Football and fun...

Beth was up early as the cable guy was suppose to be here between 7 and 9 am. I got up at 7:30am and he was not here. He came about 8:30am and gave us a new box for the living room as our was defective. we took showers and headed to the ranch. DJ had told us about some path that was made through the field. When we got there we drove the path and found it lead to the river, so someone must have be using it to fish or float the river. So no big deal to us, Just wanted to make sure no one was putting up deer stands. we then went to Cabela's for some shopping. We found a few things and then went to Long John Silver's for lunch. I made in home in time to watch several of the college football games that started today. Beth cut the grass and then I fixed dinner. We had marinated flat iron steak and veggies. I then made grilled peaches with honey butter and yogurt on them. Yum Yum. So it was a day of fun and football. Can't wait for the NFL game to start next Thursday. The pictures are what Beth  saw yesterday morning out back.

Movie with kids...

Beth got up early and went to Dawn and Jo's house. I got up around 7:45am and her and Rylee were just coming in the door. Beth went to get milk and donuts for breakfast and I took a shower. Beth left around 11am to go pick up Payton and  Lynne dropped off Jojo around 11:15am. I fixed chicken nuggets and fries for lunch for the kids and Beth and I had salads with chicken. We loaded the car with all 3 kids and went to go see the movie planes. The kids had popcorn, cookies, and some soda. They all loved the movie and had a great time. When we got home, we had the kid make stepping stones to put in the new landscape area. They had a good time doing that. The kids then ran around the house playing. DJ and Maggie stopped by around 4pm to get Payton, Kim and Lynne got here around 4:15pm to get Jojo and Dawn was here around 5:15pm to get Rylee. The house was very quite after that , so we ordered dinner and are now resting after a long day. It was great having the kids and they play with each other now, so we only have to supervise. Payton fell asleep 5 minutes later at Wal-Mart.

Laundry and football...

After the gym, I started laundry and Beth went out to clean the mover decks. The rain was still coming down a little, but it was too wet to cut the grass. We had some lunch and I had to go to AC Moore and the grocery store. Dawn and Rylee came by around 5:45pm and then Dawn left for an appointment. We had Bar-B-Que chicken for dinner and it was really good. We then went downstairs to watch football as both college and pro was on. The eagles second team offence did nothing good to speak of, but the defense did have some shining moments. So now the wait for cut downs on Saturday to see who makes the team.

Rain Rain

We were up and at the gym by 8:30am. It was just beginning to rain, but looked like it was here to stay if it did. We got home and had breakfast and it was really coming down. I baked Rylee's cupcakes and then let them cool. After they cooled, I frosted and decorated them and they turned out nice. I took a shower and we had to go to Best Buy. we dropped off the cupcakes and Dawn and Jo's hose and head to Best Buy. We had just got on the bridge, when traffic came to a stand still. We sat there for about 20 minutes and then started to move, bet we could not any signs of an accident. We had to get a new modem for the house to see if that fixes out internet being dropped. It did rain all day long and is still raining. That means the landscaping that was to start tomorrow will not happen and will be pushed back til next week. Oh boy, here we go again.

Company...

We were up, at the gym, and back home by 10am. I took a shower and had just finished dressing, when the door bell rang. It was the guys from Deck R Us wanting to look at the deck again. We talked to them for a while and they a couple things wrong with the deck spindles and would be out to replace them. we never saw it, but once they point it out you can see it. Then the landscape came by to spray the grass and to get a look at the additional space for landscaping. They will start on the this Thursday. They left and we had some lunch, then Kim and Jojo came by. I had to run to the post office, AC Moore, and Bed Bath and Beyond. I was back home by 2:30pm and Kim and Jojo were just leaving. I left around 4pm to go see Rylee's last dance lesson as the parent got to go in the last 20 minutes of class. She was so cute and did a good job. I then brought Rylee home with me, as Dawn had a softball game. Jo came to pick her up around 6:30pm and we then had ribs for dinner. So it was a busy day with lots of people in and out all day.

Cleaning...

We were up and out the door by 8"45am. We were seeing Dr. Jill today as Dr. Bill was on vacation. After our adjustments, we headed to the gym and then came home. We had some lunch and Beth went to work on cleaning the garage and I cleaned the tool room. We worked on them til almost 6pm and then came in and took showers and had dinner. Now it is time for bed and I am so ready.

Draft day..

We were up and having breakfast by 9am this morning. I took a shower and began preparing the rest of the food for the draft party. Beth mopped the upper deck and then took her shower. People started arriving around 12:30pm and the draft started a little after 1pm. We took a break at round 8 and then finished the draft by 3:30p. Everyone had left around 6pm and we cleaned up. I helped Beth enter the teams in the computer and everything is ready to go. It is now bed time as last night was a late night.

Happy Annervisary...

We got up around 8am this morning and got dressed. We then went outside to do some work. I worked on weeding the flower bed and Beth scrubbed the fence. Wendy and Jeff came by for a visit around noon and it was nice since we had not seen them in awhile. After they left, I took a shower. Dawn, Jo, and all the kids came by for a swim. The boys and their sister had stayed the night and where going swimming before going home. Beth took her shower and we left to g to BJ wholesale club and then to dinner at the Melting Pot. We had a great dinner and then stopped by Dawn and Jo's house for a visit and watched the first quarter of the Eagles game. The first team players did not look that good, but we did win the game. We then switched to the Phillies game and it is in the 17 inning and still tied. I am off to bed and hope somebody wins soon.

Good game...

I got up around 8am this morning. Beth was already out washing the patio furniture. I started laundry and began cleaning the house. I took a shower around 11am and then went to Costco, the grocery store, and CVS. We had lunch out on the porch as it was a nice day. Beth got all the grass cut with only a few rain drops. We took Buster in to be groomer and then had to run to Beth's bank. we stopped and had dinner and then picked up Buster to come home. The Phillies beat the Diamondback in 9 innings with a bases loaded walk. It was a ready good game at least from the Phillies side. We then watched the football game and are now ready for bed.

Movie time...

WE were up and at the gym by 8:30 am and bay home by 9:45am. We took showers and headed to go get Payton around 11am. It started to rain and rained most of the day. We then picked up Jojo and headed to McDonald's for some lunch. It was then on to the movies and we saw Turbo. It was really cute and the kids had a good time. We dropped off all the kids and then came home around 4pm. We both took a quick nap and I started dinner around 5:45pm when Dawn and Rylee got here. Dawn left around 6:45pm for an appointment and Jo came by around 7pm. She had some dinner and then her and Rylee left around 8pm. We are now watching football and can't wait for the regular season.

More yard work...



We were up and at the gym by 8:30 am this morning. After the gym, we went to the nursery on route 100 to look at their day lilies. We did not find any but did 4 sculptures for the landscaping out back. I will take pictures tomorrow of them. We then came home and Beth worked outside removing several small trees from the flower beds. I know I was busy, but can't think of what I really did. So I guess that was it for today. LOL

Cindy got a job...

We were up and at the gym by 8:15 am. We came home showered and left around 11am to go see the landscaper. We talked about changes to the plans for the back yard and the plants we did not like. We left there and went to the pool store. The box for the pool sweeper was not working right, so we needed to get it looked at. Not sure what was wrong with it, but it could not be fixed, so they gave us a new one. We then went to get some lunch and then on to the AAA store. We had to make arrangements for transportation for the February trip and made a payment on it. We then went to the cable company and got new HD boxes for the TV. Then on to the beer store for a new keg for the draft on Sunday. After that, it was to the bank and finally home. Beth hooked up the new cable boxes and I tried to take a nap, but it just was not happening. My mom text me to say my sister finally a job and will start tomorrow. What a relief it was. We had soup for dinner and the a trip to Pier 1, but did not find anything.

Day of phone calls...

We were up and at the gym by 8:30 am this morning. We had breakfast when we got home and then it was a day of making phone calls. Beth had to call the cable company, the termite people, the lawn people, a couple more people. I had to call the hospital, my insurance people, the AAA girl,  and talked to my mom. I was able to get the yard sprayed for weeds and Beth got Pooh's corner cleaned out. It rained off and on all day, but did not amount to anything, just a pain in the butt. We had left overs for dinner and we are not watching the football game. I love having football on 5 nights a week.

Clean up...

Beth was up first and I got up around 8:15 am. We had breakfast and got dressed. I was going to spray the yard for weeds, but the rain started. So We cleaned out the back deck. It was a mess with all the dirt that had piles up from the rain and the bush need a trim. So we spent about a 2couple hours getting it clan and I will power wash it next week. We then worked on trimming some trees out back and I called it a day. I took a shower and had some lunch. Beth was working on the rocks around the pool deck and came inside about a hour later. DJ and Maggie came over for a visit and we had a good time.

No much...

I got up around 8 and Beth got up at 9am. We had breakfast and I took a shower. I put a roast in the crock pot for dinner. We then went to Wal-Mart for some cable for the TV and came home. Beth started cutting the yard and I finished laundry. We started watching football at 4:30pm and Beth went to church at 5:30pm. I fixed dinner when she got home and we spent the rest of the evening watching football. So I did not do much today.

New TV...

We slept until 8 am this morning. We then got up and went to the gym and stopped by Lowe's on the way home. I needed some Weed-B-Gone for the weeds in the back yard. Beth took a shower and went to get her hair cut. I took a shower and made us some lunch when she got home. We then went to JC Penney to return a pair of swim shorts I got the other day and Beth got a couple pair since they were on clearance. We stopped by BJ's on the way home to get some things for the church food drive and we also got a new TV for the living room. We came home and I took a little cat nap. We heard that our baseball manager was fired today and it was kinda sad, but that is how baseball is. We had chicken for dinner and then set up the new TV. is is really nice and bigger than the one we had there.

Kid day...

Beth got up the same time I did this morning, so that meant she would not be going to the gym. I left around 8:15 and was back home by 9:30am. Kim dropped off Jojo around 9:45am and Beth left to go to mass. She was back home around 11am and we had lunch around noon. Beth and Jojo spent the rest of the afternoon playing Wii and I worked on scrapbook stuff. Kim picked up Jojo and we left around 5pm to go get Rylee. We went to McDonald's for dinner, then back to their house. The Eagles' game was on at 7:30pm and we won. Our boys looked good on both sides of the ball. Dawn and Jo got home around 11pm from the viewing of Jo's uncle. So it is bed time for us and I am so ready.

Shopping...

We got up and went to the gym this morning and were back home around 9am. Kim dropped off Jojo around 10 am. I went out and worked on the edging on the flower bed by the drive way, put some grass seed down , and put together the deck box. Beth left around 11am to go get a free 1/2 hour massage. Jojo read her book as she has a book report due by the beginning of school. When Beth came home, we had lunch and headed to KOP. I needed a new inset for my bed pillow and then we went shopping at JC Penny's. I was able to find a couple pair of swim shorts that go with the new swim suits I got over the summer. We dropped off Jojo and then came home. CJ stopped by to get Liz's TV so the cable guy could hook it up and make sure it was working. I then fixed steak for dinner. I think we might turn off the air for awhile as it is cooler outside most of the night and part for the day. Only getting the 80 the next 5 days and getting in the upper 50's at night. We did not have much of a summer with high temps and I feel we will have an early fall.

RAIN everywhere...

We woke this morning to a god awful thunderstorm. It was raining and lighting all over the place. We went outside to check out the river that had usually run through the side yard and sure enough it was running again. It comes from the both streets and had no where to go by in our yard. So we went out to try and divert as much as we could , but had little luck. It is hard to tell from the photos, but the river running it the grass was about 5 inch deep. The stopped around 10am and we had about 4 inches in about an 2 hours. Flash flooding was all over the place. We left around 11am and went to BJ's wholesale club and got a TV for Liz and a few other things. We came home and had some lunch and the sun was shining bright. We picked up Rylee around 3:20pm and headed to dance class and then came home. Beth was afraid the pool would overflow, bit it stopped about 2 inches from the top. We had tacos for dinner and I am so ready for bed. Gym time tomorrow.

Dirt time...

We got up and got ready to go see Dr. Bill. We came home and I left to go get a load of dirt to back fill the flower beds. Beth had to go t Allen town to get a bone density scan. Nothing is wrong, her doctor just wanted a base line. I got home and started unloading the dirt and filling in the front flower bed. I then laid a line of pavers against the edge of the steps to create a little walk way to the water faucet. I then had some lunch and Beth called to say she was on her way home. I finished the top flower bed just as Beth pulled in the drive. We unloaded the rest of the dirt in the lower area and will figure out what to do there later. I talked to Eric about the landscape plans for the backyard and will meet sometime this week to make some changes. DJ and Kyle stopped by for a few minutes to catch up and deliver my spices I ordered from KC. Payton's car is in bad shape from hitting the wall last week and will not be racing Wednesday as it will not be fixed by then.

New sidewalk...

 

 

We both got up around 7:30am this morning, Beth went to church and I started laundry. I had 4 loads this morning and 3 loads last night, but it is all done and put away. I got 2 of the 3 tubs put away and will work on the last tub tomorrow. Beth got all the yard work done and it looks nice. We had steak salads for dinner and want to get back on the program. We only have 3 weeks before the final weigh in for the bet. The last 2 pictures are of the metal sculptures we got in P-town and can't wait to get them up. We love the way the sidewalk turned out and now waiting for the final landscape to be done out back. We also love the color the chairs give the deck.

Home...

We were up around 5 am this morning and left the island around 6:30am. We hit a lot of traffic and construction in Connecticut and made it home around 3 pm. We got the truck unload and checked out the new sidewalk. It looks pretty good and I will take pictures tomorrow. Not it is rest time and time to watch some football.

P-town final day...

We woke up this morning to rain and it rained until 6pm. We had scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. We then just hung around the house until noonish. We then walked into town and did some last minute shopping and headed back to the house. We watched Beauty and the Beast twice and packed a little. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee went to the dance and Beth and I went to see Kate Clinton. We came home and packed as much as we could tonight and will finish in the morning. We have had a great time and Rylee loved being other kids with 2 moms or 2 dads.

P-town day 6

 

 

We woke this morning to the sound of rain. It did not last long and never returned. We had some breakfast and Dawn, Jo, and Rylee went to the kids camp. Beth and I went to look at the metal sculpture guy we saw the other day. We spent a lot of time looking at everything he had and finally settled on three pieces he had and will commission him for a 4th piece. There are exactly what we were looking for to put in the back yard. So with that in mind, we decided to not stop at the flee market and just go home Saturday. We came home and had some lunch and then went back into town for some finally shopping. We came home and had a good rest before dinner. After dinner, we went to a pirate show. The pirate show was a blast and a good time for the little kids. We are suppose to get rain again today and some of tomorrow. Tomorrow will be our packing up day as we would like to leave around 6am Saturday.

P-town day 5

We were up at 7am this morning and left around 9am for the docks. We loaded the boat and headed out to sea. We were in luck and spotted a lot of different whales and they were pretty close. It was a great trip. About 3 hours later, we were back in port. We stopped at the Post Office Café for lunch and it was not the greatest and cost way too much. Beth and I walked to the west side and looked in several shops. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came back to the house. We meet up for the Brave show for the kids. Rylee had a great time and enjoyed the show. We came back to the house around 7pm. Rylee had a melt down and went to her room to chill and fell asleep. So we had adult dinner of hotdogs and burgers. What a great day.

P-town day 4

We got up again around 7:30am.  Dawn, Jo, and Rylee went to Kid camp and Rylee was able to stay for a couple of hours of play time. Beth and I went to do a little shopping and meet back up at 11:30am. We all walked over to the Pilgrim Monument and Beth, Jo, and Rylee walked up all the stairs and ramps to the top. Dawn and I choice no to make the climb and hung out at the bakery. They made it to the top in about 20 minutes which was really good time. Rylee made it all the way with our being carried. She was hoping Fiona would be there, from the Shrek movie, but she was gone shopping. Rylee was very disappointed. We then came back to the house and took naps. we left around 5pm to go to the beach and had a picnic dinner and smores. Rylee roasted her marshmallow be did not like it roasted. It was a pretty sunset and this picture does not do it justice. We have whale watching tomorrow, which should be fun.

P-town day 3

We slept until 7:30 am this morning. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee went into town to do the kid's camp and Beth and I caught up with then about 45 minutes later. We then took a walk down to the pier and got ticket to go whale watching on Wednesday. Dawn went and got an appointment to get a tattoo at 1:30pm. We came home and had some lunch and Dawn and Beth went to get Dawn's tattoo. Beth is thinking about it but can just not say the words. The rest of us took a nap until they got home around 3pm. We had some dinner and then went to play on the playground and then got ice cream. We walked around a little while and went into some of the shops. So we are back home and so ready for bed. It was kinds cool toady and very windy, but was still a nice day.

P-town day 1 and 2

We left home around 7am yesterday and headed to P-town. It rained most of the way here, but it was a nice gentle rain and all of our stuff was covered in the back of the truck. We stopped a couple times for gas and lunch. We finally made it to the house around 5pm. We unloaded everything and headed to registration and then to dinner. We came home around 7:30pm and unpacked and got ready for bed. We were all tired, but glad to be here.

We got up around 7:30 am this morning and had a light breakfast. We then got ready and headed to town for the Welcome Brunch. They had eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, and fruit. We visited with several families and then headed out. Beth and I walked around a little bit and Dawn, Jo, and Rylee went to the beach. Beth and came back to the house and took a little rest nap. The rest of the gang came back around 3:30pm and took showers. Beth and I ran to the grocery store and then we all went to the ice cream social. Rylee played with a friend she meet at the beach and had a good time. So now were a back at the house and having grilled chicken, mac & cheese, and backed beans for dinner.

So ready to go....

I woke up this morning with such a stiff neck and it never got any better. I took a shower and did the finally shopping, filled the truck, and came home. Beth had called to see if I could get in to se DR. Bill as they were not open today. The guys came and worked on the side walk. The got the upper one almost completed and it looks so nice. The still have a couple more days of work, so it will be a surprise when we get home. Beth had to go pick up the chairs and found a place with dry ice in Reading. Dr. Karen called and would be able to see me later in the evening. Beth finished cutting the grass and I got everything ready for the truck. Liz and CJ came over around 6pm and we went to dinner. After they left, we packed the truck with exception of a couple things and it was time to se Dr. Karen for a very much needed adjustment. So now it is time for bed, as we will get up at 5am, shower, and finish packing. We are so ready to head to vacation. P-town here we come!!!!!

House cleaning...

We were both up around 7:15 am this morning. Beth took a shower and headed to the doctor's for a check up. I began cleaning the rest of the house and got it finished before Beth was home around 11 am. I finished all the laundry and was able to get my clothes ready for packing. It rained most of the day and the guys were not here to do the sidewalk. We went to Max and Erma's for dinner and the to BJ's for the deli' stuff for the trip. I got 4 new tires and a front end alignment for my truck, so it is already for the trip.
