Tiki Bar vs Winter

Today had absolutely beautiful weather, so after we had breakfast around 9:30, we went outside and did some fall clean up. Jeanette worked on the flower beds by the driveway and by the mailbox. She pulled all of the annuals out and thinned out the hosta (with a pick ax, I might add). I kept busy by trimming the shrubs along the front walkway, around the light post and the lonely boxwood by our wrought iron flag pole. I still have more to do, but the weather is changing and I will have to take advantage when it is nice out, even if it is a little cooler.

We had decided to store the tiki bar in the shed for the winter, so a little rearranging was in order again. Jeanette put all the table umbrellas in the covers and got them stowed away for the winter. Now even though the bar is on wheels, we have to lift it into the truck bed and drive it from the pool area to the shed. It isn't as bad as it sounds, but I'm really glad I put the double door gate at the bottom of the fence so we can get a truck into the pool area. So what if I have to move the snow blower every time I need to cut the grass, maybe 8 more times, the tiki bar is safe from winter!
