Killer wasps...

It was another nice relaxing lazy morning. We watched some TV before getting out of bed to have breakfast. I then went out to water and Beth took a shower. She had to go get Buster some dog food as he was completely out. After watering, I was on a mission to try and get rid of the cicada killer wasp nest in the back yard. As you can see from today's picture, they are a huge wasp and very hard to get rid of. Since we have a ton of cicadas in the woods behind us, there are a lot of them. We have had them before, but not this bad. I figured if I used the hose to flood the nest, they might get the message to leave. So off I went. I was able to kill 2 of the wasp and piss one off a whole lot. So I called it quits for the day and will how many new nests are there tomorrow. I then took a shower and we began looking for clothes for the wedding. Beth's niece was getting married and the wedding was in the heart of Philly. Beth's sister in law came over around 2pm and was riding with us. We left around 2:15pm in hopes of making it to the wedding by 3:30pm. We ran into traffic the last 9 miles and it took us 35 minutes to get through it. We were able to find a close place to park and hurried into the church. We made it with 5 minutes to spare. The ceremony was short and then we had to move the car to the reception. We found a parking garage, parked, and walked to the reception a block away. We found out it did not start for another hour, so we sat and waited. It finally got started around 5:30pm and the food was served at 6pm. They did the speeches and I was hoping for the cake cutting, but was wrong and the band began playing. We finally decided to leave at 8pm and they were going to cut the cake in a while. Too late. We headed home and ran into more traffic. It is never a good time to go to Philly with waiting in a traffic line some where.
