.

Slow gentle rain...
We slept until 9am this morning. It was a slow gentle rain outside, but not a lot of rain involved early. We had breakfast and I began cleaning the house. Beth took a shower and headed to the grocery store. I went outside to pull some weeds. The ground was still really hard and not wet at all. I had just finished and it began to cut loose. Beth made tuna fish salad for her mom. She hates the hospital food and needs to eat to get stronger. We had fried chicken for lunch and it was so good. Beth left around 3pm for the hospital. I went downstairs to begin making Disney characters with the cricut machine. I came upstairs to get some dinner around 7pm and Beth called to say she was just leaving the hospital. Her mom had some more fluid on her lungs, but they are going to wait until next week and put a drain tube in. She so enjoyed the tuna salad, she would like a tomato sandwich tomorrow. We had a ton of tomatoes and have a lot more turning red in a couple of days. We are going to the Eagles first preseason game tomorrow night and are so looking forward to it. Today's picture is of Jo & Rylee at Dorney Park in the rain.

Rylee is official...
We were up at 7am this morning. We had to be in Reading around 9am. Today was Rylee's official day of adoption. We meet the gang and headed inside to court room B. We were second in line. A Mennonite family was ahead of us. They had 77 people in there party for their adoption. After they cleared the court room we were called in. The lawyer first asked Jo some questions and then it was Dawn's turn. We were all very teary eyed when it was all over. It was about a 15 minute process and it was done. She is part of the village now and we are so glad. We all then went over to the Santini's house for lunch. It was great and Rylee was in a great mood. We left there around 2pm and headed home. Beth headed up to the hospital and returned home around 7pm. It was a great day and we are all glad it is over. Today's picture is of the gang that went to the adoption.
Tuesday, August 10, 2010
We got up at 6am this morning. Took showers and headed out the door at 7am for training camp. It took us about an hour to get there. There were already about 50 cars in the parking lot. We were able to find a seat on the bleachers and waited for practice to begin. There started out with drills for each phase of the defence. I don't think it was what Kyle was expecting. He was expecting some hard hitting scrimmage type game. So about 30 minutes into it he was bored. He went to check the numbers to see if we could get autographs and our number were not posted. Beth and I continued to watch as they did simulate game practice and then 7 on 7 drills. I think we have a lot of good players this year and can't wait for the preseason to start. We left around 10am after the first session was over. It was starting to get hot, so it was a good thing it was time to go. We came home and I fixed steak and salad for lunch. Beth had to go to the hospital again, so we had dinner for lunch. I took Kyle to go get the Madden NFL 11 that came out today. He was so excited and could not wait to get home and play it. I then had to pick up some cleaner for the steam vac. When I got home Beth was showered and ready to head out. I then spent the rest of the afternoon in the scrapbook room, working on some new layouts. I finally came up stairs around 7pm and Beth called to say she was on her way home. She picked up a couple of slices for pizza for dinner. It is now time for bed as we have to get up early again tomorrow. It is the official day of Rylee's adoption. We are go glad she will be joining the village tomorrow. Today's picture was taken at training camp and is of our 3 quarterbacks.

Dawn can't Pee....
We were up at 7:30am this morning. We had to see Dr. Bill for much needed adjustments. We then had to go to Wal-mart to get printer paper. Then we went to pick Kyle up. He is staying the night with us and I had some special jobs for him to do. We headed home and I got changed. Kyle and I headed outside. I first had Kyle clean out the big trash cans. He so loves that job, NOT. While he was doing that, I went around to the back area to cut the heads off the thistles. Then Kyle and I racked the leaves from the rhododendron bush. It was so hot and humid out that I called it a day. We came inside and Beth took Buster to the groomers. I then did his bedding, so it would smell nice. We had lunch and Dawn came over around 1;pm. She had an appointment to get a physical and we were going to watch Rylee. She was only hoping to we gone an hour. We got a text about an hour later, she was still waiting to get in. She was finally able to get in, but could not pee enough to leave a sample. She was not allowed to leave, so she had to wait until she could pee. We kept texting her and giving her a hard time. We asked her if we should send Rylee down to show her how to pee. It was so funny. She was able to give a sample and was back here around 5pm. We were able to get Rylee to take a 40 minute nap. I fixed chicken for dinner. Kyle was able to play Wii all day had a great time. Beth's mom had another great day and we are hoping she is out hospital soon. I got some bad news that my Aunt Pat is ready to go out of this life and only has about a week left. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her family. We are going to the Eagle's Training camp tomorrow and have to leave at 6:30am. It should be a fun day. The new Madden 11 comes out tonight at midnight and Kyle had ants in his pants all day about it. We pre-ordered it for him and he had been on count down every since. We will go pick it up tomorrow after we get back. I am sure he will want to go home then. Today's picture is of Rylee learning to make the piggy face. She is so cute with the little piggy noise she makes with it.

Football season begins...
Beth was up at 7am this morning. She took a shower and headed to church. I slept until 9am. Beth came home with the paper and breakfast. After breakfast, I went outside to water. Beth began cutting the grass, which was mostly weeds. The hot weather this years has killed most of the grass we have, but you still have to mow the weeds in the yard. I came inside and took a shower. I cleaned up the kitchen and then started laundry. Beth finished the grass and came inside for a much needed shower. We had lunch and DJ and Maggie came by to drop off the truck. We talked for a while and then they left. Beth left to go to the hospital to see her mom. I started printing pictures and found I was out of paper, so off to Best Buy I went. I was able to find 4 boxes of 100 sheets each, so I should have enough to get me through the ones I need. I saw a face book message from my cousin and my Aunt Pat is not doing well. I guess she had decided she is ready to let go, so we will see what happens. Our prays are with their family. I fixed dinner and ate. Beth came home around 8pm and I had fixed her dinner. We are now watching the fist game of the season, The Hall of Fame game. Football season has begun and we are so ready for it.

Killer wasps...

It was another nice relaxing lazy morning. We watched some TV before getting out of bed to have breakfast. I then went out to water and Beth took a shower. She had to go get Buster some dog food as he was completely out. After watering, I was on a mission to try and get rid of the cicada killer wasp nest in the back yard. As you can see from today's picture, they are a huge wasp and very hard to get rid of. Since we have a ton of cicadas in the woods behind us, there are a lot of them. We have had them before, but not this bad. I figured if I used the hose to flood the nest, they might get the message to leave. So off I went. I was able to kill 2 of the wasp and piss one off a whole lot. So I called it quits for the day and will how many new nests are there tomorrow. I then took a shower and we began looking for clothes for the wedding. Beth's niece was getting married and the wedding was in the heart of Philly. Beth's sister in law came over around 2pm and was riding with us. We left around 2:15pm in hopes of making it to the wedding by 3:30pm. We ran into traffic the last 9 miles and it took us 35 minutes to get through it. We were able to find a close place to park and hurried into the church. We made it with 5 minutes to spare. The ceremony was short and then we had to move the car to the reception. We found a parking garage, parked, and walked to the reception a block away. We found out it did not start for another hour, so we sat and waited. It finally got started around 5:30pm and the food was served at 6pm. They did the speeches and I was hoping for the cake cutting, but was wrong and the band began playing. We finally decided to leave at 8pm and they were going to cut the cake in a while. Too late. We headed home and ran into more traffic. It is never a good time to go to Philly with waiting in a traffic line some where.

Just another day...
We slept until 7:30am this morning. We took our time getting up and around. We really had nothing special going on today. I went downstairs to workout and then out to water. We had breakfast and Beth took a shower. She had to leave early this morning and go pick up her dad and take him to the hospital to see her mom. I took a shower and headed to BJ's for some shopping. I was back home around 3pm. DJ came by around 5ish to pick up the truck. They are about done with moving stuff to the storage shed and hope to get their house on the market soon. I made chicken, rice, and veggies for dinner. It was not an exciting day, but a productive one.

Another day with Princess Poo Poo
Beth was up early this morning and let me sleep until 7am. Dawn came in carrying Rylee like a sack of potatoes. I guess she had changed a poo poo diaper at home and Rylee finished her business on the way over and it was coming out the side. So Dawn changed her again and left for her class. We gave Rylee some Cinnamon maple syrup little puffs and she loved them. She then had a bottle while I went out to water. I fixed hash browns and eggs for breakfast and Rylee had a few banana bites. I took a shower and then played with Rylee while Beth took hers. Rylee was starting to get sleepy so she got a 4oz bottle and was fast asleep. She only slept for 45 minutes and was wide awake. We walked up the hall, all the way today with out stopping, she is making progress. While on Beth's watch, she had another poo poo. There is nothing wrong with her digestive system. Dawn came by about noon and Rylee had yogurt for lunch and then home. Rylee was sure to fall asleep on the ride home. We had lunch and Beth headed back to the hospital. They removed a liter of fluid from her mom's lungs today, so let's hope she does better. We had BLTs for dinner tonight. I have a ton of tomatoes and that is the best way I know how to get rid of them. Today's picture is of a covered bridge we was while looking for hex signs.

Poo Poo Princess
We had to get up early this morning as Dawn was bring Rylee over at 7:30am. Dawn is taking some classes to try and get a job driving a school bus. Rylee was not happy about getting up early. We gave her a bottle around 8am and she only drank about 3 oz and was done. We went outside and while I watered, Beth had her feet in the pool. Rylee loves the water and loves to kick her feet in it. Beth had to come in cause Rylee had a poo poo and it was a stinky mess. I finished watering and came in side for breakfast. Rylee was really fusses, so I fixed her cereal and opened her jar of bananas. Beth went to take a shower. Rylee only made it through half of the cereal and I knew she was so tired. I rocked her and she finished 2 oz and was out. She slept for an hour and 20 minutes and was wide awake. She now likes to walk up the hall holding on to your fingers. She is pretty good, but you can tell when she is tired, she just sits down. It is so cute. She had the rest of her bananas around 11am and Dawn came by at noon to pick her up. We are watching her again tomorrow and she will not be happy to have to get up early again. Beth had to go to the hospital today as they had to put her mom back in again. She was not able to breath and did not feel well. They think she might have fluid around her lungs. They want to start treatments for the cancer while she is in there also. So keep her in your prayers for a fast recovery.

Gnome Night...
It was sleep in late today. We finally got up around 8:30am. I went downstairs for day 2 of my workout and out to water. Beth was already outside doing the weed whacking around the fence. It was a cloud day, but we did not get any rain. We came in and had showers and then went down to pick up the car. It was finally fixed and does not smoke any more. Then we had lunch and headed to my hair appointment. We had tickets to the Reading Phillies game and it started at 6pm. They were giving away Ryan Howard Garden Gnomes tonight to the first 2,500 adults. We go to the park around 4:20 and you would not believe the line. One of the attendants said some people were in line at 10am this morning. When we finally found the end of the line, we both knew that we would never make the cut. The line seemed to move fast, but slowed when we were close to the front. We heard someone say that they were out of gnomes. They opened up the front gates at 5pm and we noticed that a stack of boxes just inside the gate. We were in luck and they still had a few. We were both able to get one. Just luck I guess. We found our seats and it was a hot and muggy night. There was not much leg room and the guy behind us was a nag. We finally left in the 5 inning as they we losing. We decided to leave and come home. We did notice that some people had already posted their gnomes on ebay. I guess this give away was the best in all the farm teams. No wonder everyone was here early.

New Weed Whacker...
I got up at 7:30am this morning. I went downstairs to start on my exercise program. I did the elliptical for 15 minutes. Beth was up by the time I was done. We had breakfast and then we went downstairs to move the treadmill. We moved it from the scrap book room to the TV room. Beth then went outside to start weed whacking. I knew it was not going to be good. The weed whacker never works for more that 20 minutes and then shuts off. Beth tried to work on it, but it was not good. She finally gave in, we went and got a new one. I was so happy. It is a 4 cycle and runs like a champ. She was able to knock out the weed trimming in no time. It is a little heavier than the last one, but it ran the whole time she needed it. We had some lunch and then went back outside to trim the tree limbs. Beth is tired of them hitting her in the head every time she mows the grass. I then went inside to take a shower and then went downstairs to work on the scrap booking projects from the convention. Beth went to get Chinese food for dinner. Today's picture was taken at the Philly zoo and is of a mama prairie dog and her baby.

Scrap book organization
Beth was up at 7am. She showered and headed to church. I was up around 8am. It looked like rain, but you just never know. I took a shower and went out to water. The temperature was not bad, so only the tomatoes got water. Beth came by and picked me up for breakfast. We then went to Wally world for a few things. I needed several storage containers for all the new scrap booking items. I spent the rest of the afternoon in the scrap book room working on the reorg of items and putting the new ones away. I was able to make a big dent in it, but found I now need a bookshelf to put all the scrap books on to make more room. Beth had to go up to her mom's today and organize the pills she needs to take. We were able to see the Phillies finally win a game. We did get a little rain and are hoping for more tonight.
