New Year's Eve..

Beth was up around 7am this morning. She had to be at her dad's house to take him to breakfast at 8:30am. I slept until 8:30am and then took a shower. Jo called around 9:30am to see if I wanted to spend some time with Rylee. She was taking Dawn to the Urgent Care. She has been sick since Christmas and was not getting any better. She had seen the doctor already and got some good drugs, but they just were not working. So I headed over to their house and was meet by a smiling Rylee. I was so glad to see her. Dawn and Jo left and Rylee and I played with her toys she got for Christmas. I fed her lunch and put her down for a nap. She was so funny. She was talking to herself and making all kinds of sounds. She finally fell asleep around 12:45pm. Dawn and Jo came home around 2:30pm. Dawn now has pneumonia and got some drugs in an IV to help her get better. Beth stopped by after she was done at her dad's house for a visit. Rylee finally got up around 4pm. Beth got her baby time and we headed home. I stopped by the store first as I did not know if they would be open tomorrow. I got home around 5:30pm and was just freezing. I could not get warm, so I sat in the chair with a blanket on and turned the heater on. I think I fell asleep and woke up around 6:45pm. I finally got warm , but was starving. So we have no plans for New Year's Eve except to get some sleep and hope the new year is better than last year. So Happy New Year to you and I hope the new year is good to you.

Busy Day..

We were up around 8am this morning. Beth took a shower and headed to her dad's house. I started laundry as I had 6 loads to do. I then took a shower and went to Target and the grocery store. We have been hit with mice this year more than normal and need to get some traps out. The got into my Christmas sock and ate my carmels. BASTARDS...they were my favorite. I had to leave around 1:45pm to get my hair cut and colored. It was way past due. But first I had to scrape all the snow off the truck. It did not take long and with the sun out it melted pretty fast. Beth came home around 5pm and we had a quick dinner, then headed over to do Christmas with Jojo. She loved all her gifts and had a princess type Christmas. We are now ready for bed as both of us had sore throats today, but I think it was just from the plane ride and dry air.

We are home...

Mom and Ken dropped us off at the airport around 8:45am this morning. We had no real wait for checking bags and no real wait for security and were at our gate by 9:10am. We grabbed some lunch and boarded the plane around 10:50am. We were a little late taking off and it was a full flight. We had turbulence all the way up to 37,00o feet and then it smoothed out. We landed on time and had a good tail wind to ride home. We collected our bags and headed to the bus to take us to the parking lot. We were glad to see no snow on the car or on the roads. We got home around 8pm and we opened out presents. Buster was so happy to see us. We had a great time visiting Mom and Ken and want to thank them for everything and especially for our gifts. It is nice to be home and sleep in our own bed.

Bingo Day...

We were up around 8am this morning. We had breakfast and then headed to bingo. We got there around 10:30am and set up. We then went to play the slots until it was time for bingo. I am not a slots player so after losing my 5 bucks, I went back in and played with my DS. Everyone else came back around noon and we ordered lunch. Bingo started around 12:30om. We used the machines which do everything for you except call out bingo. Mom had her machine and had additional cards. Ken won 2 games and the rest of us came close, but did not win. We left around 3:30pm and had a great time. We came home and I began packing. Beth and I had Chipotle and mom and ken had Culvert's. We are now watching the Eagles and hoping for a win. We will leave for the airport around 8am tomorrow and hope we take off on time.

Packing...

We were up around 8am this morning. We had showers and breakfast, then headed out the door. We went to Hobby Lobby. I got a gift card for Christmas and looked forward to using it. They had all their scrapbook stickers and paper for 50% off. So after looking at everything scrap booking and loading the cart, I headed for the check out. I think I did very well and only had to us $40 of my own money. We then went to Barnes and Noble. I wanted to get a screen scratch protector for Ken's ereader. We then went to the post office to turn in mom's application for a pass port. But they only take appointments, so she made one for Jan. 5th. We still have plenty of time before we go, so she is good. We then went to the store and then to lunch at Souper Salad. After lunch, we came home and everyone took a nap. Well Beth played her DS game and I napped. I then had to pack a couple of boxes to ship home as our presents would not fit in the suitcases. So we went to the UPS store and then on to game stop. Mom found a couple games and I found one. We then came home and fixed dinner of chicken and perogies. Mom had only had them boiled and I could see why she did not like them. I fried them in caramelized onions and they were really good. We are now watching football. Again it is strange for the game to come on at 6:20pm. We are going to bingo tomorrow, so it will be a busy day and our last full day in AZ.

Miss the NFL Red Zone...

We were up around 8am this morning. Ken, Beth, and I all had pie for breakfast. Mom had a sausage cheese biscuit. In AZ, the football game came on at 11am. It is really strange watching it that early. Mom does not have the red zone, so we watched the 49er and rams game. We flipped to the bears and jets game. We then watched the giants get their butts beat by the packers. It was a good game. I missed a lot of the second half has I was helping mom and Ken. They both got ereaders for Christmas and I had to help them set them up. Mom is not really sure she will like it as she does not read a lot, but Ken does. So I was bouncing back and forth on each one of theirs. We had leftovers for dinner and they were better the second time. After dinner, Beth and I went to Target. Mom wanted some Christmas bows and cards and we got some cards. Since the Eagles game was moved to Tuesday night, we are now able to see a college bowl game. So some football is better than no football. We have a very busy day tomorrow. We have to go to AAA, Hobby Lobby, and Barnes and Noble. It will be our last day of shopping as we are going to play bingo on Tuesday. Time has sure gone by fast and I will hate going home, but know we have to.

Merry Christmas...

We were up at 7am this morning. I fixed breakfast of hash browns, sausage, and eggs casserole. We then took showers and Lee and Cindy arrived. We had breakfast and then began opening our presents. The cats had a great time playing in the wrapping paper. I got lots of lock 'n' locks, which were much needed. Beth got lots of games for the Wii. We got lots of present and had a great time. It was fun being with my family for Christmas. Mom always gives us scratcher tickets and this year I won $33, but mom was the winner with a whopping $67. After presents, I began making the salads for dinner and the delved eggs. Ken put the deep fried turkey on and mom put the sides in the oven. We ate dinner around 3pm and everything was so good. We cleared the table and then just relaxed. The football game came on at 5:30pm. We were so glad to see the cowboys lose and mom was glad the cardinals won. It was nice to watch the whole game and then do things besides go to bed afterwards. It was a great day with family, food, and football. Merry Christmas to everyone and hope Santa was good to you also.

Christmas Eve...

Today was another busy day. After breakfast, Beth and I went to CVS to print some pictures. We got my mom 3 cat ornaments and had Tom, Jerry, and Pumpkin's picture put in them. Mom was so happy and loved them. Beth then made a cherry and a pecan pie. They look really good and can't wait to eat them tomorrow. We then had lunch and I had to install a new door lock and handle on the front door. I think mom's list is getting shorter and I love helping out. Mom made potato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. Beth had tomato soup. We then went to Glendale to look at the lights they have. There are really pretty, but kinda strange seeing palm trees with Christmas lights. We then drove around looking at some houses that were really decorated for Christmas. We were back home around 8:30pm. Beth and I changed and went to Christmas mass. It was a really interesting mass and we both enjoyed it. So we are back home and waiting for Santa to come. So Merry Christmas to all and we hope Santa brings you all you want and more.

Zoo Lights...

After breakfast this morning, we had some running around to do. We had to go to the water store, get gas, go to the movie place for a gift card, then on to the grocery store. We were back home around 1pm. We had a leftover pizza for lunch and then took naps. We headed to Cooperstown around 5pm. It is restaurant owned by Alice Cooper. I had the mac and cheese and it was great. Beth had the brisket and it was really tough. Mom and my sister had fish tacos. We then headed to the Phoenix zoo for the Zoo lights presentation. The line to get in was really long and took about 20 minutes, but once inside it was great. The zoo had several displays with lights around. The dancing trees was set to music. It was really fun and we had a good time.

Rainy Day...

We were up around 7am AZ time. We took showers and I looked over some papers mom had on getting a new roof. I did not like what they had and when Ken came home we talked about it. We then had breakfast. Mom got Beth Lucky Charms and she was in heaven. We then went shopping. It was a rainy but warm day. Ok at least warm for people visiting from PA. It was 69 degrees. We headed for dinner around 5 pm. We went to the Organ Stop. They have really good pizza and a guy plays the pipe organ with several different instrument add-ons. It is really cool as seen in today's picture. Mom had a long list of stuff for me to do on her computer and updates for her Garmin. So we worked on doing it after we got home.

Finally in Phoenix...

We were up around 8am this morning. We finished packing and had breakfast. We loaded the car and left around 10:30am. Buster was not happy at all. We had a quick drive to the airport and found a close place to park. We did not have to wait on the bus, nor did we have to wait for curbside check-in. Things were going well. Then we got to the gate and we were already 20 minutes delayed. No problem. We started watching Beauty and the Beast. We boarded the plane and then sat and waited and waited. We took off about an hour late. The flight was smooth and we arrived around 7pm. We decided not to go to the Organ Stop tonight, but will go tomorrow. We grabbed some dinner and came home. We unpacked and are now relaxing. It was 65 degrees and felt great.

Only hours left...

After breakfast this morning, I headed out to do some shopping. Beth took a shower and headed to her dad's house. I was back home around 11am and started working on the final things on the To Do list. I had to feed the birds, fix the blow up snowman as he was leaning, finish cleaning the kitchen, get the rest of the clothes together, and several other things. I sat down for lunch and my friend Shelly called from KC. We talked for about 30 minutes, then I had to call my mom. As I was talking to her, I had to print off our boarding passes. Beth came home around 2:30pm. I then had to run to the bank and to CVS. We had dinner plans with Jess and Amanda at Olive Garden. It was a nice dinner and we were back home by kick off. Beth is doing the floors now and the packing is all done. Just a few things for the morning and we will be out the door by 10:30am. So we are down to only a few hours before we leave. Today's picture is of Kyle yesterday.

Christmas with the kids...

After breakfast this morning, we began working on a few last minute things before the party. DJ, Maggie, and the boys got here around 12:30pm. Payton took a nap before the Dawn, Jo, and Rylee arrived at 1:30pm. We ordered pizza around 2pm and Payton was up around 2:30pm. Rylee even loves pizza. She had 2 teeth on the bottom and the tops are trying to come in. Rylee finally crashed around 4pm. She was back up around 5pm, but was not a happy camper. Between teeth and very little nap, she was cranky. We opened presents and the kids liked everything they got. Dawn and Jo took Rylee home and she was ready to go. DJ, Maggie, and the boys left about 15 minutes later as they had to bake cookies for Payton to take to school. We loved watching the Eagles get a come from behind win and are so happy the Chiefs won also. It was a great day and we thank everyone for coming and we love our gifts.

Ready to Kick the cold...

Boy did we sleep in this morning. It was almost 10am before we got out of bed. I took a shower and we had breakfast. DJ came by to bring over pictures of Kyle and Payton with Santa. We had to make her some more prints of the Santa picture. We had a nice visit. DJ and I left at the same time. I had to go to the grocery store and to CVS. I started laundry when I got home and began dusting our room. I am not sure why it gets the most dust, but it is clean now. Bathrooms are clean and ready to go. Beth finished the final touches on the downstairs bathroom and it is all ready. I am about 60 % packed and Beth, well let's just say she has a long way to go. We are having Christmas with the kids tomorrow and it should be fun. I am so ready to trade in the 20 degree weather for some 75+ degree weather, even if it is only for a week. Today's picture is of Payton with Santa.

Happy Birthday Jojo !!!

Today is Jojo's 6th birthday. Happy Birthday girl. Beth was up first this morning. She was showered and out the door before 9am. She wanted to get to her dad's and get stuff down before 2pm. I slept in and then began cleaning the dinning room. I am going room by room and hoping to be done by Monday. I think I will make it. Beth was home by 1:30pm and Kim dropped off Jojo around 2:15pm. She was spending the afternoon with us to open her birthday presents then we took her to dinner. After dinner, we all went to pick up Kurt at school. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive up there. Jojo fell asleep around 7:30 and woke just as we got to the college. We did stop at the Krispy Kreme donut place on the way and got some for breakfast. How cool is that ? Jojo was very excited to see Kurt and talked non stop all the way home. We had a great time, but are so ready for bed.

Oh my god, only 5 more days...

After showers this morning, we left to go see Dr. Bill. Beth needed another adjustment on her neck. It was only 18 degrees when left, so I decided to stay in the warm car and listen to Mike and Mike on the radio. After her adjustment, we headed to BJ's wholesale club. We stopped at Wegman's for breakfast rolls. They were great. We did our shopping and then went over to Lowe's. I needed an extension for the bathroom drain and wanted to get it done today. We came home and I fixed the bathroom sink. It is all done and no drips. Beth spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and hanging all her metal signs in the bathroom. Only one thing left and that is to hang the door. It really looks nice down there except for the shower, but there is nothing we can do about it right now. We had Jack Stack chopped brisket for dinner tonight and it sure was good. We only have 5 more days before we leave for Phoenix for Christmas. We still have not packed, which we all know is driving me crazy. I still have to clean the house and get things ready for the house sitter. We are having our Christmas for the Rhotini's and the McWalters on Sunday and I still have things to do to get ready for that. But some how, some way it will all get done before we leave. I hope...

Loose Ends..

We slept late this morning. After breakfast and showers, we went to the pack and ship to mail packages. I like having all the addresses already in the computer as it saves time. We left there and stopped for a slice of pizza. I had the taco and Beth had the buffalo wing. We came home and started on the downstairs bathroom. We started on the medicine cabinet. We had to remove the current bracing and cut it down then reinstall it. Beth had to leave to go to the doctors, so I finished drilling the holes and had to wait to install in until she got back. I next worked on the new light. I turned off the electricity to the light and removed the old one. I rewired the new one and added the light and cap. It worked with no problem. Beth came back home and to top it off she now has Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The doctor gave something for it and something to help calm her nerves. So we installed the cabinet and then moved on to the vanity and sink. We drilled a hole for the drain and installed the facet. I tried to install the drain but it was too short. So off to Lowe's I went. I got a couple of thing that I thought might work, but they were too big. So we worked on just cleaning up the the excess tool and crap laying around. Beth installed the threshold and we called it a night. I will go to home depot and see if they have what I need tomorrow. So little by little all the loose ends are coming together.

Packages are ready...

Beth was up at 7:30am this morning. Dawn came by to pick her up. They went and had breakfast and then to go pick up the jeep. I opted to sleep late and have breakfast at home. Beth was back home around 9:30am. I had made the guest bedroom and got it all read for our house sitter. Beth had 2 more batches of cookie to make and needed butter. So she ran to the store and I made us lunch. After lunch, Beth began her cookie making and I worked downstairs. we both finished up around 4pm and took a little nap again. I think the cold weather is a great time for napping. The high today was 25 and we had snow off and on all day. And the wind was really blowing. We had to run to the mall and decided to eat there. I have been craving salad the last couple of day and they have a big salad place in the mall. After the mall, we came home and I started boxing up the cookies to send to friends. I have 4 boxes to take to the pack and ship in the morning and hope they get to them before Christmas. We are going to try and finish up the bathroom tomorrow. We only have a few items left and want it done. We are having Christmas on Sunday with 3 of the kids and their parents and want a working bathroom. Jojo and her parents will not be able to make it, so we will have Christmas with her when we come back home. Time is flying by and we are not even packed for our Arizona trip. Guess it will all get done one way or the other.

Monday morning...

We had to get up at 7:30am this morning. We left to go see Dr. Bill at 9am. Beth is having problems with her neck again and will need to see Dr. Bill again on Thursday. We left there and had to go pick up the jeep at Kim and Lynne's house. The check engine light is on, so we needed to get it looked at. I followed Beth to the jeep dealership and then we stopped and had breakfast at Friendly's. I had the strawberry filled french toast and Beth had eggs and pancakes. It hit the spot on a cold winter morning. We came home and Beth left to go see her dad. I finished the last batch of cookies and did a couple loads of laundry. I had a lunch and Beth was home around 3:30pm. We both took a short nap and I started dinner. While dinner was cooking, I made the chocolate pretzel rods. After dinner, Beth began making her cookies. I had to run to the store for a couple of items she needed and boy was it windy and cold out. I went downstairs to begin the clean up process. Dawn called and said Rylee's doctor appointment was cancelled tomorrow and we would not see her. What a bummer. Today's picture is another one of Rylee's Christmas pictures.

Rest...

We slept until 8:30am this morning. We had breakfast and showers, then headed to Lowe's and Micheal's. We were back home by 11am. I began frosting the sugar cookies and Beth was on the computer. We watched football the rest of the day. It was kinda nice to rest up a bit before going full speed next week. We had Jack Stack for dinner. Bar-b-Que brisket with baked beans and corn casserole. Boy was it good. It rained all day, but I will take that over snow.

Cookie Baking..

We slept until 9:30am this morning. We had breakfast and showers. Beth headed out to do some shopping and I began making cookies. I started with the vanilla chip cherry cookies. Then on to the pecan drizzles and then on to sugar cookies. Beth came home around 3pm. The last cookies we made were snowman cookies. They all turned out great and Beth loves to sample them. It ended up being about 15 dozen all together. I still have a couple more to make and then Beth will bake chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin on Monday. That way I can pack them up and ship them off on Wednesday. We are hoping to finish our Christmas Cards tomorrow while watching football. We only have 10 more day before we leave to spend Christmas with my parents in Phoenix. It will be the first time Beth will be away from PA at Christmas time.

Night Out...

We were up again at 8am this morning. Beth headed to her dad's house and I went to the grocery store. I wanted to get a jump on my cookie baking. So after the store, I came home and started laundry. I then had some lunch and began the baking process. I have chosen 6 different cookies to make this year. As I was getting the ingredients for the first batch, I discovered that we had a bottle of almond extract, but it was empty. So it was on to cookie number 2, a lemon cookie. I decided to use the Kitchen Aid mixer this years as my hands just can't take the stirring. Oh was it a big help. So I made about 4 dozens cookie and they were pretty good. Beth came home from her dad's house around 4pm. We went out to dinner and a concert with friends. It was a nice time. So tomorrow, I will finish my part of the cookie making while Beth does her shopping.

Toilet installed..

We were up at 8am this morning. Dawn came by for a visit and to pick up the pictures of Rylee. After she left we had breakfast and showers. I took Beth to pick up the Jeep and I went to the bank. Beth stopped at Lowe's to pick up the door hinges and a couple of other things. Today was the day to get the toilet installed downstairs. So off we went. We had problems with one of the bolts not fitting, so we went to plan B and added a spacer and used a different screw. Beth could hardly wait to turn on the water. So slowly the water was turned on and no leaks. We did the flush test and no water. So Beth is a happy camper that the toilet is now working. We decided that we could only get a 20 inch vanity and the choices were very limited. So off to Lowe's we went to get the vanity and a water supply line. We carried the vanity downstairs and set it in the space and boy does it look good in there. We want to install the mirror first, but need to shut the electric off first. We will then install the light and new switch. We then left and went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get the towel bar and toilet paper holder as I had coupons. We came home and I fixed steak for dinner. We then went back downstairs and Beth worked on the toilet paper holder and I finished wrapping presents. We have so many things to still do in the next 11 days. I am starting my baking tomorrow, so I can get the rest of the packages mailed.

What now...

We were up early this morning. We had to take the jeep in to get the brakes checked on it. After dropping it off we stopped by Lowe's to get a couple of tiles and to look as faucets. We then came home to change cars and went to IKEA. We had to take back some items and exchange them for different things. We then drove down to Home Depot to look at theirs faucets. My ears started hurting and felt swollen. This is the second time this has happened. We left Home Depot and walked a ways to BJ's Wholesale club. When I got in the store both my face and ears were swollen. It felt like hives, which I had when I was a kid. We did some shopping and then left. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then to the Disney Store. We came home and both took a quick nap. We headed to DJ and Maggie's house at 6:30pm. They are looking at a new house and wanted us to check it out. As I was checking out the outside, I could feel my face swelling again. I had a hat on this time so my ears were good. It was kinda scary. I did some research when we got home and found I may be allergic to the cold. Just great. I will call the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get in. It seems to be the cold weather causes hives on the exposed area. Guess we sill spend the winter in Florida.

Oh what a day...

We were up at 8am again this morning. We had a lot we wanted to get done. The new refrigerator was being delivered between 10am and noon. So we had breakfast, got showers, and Beth went out to pick up poop. The guys were here around 10:30am. The fridge was installed and running and they were gone by 11am. It sure looks nice and fits great. We then turned our attention to the tiles. I took the paper backing off and made sure they were turned the right way and Beth laid them down. The process of laying the whole tiles went fast. Then we came to the cutting part. I was of no use cutting. I could not hold the straight edge and cut. I just don't have the hand strength any more. So Beth took the measurements and I set up the tiles for cutting. We did really well and were able to get them all done by 2:30pm. We had some lunch and then took a rest period. DJ called to tells us that Kyle got beat up at school this morning. Long story short, he tried to do the right thing yesterday about seeing a fight, but it got him beat up in gym class. Not sure what the school is going to do about it as they are still looking into it. Then to top it all off it appears the Kyle might have rheumatoid arthritis. He is going to see a specialist to see if it is true. So it was one heck of a day.

New tiles..

We slept until 8am this morning. Dawn stopped by for a visit and had to go do some realtor business. We took showers and headed to Home Depot, the post office, and Lowe's. We found some new tiles for the bathroom downstairs and will put them down in the morning. We would like to complete everything by the end of the week-end. Beth left and went to her dad's house. I was able to get the bows and tags on the rest of the Christmas presents. I only have a couple more presents to buy and I will be done. It was cold here today and we had some flurries. I am going to do my baking this week-end so items cane be shipped by the 15th. So much to do and running out of time.

Christmas presents wrapped...

Rylee had a great night last night. I heard her cough a couple of times, but she slept until 8:20am this morning. We had oatmeal for breakfast and then went downstairs to play with the toys. Dawn and Jo came by to pick her up around 12ish. She was so ready for a nap. We tried to feed her some baby food for lunch, but she was having no part of that. She wants real food now. So she had cottage cheese, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cranberry sauce. She loves cranberry sauce. We settled in watching football on the big screen. I wrapped all the presents and even got some of the bows and tags on them. I will finish the rest tomorrow as I am tired and going to bed.

Rylee spending the night...

We slept until 9am this morning. We had breakfast and I took a shower. I had to go to Kohl's for a couple of Christmas gift and had a 15% off coupon. I then went to Giant as I had to redeem our free certificate and got a party size lasagna. I came home and Beth was working on the bathroom floor. I cleaned the dinning room and kitchen. I also started laundry. I went to to see how Beth was doing and it was not good. Some how the glue and and tiles were not working. She was in tears. So the project stopped and we will work on it Monday. I think the stress of the holidays, her dad and this project have caught up with her. So we had lunch and just relaxed for a bit. I made dinner around 6pm and Dawn, Jo, and Rylee came over around 6:45pm. I am watching Rylee tonight and the rest of them are going to Wendy's Christmas party. I had the option of going, but who could turn down watching football and playing with Rylee. Not me for sure. So they all left around 7:30pm and Rylee and I went downstairs to play. All her toys are in the playroom now and she loves it. We played until 8:45pm and then got ready for bed. She had her bottle and went right to sleep. No fuss or crying. The time we had was too short, so I am glad we have all morning to play some more. She went and had her 1st birthday and Christmas pictures taken today. As you can see for the picture, she did great. I just love them and she is so cute. Not sure what time Beth will be home, but I don't expect her to be too late and I hope she has as good time as I did with Rylee.

Run Run Run...

I had to get up early this morning, as I had to be at the cancer doctor at 9:15am. All test were good and I will have another body scan next July. If all is good, then I will not have anything for the next 5 years. After I left the doctor, I headed to Exton to do some Christmas shopping. I hit about 5 stores and then went to BJ's Wholesale club. On the way back, I was getting really hungry. I had not eaten breakfast and it was already 1pm. So I stopped at Subway for a quick sandwich and then more shopping. I finally made it home around 2:30pm. I was able to find most things I was looking for and even a few things I did not know I needed. Beth was home around 5:30pm from her dad's house. I made dinner and we headed back to Target. I just love shopping with coupons. Leapster Explorer $70 on sale for $60, $10 Target coupon combined with $10 manufacturer coupon equals Leapster Explorer for $40, priceless!

Payton to the doctor..

I got up around 8:00am this morning. There was a text to call Maggie. She said Payton woke up with a rash on his chest this morning and had a doctor's appointment at 10:20am instead of 2:40pm. So I took a shower and got dressed. Beth was up and we had breakfast. She put the car seat in the car and I left to go pick Payton up at Maggie's mom house and then on to the doctor. We had to wait awhile, but finally got to go to the back. They did a throat culture and it was negative. The doctor believes the rash was just a heat rash and was nothing to worry about. But since we were there he went ahead and gave Payton his flu shot. Payton was not to happy to hear it was a shot. He did well and only cried a little bit. We left there and came home. Beth took us to lunch at Friendly's. We did a little shopping in the mall then came home. Payton took a nap and Beth set up the camera equipment. After Payton got up from his nap, we changed his shirt and went to take his picture. DJ and Maggie are sending them out in their Christmas cards this year. DJ came by to get Payton around 5pm. Beth and I left to go check out some Hallmark stores. We were looking to the Christmas count down ornaments for the kids. We thought it would be a good gift for them so they could track when Christmas will be here. Rylee is a little young and maybe even Payton, but it will be good for them next year to have. We stopped and got dinner and are now watching the Eagles play. I have to get up early again tomorrow, as I have a doctor's appointment at 9:15am.

IKEA Shopping...

It was another rainy gloomy day when we got up this morning. We had 2 1/2 inches of rain last night. We had breakfast and then decided to go to IKEA. Beth was looking for storage for her wine. So on our way we went. We looked at several ideas and decided to get a wooden shelf unit. It was a little bigger that we original thought, but it also get us some more storage room. We had lunch at IKEA. Beth had chicken fingers and I had the Swedish meatballs. We did some more shopping, then loaded the car and came home. Beth began cleaning out the area for the shelf. I came upstairs and finished putting out the rest of the Christmas item upstairs. We had dinner and went to Lowe's. Beth had over 100 screws to put in for the shelving unit. We got a socket bit for the drill to make it easier. Beth began putting the unit together and if I know her she will have it done by the time she goes to bed. And it is!

No Termites...

We were up early this morning. Dawn came by around 8:30am with donuts. What a great surprise and thank you. I left around 9:30am as I wanted to do a little shopping. Beth headed to her dad's house. I had to be back home by 1pm as the termite guy was coming to do an inspection. We have no termites and he said nothing has been eating the bait which is good news. The question is do we continue the service? We live so close to the woods that you just never know, but is it worth piece of mind? So after he left, I called Beth to tell her the good news. She was leaving soon and was home around 3pm. It was a rainy yucky day, but the temperature was almost 60 degrees. I ran to the grocery store and they had fresh coconuts, so I picked up 2 of them. I just love them and Beth is still trying to determine if she likes them or not. I made steak for dinner as we were getting tired of turkey. We were able to get the Christmas tree up and decorated. Beth said if Dawn got her tree up today we would get ours up. So thank Dawn. Today's

picture is of Rylee in her new chair she got for her birthday.

Outside decorations up..

We were up at 7am this morning. I had to go give blood at 8:30am and then on to see Dr. Bill at 9am. We had a heavy frost last night and the car had to sit in the driveway as all the Christmas stuff is in the garage. We made it to the blood place at 8:18am. I finally made it to the first window at 8:45am and had my blood taken at 9am. So much for having an appointment. Dr. Bill was on vacation, so Dr. Jill was running a little behind. We were finally done there at 10am. We went and had breakfast at McDonalds as we had coupons. Then I had to go to the UPS store to mail a few things. Then we went to Lowe's to return the lights bulbs that did not work and get a new light switch for the bathroom. We finally made it home around 11am only to find the electric was off. We knew it was going to happen between 9 and 1pm, so it was not a surprise. They had to hook up the house across the street, so it only took 45 minutes more after we got home. We went ahead and started putting out the outside Christmas decorations. We had everything out and hooked up by 12:30pm. We still needed to put up the house lights, but wanted to get some lunch first. We also had to reset all the clocks. We had lunch and headed back outside. It only took us an hour to get up the house lights. I love the little thing that just snaps onto the gutter. It saves so much time. We then put all the empty tubs back upstairs and the car had it's nice warm home again. Beth worked on the floor and put the adhesive down. We then had dinner and she went back down to put the tile down. She wants a toilet in by this weekend. She is tired of running upstairs to use the potty. So once the floor is done, I will set the toilet and then see what kind of vanity we want. I am going shopping tomorrow to see if I can finish up my Christmas list. Wish me luck.

Happy 1st Birthday Rylee

Today is Rylee's first birthday. Boy did time fly by. After breakfast, Beth cut the front yard. She said it was kind of strange listening to Christmas music and cutting the grass. It will be the last time this year. We are going to put out the Christmas decorations tomorrow and they will come and get the mowers for service. I started laundry and began cleaning the dining and living room. By the time we both finished it was time for kick off. The Eagles looked bad today and are hoping they can find the end zone soon. But the Chiefs looked great and are still tops in the division. The Eagles will get another chance on Thursday to see if they can do any better. The pictures today are from Rylee's birthday party yesterday.

Rylee's Birthday Party..

We were up around 8am this morning. We had pie for breakfast and were looking at magazines when Dawn called. She wanted to know if we could help them with some party stuff. We said of course. We left the house around noon to go pick up the sandwiches and balloons. We then headed to their house. We got there and took the balloons in first. Rylee was so happy to see the Elmo balloon. Since she was suppose to be asleep, I took her upstairs for her nap. She finished her bottle and just laid on my chest and went to sleep.Dawn said she was ready at 10am for a nap but it was too early. So there was no fight in her going down. We went downstairs and set up what we could. Jo came home with the rest of the food. Everyone started arriving around 4pm. There were about 30 people there. Rylee loved her cake, but was not sure what to do with it. So with a little help from her friends she ate the frosting. After a much needed wipe down, she opened presents. She did really well with the whole concept of presents, but was done 3/4 the way through. It was a great time. We headed home around 8pm as it had been a long day for us.

Black Friday Shopping...

We went to Wal-mart at midnight last night, but we very disappointed. The thing we wanted was gone and of course they only had 5 of them. so we came home and went to bed around 1am. We got back up at 6am and headed to sears. We were looking for a new refrigerator for downstairs. We are using 3 smaller ones and just need more room. So we found one that will work and saved $500. It will be delivered on Tuesday 12/7 . We then went to Target and Best Buy with no luck in getting anything. We stopped a couple of other places and then headed home for a quick break. We meet Dawn, Jo, Rainey, and Rylee at Babies R Us. We found a few things for Rylee and played with her while her parents shopped. Beth and I then went to Toys R Us. I walked in and saw the line to check out and said 'Oh Hell No'. The line was all the way to the back of the store and back up to the front. So we left and meet the gang at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Rylee had her first taste of fish and loved it. But of course, we have found there is not much she does not like. After lunch, the gang headed home and Beth and I went to Kohl's. By now our butt are beginning to drag, so it was time to head home. Beth took a 2 hour nap and I cat napped while watching college football. We had leftovers for dinner, then headed out again. We had to go to Lowe's and then to the mall. Rylee's first birthday party is tomorrow and we needed paper. So we are finally home and I am so ready for bed. Today's picture is of Rylee and her first turkey leg.

Happy Thanksgiving...

We were up at 7:30am this morning. My turkey was not thawed out so it needed a bath for an hour. I put it in the over around 9:15am and started making apple salad. I did up all the dishes and set the table. Beth left around 11:30am to go to her dad's house. I kept watching the temperature on the turkey and hoped it would reach 180 by 2pm. It was done around 2:20pm which worked even better. I made the stuffing, green bean casserole, and the sweet potato casserole and put them in the oven. Beth and her dad were here around 3:15pm and Frank was about 30 minutes away. I had dinner on the table around 3:30pm and we had just started eating when Frank walked in. Dinner was great and we all ate too much. I put the first round dishes in the dishwasher and we then had pie. Yum Yum. Jess came by to visit and we had a great time. I was able to get thought all the ads and we are headed to Wal-mart at midnight. They have several things we want to look at. So Happy Thanksgiving to all and hope you had a wonderful day. Safe wishes to those who will be shopping on Black Friday.

The Day Before...

We were up around 8am this morning. I fixed breakfast and then Beth and I went to the store and then had to pick up Gabby. We got home and Buster was glad to see his friend. Kyle went downstairs to do the floors. I reheated the leftover pizza from last night for lunch. Kyle finished the upstairs floors and we went to the garage. I wanted to get all the Christmas stuff down from the attic while I had the boy. We carried a few of the tubs to the basement and the rest are for outside decorating. We came inside and Kyle and I went downstairs to watch a movie, Robin Hood. Beth began making her pies. I have found it is better to stay away when she is making pies. Maggie came by around 5pm to get Kyle and Gabby. Beth finally finished making 4 pies. Beth still had to go out and get beer for tomorrow. So while she was out, she picked up KFC for dinner. Dawn called and said Rylee now has pink eye. Poor Thing. The doctor called in some meds, so hopefully she will better soon, I am ready for bed as tomorrow will be a busy day of cooking.

To Do List

We were up at 7am this morning. I went to pick up Kyle at 8:45am and Kim dropped off Jojo at 9am. Beth and Jojo made pretzels and Kyle and I worked on the to do list. I had him cut down all the mums and blood grass. Then bag all the plants and put them in the trash. We then load up the tiki bar and put it in the shed. We then cleaned out the window well and set up the nemo area. Beth and Jojo finished making pretzels and we finished up things outside. I had to leave at 12:30 to go get my hair cut and colored. I had Kyle bag up all the magazines, so we could take them to the recycle dump tomorrow. I got home around 2pm and had some lunch. Beth and Jojo were watching a movie and Kyle was on the computer. Lynne came to pick up Jojo around 4pm. We ordered pizza for dinner and Kyle and I watch a movie. It was a great day and we got a lot done on the to do list. Tomorrow will be a busy day again. Today's picture is of Rylee checking out the thing on her menu.

A Little Christmas Shopping..

Since we did not go to bed until after 1am, we slept until 9am this morning. We had breakfast and Beth went down to work on the bathroom. I took a shower and then called my mom to chat for a while. Beth came up to take her shower and we left to go to Reading. We did a little Christmas shopping and had lunch at Olive Garden. I love the soup, salad, and bread stick combo. We then came home and unloaded the truck. Beth went downstairs to work some more on the bathroom. She wanted to get most of the painting done today. We have Jojo and Kyle all day tomorrow, so she will not get to work on tomorrow. We had a easy dinner of hot pockets and sweet potato fries as we had a big lunch. We are watching MNF, but will not be able to watch it to the end as we have to be up at 7am in the morning. It is suppose to rain in the afternoon and I want Kyle to help me with some stuff outside. Tomorrow is the last nice day for a week or so. The highs after tomorrow will be in the mid 40's and the lows in the mid 20s. We believe we will have to turn the heater on then.

Chiefs win..Sorry Mom

Beth was up and out the door by 8am. I had a shower and just finishing making the bed, when she returned home. We had breakfast and read the paper. We then headed over to Dawn and Jo's house. We got the tiles and molding back on the bar and most of the stuff in it place. Rylee got up from her nap around 3pm. She still has a snotty nose and a cough. She loves being downstairs. We left after the first set of games and came home. We stopped and picked up dinner on the way. We are now watching the Eagles game and hoping for a win. Things are looking good so far. We have a busy week ahead and look forward to having the kids off and on all week.

Construction begins...

Beth was up early this morning and ready to get started on the downstairs bathroom. I was content to just sleep. I got up and we had breakfast and I took a shower. Beth went to Lowe's and then to the grocery store for me. I started laundry and went through the foot high stack of magazines for the last 3 days. Beth went downstairs to start painting and patching. Buster and I watched football in the scrap booking room. OK, Buster slept and I watched football. We had tacos for dinner and then relaxed the rest of the evening. we are going to Dawn and Jo's house tomorrow to install the tile and the molding around the bar. Then the bar and downstairs will be open for parties again. Of course there will be time for Rylee before the games start.

Early Breakfast..

We got up at 7am this morning, so we could have breakfast with Dawn. It was kinda nice to have breakfast out on a weekday. I had biscuits and gray and the other 2 had eggs, potatoes, and ham/sausage. After breakfast, Dawn went to do her shopping and we went to Lowe's. We got the paint and molding for the downstairs bathroom. We came home and Beth went to her dad's house. I to the garage to cut the tiles for Dawn and Jo's bar area. After that, I cleaned the middle section of the garage. It seems to be the catch all for everything we have worked on. It was time to put everything away and get it ready for the winter. It did not take long and most if was crap that was thrown away. After that, I came in the house to warm up and watched a movie. There are a lot of good ones On Demand this month. Beth came home around 4pm and I fixed dinner. I called my mom to see how she did with her colon test today. She was doing good and everything was fine. It was a cold day today, but will warm up a few days next week. Kyle is coming over to help me with a couple of things and to see a movie. It will be fun.

Cheeseburger In Paradise

After showers and breakfast, we headed to Exton. we needed to go to BJ's. So we went to Micheal's first. They still had the fake pumpkins, so we picked up a couple more. I needed some more Zip Dry for my scrap booking projects and we got a couple of Halloween things that were now 80% off. We then went to Cheeseburger in Paradise. We love that place. I had the Caribbean Chicken salad. It had apples, pineapple, oranges, almonds, and chicken with a citrus dressing. It was sure good. We then went to BJ's. We got a 20 pound turkey for Thanksgiving and will have leftovers for days. We headed home in hopes of beating the traffic. I fixed smoked sausage and porgies for dinner. This had become our favorite meal. We are now watching football. I love having NFL football on Thursday night. We are getting up early to have breakfast with Dawn.

House Sitting..

We were up at 6am this morning. We had to be at Dawn and Jo's house by 8am and we made it. Dawn called at 8:20am to tell us the carpet guys would not be there until between 11 and 2pm. So we sat and waited. Dawn came home around 10am but had to leave at noon as she has sold a house and had paperwork to do for it. Beth left to go get lunch and the carpet guys were there 5 minutes after she left. I showed them the area and they began working. Beth came back with lunch of pretzel dogs. They were good, but would have been better with out the cheese on them. The guys finished up around 4:15pm and left. Dawn picked up Rylee from daycare and then came home. They did a good job and it all looks nice. The did scratch the newly painted wall, but it can be fixed. We came home and had dinner and are ready for bed.

One thing done...

I slept until 8:30am this morning and Beth got up at 9:30am. It was a exciting game last night and we watched the whole thing. I was feeling a little better this morning, so I made eggs and bacon for breakfast. We took showers and I went downstairs to start on cleaning a spot for the Christmas boxes once we get them from the attic. One thing off the to do list. Dawn came by around noon to drop off her garage door opener. the carpet guy will be there anywhere from 8am to 6pm. Beth left to go to her dad's house. I did nothing while she was gone. We had dinner and then went shopping. Beth's dad wants a cassette player. Do you know how hard it is to find one that is simple to operate and does not cost an arm and a leg. We found one at Sears, but want to look around some more. It was raining all day, but the temperature was not bad. Some how my facebook account was suspended and I had to send a bunch of stuff to prove who I am. So I am hoping it will we back up tomorrow. What a pain in the butt this has been. I am not even sure why it was suspended. Today's picture is of Payton playing with the Mr. Potato head.

Not Feeling well..

We were up at 7:30am this morning as we had to see Dr. Bill at 9am. I have been having problems with my arm going to sleep at night and my neck is stiff. We had to take in food products for their food drive. So we gathered what we had and were on our way. It was very foggy out this morning. Dr Bill adjusted my neck which I knew would not be good later in the day, but would feel better tomorrow. Since we took in food products, we got our appointment for free. What a deal. We then went to Lowe's to look at several things for the bathroom and still can not find a vanity we like. So the search is still on, but will not stop progress from happening. We came home and I was starting to not feel well. My head hurt and I was just not feeling well. I sat around most of the day and did nothing. I did put a roast on and knew it would not be ready for dinner, but will be better tomorrow. So we had sweet potato fries and salad for dinner. And of course the Eagles play tonight, but I don't think I will make it through the whole game.

Demo done..

Beth was up at 7am this morning and off to church. I got up at 8:30am. I took a shower and finished folding the laundry. After church, we went to breakfast at the diner. After breakfast, we came home and worked on the bathroom. We turned off the water and removed one of shutoff valves, since they are all the same. We then went to Home Depot to get valves and to look at mirrors and vanities. I think we found a mirror, but still needed to take a couple of measurements. So we came home and I installed the shutoff valves and then we removed the toilet. We slowly turned the water back on and we only had one little leak and were able to tighten the valve to seal it. So all the demo is done on the downstairs bathroom. Beth will paint the walls next. It is sure different not being able to use the bathroom downstairs when watching football (and drinking beer). We had Jack Stack Bar-B-Que for dinner and boy was it good. We just love ordering online and having it delivered. The next best thing to being there. If we could just get the rest of our favorite place to in KC to deliver.

Clean Up...

We woke up around 8am this morning. Dawn text to let us know Rylee was better, but Jo was taking her to the doctor at 8:45am. We had showers, picked up donuts, and headed to Dawn's house. We were there about 15minutes when Jo called to say she was on her way home. The doctor said Rylee was fine and that the stuff coming from her ears was ear wax that had melted due to her high fever. I did not know that could happen. So Jo got home and I got Rylee while they began cleaning the basement. The carpet guy came by at 11am and they will have new carpet on Wednesday. I put Rylee down for a nap around 1pm. She was not happy about taking a nap, but needed one. She had just got to sleep, when the guys came to delivery and set up the new fridge. It did not take them long and the new one was ready to go. We were on a roll with the downstairs when Rylee started crying. I went upstairs to get her and she was not really awake. I picked her up and rocked her a little and she went back to sleep. She slept for about 20 more minutes and was then awake. We went downstairs and played for a while and had a fruit snack. They finished the basement and we left around 5:30pm to come home. It was a fun day spent with friends.

Rylee sick...

Beth was up at 7am this morning. She took a shower and was hoping Dawn could go to breakfast with her. I slept late and could care less about breakfast. Dawn could not go as Rylee was sick and cried all night long. She wanted to know if we could watch her while she did her afternoon run. We said sure. Beth went to her dad's and I did some laundry. I went to Lowe's to get some swifter cleaner and then to Micheal's. Dawn came by around 1pm to drop off Rylee. You could tell by looking at her eyes that she did not feel good. I fed her some lunch and she played with her toys for awhile. She then walked around the house. She was co cute in the little footy jammies. Beth came home around 1:45pm. We went downstairs to play. she began to get fussy around 4pm and fell asleep. She was all stopped up and snoring. Dawn came by around 4:30pm. Rylee woke up crying and pulling at her ears. Poor thing. we felt bad for her as there was nothing we could do to make it better. Dawn headed home and we went out to dinner. We then had some shopping to do after dinner. Dawn sent a text around 7:30pm saying she had a temp of 102 and stuff was coming out of her ears. We called when we came back home and she was doing a little better. Her nose was finally running clear and she was sleeping in her crib. So we will see how she is in the morning. We were going to watch her tomorrow while Dawn and Jo worked on cleaning their basement and getting ready for her birthday party. We may just go over and watch her there and help get things done faster, so they can spend time with her.

Demo...

After breakfast, I picked up all of Buster's bedding and put them in the washer. He had a grooming appointment at 11:30am. Beth took him over a little after 11am. I went downstairs and started demo on the downstairs bathroom. I turned off the water to the sink and was able to pull it out and take it upstairs to the trash. I was not able to turn the water off to the toilet, so I waited for Beth to come home. Once she was home she vacuumed the upstairs, and then we took out the mirror and found a big square hole where a set in medicine cabinet had been. So we are discussing our option for that. We turned off the water to the toilet, but the water was still coming out. So we need to turn all the water off and replace all the shut off values on the toilet and the sink. So that will be a Monday project. So we had lunch and talked about what we could do. Buster was ready to be picked up around 2pm. Beth left around 3pm to go get Jojo from school. She called to tell me she was stopping at Home Depot to look at mirror and vanities and that Kim will just meet her there to pick up Jojo. I fixed dinner of chicken, rice, and peas. Beth had to leave at 7pm to go over and watch Jojo while Kim and Lynne went to parent teacher conference at school. We are now watching the start of the Thursday's night football games. Beth is getting up early and go to her dad's and we will try and get the Christmas lights up in the afternoon.

Payton..

We were up at 7am this morning and Maggie dropped off Payton around 7:30am. We had breakfast and I took a shower. While Beth was taking a shower, Payton and I went downstairs to play with the Play Dough. We made monsters and it was a lot of fun. We then left and went to Target. We did some toy shopping and a few groceries. When we got home, I made lunch of grilled cheese. Payton then went to take a nap. Aunt Beth was going to go in, but got a phone call. Payton had fallen asleep sitting up holding the penguin as you can see from today's picture. After a 2 hour nap, he was up and ready to make cookies. We took sugar cookie mix and used a dinosaur cookie cutter. Payton and Beth decorated the cookies as I cut them out. We had a few before dinner and they were good. We played go fish and Uno Moo. They are board games for his age. He did really well and even won a couple of times. We then had dinner of hot dogs with mac and cheese. Since DJ did not have to go to her meeting, her and Kyle spent some time together and we took Payton home around 6:45pm. It was a great day and we had a good time with him.

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

Movie Day...

We slept until 8am. We had breakfast and sat around in our jammies until 11am. We took showers and headed to Oaks to see a movie. We saw the Legend of the Guardians. It was pretty cool. We left and came home and Beth cut the backyard. It should be the last time for it. I fixed kielbasa and porgies for dinner and they were really good. We have Payton in the morning, so it will be an early rise and shine day. We are going to go ahead and bite the bullet and have the new water pump installed. It is the best thing now while we still have water and heat.

Monday, November 8, 2010

Good News, Bad News...

We were up around 8am this morning. We had breakfast and showers and then I went shopping. I had to go to Target to get vitamins and then on to Wal-mart. I was back home around noon and we had leftover pizza. We were able to get a plumber out today to look at the well. It was a good news bad news kind of deal. We were losing pressure due to a pipe fitting having a hole in it. The bad news is we are going to need a new pump real soon. We will get no notice that it is going out. We will just not have any water. So the question is do we bite the bullet and get it replaced now or wait until it goes out not knowing how long it will be? He said a new one would cost around $1500. He also said we should notice a drop in our electric bill as the pump will not be running all the time now. But who really knows what our electric bill is. We got rid of the hot tub, but then had the pool and air conditioner. Then the pool is closed but we have the running water pump. Just as we get that fixed, it is time to turn on the heater. One thing after another. I fixed pork and sauerkraut for dinner. I don't like the sauerkraut, but don't mind the pork being cooked in it.

Good game, bad calls...

We slept late this morning. We had breakfast and Beth went to church. She stopped at WAWA to get hoagies for lunch. We had just started watching the games when Dawn invited us over to watch the games at their house. We who could turn down watching the game and playing with Rylee. So we order food from the Italian place and picked it up on our way. Rylee was still sleeping when we got there, so we watched the games. The Eagles and the Chiefs did not play until 4:30pm. Rylee finally woke up from her 3 hour nap. She is still sporting the knot on her forehead from the fall she took at daycare, but it does not seem to bother her. She is getting really brave in her walking. She is even able to sit up from her crawling position. The Eagles game began and it they looked good today. They were called for a couple of penalties that were so not correct, but did get a win against the colts. The Chiefs just need to lean how to finish a game. But being in the bottom of the league for so long, they have come a long way. We came home and gathered the trash as tomorrow is trash day. We will have all the kids, on different days, next week, so we will have to turn the heat on for them. We have Payton all day Wednesday and I will pickup Kyle after school. We are watching Jojo after school until her bedtime on Thursday. And then we will have Rylee most of the day Saturday, as Dawn and Jo are doing the final cleanup on the basement and getting ready for Rylee's birthday party. We are hoping to get the lights up on the house as it is nice all week. So it will be a busy week. The car is working better. They found a piece of paper that fell down in the dash that was making the noise. So all is well, but now we have to have the water tank looked at in the house as it is losing pressure. If it is not one thing it is another.

Typical Saturday..

We got up at 8am this morning. It was another frosty day out. We had showers, breakfast, and headed to the mall for the Hallmark open house. We got a few Christmas cards, a count down ornament for the tree, and our treat bag. It was filled with some really cool stuff and was worth going. We then went to Micheal's and I found one of the punches I was looking for. We were back home by 10:30am. we had lunch and I settled in to watch college football and finish the laundry. Beth worked on the downstairs floor and almost has it done. We are going to pull out the vanity and sink tomorrow for the trash man. We did get a new toilet and new light fixture, but will look at vanities later. We went to the grocery store after dinner and are all set for pork and sauerkraut tomorrow for dinner.

Shopping...

We woke up around 8am this morning and the rain had stopped. We had breakfast and Beth went to get her hair cut. After she got back, we headed to Exton. We were looking for some fake leafy plants to add to the wooden faces we got at the folk festival. As you can see for the photo they are pretty cool looking. We have 4 different ones hanging in the dining and living room. We stopped at AC Moore first and they had nothing, but did find a couple of punches for scrap booking. We then went to Wegman's for a few groceries. We were having fondue for dinner and wanted to see if they had anything. Then we had lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise. They have the best burgers. The final stop was at Micheal's. I did find the plants they and a bonus. They had the large fake pumpkins. Beth is going to cut them over the winter and have the ready for next Halloween. We then came home for a rest. We had both cheese and broth fondue. The cheese was OK but had too much of the Swiss taste for me. We used fillet and chicken in the broth with some other seasoning. It was really good. We are getting up early in the morning as Hallmark is having a Holiday Open House and we want to go. Then it is on to watching College football the rest of the day.

Rainy Day...

We woke up this morning to rain. And it rained all day long. Beth left to go to the dentist at 9:30am. She stopped by Micheal's to pick up the mats we had ordered for the Disney pictures. We finished framing them and put away the spring and Halloween ones. I made stew today and we took it up to Beth's dad for dinner. Frank was in town for the next week, so Beth will not have to go up there as much. Dawn came by to pick up Beth and they went to pick up Dawn's car. They could not figure out why it was sticking nor could they cause the problem. Figures. Beth has 18 more tiles to remove from the bathroom downstairs. We are starting to look at vanities and stools and hope to have them at least purchases in the next few weeks.

Not much today...

We woke this morning to a heavy frost again. The temperature gauge said it was 30 degrees outside. We had some breakfast and really did nothing the rest of the day. By noon time it was still only 53 degrees outside. Beth worked on the tiles in the downstairs bathroom. I cleaned the house a little but we mostly played on the computer. Beth went with Kim to go pick up Jojo from school, since we have to get her next week. Dawn called around 4:30 and they needed to borrow the jeep. Her car was stuck in 3rd gear and was going to the shop. They came by after picking up Rylee form daycare. Rylee had fallen just before they got there and had a big knot on her forward head. She was not crying but it looked really sore. I jut love the way she gives me hugs and snuggles into to me when I pick her up. We walked around outside while Dawn go the stuff for the jeep. They left and we came inside and had dinner. We had ghoulish for dinner and corn bread. Maybe we will be more productive tomorrow and maybe not. .

Frosty morning...

We woke up this morning to frost all over everything. I even had to let the truck warm up. We took showers, had breakfast, and headed to pick up Beth's car. She left the dealership and headed to her dad's house. I came home. I wanted to get the Halloween stuff packed up so we could put it away in the attic. I had to get 2 more tubs to account for all the new stuff we got. Beth came home around 4pm and began cutting the front yard. I am hoping this is the last time. I pruned the rose bush and started cutting the mums. I found 2 holes where something had been digging. Not sure if they are winter homes or just homes. But I wanted to put my gloves on before moving forward. So I will work on that tomorrow and then all thing will be ready for the great winter weather. We are hoping for at least more more day of warm and sunny weather to get the lights up. We went to the mall to see if we could get an adaptor for the fogging witch. They have the adaptor, but now we need to see what size attachment we need. So Beth is taking witchy poo for a ride tomorrow since they have 100 different sizes and I am not going to buy and take back until we find the right one.

Post Halloween shopping...

We had to get up at 7:30am this morning as we had to see Dr. Bill. After our adjustments, we headed to Target to check out Halloween sales. They had nothing we really wanted, so we headed to Dawn's house for a visit. We were there about an hour and then headed to Super wal-mart. We picked up a few things and then headed to the Target by us. We hit the jack pot there. Got some new lights, some fog juice, another fog machine, and some candy. We then went to the Halloween store. They had a witch with a fogging cauldron, but no power cord or instructions. It was $50 buck and a good deal at that. We think we might be able to get a power cord for it and it so we saved $200. We will see. We picked up all the Halloween stuff from the yard and put it in the garage. I will pack it up tomorrow and put it in the attic. We will get the Christmas Lights down and will put them up the next nice day. They did not really find anything wrong with the car. The said a piece of paper slide down in the dash , but that noise is still there. There might be another piece there, but it would take 7 or 8 hours to take the dash apart to find out. For $700, we can just turn up the radio a bit more. So we will pick it up tomorrow.

Happy Halloween...

We got up around 8am this morning. We all had Lucky Charms cereal for breakfast. Aunt Beth got Jojo ready for church and I took a shower. Kim and Lynne came by around 9:15 to pick up Jojo. Beth left for church around 10:15am and I headed to BJ's for a few things. Beth had to drop off the car AGAIN, so I went shopping while she was in church and she drove to the dealership. I picked her up and we headed back home. We had a quick lunch and watched football the rest of the day. We did get all the Halloween stuff out by 4pm as DJ, Maggie, and the boys came by first. Kim, Lynne, and Jojo came by a little later. We had about 5 more kids come by the rest of the night. Today's pictures are of the kid's in their costumes.

Jojo overnight..

We were up at 8am this morning. We had breakfast and took showers. Beth went to pick up the snow blower and then on to check on her dad. I started laundry and work on mom's calender. Beth came home around 1:30pm. She began working on cleaning out the pumpkin guts. She had 2 of them that she needs to carve. Kim and Lynne dropped off Jojo around 4:30pm. They had plans for tonight and we are watching her overnight. The will pick her up around 9am tomorrow. We had steak, cheesy potatoes, and corn and she cleaned her plate. She was not sure about the potatoes before dinner, but loved them after tasting them. We then watched the The Great Fairy Rescue movie. It was really good. Aunt Beth got Jojo ready for bed around 8am and Buster is sleeping with her now. We will be having Lucky Charms for breakfast. If I am lucky, I might get a little bowl. Between the 2 of them they can eat the whole box. We have to make sure all the Halloween stuff is ready to go as tomorrow is Halloween. We are not sure how many kids will be by as there are so many new families in the neighbor.

Halloween Parade...

We woke up this morning to a cold grey day. We had oatmeal for breakfast and I went outside to take care of the banana plants. I cut each one down at ground level and then put straw over the stump. I then put all the leaves from each plant over the straw and them landscape fabric to hold it all down. It did not take long and I am glad it is done. I them came in a took a shower and we headed to Micheal's. We need to get mats for the pictures we got in Disney and of course we had to have them custom cut. We then headed to AC Moore for picture frames for the other photos we got in Disney that had mats. We had lunch at Sonic and then came home. We headed to Rylee's daycare around 4pm. They were having a Halloween Parade for all the kids. She was a pirate princess and was so cute. After the parade, we headed over to Dawn and Jo's house for dinner and to play with Rylee. She was so tired from daycare and all the events of the day. The weather man say it will get to 35 degrees tonight. We are trying to hold off on turning on the big furnace until the last possible night. We have the little one in the living room on and things are nice, so we will see.

Cold weather on the way...

We have decided that sleeping til 9am is out and we need to get up by 8am everyday. I fixed a breakfast of bacon, eggs, and potatoes. We took showers and Beth left to go to her dad's house. I started pulling all the flowers from the flower bed and trimming the dead lillies. It only took a couple of hours to get everything done and it looks so much better. I fixed myself lunch and then played POGO on the computer for awhile. Beth came home around 4pm. I fixed ribs and sweet potato fries for dinner. We then settled in to watch TV. The cold weather is on it way and the high for the next week or so is 60 an the low is 32. So the priority for tomorrow is to get the banana plants cut down and mulched. One had already blown over with all the wind. We are then going to see Rylee in her daycare Halloween parade.

Cupcake day...

We woke up this morning to a rainy humid day. We had breakfast and took showers. I began making cupcakes and Beth was in the office. Her dad had already called twice today and it was not going to be a good day. After baking the cupcakes, I ran to Super Wal-mart for a couple of things and a roasted chicken. We had part of it for lunch and the rest for dinner. I started decorating the cupcakes and they were not working the way I wanted, so I went to plan B. They turned out pretty good. After dinner, we took them over the DJ and Maggie's house so Payton could take them to school tomorrow. He like them, so it was all worth it.

I was wrong...

We woke up this morning and it sure looked like it could rain. We took showers and had breakfast. I was wrong and we both wore shorts and t-shirts today. We could see our AAA travel agent at 2:30pm. We went to the mall and had lunch and shopped around. We then headed to the AAA store. After a phone call and several questions, we found out that we need to wait awhile to make our reservations. She said it was so early that we should wait and there might be better prices and other package deals. We were able to determine some prices and the best way for us to go. We then went to the grocery store and then home. I fixed dinner of pork chops, stuffing, and cream corn. I then folded the laundry and Beth went to work on her bathroom tiles. I am making cupcakes for Payton to take to school on Thursday. I am in a baking mood and want the items to leave the house after making.

Clean House...

We were up around 8am. Beth took and shower and I changed into work clothes. We had breakfast and Beth was off to her dad's house. I began work on the clutter all over the house. There were magazines, paper, toys, and just stuff everywhere. I also did the laundry. The cold weather just doubles the amount of clothes we wear. Oh to have summer back again. It was a nice day and I had the windows open. I finished the cleaning around 4pm and took a shower. Beth was home around 5pm. We had leftover burgers and hot dogs for dinner. Beth went downstairs to work on the floor. She wants to get one tile a night removed from the bathroom floor and then we can work on giving it a face lift. I think the tile have been down for the last 47 years, so they are well stuck to the floor. I also learned today that my cousin's wedding is going to be March 5, 2011. That sucks for us as we will be coming home form Disneyland and will not be able to make it. Hopeful there will be a video of it that we will be able to view. Congrats to you Julie and we are so happy for you. We are hoping to go and talk to our AAA travel lady tomorrow about the cruise and find the best deal we can.

Party Day...

We got up, took showers, and headed to the diner for breakfast. We still had a lot to do before the party. After breakfast, we headed to the store for the last minute items. Once home, Beth went downstairs to load the cooler and I started the food. I made the mac and cheese ahead of time and put it in the over around noon. We were having brats, dogs, and burgers, so I fired up the grill around 12:30pm. Everyone started arriving around then and the food was ready to go by 1:15pm. We had a house full of great friends today and had a really good time. At half time, Dawn, Jeff, and I went over to look at the new house across the street. The had all the sheet rock up and you could tell the rooms and sizes. The rooms on the main floor were really small and the layout was really choppy. There were 4 bedrooms upstairs and the master bathroom was way too small. The basement had a lot of room, but again the design was not open and too many rooms with no purpose. Not what I expected in a 380 thousand dollar house. After the eagles loss, everyone started to clear out and all were gone by 6pm. We cleaned up, which did not take long and are now watching the Packers and Vikings game. Beth is going to her dad's tomorrow and I am cleaning house, so need to get up early. Yea... Today's picture was taken at Disney during the fireworks.

Halloween is up...

After breakfast, we went in the attic and got all the Halloween stuff down. We then started putting it up in the yard. I stopped at noon to watch the college football games. I put a pot of chili on for tomorrow and made lunch. Beth came inside and we ate. At halftime, we went back to finish the Halloween stuff. It took us about 4hour total to get everything the way it should be. Beth took a shower and headed to church. I took a shower and started dinner. We had steak and backed potatoes and it was good. We then went out to check the light since it was dark. we still need to get everything on timers and need to move the fog machine, but all is good. Beth is watching the Phillies and cleaning downstairs and I am watching football and looking at cruise stuff. I think we found the cruise we want and are going to talk to our AAA rep on Monday about prices. We are having about 16 people over tomorrow for the game, so it should be fun.

Marching Boy...

The alarm went off at 7:30am, but we both were too tired to get up. We slept another hour and then took showers. We decided to have grilled ham and cheese for brunch. We left to go and take flowers to Beth's mom's grave as today was her birthday. We then went to Wal-mart for pumpkins and food items for the party Sunday. We got home and Beth cut the front yard. We are hoping to get all the Halloween stuff out tomorrow. It was a really cold and windy day. Our little heater is working great and we have yet to turn the big furnace on. Kyle is playing the drums in school and was marching tonight at the High School football game. As good godparents we went and sat in the freezing cold to see him play for 5 minutes. He did really well. We came home cold chilled to the bone and are watch TV and getting ready for bed. Today's picture is of the Haunted Mansion at Disney.

Run Run Run

We got up at 7:30am this morning. We had showers and were just eating breakfast when Dawn got here. We left around 9:30 and headed to Exton for some shopping. we went to Party City first. I got some Halloween stuff and plates for this weekends football party. Dawn got some Elmo stuff for Rylee's first birthday party. We then went to BJ's Wholesale club. After there, we headed to Cheeseburgers in Paradise. Dawn had to be back to the bus depot by 1:20pm and we made it there in time. We took her stuff as she had candy bars and it was a little warm out is which not a good combination. We came home and unloaded the car. We both tried to take naps but were not so lucky. We left around 4:30pm to go have dinner with Beth's dad. After dinner we stopped by Dawn and Jo's house to drop off their stuff and to play with the baby. When I opened the door to the house Rylee saw me and came walking across the floor and gave me a big hug. Boy does she ever melt my heart. We are now watching the Phillies game and are hoping for a win to bring the game back here, but are not sure that is going to happen. Today's picture was taken at, your got it, Disney.

New Heater...

We were up around 8:30am this morning. It was really foggy out and cold. Beth was watching a program on TV about the Eden pure heater. It is the same one her dad uses and one we had done research on. We had breakfast and took showers, then went to the store to check them out. We talked to the guy and gave us some information on them. We left and headed to ACE hardware to see if they carry them and were looking for the bigger model. To our luck they did have them and we got one. They cost around $400 dollars and we are hoping we will see a return on it by not turning the big heater on in the house for awhile. After about a couple of hours of running you could feel the difference in the living and dining room, which are the only rooms were wanted to heat. We like having the bedroom cool for sleeping. We then went to AAA to get some information on Panama cruises. We had dinner and Beth is now watching the Phillies and hoping for a win. I found that being in a different room is better for both of us. Today's picture was taken at Disney.

Phillies lose...

Again it was nice sleeping weather and we took full advantage of it. We had breakfast and took showers. Beth headed to her dad's house and I went to Target. I had to pick up the treats for the kids for Halloween. I then headed over to get my hair cut and colored. Beth came home a little before 4pm. The Phillies started and boy did they look bad today. I thought at one point I was going to have to put Beth in a time out. It was just better for me to stay in the office. After their lose we had dinner. We are going to set up all the Halloween stuff tomorrow. Today's picture is of Rylee playing in the car yesterday. She is not sure how to push it, but like to be pushed.

Playing with Rylee..

I was up at 7:30am and took a shower. Beth got up as I was getting out and took her shower. We had appointments to see Dr. Bill. After that we went to the bank and to the Verizon store. We had a wireless card that was losing power and we real did not need it any more. So we cancelled the contract and saved $60 a month. We then came home as Rylee was coming over with Dawn around 11:30am. Rylee got another shot today, but did not seem to mind at all. We had leftover pizza for lunch and Rylee went down for a nap. She was so tired. Dawn went back to work and I finished the laundry. Rylee got up around 3:30pm. We put on her jacket and went outside to play. As you can see from today's picture, she had a good time. Dawn came by around 4:30 to pick her up. We then had dinner and are watching the football game. Phillies play tomorrow.
