I woke up at 7:30am this morning and took first shower. Beth got up right after that. We had to be ready by 9am as the cable guy was coming. We have had problems with the phone going dead and the cable dropping connection. The guys arrived at 9am, just as I was leaving. I had to go drop off the dry cleaning and mail a package to my mom. When I got back, the guys were still here. They had determined that the house wiring we had was bad and that we were getting a lot of noise on the line causing it to drop signals. So they replaced the lines in the basement and things seem to be better. The real test will come on Sunday when we fire up the laptop for the football games. After they left, we went to the nursery to get a bale of straw. I need to cut down the banana plants and get them ready for winter. Beth did the weed whacking in the back yard in prep for the mowing. I pulled all the flowers from the pots and moved the pots to the pool pump area. Beth was whacking the weeds by the coffin and I hear her yell and saw her running. I knew that she had seen a snake and I was correct. She yelled at me to go find it and to make sure it did not come after her while she finished the weed whacking. I tried not to laugh, but it was too late. Of course I never did see it and was told I could go about my business. We just about have everything picked up and ready for winter. Should be able to finish it tomorrow. I came in the house and finished the stew for dinner. I made cheese and garlic biscuits to go with it. We are going to look at getting a small room heater to see if we can use it to heat only the rooms we are in for now. It should save on the heating bills for awhile. Today's food picture is from Italy. The food on the left is Polpettine Toscane with a Rosemary bread stick. It was a meatball in sauce and very good. The middle one is Baked cheese Ravioli. The little chocolate thing was a Cannolo Al Cioccolato. I finally got to try a drink of a Primavera Fruit Smoothie. Boy did it taste good on a hot day.
