Spring Trianing needed...
We got up around 8 am this morning. We had breakfast and headed outside. We started removing the one bush by the flagpole. I wanted to get the crape myrtle and the other flowers for that area planted before we left on vacation. So we tried to pull it out with a rope and the truck, but that did not work at all. So while I went to Lowe's for a chain, Beth and DJ dug around the bush to help loosened the roots. The lines at Lowe's were outrageous, but I got the chain. I came home and we hooked it up and with a little force, it popped free. So we began digging the rest of the roots out and getting the hole ready for the crape myrtle. The guy with Beth's new lawn mover finally arrived and she was so happy. I took over removing the roots and she went get instructions on hooking up the snow blower and how to cut grass with the mover. She parked the mover in the shed and we went back to Lowe's for dirt and to look at sprinkles for the yard. The lines were not as bad this time and we were back home around 12:30pm. We had a quick lunch and back outside. I say they should be Spring Training for lawn and flower work outside. We got the tree planted and I worked on getting the flowers planted. Beth worked on the sprinkles out front. She then began cutting the front yard. She is still learning how to use the new mower, but it will not take longs. So all the flowers are planted, the bush was removed and the crape myrtle was planted, and the grass was cut. It was a very very busy day and I am glad it is over. I finished all the laundry and put it away. We are about 90% packed for our trip, but still have a lot to do before we leave.
