I was up at 7:15am this morning getting the turkey ready for the oven at 8am. Beth went out and got donuts and a paper. She was going to Boscov, as they were giving out gift card for various items. Well after looking at the lines, she made a u turn and came home. She is not one to wait in a long line. I had to make deviled eggs, apple salad, and get the sweet potatoes cooking. Beth wanted to have dinner around noon, so that was my time frame. The turkey took 3 1/2 hours of cooking and I was able to get the stuffing, sweet potato casserole, and rolls in the oven. I had everything on the table and ready to eat at 12:05pm. Good timing on my part I must say. Everything was great and we watched 2 of the 3 football games on TV. Neither one was really much of a contest. Beth's mom and dad stopped by for dessert, but ended up taking theirs home as they were both stuffed from their dinner. Michael's was open today and I had a coupon for 30% off everything, so off I went. Did not really see much, but shopping with a coupon is always good. We are going to bed early as tomorrow is Black Friday shopping. Beth is dragging her feet, but can be bribed into going with a treat of lunch out. Today's picture is of our thanksgiving feast. We are so thankful for our family and friends.
