We got up around 6am and headed to breakfast at 7am. Mom had an omelet and Beth had fried eggs. They said they were both very good. After breakfast, we went back to the room to get our travel stuff and headed to the tender area. The bay was a little rough for the tenders, but we made it one and both was it a very hot a muggy day. We then traveled to the docking area and then started our shopping. There were only a few stores I wanted to go to as it was very hot and we were sweating like pigs. Mom got a couple pairs of earrings she was looking for, a t-shirt, and a magnet. I did make it to the Cabo Wabo cantina picked up some tequila. We then headed back to the ship. We stopped along the way and picked up a few more items, but could not wait to get to the ship. We were dripping with sweat and in need of a shower. Beth and I had some lunch and mom went to the smoking area. We took several great pictures today as you can see. We pulled anchor and headed to our next port around 2:15pm. We had dinner and are all ready for bed.

We got up at 7am and were having breakfast at 8am. Mom and I went to a Edible Bouquet demonstration as you can see from today's picture. We then stayed for a cooking class and got the receipt cards. Beth meet up with us and we did the Shop Til You drop speech which talked about the place to shop in port. We then had lunch and mom and Beth went to the casino. I had to go change some shore excursion stuff then took a nap. Mom and Beth came back to the room around 5:30pm and both were still in the winning. We had dinner in the Lido deck as tonight was formal night and we did not want to dress up for it. We tender to Cobo San Lucas tomorrow and will shop until we set sail at 2pm.
Day 1 - The Port of San Diego
We got up at 5:30am this morning. We were at the airport and on the plane to San Diego at 9:35am. It was a quick 45 minute flight. The baggage area was just around the corner of where we landed. All of our bags made it with no problems. We headed to the waiting area for the bus to take us to the ship. We boarded the bus and off to the ship we went. We got all checked in and we went to our rooms. We dropped off our carry-on bags and went to have some lunch. After lunch, we walked around the ship so Mom could ger the lay of the ship. We then had our lifeboat drill and off we went. We watched from the upper deck as we pulled out to sea. Mom did well and I think she is very excited. We watched the Phillies game until the 8th inning and then went to dinner. Dinner was great. Mom had some cobia, a white fish, with a lobster dumpling, Beth had prime rib and I had a really great pasta dish. We were all stuffed and ready for bed. We had to go sign up for internet minutes. They are a killer on board, 250 minutes for a $100. We have a big day planned for tomorrow with demonstrations and talks about up shopping in upcoming ports. We had a great day and are glad to be on our way.

Butt draggin...
We were up at 2am this morning and headed to the airport. We were all checked in and on the plane by 6am. The flight to Denver was a little bumpy, but we got in 30 minutes early. I was not able to sleep on the plane, so it was going to be a long day. We arrived in Phoenix at 10:45am. What the heck, we have already seen 10:45am once today. We got to mom's house and printed the boarding passes for tomorrow's trip. We checked the weight on mom's bags and she was fine. We then had to go to the bank and to Target. We had some lunch and came home. Oh my god my butt is so tired. So it is 7:30pm Phoenix time and I am ready for bed. We have to be ready to go at 7am, so that means getting up at 5:30am. But we will be on the boat and setting sail tomorrow afternoon.

Reday, set, go....
We go up around 8:30am this morning. We both had a list of things to get done and wanted to get started. We had cereal for breakfast and Beth started on cutting the grass. The ground was still wet, but it had to be cut. I had about 8 things on my list and started with laundry. Beth finished the grass and took a shower. We then headed out to do the remanding chores. Had to go see Dr. Bill and then to the bank. Stopped by Maggie's' house and dropped off the computer for Maggie to work on. Went to PetCo to get treats for Buster. Then to Lowe's to get a new light for the mud room and then an early dinner, since we missed lunch. I filled all the bird feeders and loaded 2 suitcases into the truck. So we are all ready to go and just waiting for 3am so we can head to the airport.

Eagles suck today...
Beth was up and out the door to church by 7:45am. I got up around 8:30am and took my shower. Beth brought breakfast home and we at cinnamon rolls. Gayle and Angie came by to get the key as they are watching the home while we are on vacation. After they left, we headed over to Dawn and Jo's house to visit and watch the Eagles. They played bad today and we lost our quarterback to a broken hand. The Phillies finally won a baseball game today. We had dinner with the Rhotini's and it was great. We came home and are ready for bed. Beth will cut the grass one finally time before we leave for vacation. We has final things to do tomorrow and will be ready to leave for the airport early Tuesday morning.

All packed...
We got up around 8:30am this morning. I took a shower and cleaned the inside of the shower. I then left and went to go pick up the dry cleaning and some milk. I came home and we had capt. crunch cereal for breakfast. Beth wants the capt. crunch shirt, so it looks like we have to get 3 more boxes of cereal. I finished packing all the dress clothes and Beth worked on the floors. She vacuumed and mopped all the floors, as they needed it. We are all packed and ready to go. I went downstairs to watch college football and Beth watched the Phillies lose another game. They play again tonight, so maybe they will do better. We are going over to watch the Eagles game with Dawn, Jo, and Rylee tomorrow.

Rain here again...
We woke up at 7:30am this morning. We headed to Beth's doctor appointment at 9:30am. The doctor looked at her good knee and determined it was strained quad muscles in her knee. She determined that it was due to the new sneakers she was wearing last week. So she will not be wearing those shoes any more. He gave her a couple of prescriptions and off we went. We headed to CVS as she needed to get additional prescription filled. We told them we would come back in a couple of hours to pick up all the prescriptions. We came home and I started laundry and worked on packing. My tower computer is a piece of crap right now. We had to re-install windows on it and it did not go well. So it is now time to get a new tower for my computer. Thank god I have my laptop and it is working fine. Beth had to install a new photo program on it so we could use in on the cruise. So we had some lunch and went back to CVS and picked up all 4 prescriptions and some dish soap. We came back home and Beth finished pull all the pills together for vacation. Beth worked on getting all the camera and electronic stuff together. It rained all day long today. A nice steady gentle rain which will be good for the grass seed we put out, but bad for the grass growing. Beth may not get a chance to cut grass before we leave as it is suppose to rain all week-end. The Phillies game is in a rain delay, so we will see if it gets played tonight as they are running out of day for a makeup.

Pool closed...
I got up at 4am this morning to begin round 2 of the prep drink. I had a hard time getting the rest of the liter down. I got about 3/4 of it and could not drink any more, but did drink 48 oz of water, Gatorade, and juice. Then the parade to the bathroom began until 7:30am, when I took a shower. Beth got up at 8am and took her shower. We headed out the door around 9:30am. I was in the procedure room at 10:20 and woke up at 11am. They did not find any reason for the anemia, but wants to do one more test. He does not feel that he will find anything, but wants to cover all bases. So I will have to schedule that after we get back. So we were back home by 11:30am. Beth fixed me some toast and I laid done for a little while. Beth left for her doctor's appointment around 1pm. I felt alot better, so I cleaned both bathrooms. Beth stopped and got lunch for us on her way home. She had another appointment tomorrow to see her knee doctor. They think she might have a MCL tear, so we will see. So we are looking at turning in early tonight as it has been a long day. The pool faries came to close down the pool, so we don't have to worry about it for the rest of the year. We still have to put the solor cover away, but everything else is ready for winter.

Prep day...
I was up at 8am this morning as I had to give blood at 9am. The needs to check how the Lipitor is working, so it is nothing major. I came back home around 9:15am and Beth was still sleeping. She finally got up around 9:30am and had breakfast. I on the other hand can only have clear fluids today as it it prep day and the colonoscopy will be tomorrow morning. So I figure if i kept busy I would not think about being hungry. So we left around 11:30 am and went to Target. I wanted to pick up some ponchos in case it did rain while on vacation. I also needed some knee highs to wear to dinner on the cruise. We then stopped at the Pack-N-Ship store and then went to Game Stop. Beth traded in her DSi and got the DS XL. The screen is so much bigger and she liked mine. We had credit for trading in alot of our games and she really needed the bigger screen. We then came home and it was time to start the prep drink. Oh my god this crap tastes like crap. I was able to get it all done, but needed to sip apple juice after each drink to get the taste out of my mouth. It started working in about 45 minutes, so thinks are good. I have to get up at 4am to drink the remaining liter and the scope is at 10am. I will be so glad to get to eat something after the test is over. Beth had a doctor appointment to see about getting some pills for the pain in her knee. I was able to get most of the suitcases packed today and only have the dress clothes left and will pack them this week-end.

Day before prep...
We woke to rainy gloomy weather. We had breakfast and I took a shower. Beth had a haircut and let the house around noon. After her haircut she dropped off the can food we had at a local food bank. We then started packing shirts and underwear for the trip. We are making good progress and have to wait for the laundry to be done to finish packing. We went to Lowe's and then out to dinner. I will not be eating tomorrow and the bathroom will be my best friend as tomorrow is prep day. I am just wanted to get this over with as I have so many other things to do. The Phillies had a double header today and for some reason have forgot how to win. They lost the first game and are losing the second. I hope the figure out how to win soon or we could be gone in the first round of playoffs.

Only nice day this week...
We watched the Eagles last night, so it was late before we got to bed. We woke up this morning to sunlight and cool temperatures. We had breakfast and I took a shower. I needed to get the last couple of items to the dry cleaners. Beth wanted to cut the grass , since this is going to be the only nice day this week. I came home and picked up the empty gas cans. I needed gas in the truck and had 20cents a gallon off, so I headed to the gas station. After filling the 4 gas cans and my truck, I used 29 gallons and it was $98. I then went to Bed Bath and Beyond. The soap dispenser in the kitchen stopped working and we needed a new one. I had a coupon and found the one I was looking for. Beth had finished cutting front yard when I got home. We had some lunch and Beth went back to cut the back yard. I was able to get alot of the mud room cleaned and stuff put away. This time next week, we will be packing up to leave early Tuesday morning. We are starting to pack a little at a time, so we should be done by Friday.

Congrats to the Phillies...
The Phillies won the NL East late night and it was a great game. Beth was up and out the door by 7:45am this morning. I slept until 8:30am and then took my shower. Beth came home and we had breakfast and I went to the store. We decided to just have a little bit of this and that for the football games all day today. Beth made pretzel bites and they were so very good. Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came by a little after one for a visit. The stayed until 3:30pm and headed home. We had a great day watching the Red Zone all day and the Eagles are playing now. The are not looking too good and have way too many mistakes. Maybe they can get it together and win. We will see.

Cooooooooold...
It was a cold and rainy day today. We got up around 8:30am and took showers. We headed down to BJ's wholesale club. We wanted to pick up a few things for the trip and Buster needed treats. we were back home around 11am. I cleaned the house while watching the Penn State game. I figure if I can get a little done each day it will not take that long to get the whole house clean. I finished the laundry and made dinner. Buster went to the groomer, so he will be nice and clean for Gayle and Angie. My mom is on a count done and very excited for the cruise. I think she is going to be very surprised at how big the ship is and I hope she has a good time. I am just looking forward to getting the prep and colonoscopy done this week. I am getting really tired of poked and stuck. I think fall is on the way as it was cold and rainy again today. The guys come and close the pool on Thursday, so summer is over.

A day at the doctor...
I got up around 8am this morning and took a shower. I had a doctor's appointment at 10:50am. I got there around 10:45am and only had to wait a little bit. I peed in the cup and was taken to the back room, you know the one. It is the coldest in the building and you have to take off all your clothes and put on these paper robe and paper blanket. So I waited and waited and the doctor finally came in and did the info part, then had to leave. So I waited again and she came back and did the breast exam and then left again. She was waiting on another doctor to call to see if the man in the other exam room was going to the hospital. So it was now my turn for the old pap test and I was out of there. I had to go back to Vanity Fair and return a couple of items we got last night. I then had a couple of errands and finally made it home around 3:30pm. Beth was working on digging out the ditch. She wanted to get the new section of pipe in and covered. She finished around 5pm and was dog tired. I left around 6pm to go watch Kyle in marching band. I had to put on a hoodie as it was a little chilly out. The air has a touch of fall in it and I hope we still have some warm weather coming.

Never good news...
We were up around 8:30am this morning. I fixed us breakfast burritos and then we took showers. I had a follow-up dentist appointment and I am was not looking forward to it. It never seems to be good news and today was no exception. The 3 upper back teeth are not closing up and will require surgery. So they will slice open the gum, scrape it out and sew the gum back up. Sounds painful and will be for a few days. So the first side will be done Oct. 19th and the not sure when the other side will be done. So I left the dentist and came home and picked up Beth. We went to Vanity Fair as I had a coupon for 20% off everything you buy. We needed another pair of dockers and some other things. We had dinner at Olive garden and stopped at Target. We came home and Beth is watching the second Phillies game and I am watch college football. The Phillies won their first game today and are doing well. The weather took a big change today. It was rainy this morning and then turned cold. It went from 70 degrees to 55 in a matter of a couple hours.

We were up around 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast, took showers, and headed back to Beth's parents house. We were able to get everything in the garage packed and ready to go. We then started making a sweep of the rest of the house. We left around 2pm and headed home. We had a late lunch and watched the Phillies win and clinch a playoff spot. We had dinner and then went to Target. I needed a few things, so I could finish packing the toiletries. The rest of the week will be busy. i have a dentist appointment tomorrow and then a doctor's appointment on Friday. We are going to Vanity Fair to do some shopping for dockers and shirts.

Grass cutting round 2...
Last night was a double header for football, so I did not go to bed until well after midnight. So need less to say we both sleep in this morning. We had some great cinnamon bread that Dawn brought back from her trip. I then took a shower and Beth went out to do round 2 on cutting the grass. I had a hair appointment at 12:30pm. You could see where the water had been on the road going over to Deb's house. The river was still high but back in it's banks. I stopped by CVS on the way home to get my prep drink for the colonoscopy next week. They called to day and had to move it back to Thursday as the doctor was going to be out on Wednesday. Beth finished all the weed whacking and grass cutting by 5pm and was hurting. I fixed dinner and we are both relaxing and going to bed early. We will go back up to her parent's house tomorrow to try and finish the packing.

Packing boxes...
We were up and out the door by 8:45am this morning. We had appointments with Dr. Bill and needed adjustments. After that, we headed to go get packing boxes. We stopped for breakfast and then went to Beth's parents house. We were able to get about 75%of the stuff in the garage boxes and labeled. I forgot to take the list of acceptable items, so we had to stop for the day. We feel good about getting everything done by the time we go on the cruise. We came home and Beth cut the front yard. It was like a jungle and more rain is on the way. Monday night football had a double headed tonight, so it will be late before we go to bed. Good thing we don't have to get up early.

Sunday football is back...
Beth was up at 7am and took a shower. Rylee was up around 7:30an and I got up at 7:31am. Beth went to church and Rylee and I got her clothes packed and she had breakfast. Beth came home around 9am and I hopped in the shower while Beth and Rylee had more breakfast. We then left around 10am to take Rylee home to her parents who were so glad to see her. we only stayed about 30 minutes and came home. We had to get the cover off the pool and the pool bag was full and not picking up anything else. But it did not take long for the rest of the leaves to be sucked up and clean. Then it was time for football to start. It was so nice to see the Eagles did a good job. There is still lots of room for improvement, but they looked good. After the Eagles game, we watched the red zone. We have to get up early int he morning as we are seeing Dr. Bill at 9am and then headed to Beth's parents house. We need to get everything boxed up and in the garage this week. That way it cane be put on the market and sold. We had a great time with Rylee last week and I know her parents are glad to be home and have her with them.

Water going down...
Rylee was up around 7:20am this morning. We watched TV and played until Aunt Beth got up. Then Aunt Beth and Rylee had breakfast while I took a shower. Then Beth took a shower and we headed out to the mall. Beth needed new sneakers and we had a coupon. We then went to Toys R Us. We wanted to some more play food and a tea set and they had buy one get one half off so it was a good time to get them. All the kids are in to playing with the cooking stuff downstairs and there were not enough food to for all of them to play at the same time. So we stopped at McDonald's for lunch and came home. We tried to put Rylee down for a nap, but after a hour of her talking to whom ever, she was not about to take one today. So we went down stairs and played until dinner. We had a great time and she was laughing up a storm and having a good time. We ordered pizza for dinner and it came about 5:30pm. We got cheese and an apple dessert pizza. Rylee loved the apple pizza and had 2 pieces. We were hoping to keep her up until 8pm, but she was fading fast. She went down around 7:30 and was out in 10 minutes. Dawn and Jo arrived home safe and sound and we will take Rylee over tomorrow morning. We have had a great time with her this week and will miss her when she goes back home. Tomorrow is the start of Sunday football and I am so glad.

Road still closed...
Beth was up around 6:30am this morning and I got up at 7am. Beth got Rylee up and dressed before Maggie dropped off Payton. Payton did not have school today as most of the roads that way were still flooded. So the kids had bananas and Cheerios and then off to take Rylee to school. Payton and I went downstairs to play and Beth worked on raking all the rocks back up on the drain. The heavy rains washed a big pile down towards the woods. She came inside and we had lunch, Then Payton and Beth took a 3 1/2 hour nap. I left to go pick up Rylee at 4pm. It took me 15 minutes to get out of the neighborhood. All the traffic is still be routing down our street. DJ came by to pick up Payton just as we were getting home. We had pasta with meat sauce for dinner and Rylee loved it. She wanted cheese on everything, but did clean her plate. She had a great time playing and took a tubbie tonight. She was ready for bed and it did not take her long to go to sleep. We will let her sleep as long as she wants in the morning as it is Saturday. The plan is to keep her tomorrow night and take her home Sunday, unless Dawn and Jo get home early tomorrow.

River rising...
We were up again around 7am. I took a shower and Beth got Rylee ready. We left for school around and found the road down by was was starting to flood, but we made it through. The on the way to school, the road back home had an accident on it and was starting to back up. So after dropping Rylee off, we had to find a different way home. The flooding was starting to get bad and the river is still rising. The rain was still coming down, but not as hard. We left to go pick up rylee form school and found the road had been closed and the traffic was re-routed by our house. So it was a long line of cars already and was only going to get worse. We picked up Rylee and headed back home. It took us awhile, but we made it. Rylee was happy to play downstairs this evening. We had dinner and played some more. Rylee got to talk to momma D and momma J this evening and was happy. She went to bed around 8pm and was asleep before the football kickoff. Beth will switching back and forth between the football game and the baseball game. We have Payton and Rylee tomorrow and will have to wait to see if either of them go to school tomorrow. Today's pictures are of the little cheese monster.

All over for now...
We were up at 7am this morning. Beth got Rylee up and dressed for school. I took a shower and got breakfast ready. Beth and Rylee had breakfast as I could not eat anything solid. Beth took a shower and we headed out to take Rylee to school. We got her all settled in school and headed out. It was raining again today. The rivers and creeks are beginning to rise and flooding is starting. We came home and waited. Beth had lunch around 12pm and We headed out around 1:45pm. We got all checked in and waited. I was finally called back, but Beth had to wait out front. I was a little nervous, but they made me feel comfortable. I got my IV and headed to the procedure room. I got all set up and 3 deep breaths and I was out. I woke up and was wheeled to the recovery room. I had some juice and was released about 20 minutes later. Everything was good except they found a hernia, which we knew was there from the body scan. So now they want to do the colonoscopy in 2 weeks. He said there was no blood in my stool. So we came home and I rested. Mom mom dropped Rylee off around 7:30pm. I put her down around 8:15pm and she was a little easier going down tonight. So we are watching the Phillies game and I am not long for bed. We will be up at 7am again tomorrow and I am really tired.

Rain again today...
It was raining again this morning and had rained all day. We were up early and out the door by 8:30am. We had a free breakfast at Chik-a-fil and it was really good. We then came back home and began working on the ceder closet. We could not get to the clothes and needed to see what we had for the cruise. It took us a couple of house to re-organize it and move things upstairs. We then got thing ready for Rylee. We are watching her the next 4 days. She will be going to school during the day so she can stay on her normal schedule. Dawn and Jo dropped her off around 7:30pm this evening. She was a little nervous going to sleep and it took a while for her to settle in, but she is sleeping now. We will have to be up at 7:30am in the mornings make sure she had breakfast before she goes to school. Since I have my endoscopy tomorrow, mom mom will pick her up from school and spend some time with her before she came back for bed time. The Phillies are getting a late start tonight because of the rain, but there is no free days for any make up games. So we will have to wait until morning to see who won.

Calm before the storm...
We woke this morning to a rainy gloomy day. We took shower and had brunch. It began raining heavy, so we were not sure if we wanted to go shopping or not. So we waited about an hour and the rain stopped, so we headed out. We went to the bank and then to Kohl's. There were to many kids of for Beth, so we left. We decided to stop at Best Buy as Beth was looking for a keyboard for the Wii system. All the college kids were home and getting computer and software. We came home and will finish our shopping tomorrow. Today is the calm before the storm. we will be getting Rylee tomorrow night and keeping her until Saturday afternoon. It will be a busy week as I have my upper endoscopy on Wednesday and a PAP test on Friday. We are also picking Payton up from school on Friday and keeping him the afternoon.

Draft party...
Beth was up and out the door for 8am mass. I got up about 30 minutes later. I still had several things to do before the draft started. So I baked the cookies and cooked the macaroni. I was able to get 3 loads of laundry done, but they will have to be folded tomorrow. I deep fried the chicken tenders and baked the mozzarella sticks and everything was done and ready to eat by 12:30pm. Everyone was here by one and we ate a little before the draft began. we finished the first 8 rounds in a little over an hour. We took another break and finished by 4:30pm. Beth will enter all the players chosen tonight as the season starts Thursday. Everyone was gone by 6:30pm and we cleaned up everything. It is going to be a very busy week, but one week closer to leaving for the cruise. I figure after this week is over, I will be able to start packing and getting things ready.

Waffles and Ice Cream...
We slept until 9am this morning. I took a shower and headed to BJ's wholesale club. I needed a few things for the draft party tomorrow. I wanted to get home before the college football games began. I made it home in time and started cutting up all the veggies. I was going to bake the cookie, but the oven really needed to be cleaned. I used the oven cleaner, but it did nothing. So I went ahead a set it to self clean, which is a 4 hour process and stinks. So Buster and I came downstairs, while Beth dusted and vacuumed. We went over to Jo's parents house for dinner tonight. It was waffles and ice cream for dinner. We had a great time and Rylee was her fun loving self. So I still have a few things to cook up tomorrow for the draft, but will have plenty of time in the morning. So glad it is football season.

Beth and Rylee had chicken nuggets and I had 2 cheeseburgers. We got them to eat at home as Rylee was fading fast. Rylee ate a couple of nuggets an then wanted my burger. She loves burgers. After lunch, Rylee went down for a nap with no fuss and slept for a couple of hours. Dawn and Jo stayed for dinner as we ordered from Ice House. We had a great day and look forward to have Rylee overnights next week.
